Most of them will have to settle for getting pumped and dumped, sans engagement ring, in the beemer’s back seat. But these are not normal times in the middle kingdom. For one, their sexual market is all kinds of dysfunctional; armies of single men prowl for whatever scraps of single women they can sniff out. With a ratio that bad, it’s no wonder men have to advertise flat ownership (15 square feet!) before some chinese version of a dumpy jelly splingerette casting call reject deems him worthy of a peck on the cheek. We’ve come a long way since foot binding, baby.
The Chinese, being the massively Special K-selected race that they are, are likely the world’s preeminent, badassiest provider betas. This is the land of niceguy hugs, excruciatingly long courtships, the zippered non-fling, and video game substituting for… well, for just about everything. You drop your typical soybrained China dude in America and he is gonna get chewed up and wetly expectorated by our badboy loving women, house or no house. Which system is better? Tough call. Personally, as a fan of love and being human, I’d wither in an environment where chicks were so calculatingly miss roboto about dating and all that slimy emotional stuff that lubes the whole process. The Sino-sordid spectacle reminds me of stuff I read from somewhere about how the English evolved mucho smarts and were able to kickstart the industrial revolution, and eventually, America. Turns out they practiced good old fashioned eugenics, the way nature intended — all the smarties and upper classmen had way more kids than the poor and smelly, who were left to die in the streets very uncompassionately, and after many generations of that, a new people was born. (Any current reversal of the process is a figment of your imagination. Ow, my balls!) But you religious bleeding hearts can sleep easy; God watched over the unfolding dirty Darwinian events with an eye toward a future kinder, gentler humanity, so you know it had His heavenly stamp of approval. Back to the point: I see the same thing happening now in China.
I’d say Chinese men need an infusion of game, stat, but they’re probably constitutionally incapable of understanding the concepts, let alone applying them. These Chinese chicks may be megamaterialistic, but I’m nigh certain that you drop a nuclear neg on a moonfaced gaggle of them and suddenly that legalistic mental mate checklist (house? car? sinecure with the Party? Now we talk long time.) evaporates like so much empty bluster. Why do I think this? Because I’d bet coin of the realm that in a country of 500 million men, not more than three girls have been negged, and I’m counting the whores. The conceptual reality of Chinese men couldn’t be further from the world of pickup.
Hey, if a lonely sex-starved Chinese man can’t get a nibble, he could always pull a van der sloot. That’s guaranteed to get him an avalanche of marriage proposals. And it’s a lot cheaper than paying for a house 22 times the cost of the median Chinese annual salary. But seriously, let’s hope this banal, arid materialistic quid pro ho doesn’t infect the rest of the world. Last thing America needs is another layer of absurd entitlement on top of the noxious layers currently defeminizing our women. Offtopic but I just noticed this interview with Lori Gottleib, author of “Marry Him”- the case for settling for a beta male. It looks like maybe the interviewer is familiar with your theories. Gottleib wrote a 322 page book on settling and confesses that she had never heard of the theory of the alpha male until the reporter brought it up. Notably Gottleib herself has not followed her own advice and is still single.

I strongly disagree with a few points here. The basic problems with this analysis are twofold: the division of wealth in China, and the rarity of Chinese guys with game.
In the West, there is a broad spread of wealth. In China, most people are poor. Rich people are very, very rich. A government official from Shanghai who was executed a few years ago for corruption relating to Real estate development was found to have 22 “wives”, dozens of children by them, and more than one hundred million dollars in offshore bank accounts. Read that again: more than US$100,000,000.
Is this similar to the English experience documented in “A farewell to Alms”? Absolutely, but accelerated tenfold. In three or four generations the average Chinese man will be vastly smarter and more ruthless. The average woman will be taller and better looking, because their mom was.
Hundreds of millions of Chinese men are playing beta provider, but they are having one child at best. The smartest, most ambitious men with the highest risk tolerances (entrepreneurs, party operatives, white collar criminals) are having literally ten times more children. China today is Darwinism in real time.
There are Chinese men with game. Not many, but they are there. I know a guy in Beijing who is a painter, poorer than any American welfare recipient, not good looking at all. He has dated Western women, Japanese women and more Chinese chicks than would fit in a bus. He told me he learned how to game chicks by watching his older brother. Because so few other Chinese guys have game, those that do clean up.
I know a few Chinese actors and am always shocked by how bad their body language is. But it doesn’t matter: fame works anywhere.

The main difference between the US and China is that gold digging is looked down upon in the US, but not in China. Ask any Chinese girl what she is looking for in a husband and there’s a 99% chance the first sentence out of her mouth is “He makes at least XXX dollars/month”. No joke. The only girls that might say otherwise are ones that come from wealthy families.

Sounds like the inherent contradiction lurking around here. Societies that reward beta males and protect their interests are the hardest to game but reward the most men with quality wives without game. Such a society may be more stable and economically sound, and produce more beta males.
On the other hand Western feminized/misandrist culture rewards game and rewards badboys as the only way to succeed with women, while all the frivolity is fueled on the backs and the dimes of the beta males who are robbed through cuckoldry and divorce or are just single and left with loneliness and fewer opportunities if they can’t step up. It’s all going down in flames when the Bernankean-debt-fueled bubbles pop, but it’s a fun ride till then, although all the cuckoldry may produce more alpha bad boy babies.

I would say it is very common, as they see it as one, the ability to raise and support a family and two, in terms of commitment to a goal and to basic competence. They don’t want slackers for husbands and making enough money is a good way to disqualify that trait.

I am 40 and I badly needed Game when I was 19. I took a shortcut and learned Russian and never looked back. Speaking Russian gave me “white god factor” among Russian girls.
Works with Chinese women even better. If a white guy speaks Chinese, he must be a genius — so goes Chinese reasoning, and it’s not even higher level reasoning. It’s more instinctive reaction — hearing her native language come out of the pale round eye mouth is just so impressive that it’s an automatic tingle. Also, Chinese businesses will hire you, do a google on “White guy in a tie.”
The best language program is not Rosetta, it’s the old Pimsleur. And then when you are up to the 40th or so Pimsleur lesson, find a native speaker on the net and do Skype voice chat with her.
I have actually ran into a lot of American guys who learned Russian/Chinese/Spanish for one reason and one reason alone — to get laid. It works!

A woman has to be at a certain level of attractiveness (i.e. being non-fat is extremely important) before I would even consider marrying her. If she weren’t, nothing else could make up for it. I don’t know enough about sex relations in China to know how much of this is true – seems like a lot of trucking in stereotype, which at least makes for entertaining reading. There’s someone I can ask though – married to a Chinese woman and lived in China on and off for 30 years.
Seems like the extreme golddigger phenom, though, might peculiar to societies in transition – rapidly getting richer, more industrialized, more urban, etc. Both because of the emphasis on upward mobility and the instability caused by economic change. There are plays and movies you can see made in the U.S. from the 1880s through 1930s in which the creation of new fortunes by ordinary, non-blue-blood men wreaked havoc on established patterns of female hypergamy, contributing to this same kind of extreme golddiggerdom. (Also, see 1980s and 1990s in NYC.)
In China, at least in the urban areas described here, it’s either complete or in the last stages. Also in China you have the sex imbalance and the culture of conformity. For whatever reason, I too have trouble imagining Chinese men swaggering in a game-like way, which probably exacerbates the power imbalance. Poor dudes. At some point they’ll wander over the border north into Russia – to despoil some off that country’s best natural resources. Heh.

Having said that, I HIGHLY doubt we’re seeing a similar phenomenon in China. The fertility rate of the urban middle and upper middle class is in all likelihood lower, not higher than that of the rural lower classes and the urban proletariat. This is partly due to the one-child policy, which is enforced pretty well among the urban state employees but not the peasants. In many provinces there is a de facto two-child policy or so I’ve heard.
All in all, I think the original English idea is good: do NOT provide welfare to the underclass because they will outbreed everyone else. We ignore this wisdom to our peril.

It’s true that on average, Chinese men have less game, but because the Chinese you meet in the states are the highest IQ betaest betas from an already beta culture, you have a skewed view. In China, you definitely notice some natural alphas.

I see this all the time in Shanghai. The likelihood of a young thing stumbling through English with some chubby middle-aged International Man who shouts business directions into his phone over a foie gras and a Budweiser is enormous. When you’ve got guys handling empires for substances as elemental as wood and copper, there’s some really dizzying fortunes for women to fight over.
There is a crop of girls who are distinctly more Bohemian, but many seem to dangle from the arms of similarly artsy foreign men who are high status in their little subcultural pocket. I lived with a guy who was entirely unemployed and dated a successful and attractive Chinese translator for as long as I knew him.

So this kind of ruins your whole hypothesis, doesn’t it, Roissy? You say that as women get more socially empowered, the less interest they will have in relying on a man’s ability to provide. And yet here, in China, you have women who have improved their independence and earning power by leaps and bounds over the last 20 years, and they turn out to be more materialistic.
Simple fact is, I doubt “game” would work among a lot of Chinese girls – at least the way its traditionally defined. Why? Well, for one thing someone like Mystery running his mouth about astrology and his stripper girlfriends would probably strike them as downright strange – and useless. I’ve even seen a few of my Western friends “neg” Chinese girls, only to be indignantly walked out on.
It stems a large part from the fact that Chinese culture really teaches girls to ignore their sexuality – so they’re not going to go with someone solely because they are charming, sexually attractive, a bad boy etc. And even if they did, the culture puts up huge social shaming mechanisms, and a relationship wouldn’t last very long. Sluttiness is stigmatized. So they’re going to select for people who in our society would be written off as “betas” – that is, men with measurable value in their economy. Moreover, the behaviors which in our society are stigmatized as “nice” are par for course. In a conformist society, someone without manners and the necessary social graces soon finds himself an outcast. Why is it that you see so many nice, put-together, nerdy dudes in this country dating FOB Asians? Because they have basic manners and actual productive value in our society – something that American women tend to take for granted.
Unless you have money or are somehow associated with money (such as being a Westerner), you’re not in the game. At the same time, once you have made it into this stratosphere, you can clean up – and China is full of recovering expatriate dorks with 15 girlfriends.

Lived there 5 months for work. Slept with over 50+ women, Chinese women were easy for me. Tough for local guys tho, all I had to do was smile and use broken Mandarin. That said the 8+ took more than a night to bed… which is rare for me. They are in a transition period as middle class spending goes up, so does materialistic goals.

I see that most of your comments are directed at the stereotypical white Americans. But what about Asians in the U.S.? Do you think that Asians in America requires on average a higher level of game to achieve the same success as their white counterparts?
By the way, I’m curious on how foreigners transfer their game in China. I’m a fluent Chinese speaker (lived in China from 2 to 12), but that’s only limited to academic language. My colloquial Chinese level is still at the middle school level. When in China, girls would expect me to converse in Chinese (since I look Chinese and all), and since a smooth Chinese game is rather different from a smooth English game (or game in any other Western language), it’s proven quiet difficult.
Any advices?

Not any harder or easier just different I would say. Most Chinese girls/hottest girls do not go to bars/clubs and if they do they are taken by rich guys and so will be in private rooms or tables.
These rich guys will have many models on the go at once, I know of a few 50+ year old men usually married who do this. This basically means it is hard to get access and you will need to speak chinese which automatically excludes the large majority of foreigners. This also means you will ideally need to build up your social circles and you better have something of social value to offer.

At my university, I know a good number of International Chinese/Korean/Taiwanese asians. I noticed that they are the only girls that would patiently at the edge of the basketball courts at the university gym. Not entirely sure what to make of it, but I know that no American girl I know does that.

Let me add that the experience of Western businesses (GE comes to mind, I toured their turbine plant briefly) in China is definitely not the cognitive elite that most think about Chinese people.
The Chinese workers at GE were (required by the State) imported from rural areas. Many had never seen a bathroom, and used it for food prep and the stairways for going to the bathroom. I was told this was typical for rural peoples, who were considered by the Western businesses that employed them in various joint ventures to be considerably lower on the IQ and education scale than coastal peoples. FWIW.

I’m not trying to disparage Asian women. By and large, the stereotypes are often true. When I was in Korea, I found a certain ratio of women, 30-35%, seemed genuinely innocent and shocked at the mention of sex; I knew a number of 30-year-old virgins. Some older than that. But, … 30% might be an overestimate. I’m guessing it is. This is just what I felt might be the maximum percentage.

There’s a general perception that Asian women are more loyal, tolerant of beta behaviors, and make better ltrs. I remember one person quipped “…it is almost as if they are programmed for service and loyalty…”
At my university, I know a good number of International Chinese/Korean/Taiwanese asians. I noticed that they are the only girls that would patiently at the edge of the basketball courts at the university gym. Not entirely sure what to make of it, but I know that no American girl I know does that.
This is true. They do this very well; very feminine. I love that about Taiwanese women (especially) and Koreans. The Chinese are less so. But this loyalty must *not* be confused with sexual loyalty.
I’ve never heard affairs and dalliances explained away more effectively than by Asian women. “It just happened”, “I needed to”, “I didn’t plan it, please forgive me”, add in tears and a sweet voice, “I love you”.
They’re just as sexually enraptured as any other woman.
There are lots of naive, less sexually open Asian women. But you should be extremely wary of the nice ones, too.
Asian Men Being Tooled
I knew a horde of Asian guys with nice girlfriends and they’d never or rarely slept with them, despite the availability of love hotels and lots of time for trysts. Instead, they’d go away on trips to Jejudo or the eastern sea or, in Taiwan, to HK or wherever. Or there would be big presents.
That’s when they’d have their sex. And the guys would feel all manly about it. Ahem.
So what about the rest of the time? These women were good, loyal, attentive girlfriends, building towards marriage with their appropriate suitor.

A very, very large proportion of those very same ladies, often the most innocent-looking ones, had a lover on the side. Often more than one, though usually only one. This lover spent no money on her, did nothing for her, just fucked her senseless in the love hotels she didn’t go to with her BF.
A personal perspective: CHINA
I was early in my game learning, but I practiced it in Korea and China. Taiwan was later and I was working a lot, so I have limited experience (but Taiwanese women are often the funkiest, and have the most fetishes).
China: The younger generation (up to 30) look like monkeys when compared to the older generation, who look like dinosaurs. You can’t trust what any expatriate Chinese says if they’ve been abroad for more than 5-10 years or didn’t come from a big city.
— BTW, all of this to say: Even for me, after my insane pillaging of Korea, China was just too much. There was no money-for-sex in Korea; it was all two adults finding each other. In China, it’s a whole different ballgame. And absolutely everything is marketized and marketable. I dislike that kind of exchange, personally, and Chinese women seemed too slutty even for me, even for casual flings. I made some extremely good friends there, several of them lovers, and they remain so; and they’re good people. But they were remarkable for not being quite the material whores everyone else seemed to be. This is perhaps how we chose each other.
Sex in China is a bargaining tool. And the women dole it out for money, presents, good times, cash, and in their spare time, love.
Love has nothing to do with marriage, which is purely about position and angling.
They give sex away FOR FREE to men who game them right. These women also want to have a good time, and because sex is just a commodity, giving it up for a guy who treats you well is nothing. My experience in China is slightly better than it was in Taiwan, where I didn’t spend a huge amount of time.
I lived in Shanghai, Nanjing, and Suzhou each for 2-3 months, and made frequent trips to Beijing, as well as other smaller cities, just to visit (gave me credibility and means to bring a lover along on occasion).
*I* would be approached. I never needed to game women. The hot ones needed only minor game, and the hot ones were fucking scorching, Shanghai was painful to be in if your eyes were open.
Ans it wasn’t just foreigners: my Chinese co-workers all had extra women, every guy, every single one; the wives had lovers.
You can think what you want, but China is not the China of stories and legends. There’s no morality left there. Not a drop.
Girls were actively selling their “Virginity” (often several times), … I was offered sex for presents, sex for gifts, sex for a trip to Thailand or HK, threesomes with hot girls to see what Foreigners do – and none of these girls, not one, was what you think was a slut, by watching or talking or socializing with them.
I was terrified of taking any of these offers. You never knew what kind of trouble you were getting yourself into, and in my industry, I was always walking on glass, with no shoes.
The Chinese guys with anything (money, looks, a nice car, trips abroad) were mobbed. If you didn’t have a mistress, you were a fuckup and a loser. You could keep a stable with anything like a small fortune or great connections.
Attractive women who didn’t get cash for their beauty were stupid, in the view of many.
But the women wanted sex/love, too. I knew men who had “Girlfriends”, and these women often officially belonged to some Top Guy, servicing the guy for money or status, but the women stayed with the men I knew because they loved them.
How do you sort through that mess?
There is *NO* sexual morality left in China. None. For that, you need to go west or into places Hebei (and not even there).
Anyone who says different is engaging in wishful thinking, or is trying to sell you something.
And it’s not just hotel-bar culture. The housewives are fucking around, too. Watch for the results of paternity tests there. If they ever institute mandatory paternity testing, … the results might be shocking.
BTW, the terrifying thing: In China, unsafe sex is the norm.
JAPAN
Japanese women are a totally different category. They *are* total sluts in a very Japanese way. You need to work to get some of them, but there’s no traditional negative feeling, like there is in China or Korea, about sex. Having sex isn’t shameful at all. Japanese women may look like sluts, but they’re not breaking their own culture’s taboos, by and large. So it’s not an ethical or social-status issue. It’s the animist background.

I have to concur with Gorb’s assessment of China. I was there for three weeks on a ship laid up in port for repairs. Nantong, about four hours by car from Shanghai. I still remember how funny it was to hear locals say “Welcome to the small town of Nantong, population 7 million.” Anyway, the contractors, electrical engineers, electronics gurus -all these guys were from Germany and the U.S. -and they had harems of chinese poon. It wasn’t even concealed. It was out in the open for all to see. I’d get ready for a night on the town with my fellow crewmembers and pass by these guys in the hotel lobby with their bitches. Usually it was one guy and three women. Unbelievable. Never seen that shit out in the open before.
Moral of the story? If you wanna score in china, you better bring something to the table, not just a standard run of the mill BA. China’s gone from farmer/commie/hammer and sickle to ubercapitalist/laissez-faire in about 30 years. They want money, cars, ipods and beach front property -all of them.
Japan sounds more realistic. Capitalism isn’t new to them, they’re probably a little wiser and more mature. They play video games, get manicures and go to the salon. They look at females as ‘friends’. Go west young man. The land of the rising sun awaits you.

– Aggression
– Order (always respect authority, no matter how retarded)

– Show no emotion, including anger
Basically, it radically feminizes males. When many Asian go outside Asia, they can seem physically and emotionally much more like pubescent females than adult men. ABCs are generally much worse – they’re really super-beta, accomodating, super nice guys.
Black women and Asian men do the worst in the dating market for different reasons. Asian men are seen as effeminate and socially clueless; this is largely true.
On the other hand, an Asian guy who unlearns this or never had it can score like no tomorrow.

ABOUT FOREIGNERS BEING BAD AT EVERYTHING ELSE:
The US may have lots of problems, but let’s get something straight: China got its growth from its cheap pool of labour. Korea got it by copying and stealing ideas wholesale, and it still does. Japan has more genuine ingenuity in one mile of any city than China does in the entire country.
Take away these advantages, and China wouldn’t be so miraculous. There’s no extra Chinese genius.
One thing: Socially, the Chinese seem needlessly prone to decay, corruption (hence social collapse) and a serious lack of empathy. It makes nation-building with anything but iron bootheels very difficult in that kind of cultural environment.
Note that ABCs and foreign-born Chinese don’t have these traits.
I’ve also heard this from Chinese and Korean companies:
This is what Chinese and Koreans have told me about the foreign workers they’ve dealt with:
– Westerners work fewer hours and are more difficult to manage, but they think freely on the job and are more useful. They work *MUCH* harder during the hours they actually work. They chat and socialize less. 8 hours usually means 8-9 hours of actual work, not 15 hours of maybe 3-7 hours of actual work.
– Western men, especially Canadians and Scandinavians, are more compromising and are better able to manage large staff with different cultural backgrounds. The Chinese and Koreans are singularly bad at this. Stories abound. The cultures don’t adapt well and are extremely navel-gazing. Attitudes are ossified.
– American managers are able to get things done on time. Chinese managers have to use threats and force to get things done efficiently.
– Corruption: Westerners seem to have an inherent resistance to and distaste for corruption; Asian managers tend to be corrupt and absolutely untrustworthy
– Corruption: You can’t trust any deal you sign. Watch your suppliers/contracting companies/workers like a hawk. They’ll steal as soon as blink at you. Nothing in China is as it seems.
– If you have a serious problem, don’t go to the cops. Most of them are dangerously corrupt and they blame foreigners for lots of things.
– Stereotypes of Foreigners; Criminal, lazy, lotharios.
Fact: Chinese men (and Koreans) are, if anything, more promiscuous than foreigners, if they can be; Chinese think nothing of corruption or abusing others for personal gain; and lazy? It’s hard to get 8 straight hours of continuous hard work out of the Koreans, or even the Chinese, without breaks, chats, a lunch, etc.
I’ve worked and lived there. None of the stereotypes about the west or the east are either fully true or fully untrue.
Contrary to popular belief, China is not filled with math and science geniuses inventing the modern world. Far from it. Neither is everyone there a business genius.
America has lots of problems. China has many more, and don’t worry: it’ll acquire all of America’s problems in short order.
To sum up: Chinese and Americans are pretty much the same under the skin. The cultures have their advantages and disadvantages, and to blind yourself to the disadvantages inherent in Asian cultures is to pander to resentment.

It’s all true. I lived it in two places; I spent some time in Taiwan. I spent a good bit of time in Japan, oddly not in Tokyo. I spoke to dozens of foreigners and I met mostly locals.

It’s essentially asking what you know of divorce always and esp. child custody, support and property division in China these days in the case of a cheating wife.
It’s more equitable for men there than here, but it still means the woman gets half. *half*. If a guy buys a house, before the marriage, good odds on his losing half of it.
It’s hard for me to understand why Chinese men don’t kick their cheating wives to the curb w/very little money and w/out the kids, in great numbers, in light of this mass cheating of married women phenomenon that you say is now prevalent — unless their divorce and custody and property division laws in the case of cheating wives are much like current day Americas. Which would greatly surprise me too.

Let me add that the experience of Western businesses (GE comes to mind, I toured their turbine plant briefly) in China is definitely not the cognitive elite that most think about Chinese people.
The Chinese workers at GE were (required by the State) imported from rural areas. Many had never seen a bathroom, and used it for food prep and the stairways for going to the bathroom. I was told this was typical for rural peoples, who were considered by the Western businesses that employed them in various joint ventures to be considerably lower on the IQ and education scale than coastal peoples. FWIW.
Given the huge mass of Chinese people, you’d expect them to have at least a quarter of the world’s geniuses. They don’t. But there are huge numbers of smart Chinese. Of course there are: There are huge numbers of Chinese.
A tour of the Chinese countryside, where the majority of Chinese still live, and the smaller cities, will quickly disabuse you of the theory that the Chinese represent some sort of super-smart super race.
They have a society that concentrates the smart and the educated. And then puts them to work. It’s not a meritocracy, but it’s a seriously ranked society.
And the culture stresses education almost more than Jewish culture does.
But the mass of the breeding is still done by relatively dumb people.
Stripping the cultural effects from the genetic effects is very difficult.
The best way to see the real genetic effects is to look at the far-right of the intelligence/talent bell curve. The Chinese should have at least 1/4 of the representatives there.

There’s a great book with lots of cultural weirdness like this laid out in it called, “What’s So Good about Korea, Maarten?” I thought it was devilishly clever myself. Chun Doo Hwan and Park Chung Hee were geniuses. Park in particular; I’ve considered writing a book on his national renewal movement. Part of his genius; he realized Korean society was too inherently corrupt, so he sent the whole goddamned country to honesty camp (which sounds exactly like it is), and it more or less worked. Old Park turned the lot of ’em into … I dunno, something like a society of Asian mormons. They went from a GDP/capita significantly lower than sub Saharan Africa in 1961 to a global economic power in something like a decade.

i have never been to china, but here is the obvious point that should be made for all the idiot fucks trying to analyze china here: china is about the size of all of europe plus all of north and south america. it is a world unto itself. it is not a culture. it is many cultures, just like europe and north and south america comprise many cultures. it is bigger than the biggest big of big countries you can imagine. it is closer to being a planet than a nation.

This is true. But this is often all the sex they get. I know that for most men, getting married ends their sex lives with their mates. After the kids, it’s definitely over. I will say this: in China, I worked closely with urban Chinese men, socialized with them frequently, was engaged in the business culture, traveled the country, saw their lives, dated women, listened to what they said, elicited stories, and–

I’ll say this: Countries like Korea (especially) and China have a Public Face and a “reality” which has *nothing*, I can’t emphasize this enough, *nothing* to do with the public face.
The Public Face is true for a small segment of the population. For the rest, it’s irrelevant.
But, be warned: Chinese people HATE it when outsiders talk about anything Chinese. They shut right down, write you off, go into super-defensive mode. This is true of Asian people generally, but the Chinese are particularly sensitive to the slightest criticism of any kind. The Koreans are as well, but in a very different way.
So before you believe anything: *GO* there. Don’t take my word for it. Go live there.
And don’t just see the Great Wall.
The Chinese are great. Like anyone, anywhere. I personally have a huge soft spot for Koreans, I think it’s a truly outstanding nation. But JUST like Americans, Asian people a lot of delusions about themselves that have nothing to do with reality. Hang out there and tell me you don’t see it.

I’ve lived here for more than 10 years and have banged dozens of Chinese girls without understanding game.

I’m a white American guy who has lived in Asia for 4 years.
Yes, there are lots of betas here. My theory on that is that Confucian values are all about keeping the masses docile and in line so the ruling class can remain in power.
On the other hand, there are alphas like you wouldn’t believe. The culture here is different — masculine men are hyper masculine and don’t give a fuck about a woman’s feelings. Women are hyper-feminine in that they know they way to get what they want is to use their feminine wiles. In a lot of ways, culture here is more “base human” and less manufactured by legal or abstract concepts about “rights.” Power rules.
The alphas here get incredible amounts of play. Cheating is rampant, even though on the outside everyone seems “conservative.” Betas live in their delusional bubbles and pedestalize women, which is encouraged by the culture (again, keeping them docile).
It’s odd that you rarely see Asian American guys approaching anywhere near the masculinity levels I see on display regularly in Asia. Must be something in the water.

To the extent China isn’t poor, it’s because of massive wealth concentration at the top. I agree the living standard is better than the numbers would appear. Plus, this is a generation that HAS been poor – remember progress is rapid.

Just FYI it’s not really k-selection that does this. It’s probably degree of adaptation to malthusian life. Stateless foragers possibly lived in a slightly less-malthusian situation, especially in Africa where falciparum malaria reigned.

So, aside from the summary, I can add that so within the 2/3 population, it is less of a case of super sluts and more of men being super beta (and Korea fucking everyone except their own spouse)… Right?

I want to say that my despondency is not because my heart knows it is true, my understanding that for the heat to know that it is true, the heart requires real life experience rather than convincing arguments. But I tend assume the worse by fear that assuming better set myself up for a world of hurt. Despite the fact that all this time reading and rereading all these comments is not exactly helping my life either. I tend to think logically and the best flaws I can point out is your experience is still anecdotal, but still undismissible.
Speaking of anecdotal, some have actually point out that doubt. I already read that you admit that it is possible. I have to add also that while you interacted with all level of income and backgrounds, it sounds like your interaction is still people who deals with foreigners and I have heard that the big cities have all been heavily Americanized. Also the Chinese speaking ability does have a point. It means only those who speak English good enough, it could lead to a skewed result as the ones more interested to learn English fluently is the one most interested in banging foreigners.
Of course, none is enough for me to dismiss, the scale you point still have an importance.
Anyways, at least I can take some comfort by a few things.
First, the observation the change of culture with women by only 5 years (which is pretty amazing), that not everyone is the same. Society is not dead set in one direction forever and there’s some subcultures that behave different.
Second, the observation that the men are not touching the wives/super super beta is also comforting. While game is our best protection, I have doubts that I can raise my game to a level that can keep someone enthralled forever and it sounds tiresome. I can see myself keep a backbone and basically be a man (or basically be normal, hope you can concur with this). It sounds like those men are completely dominated. I can see that even the nicest of girls get tired, like if your girl get fat, it becomes real hard to at least not voice something. I have lived in the three most important cities in my country, I speak my country´s language as first language, I look as a native, I have huge social circles in two of those three cities, I have always had surplus of money, I always made friends with other guys easily, and yet….
I could never make such strong statements about my country as Gorbachev makes about China. Gorbachev knew more about China as non-Chinese speaker White American than me about Brazil in 26 years.

I have found Chinese women who have been in the USA for any length of time are by comparison much more difficult to game than most other nationalities. Other Asian cultures then follow, then Eastern Block Europeans, then native-born Americans, followed by Latinas, and finally Western Europeans. Australians are still out of the list because I haven’t come across enough of them to have a large enough test sample.
This seems to be because since the Chinese women are so focused on marrying a guy who has money, that when they get to the USA, and find they can achieve that level o9f success on their own merits, they no longer have very much drive for a husband at all.
More than one Chinese-born woman I have dated is divorced. Her American husband paid bookoo bucks to go to China, adopt her, then bring her back to the States, where once she gave him children, raising them to hate him, she divorced him. They laugh at our court system because they can almost rob a guy blind by use of a wedding ring, plus they get to become US citizens. They have a double-win.
Make that a triple-win, because they know many American guys have Asian fetishes and can find a guy to have sex with nearly any time they want.

Most of the girls I met weren’t particularly into foreigners. Most spoke English, though many did not (French and German were both useful).
The women were therefore all educated. That was one determiner.

I knew lots of foreigners who spoke better mandarin than ABCs. There’s a growing tribe of them, from all over the world. It’s no longer all that remarkable in CHina’s professional circles. BTW, they had no trouble picking up girls whenever they wanted.
I just tell it like I saw it, as it was for foreigners. If you interact with local people, and talk to them, and remember what they say – you can piece it together pretty well.

I have lived in the three most important cities in my country, I speak my country´s language as first language, I look as a native, I have huge social circles in two of those three cities, I have always had surplus of money, I always made friends with other guys easily, and yet….

I just report my observations. I’m a white foreign guy. I assume you’re going to modify said observations based on this. But I get to talk to lots of Chinese about China, too. Much of the stuff I say doesn’t come from me – it comes from Chinese people, my former GFs, guys I worked with, etc.

I have found Chinese women who have been in the USA for any length of time are by comparison much more difficult to game than most other nationalities. Other Asian cultures then follow, then Eastern Block Europeans, then native-born Americans, followed by Latinas, and finally Western Europeans. Australians are still out of the list because I haven’t come across enough of them to have a large enough test sample.

It might not have been that explicit, but it’s old school conservative wisdom. FWIIW, most of my experience with Asian women has been in the US. I find Anon Anon’s comment to be without merit. Asian American women are almost exactly the same as white American women. Asian immigrants or visitors … easier to deal with, IMO. A lot of this is just culture for me: American women have such horrible attitudes they mostly disgust me. While I’m not a huge Asian woman fan, at least they’re somewhat feminine. They’re also incredibly aggressive once you hit their wet spot; getting rid of them is sometimes really difficult. Part of this is doubtless immigrant loneliness, but whatever; that’s what I’ve observed, and it sure makes the “game” a lot easier when they do all the work.

About IQ and sex drive, I’ve heard that it’s a common observation that Mensa members have a high proportion of high libido people.
They are also known to be lazier and more fun loving than most people. The rationalization used to cover that is that smart people aren’t used to working hard for anything, and so don’t have the habit of diligence.
I’d bet money that smart/creative (not smart/good memory) types have above average libidos. And that they are more curious. And that they need stimulation more than slower folks.

I would also rate creativity higher than eidetic memory.
Eidetic memory was obviously very important in the past, when information was passed down orally, became less important following the invention of printing and effectively more or less redundant with the internet.
What is valuable now is the ability to remember enough to know how to dig for information, and understand it when extracted, rather than reciting it from scratch, and the capacity to make something original out of it.

In my field, no one can possibly remember all the information & it would in fact be dangerous to rely on memory, it is more about skills in being able to find information, understand it & apply it in practice.

1, i suspect this is only true insofar as “memory” refers to rote memorization of facts that have no personal significance to whoever is memorizing them.
2, a huge exception is the capacity for remembering words — linguistic abilities are very much differently wired, so i would suspect the same is true for linguistic memory.
3, you are ignoring a hugely important confounding variable: the power of suggestion.
it’s very, very hard to break free of set mental frameworks — much harder than you’d think. (if you don’t realize just how powerful a few specifics can be, try to list as many words as you can that start with, say, “L” — you probably won’t even get past 5-6 before you start recycling them in your head, even though you know thousands.)
this is another huge contributing factor: the better your memory, the more mental signposts. the more signposts, the harder to leave the trail.
note especially that #3 correctly predicts the well-known observation that creativity declines with age — with age comes more and more absorbed information.
if your causal relationship were strictly true, then we’d expect older people to become more creative in response to their declining memory, which is not at all what actually happens.

I went to stuyvesant high school in NYC, for those that don’t know its the number 1 public high school in NYC. It also has over 60% asians. A VAST majority of them are nerds who could barely talk to a real attractive asian girl and then go home and talk about c-pop and j-pop stars amongst themselves. However there was one group that definitely had game and they had a big number of asian girls after them… See because if you are an asian with game, you are somewhat of an anomaly and therefore I think you can score even more than white guys with the same amount of game.

Most members of Mensa I’ve met have been dorks. They have a much higher than average level of perversion and sexual openness -stuff like “polyamory” or S&M is common in their lot. I am not real impressed with Mensans as human beings. My career keeps me working with people with true god-like intelligence. I used to be a physicist; presently work in finance and machine learning. I’ve never detected much of a correlation between “real brains” (the ability to do physics for example), IQ (the ability to join Mensa; a much lower bar) and sex drive. High sex drive people tend to end up in management quicker than regular smart people is the only real thing I’ve noticed. That’s just a testosterone thing. If anything, many *very* smart people have little to no sex drive. Fortunately, I’m kind of dumb for a scientist.

I think this is somewhat wrong because you get things done much faster if you don’t have to look stuff up constantly. I used to do medical research and the doctors I worked with had amazing amounts of knowledge in their brains.
I’m also skeptical that having a good memory inhibits creativity. Joyce, for instance, must of had to have an amazing memory with all the details in his books on top of his knowledge of language. I’m sure there are people who can memorize the phone book who are very uncreative, but it seems verbally creative people seem to have good memories for language. Visual artists might not have good language memory, but I bet they have excellent muscle and visual memory.

I think your two clauses are unrelated. There have been studies about this, and in general, a large population tends to match us as partners according to attractiveness level. People are happiest when paired up with someone of the same number.
But we’ve screwed up that process in society. The current cock-carousel paradigm means that young women go after guys out of their league, and then when they hit the wall they revert to someone of their own stature and expect them to “settle down” with them because “that’s what a man should do.” Pfff.
While they become the wrong end of a pump-and-dump, guys who go after hotter girls get summarily rejected (unless they have game.)
I mused in a previous thread if homely girls were even more likely to be sluttacious in their youth – since they had zero chance of “settling down” with a high-status man, logically they should ride the train when they still can. It wasn’t that I said you were worse than any other nationality, if you look at my comment I merely said that you tended to be at your best with foreign women, we Irishwomen never really get to see you at your best. I agree that this is probably our own fault as on balance foreign women are better looking and more charming. There is also probably an evo-psych reason for this as well as our genetic stock is somewhat limited to say the least.

If you look at my blog you will note my views on red haired men, to whom I accorded the honor of not one, but two posts. As I am lazy, and writing a post takes up at least half a day of my (very short) weekend, this was quite a compliment.
Although it seems a shame in a way, to water down the ginger strain, there is beauty in both the subtle and the blazing red hair (this is fortunate, as red hair tends to go through various changes in the course of a ginger’s life)
It is the abiding sadness of my life that, despite two red-haired grandparents (both geniuses in their own way), the red in my hair has always been confined to the odd highlight. However I like to feel that the latent ginger, although not immediately perceptible, adds to my appeal.
So yes, ginger mixed in with something else, whether in terms of hair color or in terms of human reproduction, is something quite special, even where the ginger mix is not immediately obvious. If I were not so lazy, I would look for examples.

Some additional considerations . I’m not being disingenuous, I honestly think people blow the polygyny thing out of proportion, as far as its incidence and effects. with few facts.
I mentioned stats, you can dig for some, here’s a freebie – only around 12% of Saudi males have multiple wives. Of them, 90% have only 2. In some areas of Saudi it’s as low as 3%.
Those are official stats, but why would the govt lie when the practice itself is utterly socially accepted as legitimate. Legitimacy does not mean it’s common. Even, though, if you give it a wider margin you are still looking at a minority.
I mentioned Africa before. Polygyny in Senegal may be a little higher than 47%.. but Africa is at the margins of the Muslim world, and Senegal is at the far fringe.
In Sudan it’s actually encouraged (as opposed to just allowed) the reason being an unusually high female population in Sudan.
In many areas it’s allowed but socially frowned upon, like Egypt or Morocco. In Tunisia it’s illegal so too in Turkey (though I’ve heard it unofficially pops up in rural areas of Turkey)
Look around and you will find it’s rare everywhere except in Africa. African cultures tend to have greater tolerance for polygamy than Asian ones. One survey conducted in Nigeria found about 60% of women surveyed said they would prefer their husbands having another wife.
Everywhere other than Africa it is rare. In European Muslim lands (Bosnia, Albania, Turkey) it is extraordinarily rare – though Caucasian Muslims in Russian lands have it a wee bit more often.
In Asian societies in which it is less rare, it’s a bit less rare in the Gulf, Saudi, and Yemen.
One factor as to why it’s rare – who can afford more than one wife? The fact that Men had to pay their wives a Dower, which could be very steep if you were marrying a woman of rank and lineage, and even if you were marrying a middle class woman the dower is still significant. In many lands the amount of Dower was somewhat in flux, but in some lands (like North African Maliki lands, and Indian/Turkish Hanafi lands) there were definite amounts as far as a “suitable dower” fixed by law commensurate with her degree of nobility, or lack thereof (again nobility could be defined as by wealth, or by position and lineage, or just sheer beauty.
So you pick a poor hottie who’s the daughter of a cobbler, she’s considered noble by beauty.
And your dower paid to her was a small king’s ransom, depending on just how beautiful she was (it was only paid to her family in later more degenerate ages, in most of history it went to her)
You pick a homely daughter of an Amir(Prince), obviously noble by both wealth and position.
And your dower paid to her is commensurate with the Amir’s lineage and degree of wealth
You pick a normally pretty girl from a merchant family descended from cobblers, she’s noble by wealth, but not especially beauty and certainly not lineage.

There is considerable literature on the social history of the Middle East and Africa, many societies like the Mughals and Ottomans, and later Mamluke Egypt, are obscenely well documented due to a general obsession with recording stuff, that Muslims used to have, and as for today you have considerable statistics of 1.57 Billion Muslims worldwide, of whom a tiny minority are polygynous (look up the states)

The rest are typically married. The poor unmarried radical Muslim man meme only exists in some cultures, there are huge swaths of the Muslim world in which all but the most poor of men usually manage to get married and settle down by their early 30s, and in many cases far younger.
It’s more complex than you think.
A modern comparison – a friend of mine, who is an American convert, just married a girl from Senegal. She comes from a poor immigrant family, that mostly braids hair in the inner city, and she demanded $10,000 as a dower. They whittled it down to $5 grand. I have a Kurdish friend who forked out $15K for his marriage. Imagine doing that 4 times.
All Wives, be they noble or lowly, were due EQUAL treatment other than maintenance. As to favoring one over another sexually, they were all due sexual satisfaction and a man was prohibited from withholding sex from one, in favor to another. Women could, and did, sue over this. There are records of cases, with fatawa (legal briefs) recording rulings in these matters.
I’m not making any of this stuff up. In Saudi and the Arabian gulf, where polygyny exists, you will find this. There are not many men on this forum who can afford separate bloody Houses and servants for 3 or 4 wives. A few commentators can, but most can’t.
(For reference see Risala Ibn Abi Zaid of Qairawan, Ibn Rushd (Averroes) also outlines this in a little bit of detail in his Bidayat al-Mujtahid – See the Section “Kitab al-Nikah” Chapter 4 “Marital Rights” and Section Kitab al-Talaq – it’s available in English translation but hard to obtain. You might be able to dig up a copy on gigapedia. See also “Reliance of the Traveler” being a translation of “Umdat al-Salik” the sections on marital rights and obligations are there. For norms covering the Ottoman and Mughal world find a reasonable translation of the Hedaya)
Requirements for Mistress concubines were less, but even still one had to provide for them. They are essentially family, they are “your women” which means you have to feed them, clothe them, take care of them, protect them, they travel with you well you are feeding 3,4, 5, 6 people? If you have 3 wives and 2 concubines, these concubines may well be servants of your wives BUT THIS MEANS THEY GET WAGES because bondsmen and bondswomen in medieval Islam received wages and could, and often did (for law case books and court decisions still exist on record for these matters) SUE for back or unpaid wages.
So, not only are you feeding, clothing, housing several women you are sleeping with, AND putting up with drama like jealousy, competition regarding birth and children, but you also are paying wages or providing services commensurate to wages. While you wouldn’t have provided concubines with servants because, technically, they were servants, probably your wives, you still were giving wages or stipends and feeding them. Well.
For obvious reasons, Mistresses were only kept by social and financial elites.
None of this is theory, it’s historical fact if one cares to dig around in the social histories of these areas.
Where exceptions are stumbled across they shall be few and insignificant when compared to the broader social dynamics. And even there I suspect simply just due to partial information.
Polygyny was accepted in pre-modern Muslim societies, but rarely practiced. When it was practiced it was by upper classes who MARRIED AMONG THEIR OWN most often, in informal eugenic like parings (the ahkam of Kufw – e.g. partner suitability – that stipulating who was and was not considered a suitable male partner to a woman dependent on his rank, occupation, history, lineage, etc)
Also due to warfare and migration (Medieval Muslim societies had intensely populated urban cores, and were often trade/mercantile oriented which meant men traveled frequently on trade – professional classes were often highly mobile, travelling from court to court often marrying again in a new locality.) women statistically often (not always but often) tended to slightly outnumber men anyway.
In other words, there were not only more than enough women to go around, but the few who became co-wives were statistical blips.
Out of thousands of Muslims in multiple countries I’ve known in my life, I’ve only met a small handful who were practicing polygynists.
One, an American convert living in the Persian gulf, another is an native Arab living in the USA.
Another is a Pakistani who gets constant hell from one of the girls families, and the second marriage ended up evaporating. He thinks it was not a wise idea for a man in his condition.
One is a wealthy consultant, spends large amounts of money amply supporting his wives, owns multiple properties for them, and in hindsight sees marrying multiple wives as not the wisest courses for him to have taken. A couple of his wives are reasonably satisfied with the situation and him, but there is headache causing drama at times.
Another is a guy of humble means and he flat out told me “the only men who consider polygamy are stupid. Yes, count me stupid”
Again guys, not an Alpha male paradise, and not often practiced . It happens, more in some cultures than others, but it’s nowhere like how many people picture it. And lurid myths of horny unemployed destructive young Muslim men aside, for the most part most guys in these societies manage to get married to one girl, often by an arranged marriage.

I would agree that evolution occurs slowly in the absense of strong evolutionary pressures. But when the pressures are present evolution can occur incredibly quickly with noticeable changes in centuries. Biologists have already observed this happening with birds.

If you just want to sleep with women, height isn’t an issue: at 5’9″, you tower over lots of guys. And most women. There are hordes of Chinese guys 5’5″5’7″ tall. And the women are about 3-4″ shorter.
In the north, there are lots of tall people. In the south, super-short.
Young and fit and getting a decent job (or not) – you should be able to clean up. Watch out for shit tests and don’t try to marry anyone.

Women’s Issues Moms Deal With Every Day

Have you ever noticed how women have the same things over and over again. The food, cooking and eating take care of home and family work are all redundant. Apart from women treated with cycles of monthly invoices, schedules and routines that can not resist. But … It is an important issue that women move to the side and think again.
Let’s talk about this problem.
By investing your time only once, you can set aside this event and think again. It will literally take care of themselves. In fact, you can go about your life and forget about it because all it has done. Although there are big changes in your life, this thing will not become a problem, it was just all ready completed.
Last Wednesday, I have completed this project and decided that even if the issue comes back to tell … It is finished! And forget about it. Why you should not worry about this issue in particular.

Back home after 2 months in China…
Here’s the skinny. Within 2 weeks of teaching adult ESL, I had about 30 offers from young 20 something women wanting to be my ‘girlfriend’. I took one of them (a wealthy educated) and fucked her at least 50 times. Man it was crazy, she intro’d me to her parents who were really fucked up… they hated each other and hardly spoke, mother cheated, so did the father but both secretly. She told me almost all of her friends were like this. We got along really well for the two months she was in China but then she left to goto school in my home country. I thought I had lucked out and really liked her, I even offered her marriage to quell her problems with the whole ‘sex b4 marriage’ thing.
After a few weeks I missed her and left my job for her… luckily she was going to school in a city just near mine back home. Well she started acting strange over email… vague and distant. I got home, called her and found out that she no longer wanted to hang out with me and was constantly ‘busy w/ school’. I don’t quite understand that but I could care less… I have 30 girls back in China waiting for the chance to jump me.
My question is: Do Chinese girls over estimate their value? or Is it just 100% bad to bring Chinese back to America?
Well anyway the post about Chinese wanting to jump ‘white face’ is absolutely spot on. I have like no money… made roughly 5000 rmb per month in China and have no apartment or worldly possessions worth anything, yet had no trouble bedding a hot young girl, 10 years younger! YET, 100% of the Chinese guys I spoke to were convinced they would never meet a girl UNLESS they owned an apartment (they couldn’t pay for).
So YES if you are the proud owner of a white face then the rules of dating don’t apply to you… goto China and just do approaches on the street if you want. I was bragging to my other white face friend about this 2 weeks ago… we are sort of invincible in China. Actually this applies to most of the orient actually! I also get along with other dudes better there.. we are getting so much sex, there’s no competition whatsoever between us. Its like being in heaven 24/7 and looking over at another dude and just nodding and he knows exactly what you are thinking. Fvck going home!
I’ve never been asked to be ‘boyfriend’ so many times in my life… and I’m friggin 32, out of shape with less than a thousand bucks in the bank. Fvck the west… I’m living 6 months in the East every year from now on till the day I die! I don’t care if I have to work at McDonalds to save the money here… and the best part is: the Chinese women don’t care either!
