The attacks come despite the execution of Zheng Minsheng, 42, a former community doctor who stabbed eight children to death and wounded five others at an elementary school in eastern China on March 23.
Zheng, executed by a firing squad in Nanping City late last month, told investigators he carried out the attack because he was frustrated by “failures in his romantic life and in society,” according to Xinhua.
China Daily newspaper quoted Nanjing University sociology professor Zhu Li as saying Zheng’s attack inspired copycats.
There’s been some discussion on this blog lately about sex ratios and male violence. The theory holds that when the sexual market is skewed in favor of women (more men than women), men will be better behaved (i.e. “dads”) because women will be able to demand that of them. Another side argues that once a tipping point of excess males is reached, violence erupts when all those bachelor males not getting any realize the hopelessness of their situation. In China, at least, it looks as if their 35 million excess males are starting to act up, and the Chinese government doesn’t know what to do about it, except beef up security at schools.

The usual caveats about correlation and causation, but it bears noting that savvy investors ought to keep a wary eye on China’s supposed unstoppable growth machine — a lot of funny stuff can happen when huge armies of dispossessed men are tossed to the icy wastelands of involuntary celibacy.
This is why the government needs to invest in a “Manhatten-project” to invent a realistic robosex sex doll. And then distribute it to all the impovrished males for free.

Apologies for the off topic comment – but if anyone wants to see a masterclass in contrasting alpha/beta body language, performed by two first rate actors, do go and see Iron Man 2. The film itself is disappointing, frankly, but the two leads are excellent – particularly Sam Rockwell as a beta male promoted well above his natural comfort zone. His character is exactly the opposite of Tony Stark. He stands with his thumbs hooked inwards into his waistcoat. He smiles, ingratiatingly, when he’s trying to argue a point. Within moments of Hammer coming on screen, the audience know instinctively that they are watching a loser. Nine tenth of that is body language. The script is mediocre, but Rockwell is in total physical control of his character, getting under the skin of a natural beta male whose body constantly, involuntarily, betrays his sense of his own low status. Watch, study, and avoid.

I believe it was Warren Buffet who recently pointed out that internet porn would soon start stifling creativity and innovation in our economy. This is one of the principle reasons cultural Marxists encourage homosexuality. It’s not the case in China, but that is the case here in the West. In China, you have the unfortunate intersection of traditional culture and the desire to slow down population growth. I’m convinced this is why so many men in the Arab world are driven to violence as well. It certainly puts an edge on things. This is also one of the main reasons serfdom was more productive than the Latifundia system of slaves working estates, because the men could marry and raise a family and this spurred their productivity. Something I can add to this analysis from living in China:
Children are like Jesus, Santa Clause, the meaning of life, science and the environment in China. They are on every TV commercial pushing product. The good life = harmonious and subdued grandparents and parents lovingly focused on a single precocious child who provides constant comedic verve. This is constantly hammered in on TV and billboards.
Choosing to do your suicide amok run at an elementary school is a symptom of value inversion. They’re attacking the highest value of the social order. Not even the Communist party and Chinese national greatness gets as much play. (The idea of becoming a big shot at work is really only on liquor commercials. Maybe girls wanting to be pretty comes close in terms of airtime.)
I don’t think most westerners who read about these stories understand the why. In the US people go postal at their jobs. Because in the US it’s the American dream, the corporate ladder to the next class rung, the happy retirement, that’s the highest social value. But in China, if your life is hell and you’ve lost faith in what passes for God there, you go stab up a school.

With the single-child policy, parents tend to treat their children’s lives as above and beyond their own. Not to mention, one child’s death could easily ruin two parents’ lives. If this is his true motive, Mr. Zhang would turn out to be a benefactor instead of a victim of the single-child policy.

Yes, and this raises a further possibility, that other people’s children may inadvertently cause him hurt by reminding him of the absence of kids in his own life.
I still think he acted as he did because the children in some way (not necessarily through their fault) caused him pain. I don’t really think he did it to get at the parents either. His actions seem to me to be like somebody in pain, trying to remove the source of the pain or to communicate or express it in some way, rather than revengeful, jealous or malicious.
I’m not quite so sure I could be such a bleeding heart though if they were my kids in that school.

The imbalanced sex ratio played a role here, but not as straightforward as the post suggests. If the guy is only 25, Pupu would have agreed. But he is 42. The single-child policy started in 1978. The sex ratio in the dating market would have been fairly balanced for his age range.

This is very true. The Greeks loved to fight. Every spring when the wisteria went into bloom, it was time to go fight a war somewhere. That is why I think the Feminists are deeply afraid of us ultimately and know they will fail. Younger and weaker men are the true victims of the imbalance because they are competing with both their peers and older but more successful men for 20 something women. The single child policy has reduced the size of their target set; and the booming economy has made older men more competitive.

The root reason why is the one child policy combined with sons being the traditional source of support for parents in old age. A daughter’s duty is to her husband’s family, ancestors and elders.

China’s recent military buildup led me to conclude two years ago that the region of SE Asia is not politically stable. China will be over here in a resource war, sooner or later. From what I know of invasions, even the coconut groves aren’t a completely safe place to hide out – at least not for a whitey.
When the wars come, where to you keep your money?
My plan is to buy real estate in various countries, but who knows if that plan can come to maturity in time.
Here are parts of my plan so far:
* remote farm with airstrip, small plane, palm trees for biodiesel, satlink internet
* condos rented out in cities in several countries
* liquid assets spread out in various currencies and banks and countries
* bulk of assets spread out in the hardest forms of currency – small buses, cows, goods with easy liquidation that don’t depreciate and earn better returns than stocks
I fully expect the Chinese to get serious within twenty years. India may be able to be a player. Singapore currently has a better millitary than all of Indonesia and Malaysia combined right now. If Japan and China unite? Ha ha ha ha. It won’t be only South America and Africa that will fall. The US would be conquered.

You should also consider buying a boat capable of crossing an ocean by the people who live in your household. Every country in the world except for Liechtenstein and Uzbekistan is within 1 border of an ocean, and it is a great way to get into a country without border hassles (especially if you anchor offshore and have a small craft you can shuttle back and forth with).

Oddly enough, one of the MRA’s suggested that a world with 60% women and 40% men would make everyone happy.

I would not expect the nuclear powers to Nuke China over invading the Philippines, Vietnam, or Indonesia. Maybe they’d even let them take New Zealand. I would not expect the nukes to be unleashed when the armada lands in S. America.
I can’t see far enough into the future to imagine a direct US/China confrontation, but I can clearly see Chinese military expansion.

xplat, I believe the USA has an agreement in place to protect Taiwan, whether formal or informal.
During the Cold War, Taiwan was considered one of the front lines. Also, in my discussion with some militant right-wing Reagan-worshiping Americans (who are still fighting the Cold War), they think America should sacrifice everything to come to the defense of Taiwan. It’s an ego thing with them.

The Alpha of State is the de facto goal of so-called “feminism”, expressing an African atavism in female sociobiology. It is the primary failure mode of civilizations that don’t directly recognize the conflict with human nature inherent in asexual dependency and specialization. There have been a few times in history when homosexuality was openly promoted with state enforcement of of fertility between the sexes but the US, despite its promotion of homosexuality, has not yet come to terms with what this means because it is multiracial—which means there are some races and ethnies making out like bandits under cover of the terminal confusion—so they don’t want open and honest recognition of the need for state intervention in reproduction. The pathogen theory of homosexuality is consistent with “sexual pollution”, although causal structures are notoriously difficult to tease out. It may even be the case that such pathogens are an intermediate phenotype, if you will, of the group organism with the group organisms’s “genotype” really being memetic rather than genetic. Certainly Cochrane and Harpending’s book “The 10,000 Year Explosion” would tend to indicate that some sort of cultural dynamic involving cities is driving biological aspects of human ecologies. I don’t think Cochrane has hypothesized a pathogenic cause for lesbianism and it would be difficult to justify in any case given the low rate of STDs among lesbians. The civilizing function of sexual perversion is simply to reduce the power of sex in people’s identity to a mere “preference”—like a taste in food or music—because it is sex in its primordial animal form that most threatens to over power the bond between the individual and the asexual group organism.
As for selecting genes susceptible to homosexuality out of the gene pool—remember that cities are historically population sinks—they consume population. They can be evolutionarily stable because they are founded on agriculture with its higher rural reproduction rates. Some groups—particularly specialized for urban living—may enjoy high rates of reproduction in the cities but they are going to have to be in some kind of ratio with rural populations to maintain the homeostasis of the city-as-organism. It is when technology unleashes the urban elites from homeostatic controls that we have evolutionary instability as we see in the erocidal depopulation of the West.
Again the case of the Spartans is particularly instructive since what they did was form a highly effective group organism that avoided interbreeding with the rural race on which they parasitically fed. This meant that to maintain their population they had to mitigate the fertility reducing sexual pollution of homosexuality by imposing fertility enhancing memes on the ruling race. The sexually perverse love of the group organism was compensated for by the group organism returning to them a self-sustaining rate of reproduction. This was Lycurgus’s genius.

All it takes to get the beta engineers away from their video games and Fox news propaganda is throwing women at them. Like all mideastern religions, Islam is morally nimble enough to pull off all kinds of magic in this regard. Its hard for me to second guess how they would pick up this incredibly valuable discarded resource, but it is almost inconceivable to me that the imams would fail to do so, it is such a low-hanging fruit for them. They don’t have the handicap that Jews or their subcon allies suffer in this regard: niche competition. Jews and subcons have to convince themselves that the reason they are displacing Euroman in technology is because Euroman is inferior. To any objective observer, that is obviously not true and the imams don’t have a dog in this fight.
It is certainly true that the Euromen enslaved to Islam would be far less effective than they would be under a different system (like collecting all economic rents and distributing them evenly to all citizens with strict border controls). But the current regime enslaving Euroman is so pathological that you don’t need much freedom to get profound returns on the resources you invest in them.
What I mean by China “interceding” is that, for example, the California government is now in active negotiations with the Chinese to construct a high speed passenger rail system in California, and you can bet the labor will not be provided by unemployed Americans. This sort of expansion of the “overseas Chinese” role will appear to be a potential competition with Islam for a while. The problem is, as can already be seen in recent social dynamics in China, the high male to female ratio is resulting in “empowered women”—and the Chinese don’t have the cultural resources to deal with this unless they quickly do an about face and start preferentially aborting male fetuses. Moreover, they are increasing their interactions with both Jews and India to the point that I expect it won’t be long before the combination of “empowered women” and invasion of parasitic cultures will undo them.

Errr…no.
Among male Spartan citizens homosexuality was compulsory. At the age of 12 a Spartan boy was assigned an older (between 21 and 30) protector who would teach and look after the boy and have sexual relations with him.
Naturally, as these men grew up they knew nothing about women and had huge difficulty relating to women. Spartan law tried to compensate for this by shaming these men into marriage…almost making it compulsory.
It didn’t work though. The population of Spartan citizens steadily dropped, from around 10,000 in 480 BC to around 1000 in 371 BC. At the battle of Leuctra against the City of Thebes, the Spartan army was devastated and they lost just under 500 citizens – around half the population.
After this their vast population of Helots (i.e. slaves) revolted. Sparta was later to become a theme park for Roman sadists.
Sparta was a fucked up society, with a fucked up social structure. Sparta eventually bred itself into the ground. This was largely to do with its fucked up sexual mores that meant that boys and girls just didn’t get it on.
If you’re looking for your ideal society, look elsewhere.
