Shocker! Beautiful Woman Chooses Man Who Beats Her Silly

March 1, 2009 by CH

And once again the Chateau worldview is vindicated.

The pair have reunited almost three weeks after Brown, 19, allegedly battered the “Umbrella” singer on Feb. 8, a source tells PEOPLE.

“They’re together again. They care for each other,” says the source. The on-again couple are currently spending time together at one of Sean “Diddy” Combs’s homes, on Miami Beach’s Star Island.

Aww, how cute. Rihanna and Chris, the two lovebirds, back together again. POW! She just couldn’t stay away, that girl! WHACK! Sources close to the loving couple say they can’t keep their hands off each other. SLAP! I bet!

Is Rihanna going back to Chris in spite of, or because of, the beatings he gave her? Answer: both.

Consciously, she goes back in spite of. Subconsciously, she goes back because of.

And science is slowly discovering that women’s sexuality can effortlessly occupy both the conscious and subconscious planes simultaneously.

A hit across the face, because it is an unabashed demonstration of male power, will trigger stronger orgasms in many otherwise normal women. I have observed this phenomenon myself. Think of a slap as Viagra for women. Lubed up for a long evening of hot sex!

PS: If you disapprove of this behavior, the way to contain this Pandora’s Box of human nature is to shame the women for freely choosing abusive men. Shaming violent men for striking women will not work as well as long as women continue to reward these men with their loving hearts and open pussies.

while i don’t doubt its effectiveness in displaying dominance in a relationship, i’ve always thought a slap (or flurry) resembled the throwing of a tantrum- as if conceeding one’s feeble emotionality of a bitch- while merely resting a hand on her wrist or shoulder and saying “enough” was truly powerful (provided it is actually intimidating, and a slap in the early stages of a relationship may do that)

Any man who doubts the sexual power of physical violence should slap and/or choke his girlfriend the next time he’s fucking her. She’ll be dripping wet.

    Roissy,
It’s not the actual hitting that turns women on. It’s the high levels of testosterone, which turns any woman on in primate speak.

“And science is slowly discovering that women’s sexuality can effortlessly occupy both the conscious and subconscious planes simultaneously.”

“Slowly,” of course. As if that’s such an unexpected “discovery.” Another piece of common sense that emerges as fact as PC blank-slate-inspired “science” slowly gets broken down.

But as for the hitting topic, one of my ex’s used to frequently play a game where she’d grab my hand unexpectedly and try to get “me” to hit her face with it, and I’d have to resist (or presumably she’d be mad and stop laughing when I failed to). I was too much of an inexperienced, feminist-indoctrinated beta at the time to even critically analyze the interaction much (just figured it’s her insecurity, I have to prove my love by being nice, etc.), much less give her the black eye she wanted. Now reading Roissy’s tale of random-hit-leading-to-great-sex, I wish I could go back in time and give her what she desired and more.

The problem with hitting women (and I’m talking hard here, the way they want it, not a cutesy little bitch slap) is often not so much the legal consequences (especially if you aren’t married, of course), but that most upper-middle-class people just see it as white trash behavior, period. It’s just not a wise move in terms of potential loss of status within most desirable social circles, unless you’re confident your girl won’t tell all her friends, which I would never be with any woman.

Just occurred to me, a way for you to bring together your “analyzing Game in movies” and “chicks are turned on by physical expressions of dominance” themes … How about taking a look at “Street Smart.” Morgan Freeman (youngish) plays a scary and smart pimp who really knows how to run his girls. I saw it ages ago, so can’t be sure there are brilliant long scenes to rip apart. But it’s a great Iceberg Slim-y sort of performance anyway. And the pimp-ishness of the whole thing should satisfy everyone’s anti-PC appetities.

I just happened to be reading the memoirs of a man who was the captain of a battleship in the 1930s. He was not a low-class man. He was well-educated and eventually became an admiral. Here is what he said about handling the ship:

Like many good-looking ladies she is inclined to be willful, and likes surprising you. Watch her always and very closely. If the moment she gets up to mischief you give her a good hard thump with the engines and helm she will immediately behave like a perfect lady – like her sex in human form, she responds well to a heavy hand when she knows she has deserved it!

Sounds like they knew how to keep their women in check back then – but this important lore has since been largely forgotten.

My problem with this incident is that it was NOT,as per Roissy’s example of backhanding his girl, followed by hot sex, a typical “lovers spat.” This was a serious full-metal attack on this girl by an out of control Travis the chimp idiot. He brutally clobbered her—he bit her fingers, supposedly!–and left her laying on someones lawn. HE needs to do time! I dont think this comes under the category of “alpha male attracts hot broad.” This Rhianna chick is fucking weird. She has been pushed to be the big entertainer, prob supporting her lazy assed mother back in Barbados. (BTW have u seen her father??? he is some weird mix of black and white, you can see a whole lot of white in Rhianna..tho I strongly disagree with Roissy’s description of her as “beautiful”. The dad looks like some kinda broken down street dude) Sick.

Why should I shame women for liking these men when it’s obvious that they’re highly attracted to the qualities that these men bring to their relationships? It’s no different than shaming beta males for being sycophantic bitches towards women that view as Queens or for chasing big titted women that treat them like crap.

The best course of action is to help the women when they can no longer take living with their abusive boyfriends.

Is there an evolutionary advantage to choosing a guy like Chris Brown to father one’s children for women?

Yes. In that such children, particularly male, will be aggressive, dominant, and abusive, and as long as women choose these men and society rewards a purely physical fight with no weapons for spoils, well that’s a winner.

However … the alternate strategy of choosing a guy who has ambition and drive, but relatively low levels of aggression towards women (I’m thinking Andrew Jackson) offers greater payout (and of course, greater lose it all).

Women who seek guys like Jackson, or other hard-charging strivers, with tightly wound control, could quite possibly on average do far better than the “safe” choice of a Chris Brown.

I’m sure btw that Brown will be even more popular with women than he is now, women seem to respond to that sort of thing like gangbusters. Every single supermarket tabloid and magazine had Chris Brown and Rihanna on it, along with Octomom. Women love love love that stuff.

But I think Brown will be zero with guys. Not the least of which is that he goes over gangbusters with the ladies because he smacks his girlfriend around, a strategy that has no serious consequences to a celebrity Black rapper, but dire ones for every White guy, and probably some Black guys.

Most of them are lower middle class scions with college merit badges and dumb desk jobs who display virtue by imbecile SWPL gestures. But hey, if you want to surround yourself with bloodless invertebrates who think of themselves as being very clever because they really like to recycle, that’s your affair. I’d rather hang with an immigrant or working class entrepreneur than some clown who has an NPR chip implanted in his noodle. I’m not saying you should beat your wife; I’m just saying the last thing any member of the human race should care about is what some insecure clown in the upper middle classes thinks about anything.

Also, Whiskey, I’d bet money Jackson beat his wife. Andrew Jackson was an insanely violent man, gawd blessim.

Yes, and since then that particular group has done a lot less useful work and committed a lot more crimes than they used to under the old system, so there is something to be said for returning to the old system of penalties and rewards for them as well as for women.

Clearly, anything that was socially accepted hundreds or thousands of years ago should remain that way forever.

Change does not automatically equal progress. It is the height of arrogance to assume that the way we have done things for the past few decades is inherently superior to the way they were done for preceding millennia. Do we live in a better country now than we did in 1959, when both negroes and women knew their place? In many ways, no – and that is even true for negroes and women.

How do you know that it’s female sexuality and not just plain old sexuality?

So,why just concentrating on women, how do you know men don’t like a good punch every now and then too? Oh, wait they do.
I mean there is that whole DS sex culture and there are plenty of men that love to get hit and choked.
You seem to see three types: women, betas and alphas. I think it’s just people. Maybe some people like it more then others but you aren’t even trying to figure out if they do or not,
Really what sort of benefit does anyone have by revealing that they crave abuse? I bet you like a good slap too, you just wouldn’t dare write about it.

You do however respond to negative posts about you….with a lot of thought….you don’t …nah.

Your thesis regarding men secretly wanting to be slapped is one that fortunately can be tested quickly and easily in the real world. If it is just a slap it is unlikely to be prosecuted as assault; the main form of risk will be from a simpler form of justice. So, try it a few times, in almost any setting you can create, and I bet that you will quickly obtain get the data you so obviously need.

They certainly did. People (whites, natives american, asians, visitors, even niggers themselves) were able to walk down the street, go about their business and feel safe in their homes without worrying about vicious and widespread negro crime like we have today. Some additional data here:

    Chuck–

“The interesting part of this saga will be to see what happens if charges are filed against Brown. We’ll see if Rihanna decides to lie for her man or tell the truth. I’m wondering if she’s thought that far ahead.”

The only reason charges HAVEN’T yet been filed in a jurisdiction like LA is that 1) Rhianna certainly hasn’t urged them to, and probably refused to say he did it, or is now retracting her story and refusing to testify; and/or 2) Brown’s PR people are using pull to have them not or more likely to get them to delay, and Rhianna’s are going along.

So yes if they brought charges they are afraid she’d lie. Which she probably will.

Part of the reason for that is entirely what Roissy says it is particularly in Rhianna’s world, or more accurately the conscious brain pressures in her sub culture aren’t as severe as they would be among e.g. a Jewish female high end attorney, but it’s also that the legal and social consequences are so disproportionate. That’s entirely the work of feminists and their beta boy lefty suckups, like Biden, who sponser the federal domestic violence guilty until proven guilty male oppression act. Actual the social shaming that the media do around it, far more effective in the upper half or above of the white world socioeconomic status wise than elsewhere, is the biggest effect.

Any ceo or top exec of a big US corp would have to resign if convicted of “wife beating” i.e. slapping her.

Yes that’s absurd. It’s also what they’ve managed to do to us, cause among other things we haven’t been organized or had even one lobby.

BTW, I realize that most wives of CEO’s or other highly placed men in the white world WON’T press or continue to press charges for these kinds of reasons — unless they are on the verge of a divorce or this was the last straw. Yes part of that is for Roissy reasons but part is also because if they’re still in it, they hadly want the horrific consequences for something that in a calmer moment they will realise, even if it infuriated them rather than turning them on (or also turning them on), isn’t remotely that serious.

Unlike all the massive feminist lies about all this.

Sure the serial true wife beaters ARE really bad news. The one’s that go for real injury in their blind rage or don’t care or are just heedless (often because seriously drunk).

But since the eighties feminists have been working overtime to convince us that (“they always get worse”): one slap not severely punished by the legal system leads to one black eye and busted lip and then a broken nose and then a broken arm and then GOD KNOWS WHAT. Which is in fact quite rare. Esp. among the top half or quarter income wise. Among the non dregs.

Make no mistake, a large part of why feminists when on such a campaign about this was NOT to shield the women mostly with men way down on the socioeconomic scale who really might do them serious injury. Oh no. It was yet another way to try to reduce men’s power. And yes, the ability of men in general, but perhaps especially beta providers or borderline higher beta (or lower alpha) men’s ability to intimidate them into not having or continuing affairs, and so on.

    You heard it hear first.”

God bless you sir. I needed that good laugh!

BTW———To be fair, we dont know why Brown did it, or how intense it really was. Maybe he caught HER cheating, etc. Maybe she got in his face and really physically challenged him over whatever, and he delivered a left-right combination that done all the damage in two quick, temper-losing-punches. Frankly, if a strong iron-pumping musclebound guy hit Rhianna’s pretty-fine-boned face with two blows full force, she’d probably have a severely broken jaw in multiple places and would be missing some teeth.

As Whiskey has pointed out, women really have no idea how violent men can be and how destructive they can be when truly mad (and not fearing penal consequences). If any of you have seen a parking-lot fight where no bouncers or law enforcement are around (I have, more than once), you know just how primal these events can be. Its more like dog-fighting. It can be ferocious.

One commenter in this thread has pointed out something Ive thought privately for years; other than the obvious use of getting more in divorce settlements and a leg up in custody cases, domestic violence laws were primarily pursued by WYMYNISTS as a means of weakening a man’s position in a marriage. In the “old days”, if a woman cheated on her husband and got caught, she could pretty much expect an asswhipping and truly feared it. Not these days. A guy can be put in jail and socio-professionally damaged (or damn near ruined depending on what he does for a living) for doing so. Then there is the bail, legal fees, court costs, and social embarrassment due to the endless-advertising campaigns. Im not “pro-beating” or anything, but I will say that a woman cheating on her husband is playing with fire, given a man’s natural response to that situation (which is to kick somethin’s ass—–even if its punching a hole in the drywall).

Brown’s particular employment allows him some slack amongst his fans as Whiskey has pointed out. A Asian/White accountant for instance, would probably be getting in the back of a police car after the phone call or the E-room visit (doctors can and will notify the police, and the police HAVE to make an arrest in many juristictions for domestic calls).

The comments in this thread have been really enjoyable.

PS………………………Roissy’s haters immediately thought of this blog as soon as the news of Chris Brown’s/Rhianna’s reconciliation came across the wire. I can almost hear the thoughts of that lefty-guy from the previous Brown post: “Goddammit, that know-it-all-Roissy heard this and laughed at me”. Yup, he probably did.

Chic — Otis Redding and Marvin Gaye were RB singers. Chris Brown is … not them.

Lupo – There is plenty of evidence that Andrew Jackson, violent and dangerous as he was, never laid a finger on his wife and indeed emotionally depended on her a great deal. He considered resigning after she died, not willing to bear Washington alone. By all accounts Rachel Jackson had Andrew’s total devotion.

Women that get turned on by hitting are not worth having anything to do with.

There won’t be any charges filed against Brown. He’s Black, wealthy, and a celebrity. That’s how it works. Anything else would be “racism.” Tabloids are reporting that BRown is claiming “self defense” because Rhianna “hit him” or something. You can see the tabloids (all female oriented) shifting to take his side. Predictable. Alphas and particularly Black Rappers can get away with anything. Look at Snoop Dogg.

Yup we owe a lot of it to the white balless men. the same generation that will be left to die because the cost to treat them medically will be considered impractical as they have nothing left to offer. They can’t be as good of slaves anymore and they didn’t have many kids to give a shit one way or the other whether they live or die. Of course the old woman who had there abortions and tortured souls will also be carted off to the same pasture. The younger generation will probably come up with a nice pc way of spinning it so it has the same logical sence as throwing someone in jail who cannot pay child support because they lost their job or are not making as much money as they should make. yea that never hapens to free people either. Might even help me confirm that there is no god if that happens and that life really is a waste of time to see my parents brought out to the field. Kind of liberating probably since it will be like wow I really can do anything with no moral concern because there are no morals and it doesn’t matter. There would be no God at the end to ask me any questions just some pathetic system in this life. Well who wouldn’t do what the fuck they wanted.

He considered resigning after she died, not willing to bear Washington alone. By all accounts Rachel Jackson had Andrew’s total devotion.”

I don’t know about you, but like you I’m not a pup, and I’ve had LTR’s and live in LTR’s with a good number of women. They are hugely different, even though there’s hardly been randomness in who I’ve seduced/invited in.

Some women calm the most violent man with their devotion. Others intentionally challenge him at the most emotionally volatile level whenever they see a hit of weakness, almost, or actually (Roissy says) wanting him to explode on her. This has always been so but unrestrained feminism esp. in America has vastly encouraged women to act this way, while vastly decreasing the risks to doing so, at least among men with a lot to loose in the white world, by the means we’ve discussed.

I remember a short conversation I had with a rad feminist for the time leader at some large group leftist indoor rally/meeting at Stanford, I think it was SDS or some offshoot. She was trying to convince me to support something or other that I was reluctant to. I wish I could remember that specific.

Anyway, I said more or less: “look, I’m in favor of male female equality or sameness in employment and work, and all that, and of course birth control and abortion rights and all that, but I’m not into these politics getting into the bedroom. This is edging there I’m afraid. Into the personal. Into relationships. Because I know what turns me on the most and what turns my girl friends on the most and that’s a man being strong and forceful.”

Oh no she replied, not at all. The personal is all about individual choice. That’s not political at all.”

Then a decade later, “the personal IS political”.

    This is a true story.

Yeah sure Patrick. You might get kneed in the nuts too. It’s unfortunate that there are #1 many women who are fucked up to the point they would allow this and #2 many men who are fucked up enough to do it and #3 Patrick Batemans running around loose.

Speaking of fucked, Rihanna is completely fucked as the message she’s sending Chris Brown the message that he can pummel her face with his fists and then still pummel her face with his crotch when he feels like it. He will never, ever respect her and she is not what he needs in any way, shape, or form. She will make him MORE violent and he’s already (so he says) fucked up about being so fucked up.

This is nothing but two people who are sexually addicted to each other and drama in general. Just another stupid top 40 song in the making. Roissy, why do you waste your *cough* talents on this stupid shit?

So while this does technically turn her on, a man should not do it. There are other ways to turn her on.

What will really help make it equal though is probably technology when lie detector tests catch every female and male lie and a woman can’t say she was sexually harrassed after sleeping with a guy multiple times just because he wanted to stop. also can’t falsely accuse of rape when it suits them. Yea that will definetly equal this shit out. When a woman can’t lie about not knowing she pulled the trigger or cry and get out of punishment meted out by government of course (not the husband). When the politician can be checked on whether he/she took bribe money to do things. When you can ask politician if they are committing treason against their own country intentionally for monetary gain. Should clean up politics pretty quick. Ask them once a month to weed them out. Will help innocent people accused of child abuse and catch the ones who do. You could just ask all people once a year have you killed/raped/molested/stolen in the past year and ask woman if they yell at their husband more than once a month. You can ask woman and men why they are getting a divorce and if it is a stupid reason you can cart their ass off to the gulag. Wouldn’t the world be grand. Coming soon to theatre near you.

FWIW, and I always do this when shopping, most instructive, the tabloids and celeb magazines were filled with Jen Aniston and Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (their women readership eats that stuff up), Octomom, and of course Rhianna and Chris Brown.

I think it was OK! Magazine running with Chris Brown’s story that he was attacked. Women love that stuff …

But guys are going to turn on Brown something fierce. He’s going to be hated. Because HE can play that card, being a wealthy, powerful, Black Rapper or RB’er or whatever. [His music sucks and it speaks to the cultural decline of Black Music that in two generation we go from Marvin Gaye and Otis Redding … to Chris Brown. ]

Normal guys just can’t play that. While guys like Chris Brown can. He’s likely to be roundly hated by guys, the way Orlando Bloom, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Justin Timberlake are, only times 100.

It will get you nowhere.

A few years back, at some salsa night (an event full of white beta males and ethnic alpha’s/non-white players, btw), I had a similar experience. A pretty hot girl who wanted to dance with me and started complaining about her boyfriend. So, I drunk my coke, got up while she was still talking to me, asked her if she wanted to dance some more, because, if not, I’d find me a girl who did.

Later that evening, back home, I vowed to never visit any salsa event in my life. I was sick of the collection of single losers who lust for people who will never want them.

L Ing, when a man goes to a dominatrix, he’s entering into a negotiated consensual situation. The Dominant (male or female) doesn’t determine, indicate, or alter their social hierarchy. In fact, a great many who are dominant and higher ranking in the rest of their lives, bottom as a sort of vacation from over-the-top responsibilities, or just enjoy a level of roughness most people couldn’t tolerate.

Abuse is something else. There are men who go back to abusive partners, and they’re shamed with exponentially greater frequency than women are shamed for doing the same, in this blog.

I think Chris Brown and Rihanna are anomalous, because you don’t see stories about super-desirable alpha females getting the fuck beat out of them and going back to their man very often. If this was a normal thing, like cheating or making homemade sex videos, it would be in the tabloids every few months. But the only other example of this I can even think of is Tina Turner, who eventually ended up trashing her alpha and destroying his reputation (note that both Rihanna and Tina Turner are black – not a coincidence).

If this is the norm, where are all the starlets with rearranged faces? It would be difficult to hide something like this from the tabloids, so I think we would know about it if it were happening a lot. If it’s just the occasional black R&B singer who wants a man like Chris Brown, we should chalk it up to personal anomalies, or that it’s one of those black things we whities don’t understand – not generalize it to all alpha females.

Speaking of black things, here’s a bunch of famous black woman-beaters – but most of them have not done it to famous women:

    @anon-C,

As I understand, you are surmising that physical assault is more tolerated in Blacks than whites, and I agree. Black women more readily condone hitting their children, and quoting the Bible , “spare the rod , to do so. I speculate that Rhianna’s parents assaulted her , that she’s hit Brown, and they’ll hit any babies they make. In that context, this whole episode is more comprehensible.

This is the line that I disagree with: If we start judging her or blaming her for being a bad role model, the sisterhood has failed her, not the other way around. Got it?

NO, I don’t get it. She’s an adult responsible for her own choices. She makes a decision that will result in outcomes ranging from her own death to her stronger position within the union. We have every perogative to judge her.

Does he or doesn’t he describe it? You’re ‘suspecting’ what his version includes – which means he hasn’t described it – and yet you says that what describes doesn’t ‘remotely resemble what others would define’.

You can’t have it both ways. Either he’s defined it in the past – in which case you don’t have to suspect anything – or he hasn’t defined it – in which case you have no idea whether or not it remotely resembles what others would define.

Incidentally, he’s advocated responding to flirtations with other men by acting like he doesn’t care. Does that sound controlling to you?

Rihanna was applying makeup to her right eye, which I noticed looked puffy and discolored. Her friend said, ‘You’re eye looks [EXPLETIVE] up! He’s an [EXPLETIVE]! Why do you put up with him and let him hit you?’
“Rihanna told her, ‘It’s not his fault. When he hurts me, he’s a beast, but then he turns into my angel … He’ll hit me and then feel bad afterwards, but then he turns into the sweetest man and becomes my angel. What happened to you? I used to read you a lot, months ago, when you wrote stuff about how to be an assertive guy without having to be a shitty person.

You claim it’s okay to crush some girl’s soul on the apparently huge chance that she’s ‘beneath’ you on a lot of your posts. That’s not about being alpha, that’s just assholish. Despite what you say and so many men seem to sycophantically agree with, being an asshole and being an alpha are not the same thing. It just looks that way b/c the general way that you are treated by girls tends to look the same to an outsider.

Women love alpha males and we don’t hate ourseleves for loving them. But when we love alpha males, we hate ourseleves for loving them. After a while, you end up with the same soulless woman you complain about throughout your blog.

Domestic abuse is not a joke. I wouldn’t place it in the same category as ‘play’. You are right to take a stance for men’s right in a relationship because there are so few advocates for equal responsibility and benefit, anywhere. BUT this is a little too far — there is no excuse for beating anyone, male or female.

Rihanna should definitely leave him but her victimization is a result of (a) her resistance to walking out and (b) his abusiveness. It is her responsibility to walk out but it is Brown’s responsibility and duty, as the person who has more power in this relationship, to stop beating her. Brown is 19, he can still learn from this and maybe educate others in the future. If that happens, then good for him. But at this point, he might have ruined his career unless the world wants another girl-beater singing about drugs (it happens).

Even if you’re making fun of Rihanna for not being able to leave a potentially fatal situation, it doesn’t prove your usual arguement that women stay with aggressive men; alpha != alpha. Abusiveness is inherently very ‘not alpha’: abusers have absolutley no control over themselves, even if they have very good control over somebody else who is obviously very weak.

Your post could have been about how guys could stop being stupid and start being better people. You fell short of your potential to positively inform your huge male audience; it’s really too bad because they do listen to you.

    Paper
I recently read a book about the writer Hunter S. Thompson called “Gonzo”. By all accounts, Thompson was something of a bully who tended to keep people around him on edge. He kept loaded guns nearby at all times. He occasionally fired these guns off into the night sky for no apparent reason. Many of his girlfriends wore black eyes.
None of this was in dispute. In other parts of the book, a successful, beautiful female TV producer was trying to explain why an endless series of similar type women fell in love with him. She tried to say that it was because of the lost little boy that all women saw deep inside. Or that he was a good listener.
As far as I can tell, the dis-connect between the sexual brain and the awake brain of the human female is simply absolute.

I don’t know, PA. I see the difference between being pragmatic, and being caring. Or, do I? The TV show House has that as the theme. Day after day.

Is the asshole more, or less, moral than the caring people?

House lost an intern who didn’t want to be like him. Foreman knew house could teach him to save more lives, but on moral principle, left House.

    It’s an interesting question.

Rum – I concur. The fact that women are more likely the Listener type is the reason why PU and game can be so effective. Use wisely 😉

Explat – In one way, I see your arguement because even being caring has its selfish purposes. The problem is that House is a doctor; he is doing his job to help other people. How he gets there really is less important than how it ends. In Roissy’s case, how he gets there is almost equally or more important than how it ends. So in that way, it’s not a level comparison.
I’m not saying people should think that it’s simple to be either evil or good. But you know, maybe you should try it out and not stop just b/c you ‘get tired’. Nobody is that old.

Yeah, that was pretty much it. Except I am for responsible seduction. It helps you and it helps the woman; what’s not to like? At some point, you might want something ‘real’…or not. That is the point where Roissy’s teachings and fantasy unfortunately have come to meet.

But really, you hate marriage because you would have to buy tampons? I hope you never have to settle for less because you write like a well adjusted guy. At the same time, there is a give and take to any relation you have with someone (your friends/ mom/ dad/ siblings/ etc). A good life might look less picturesque than mundane at times, especially if you’re just the average person in DC.

I think buying tampons is a reality that somebody has to do, whether it’s you, her, or somebody else. It would be best if it was one of the little things husbands don’t mind doing for a wife who appreciates it and reciprocates equivolently (only marry her if she appreciates/ reciprocates).

No; the woman is looking for her kind of love in the wrong places and probably doing the wrong things herself.

Paper, when I said that a woman can bait and switch love and sex for purchasing tampons, I was using a humorous writing tactic, of alternating between meta and specific ideas. Big and small picture ideas. It can be funny to compare the idea that husbands and wives should respect their community with throwing out bottles of piss in the trash, that the trash man might get on his shoes. Or maybe that can’t be funny. Point was supposed to be that purchasing tampons was a metaphor for being taken for granted in a joyless life of zombie slavery.

As a spiritual counselor, I solved one woman’s volunteer victim problem just by showing her how selfish she was by keeping people in a moral bubble on purpose. People need to take personal responsibility for their lives period. One person doesn’t need it more than the other. Everybody needs it.

K — I respect your authority and experience in counseling people but the idea that they both “just need a reality check” seems too simplistic for me. Maybe I am playing at semantics and we actually agree but:
I definitely do also think we are all responsible for our behaviours. That said, I think that you have to take into consideration that the abuser may eventually kill the abused person. In that way, even if it is the abused person’ fault for staying, the way that you perceive the two people should be different. To help the abused person (“helping” as in supporting) should be done differently than to help the abuser (“helping” as in educating). You’re trying to make both of these people stronger, but in different ways because they are both weak in different ways. They do both need help but the abuser is someone who needs a very harsh kind fo help because s/he may be a threat to society if s/he does not change. The victim unchanged is less commonly a threat to everyone than a threat to him/herself and a worry to people who care about him/her.

Rum — I think you read me too literally actually 🙂
I was referring to female sexual interest haha
The options I gave were (separate) reasons why a female would be interested. I feel kind of bad that drunk women think only “that you will do.” What I was saying in my last comment was that instead of getting that idea from drunk women, maybe if you lshould isten to Roissy (when he was a few months younger). you’d score a hot girl sober who craves you, without even having to try that hard.

Paper, this might come as a shock to you, but there are very very few women being abused who are not also abusers themselves. Most of the time, they are at the very least emotional abusers or neglecters (which is as bad as physical abuse). The vast majority are also physically abusive towards their children and/or pets if they have any.

I believe that there is a difference between corporal punishment or physical discipline, and abuse. A grown person, male or female, shouldn’t need that without explicit consent, but there’s a big difference between what should be and what is. So long as women are socialized to be childish, they will behave like children, and the social consequence will be a twisted family situation wherein the wife is not functioning as she should, and has to have rules enforced with at least the threat of violence. If she knows no motivator but violence, then this is what it will take to motivate her.

In my opinion, people who see the abuser/victim dynamic as occuring in some kind of a social vacuum are the ones who are overly simplistic. This is, in fact, one of my many beefs with feminism. The truth in this doesn’t matter when they’re automatically taking the woman’s side with no regard for the fact that she is indeed an adult. If she were raised to be a responsible adult rather than a well behaved child, she would be quite repellant to anyone looking for a victim in the first place.

It does nothing to empower women to view them as default victims when things like this occur. Though it happens less frequently, men are physically abused by women too. Abuse is a people issue, not just a female one, and occurs for the same reasons across genders.

The volunteer victim is getting their ego validated by being perceived as morally superior to their abuser. They use this to cover their own failings including their own abusive behavior. Stop treating them as if they are morally superior, and that’s at least half of their incentive to stay volunteer victims gone.

Without the perceived moral superiority, they’re forced to view the situation for what it is, which is a twisted sort of D/s (Dom/sub) relationship. If they don’t want to stay in it, they should leave, and if they bring children into it, it’s the same as incest.

Focus on the abuser as the one with the bigger problem is not going to help the situation. Both of them are just as wrong: the one who beats, and the one who stays despite or because of the beatings.

K — I did not represent abuse as a female problem, hence the word abused/ abuser as opposed to he/ she.

I am not talking about “discipline” when I mean abuse. Physical abuse is a form of domestic violence in the circumstance we are discussing. I do not advocate for people who are abusers themselves (of kids/ animals/ etc) and who simply happen to be abuse victims as well.

Empowering women does certainly mean recognizing their resonsibility in a situation they can choose to leave or remain in. However, the distinction I am making i one where the abuser’s actions are inherently evil, whereas the actions of the abused person (inabaility to leave) are not.

We are supposed to help the abuse victim to leave this situtaion. That doesn’t mean we say they are “helpless” but that they emotionally fragile and need strict support.
Are we supposed to help the abuser? Yes. But we do also take punitive measures because what they did hurts other people, not just themselves.
