Syllogism and Synthesis

Small dogs have been an accessory of the fashionable set for the last few years in NY and like all fashionistas, these owners tend to be vapid and self-absorbed. I dated a girl very briefly a couple of years ago that worked for a designer. She could barely take care of her dog she was so irresponsible. She had to be convinced to leave the dog at her mothers. My neighbor, an older gay gentleman, has owned two dogs in two years. He gave the first one up because it had health problems that he was not emotionally prepared to withstand. Those were his words!

haha, gays are funny.
i like dogs. i also like making fun of urbanite women who dote maternally over their precious little canine bundles as if they were fulfilling an emotional yearning for the children their barren desiccated wombs will likely never bear. ouch, i even hurt myself writing that.

That’s hilarious. I actually sort of prefer that to the my-pet-is-my-kid over the top kind of bonding people do.

Why is it that I always think you take perverse pleasure in stating this fact again and again?
Yes, women have a shorter shelf life than men.
Yes, some women wait too long/don’t find a man to love, and can’t have children.
Why is this something to poke fun at?
It seems sad and unfortunate to me that some women who want children aren’t able to.

I can’t speak for Roissy but I understand the satisfaction that comes with saying that sentence. To me it’s a big “fuck you” to a big lie.
It must be miserable to be a woman who too late realizes that she wants children. I wonder if she is angry that she was lied to all her life. Only losers have kids when they are young, she was told since she was twelve.
In my high school sex-ed class some years ago, a very hip, “with-it” teacher gloated that men peak sexually at 18, and women in their mid-thirties. She never said anything about a woman’s fertility peaking at 23-25, beginning to decline at 27, sharply at 35.

Roissy, Hallmark is missing out on a great writer for their new specialty cards titled, “let us help you kill yourself.” Awesome.
