How To Respond To Girls Who Call Out Game »

Impolite Graph Of The Month

August 29, 2012 by CH

It’s funny when sex differences in perception are graphically illustrated by esteemed government agencies.

Via CDC. Girls think the guys they fuck are steady boyfriends. Some of those “steady boyfriends” think the girls they fuck are casual hook-ups. Many of these misty-eyed girls are in for a rude surprise.

Also, lol at the last category. Granted, it’s a small number, but how do 1% of cohabiting, engaged, or married men not know they’re cohabiting, engaged, or married? Or maybe the girls are anticipating rings on their fingers, and just calling it a win for themselves before the polls are closed.

Do the pinheads at the CDC realize how their colorful graphs give gender neutral feminists heart attacks? Their tears of anguish salt my feasts of cruelty.

Well, just to nitpick, the 3% vs. 2% difference is easily within the standard error on that graph.

    • on August 29, 2012 at 8:02 pm cmon fuckin gguy

and it’s also not “1% of married or cohabiting men” it’s 1% of all men in the study…

So 1 out of every 3 guys that women think are in a live-in committed relationship with them, feel free as a bird and uncommitted. And we’re talking here about the dufusses who are stupid enough to give a woman the key to their place or think that living at her place saves money at no great cost to their freedom.

        • on August 30, 2012 at 11:11 am Aleph One

No, it doesn’t mean that, either.

It means that among all of the 15-19 year-olds who were surveyed, 3% of the women and 2% of the men HAD THEIR FIRST INTERCOURSE while cohabiting, engaged, or married. It says absolutely nothing about the state of their current relationship.

          • on August 30, 2012 at 11:34 am Anonymous

I realize that now. The men could have known they were cohabiting with the girl they took the virginity from, but the men weren’t virgins themselves when that happened.

  2. on August 29, 2012 at 2:38 pm betasattva

Most likely some females lose their virginity to older men, who do not show up on the graph, and the males are coupling with non-virgins.

        It really is.

    • on August 30, 2012 at 4:05 am Anonymous

Probably, but how is that reflected in the graph somehow?

I just saw “Gossip Girl” for the first time recently, the first 6 episodes.

It’s damaging feminist propaganda. 17 is legal in Manhattan. There is no way Chuck’s ultra rich alpha father would ignore Blair and Sienna for early thirties sluts.

Real alphas wouldn’t cede the hottest girls to their sons. At least not outside the feminist anglosphere.

Watching the girls have sex with boys on “Gossip Girl” is like watching a Soviet or Nazi propaganda film. In real life most 17 year old boys have no game.

      • on August 30, 2012 at 4:29 am Anonymous

I just learned that the pairs are not talking about first coitus with each other in this study. So multiple guys could be getting their first from a slut who initially gave it up in a steady relationship with a non-virgin alpha but then went wild initiating beta virgins her age (see commenter x below). One still has to wonder where and how fast that initial alpha disappeared from the “steady relationship”.

CH is right about the phenomenon but the graphs possibly don’t prove it.

        • on August 30, 2012 at 2:03 pm Tyrone

That’s how I lost my virginity. Gotta love them sluts.

    Re: your tweet:

“labor shifting elsewhere. robotization obsoletes service jobs, and most low IQ work. soon, there will be nothing to shift to.”

I predict a shift to more and more makework government jobs.

[heartiste: yes, and that's already happening. however, it is unsustainable. "sop up" economics can only work if those benefiting from the makework aren't incentivized to have kids (fat chance), and income is heavily redistributed from the small productive class to the hordes of disposables to pay their useless incomes and create the buy-back loop that supports the leisure of the elite.]

    • on August 30, 2012 at 11:15 am andronicusrex

I don’t know if I buy that whole notion. Would hordes of “graphic designers” be able to find work if we never had “web design” or “power point?”
Anyway, robotic carpenters, and probably enjoyably usable “sexbots” are likely several generations away
The real question is, can we fix our civil service systems and educational systems in time to create enough people with usable analytic and verbal skills? Boosting the IQs and abilities of the lower classes is a huge but doable challenge – neglected kids are often dumb kids; healthy, well educated kids will have better skills, centeris parabus.

Do the stats include homosexual sex and relationships?

They don’t appear to. There’s no category for glory holes or softball tournament after-parties.

I’d like to know the current hard dyke statistics. I’d put it around 30% of the young set. They should also include population centers to identify the must fucked-up, joyless places on earth.

  6. on August 29, 2012 at 2:50 pm Eoin MacAodh

The last one is not a statistically significant difference, there’s an overlapping confidence interval. While intuitively it’s the sort of thing that should always be exactly equal, in statistics the difference is not big enough to make any comment on.

  8. on August 29, 2012 at 3:35 pm T9

Your interpretation of this chart assumes that partners are losing virginity to each other, but the more obvious explanation is that more men than women are free-agents who snap up more than their share of virgins, and more men than women whose first sexual experience is in a relationship with an already experienced partner.

Which are pretty much the conditions you’d expect.

Also, the older guy factor fits into that balance just fine.

[heartiste: neither the graph, the cdc, nor i assume that the partners are losing it to each other. the point stands, though, that girls are more likely to view sex as occurring within the bounds of a steady relationship, while boys are more likely to view sex as occurring within the bounds of more fluid arrangements.

    from the cdc report:

"Figure 4 illustrates male-female differences across the types of relationships. A significantly lower percent of male teenagers reported the relationship with their first partner as ‘‘going steady,’’ compared with female teenagers, and a significantly higher percent of males reported a more casual relationship with their first partner."]

    • on August 29, 2012 at 5:07 pm Anon

      Male: sex = casual relationship
      Female: sex = serious relationship

Male: serious relationship = steady sex
Female: serious relationship = gotcha by the balls!

      Male: marriage = domestic partnership
Female: marriage = gotcha by the balls & bank account!

    • on August 30, 2012 at 7:13 am nathanwyatt

But at least–isn’t it possible that 2% of guys are cohabiting, engaged, or married to 3% of girls?

I’m aware of guys who lead two double-blind lives.

  9. on August 29, 2012 at 3:37 pm Anonymous

Through mutual friends I know a particularly repulsive yet still thoroughly slutty she beast. Having heard it address people on several occasions i have gleaned that it considers every drunk guy who has plundered its disgusting holes to have been its boyfriend at the time of said plundering, regardless of it being a one night stand or if it followed legit courtship. Thus fat slut does not see itself as fat slut, even though notch count says otherwise.

Close, but its looking at 15-19 year old girls.

  11. on August 29, 2012 at 4:12 pm The Specimen

Don’t know about the whole ”burying a fiery dagger in the heart of the feminist menace” thing, but this is a pretty hilarious graph. Good pull.

It backs up the adage that it’s the woman who decides whether they’re fucking, and the man who decides whether they’re in a relationship.

  12. on August 29, 2012 at 4:20 pm Pulsotic

Reread several times to grasp the significance. The graph does not represent fact, it represents PERCEPTION. I concur with CH’s analysis due to personal experience with my “hook-ups” that think we’re steady. But does this small demographic (15-19yo) speak for all ages? Seems to me women get jaded as they get older and betas get wistful.

[heartiste: restriction of options will skew sexual market value perception. in the 15-19 yo range, most girls are in their primes and experiencing the most options they will ever have in their lives. boys at that age aren't in their primes, but they often think like their options are limitless, due to lack of real world experience and a general teen predilection toward feelings of invulnerability.

thus, we get the clearest picture of sex differences in perception when we study men and women who have a lot of real available mate options. even in their primes, girls are apt to think the boys they are fucking are into them "that way", while boys are apt to think sex is more recreational. (and if female hypergamy is included in the analysis, we would find that the boys most likely to view sex as recreation are alpha males who have had more than one partner.) as men and women age, their options expand and contract respectively, and this will alter the way each sex perceives relationship dynamics. but i bet the general trend will hold for all age groups, as the psychological differences modified by sex are more profound than those modified by age.]

  13. on August 29, 2012 at 4:41 pm samseau

In other words, virgin girls want to spend a few weeks getting to know a guy before they put out.

Conversely, virgin guys just want to lose the V-card by any means necessary.

[heartiste: and: virgin girls are more likely to categorize a fuck buddy as a boyfriend to alleviate their feelings of slut shame. virgin boys are more likely to get a confidence boost from a lay, and then decide that their relationship status is 'available for trading up'.]

    • on August 30, 2012 at 4:17 am Anonymous

I’m seeing that now. After a game of strip poker, one girl is now saying things like “I miss you”. It’s clearly “after the fact” rationalization. It’s not bad because this rationalization clears the deck of all ASD, making ready for more action.

  14. on August 29, 2012 at 4:54 pm corvinus

    1. The harder a girl crushes on a guy, the more likely she considers him her boyfriend, even if he hasn’t a clue she’s thinking that way.

    2. Girls usually won’t have sex — especially if it’s losing their V-card — unless they think he’s her “twu wuv”. Guys OTOH just want something to stick it into.

    KUATO IS MY WINGMAN.

  16. on August 29, 2012 at 5:44 pm Anon

IMO the 1% difference can be explained by the fact that in every age group there are more men then women up until somewhere around the age 50, simply because more male babies are born then females in natural conditions. So since the ‘cohabiting, engaged, or married’ is likely a 1-on-1 pairing the absolute amount of women in certain percentage would be lesser for the same amount of men.

  17. on August 29, 2012 at 7:13 pm Tybalt

I have no idea why the incidences of first intercourse for men would be the same as those for women. I wouldn’t think they would be. Trying to compare the two is apples and oranges.

    • on August 29, 2012 at 7:19 pm Anonymous

Dude, it’s not about losing their virginity, it’s about the first time a couple has sex with each other and their perception of the relationship at that point.

      • on August 30, 2012 at 8:47 am jack

This is how interpreted it as well. Not sure where everyone got the idea that this graph is about virginity.

        • on August 30, 2012 at 11:17 am Aleph One

Uh, because when the CDC says “at first intercourse” they are referring to losing virginity. They aren’t interviewing couples, they are interviewing individuals.

Damned raciss microbes… can’t we pass a law or sumthin’?

  19. on August 29, 2012 at 7:45 pm CommenterX

It doesn’t show in any way that men or women perceive sex as occurring within the bounds of a steady relationship, only that they perceive losing their virginity as such. It refers only to age of first sexual intercourse. Thus, if a girl saves it until she’s in a serious relationship, breaks up, and revenge-fucks the entire freshman class, she would be in the statistics as “going steady” and her string of lovers would be in as “just met/friends.” This graph is unsurprising; you expect teenage dudes to give it up at the drop of a hat, and teenage girls to be more careful, until they actually do it, it ceases to be a big deal, and then maybe they go nuts.

There is simply no support for this statement: ” Girls think the guys they fuck are steady boyfriends. Some of those “steady boyfriends” think the girls they fuck are casual hook-ups. Many of these misty-eyed girls are in for a rude surprise.” Nothing in the graph indicates that this is the case; it doesn’t compare pairs, and there’s excellent reason to believe that each de-virginating does not necessarily have both partners being virgins (if this were true, your conclusion would make sense, but it’s not).

  20. on August 29, 2012 at 7:47 pm Tybalt

Anonymous, it’s about first intercourse, not with current partner but with first partner. The partners interviewed don’t match up (since I imagine most first-timers aren’t doing it with another first-timer). Google the study and read it.

  21. on August 29, 2012 at 7:48 pm Tybalt

CommenterX has it, yes. I agree… girls are more likely to give it up to a steady, boys mostly won’t give a rat’s ass.

  22. on August 29, 2012 at 8:01 pm MrChipps

Also, lol at the last category. Granted, it’s a small number, but how do 1% of cohabiting, engaged, or married men not know they’re cohabiting, engaged, or married?

The female believes they are living together just because he stays over on the weekend or left his shirrt there. While the man just thinks he’s stayed over with his fuck buddy.

  23. on August 29, 2012 at 10:02 pm Anon123

Is there any communication going on between the individual men & women? Or is any communication dishonest? (example of dishonesty: girl: “Yeah, it’s just casual *loljk*” or guy: “yeah, this is serious *loljk*”)

Sexually transmitted ones. Mental ones. Use your brain for once.

  26. on August 30, 2012 at 3:43 am Willy Wonka

The 2% vs. 3% could be due to several factors:

    - it could just look like that due to rounding (meaning it’s likely much less than a 1% difference – could be 2.51% vs 2.49% and it rounds that way when you round to the whole number)

    - Also, it could be a different sample population, meaning the guys asked weren’t necessarily boyfriends of the girls asked – they could’ve just sampled guys and girls. Yes, using a large enough random sample this is of course predictive of the overall population (that’s how polling works), but like another commenter said – well with the margin of error.

So, the idea that 1% of guys don’t realize their cohabiting, engaged, or married… is false, there’s other reasons for the difference.

  27. on August 30, 2012 at 5:40 am nathanwyatt

On one extreme is the most raw, brutal rape imaginable. On the other is the most pathetic, obligatory, sag-titted sex conceivable.

    Observe the bell-curved distribution.

Which side of that distribution is more likely to contribute to pregnancy?

So the higher instance of pregnancy in rape cases is quite plausible to understand.

    • on August 30, 2012 at 10:43 pm Gil

Would such rape be Super Alpha behaviour? One in which the highly aggressive man takes without asking but demanding? That which usually happens to be noble-minded women when going into some backwater country? Indeed a women is twice as more likely to conceive in rape than in sex therefore it can be presumed a great deal women in the distant past were not willing participants.

  28. on August 30, 2012 at 5:51 am Dbag

method used: in-person interviews. That explains the different numbers…

  29. on August 30, 2012 at 8:37 am jack

Regarding the “married/cohabitating/engaged” discrepancy, most likely the couple had sex before they got married/cohabitated/engaged, and the guy counts it, the girl doesn’t.

  30. on August 30, 2012 at 8:23 pm James

It looks like an awesome story of hamsteritis if the men and women are both talking about their present relationship, and there are no limits on age.

The truth is more mundane: it’s how people aged 15-19 lost their virginity, not necessarily to each other. Of the 3% of women and 2% of men who lost it in marriage/engagement/cohabitation, a third more women than men were married/etc to someone older than 19 and therefore outside the study. There’s no story here. Move along.

  31. on August 31, 2012 at 12:33 am stormy

This graph doesn’t support that at all. It basically just states that girls are more likely to lose their virginity to a boyfriend and guys are more likely to lose their virginity to someone they just met.

  32. on August 31, 2012 at 12:27 pm Doc

This discrepancy can be more easily be understood by understanding the simple fact – women lie. So, in order not to be perceived as a slut, she’ll say she’s “going steady” – men tell it like it is, unless they are a mangina… So those women also know it was a casual hookup – they just don’t want to be thought of as “the type of girl that would do that”.

Of course, acknowledging that women lie constantly when it comes to sex, is not politically correct so it’s a no-no… Doesn’t change the facts – just makes it something that isn’t talked about…
