OK, first of all, this wasn’t a vote to ban her. It was to limit her to 5 comments per post. My hope was that such a disciplinary action would motivate her to rein in her tsunami of consciousness blather and not use the comments section as a therapist’s couch.
The 5 comment limit also applies to SAM, who really should get together with Sara and make beautiful genital music with her. The demon spawn of such a conjugation would usher forth a new age child of such transcendent purity that he will be a light unto all the peoples of all the nations to beat their swords over their own heads.
But as it stands, the commenters have really come through for you Sara. Their love has spared you… for now. Let’s try to tighten it up going forward, k?

I gotta say Roissy, this is a first for you… you realize the slippery slope of censorship starts with something really well intentioned.
More importantly you will have shut down any serious debate. I was under the impression that this place encouraged debate.
5 posts is just not enough for real debate.
I’ll grant, that I have sometimes chosen to over post.
But 5 comments per thread when you have threads that have gone above 200, leaves us out of the conversation as it evolves.
As for the others who’s Schicks (שטיק) that clog your blog, that add nothing new Re: Peter’s obsession with pubes,
but because they are a single occurrence (that cause a bunch of off topic posts) per thread, they get a pass right?

Banning people is no good unless they are beyond the pale. Censorship is not a good path to follow for anything even remotely resembling a borderline case.
Sara is annoying but harmless. What we really need is an ignore function.

Why not limit them to a percentage of the comments received? Let’s say 5%, so if a thread goes to 200 comments, they’ll still have adequate time to respond.
On the other hand, it would help them focus, gather their thoughts and send one longer comment rather than a flurry of distracting one-liners.

Someone above was arguing that censorship and serious debate don’t mix well. Not a concern in your case.

I seek to contribute, learn, and challenge people. Unlike sara, I realized a big idea can happen anywhere any time, an earth changing idea.
She could acknowledge the truth that if you change yourself, you have changed the world. She failed to either see that one, or say it.
I think some males who come here, and see Roissy and his merry band of commenter, reenacting Paul Revere will snap and see that there is a sex war on. And that the extreme feminists tried to march on concord to take our guns. (metaphors are beautiful)

Many a truth is spoken in jest, and I am more jester than scholar though you would not believe how much I’ve studied and read on the subject of human behavior/life, etc. I am so out of the ballpark here, that I just come to enjoy myself.
