“Do what you can with what you have where you are.”
My version is ‘Maximize the positive possibilities.’
There is enjoying the process, and then there is being satisfied with the result.
I seek a combination of both.
To those who tend to feel life is rather meaningless, because they have it pretty good (and are not risking much),
I say try expanding your circle of caring about others,
to where you try to make life better for some who are innocently suffering a miserable existence.
Then life will be plenty meaningful and consequential, for the rest of your life.

Here’s the paradox of the Warrior’s heart:
I remember the remarkable reasoning of German biologist (of the ’40s) regarding doves and wolves.
He observes, when rival doves are confined into a small space, they peck at each other do death. That’s because they have evolved to be timid, and normally fly away to avoid conflict. So, he infers, they have not developed a sense of “mercy.”
Wolves, on the other hand, are fierce warriors. And yet, when a wolf exposes its neck to its rival during a fight, the fighting stops. He concludes, only those who know how to fight, i.e. who face the bloody consequences of a ruthless fight, develop a sense of mercy.
Kind hearts belong to warrior types, not sissies. Sissies are, paradoxically, the most sociopathic and narcissistic.

Todays propoganda teaches that you are a loser if you don’t want to have fun. The same propoganda that teaches feminism and all the shit you expose here Roissy.
Fun, fun, fun! Let us have fun! Girls just wanna have fun! Everybody have fun! My day was great I had a lot of fun! Fun, fun, fun! Today I got drunk and lost my virginity to an asshole, but it was such a fun. Fun fun fun! Bill is a clever serious and caring guy, but lets everyone go to Jacks birthday instead because he is so much fun! Fun, fun fun!
I am disgusted and dissapointed roissy that you bow to the altar of cheap fun. Just like feminists and all stupid degenerate people around. Well but you don’t have to be smart in spiritual areas, for me to learn your carnal arts.
While “fun” can probably be translated to any langueage, I know of no other languege where this word is so accented in popular as in english. And I know five of them. Is it a coinscidence that english is also the langueage of feminism?
Fun is the one of the many narcotics of todays world, the cover we put on ourselves to escape from the scary reality that we are all going to die. Subconciusly person who hasn’t resolved his relationships with Creator fears death. It would take some character to solve these relationships, but since we are encouraged to accept our stupid fat asses today and discouraged from work on ourselves we are indulging in fun instead.
Basically person who depends on fun to forget mortality is the same as a fat person who depends on food to forget his stresses.
I do not seek fun more often than I indulge in a candy and both are rare so that I do not become fat spiritually and phisically.
The closest thing that I pursue is JOY. Joy is superior to fun. So is SERENITY also. A serene, calm and joyful mind, indulging in fun but once a while is more happy than one who obsesses about fun. Such a mind fears not death and old age, such a mind doesn’t ignore realities of this world and cannot be decieved.

“When facing a storm, become the wise man that prays to God to remove the storm within. It is the far more dangerous one.” -my personal motto.
In my humble opinion, it is quite possible to relish life and gain satisfaction from it without hedonism. The question to ask is, what do you seek? And with what level of passion and intensity is it pursued? The law of attraction (or as I like to view it, God) has a funny way of providing exactly what we ask for-for better or worse.

People like to wax poetical about happiness. I want the hard science.
We’re not designed for happiness, so we need to thwart our natures to squeeze every last drop of joy out of this life. This is a serious topic and worth spending some time over.
It is essential to Constantly refer to this stuff, because, like the truth of economic facts, it is easy to forget. This is what I have come up with myself so far.
> Have women in your life who love you deeply – lots of sex. No marriage, no kids.
Travel, go out, your game will approach effortless mastery. The more experience you get, the better you become.
> Strive to be better than others – better at your job, better off monetarily, superior in some ways
It’s just scientific fact that your happiness is largely connected to how superior you perceive yourself to be to the unwashed masses. Be a better writer or artist. Have a better physique. Be smarter, better-read, more travelled, be better with women. Be conscious, seperating yourself from the sleepwalking hamster-wheelers.
Stick to your success schedule
> Have close friends: quality over quantity.
Be proactive with the friends you want to keep: call them, instead of waiting for a call. Take the fucking initiative. Eschew the bad ones, who don’t bring value to your life. Be real and authentic with them.
> Remove parasites from your life.
Whether women or men, if they’re negative they must be cut out like a cancer. Cut them off and they’ll dry away.
> Make an effort to be healthy, fit, and attractive.
Eat primal. Exercise – always pump iron. Invest in excellent clothing.
Go to the gym three or four times a week. When you’re buying your own food (or are choosing it) buy primal: eggs, chicken & turkey, vegetables, fruit, fish. Moderate beer is probably ok, as are slight deviations when eating out and in foreign countries. Wear clothes that make you look ripped. Stay within 10-12% bodyfat: keeps you feeling great about yourself.
> Travel, explore, have adventures, create memories and connections. LOTS of outdoor activity.
Travel whenever you have time off. Do a Roosh.
Go hiking. Go on bicycle trips. It’s intoxicating and educating in a real, visceral way. Bang one girl from each nationality. Time slows down; new experiences get laid down in memory when you travel. Also don’t forget special moments of silence; lying in the grass, with your lover beside you, gazing up at the stars.
> Resist the sheep (despite society needing sheep or it will collapse)
Never let the scorn and bitterness and small-mindedness of others change you or put you off or divert you from your goal. The taboo fact is, not everyone can follow the path you’re taking. Your success in this endeavor is predicated on the (admirable) sheep-like behaviour of others. Not everyone, incidentally, has the brain or gall or wits to do this.
You don’t need to be a psychopath. But you do need to be ruthless when dealing with people who would try to control you. So, if someone tells you that you can’t do something or it’s against the rules, well, tough shit, you don’t get ahead by playing by the book
> Exploit the hell out of your talents, in work, relationships, everything
> Your work must be meaningful to you, and give you high status. Strive every day to improve. As Einstein said, if you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things.
What is the ultimate mission? There must be one. Seeking “Happiness” alone is quixotic. Happiness is largely a product of a meaningful occupation or passion or mission.

Alas! is even love too weak
To unlock the heart, and let it speak?
Are even lovers powerless to reveal
To one another what indeed they feel?
I knew the mass of men conceal’d
Their thoughts, for fear that if reveal’d
They would by other men be met
With blank indifference, or with blame reproved;
I knew they lived and moved
Trick’d in disguises, alien to the rest
Of men, and alien to themselves–and yet
The same heart beats in every human breast!
Ah! well for us, if even we,
Even for a moment, can get free
Our heart, and have our lips unchain’d;
For that which seals them hath been deep-ordain’d!
Fate, which foresaw
How frivolous a baby man would be–
By what distractions he would be possess’d,
How he would pour himself in every strife,
And well-nigh change his own identity–
That it might keep from his capricious play
His genuine self, and force him to obey
Even in his own despite his being’s law,
Bade through the deep recesses of our breast
The unregarded river of our life
Pursue with indiscernible flow its way;
And that we should not see
The buried stream, and seem to be
Eddying at large in blind uncertainty,
Though driving on with it eternally.
But often, in the world’s most crowded streets,
But often, in the din of strife,
There rises an unspeakable desire
After the knowledge of our buried life;
A thirst to spend our fire and restless force
In tracking out our true, original course;
A longing to inquire
Into the mystery of this heart which beats
So wild, so deep in us–to know
Whence our lives come and where they go.
And many a man in his own breast then delves,
But deep enough, alas! none ever mines.
And we have been on many thousand lines,
And we have shown, on each, spirit and power;
But hardly have we, for one little hour,
Been on our own line, have we been ourselves–
Hardly had skill to utter one of all
The nameless feelings that course through our breast,
But they course on for ever unexpress’d.
And long we try in vain to speak and act
Our hidden self, and what we say and do
Is eloquent, is well–but ’tis not true!
And then we will no more be rack’d
With inward striving, and demand
Of all the thousand nothings of the hour
Their stupefying power;
Ah yes, and they benumb us at our call!
Yet still, from time to time, vague and forlorn,
From the soul’s subterranean depth upborne
As from an infinitely distant land,
Come airs, and floating echoes, and convey
A melancholy into all our day.
Only–but this is rare–
When a beloved hand is laid in ours,
When, jaded with the rush and glare
Of the interminable hours,
Our eyes can in another’s eyes read clear,
When our world-deafen’d ear
Is by the tones of a loved voice caress’d–
A bolt is shot back somewhere in our breast,
And a lost pulse of feeling stirs again.
The eye sinks inward, and the heart lies plain,
And what we mean, we say, and what we would, we know.
A man becomes aware of his life’s flow,
And hears its winding murmur; and he sees
The meadows where it glides, the sun, the breeze.
And there arrives a lull in the hot race
Wherein he doth for ever chase
That flying and elusive shadow, rest.
An air of coolness plays upon his face,
And an unwonted calm pervades his breast.
And then he thinks he knows
The hills where his life rose,
And the sea where it goes.

You can’t apply a single strategy to all situations. Sometimes y you have to be a fierce motherfucker. Sometimes you have to suckle on nipples and feel all warm and cozy. Sometime you react, sometimes you proact, sometimes you do nothing.

Julian,
With a lot of folks, telling them to practice inner game alone is putting the cart before the horse. Their whole problem with women is a lack of confidence. Teach them outer game and they learn a little confidence. They pick up some girls and they learn a little more. Eventually they internalize their game and become true alphas.
Trouble with inner game based approaches is that they require for many a full personality change This can take a long time before results can be seen with girls.
And if you don’t want to use female insecurities to your advantage, then you’re facing a life sentence of betadom. In the battle of the sexes, you must carry your spear

To me, the perfect worldview would be a fusion of the philosophy of Dr. William Luther Pierce with that of Dr. Anton Szandor LeVay. For me, the Epicurean spirit and the Faustian spirit fit together well and this combination propels one toward greatness.
I find that very very few can grasp, accept, and practice such a way of perceiving and dealing with the world and themselves. Even most of those who do “get it” don’t dare publicly admit it or live it, for fear of very clearing setting themselves apart from the multitudes. So be it.
Perhaps, you just have to have the right stuff in you, and that stuff is not present in the vast majority of “humanity”.
They feel the need to live as if by the direction and laws of external deities…deities that men much like them first imagined into being. But I believe the future truly lies (as it always has) in the hands of those few who can truly know in their heart “I am my own God”, and live accordingly.

Agreed, “being an Oak Tree” is hardly mastery, but it’s also hardly rudimentary. At the risk of contradicting myself, “mastery” is somewhat of an illusion anyway. It would suggest you have nothing more to learn, though I did try to qualify myself by saying “nearly”.
Still, it takes a certain amount of life experience with, and learning from, dealing with manipulation and other experiences, to be an “Oak Tree”. It’s well known that these manipulative behaviors are not exclusive to females or our private lives.
Depending on the individual, it may be overkill to relegate this kind of life experience to a rudimentary portion of a small piece of a first step.

Good points. Alot of guys hate on game; they don’t know any better.
They’ve been brainwashed on the “the stars will align and you’ll meet your perfect soulmate” mythology; its an integral part of their psyche- it’s the equivelent of religious doctrine in their minds- they automatically and subconsciously obey without thought; the cultural zeitgeist has programmed them so that they automatically expirence emotional revulsion towards actions that run contrary to the “passively await your soulmate” programming. Forethought and strategizing, in the romantic world, are the emotional equivelent to sins to them. (And serve largely the same purpose- namely to give power and control to other people- whether women or those with power already).
To draw an analogy- these men (if you really want to call them that) have been told, since they were children, that they way that you should win a game of chess is by randomly moving pieces. Lose alot of games? Well then obviously you weren’t playing against the person you were “destined” to win against.
They’re worse then oblivious when it comes to realizing that that forethought and strategy would win them many more games against many more players then blindly moving moving pieces around. Even worse is that they can’t seem to realize that winning, and the process of winning by seeing your strategies bear fruit, is far more fun then constantly losing (or occassionally winning) by random chance.
Or- to get back to Chateau’s original point:
Game is the juicer to the orange of life. Wealth is the ice. Health is the glass.

Too many men look for rules for being Alpha- and then blindly follow them. They don’t realize that all actions and attitude require context.
Most of the time a Silverback is aloof- life is good and small things don’t bother him.
Aloof is great- provided the right context.
Slap a silverback in the face- he wouldn’t be aloof, he’d be in a violent rage.
Violent rage is great- provided the right context.
Undertaking to reprogram your subconscious to “alphaness” is far more useful then memorizing a bunch of rules. Once your mind is aligned with the alpha essence your emotional impulses will push you into the alpha decision regardless of what context you find yourself in.

Don’t confuse Alpha with sociopath.
Sociopath is, by definition, someone who is incapable of emotional empathy; you can be a Sociopath and still be a beta and a loser.
An Alpha (by men’s standards) is one willing to look after his own selfish interests even if they conflict with someone elses.
You can be Alpha and selfish- while still feeling pity for the fools whose throats you slit on the way to the top.

Creative and insightful definition. I’m liking.
Also, interesting ideas about why people hate on game. Cognitive dissonance between the cultural programing of passively stumbling into romance and the training of knowing what you want and actively getting it by all means possible.
I think it’s a bit more than that. There is a sexual hangup aspect, where sex is somehow not a dignified goal, and there is also a deeply beta internalization that manipulating the will of others is seen as disrespectful.
And Julian, I appreciate that you’ve appreciated some of my comments in the past. I’ve been writing for three years here, and those who’ve read enough of my comments are aware of my style of occasionally being undiplomatic and immoderate, to the point of appearing antisocial. That seems to be part of my insight process – cutting through the bullshit with a bloody chainsaw, no apologies for the severed heads. I’m not asking you to like it, and I don’t much care if you do or don’t. Very few people here don’t get my chainsaw treatment from time to time.
You say you are not anti game, but I see that you are. You think internal game is in moral opposition to external game. You dislike social manipulation. Anti game.
And NYC, I agree with your implied idea that this whole trust in the will of God meme is deeply beta. Personally I find it disgustingly passive and irresponsible. I can understand that people can be wary of getting what they want – isn’t that the theme of 50% of childrens cartoon shows and sit-coms? If you get what you want it will bite you in the ass in the end? You’d think people would notice the other option of gradually refining your inner compass of want to a genuine true north, and using to successfully steer your life. But no, people don’t want to be responsible for having a rudder. They leave the big decisions up to fate and their other managers and superiors.

Julian and others here have talked about following excellence and personal passion to achieve an inner confidence as well as outward superiority.
That is PART of maintaining an alpha frame. The authority of excellence. The other is maintaining a frame of selfishness, assuming that your personal authority is the authority. And doing so successfully. Being a manager over others.

Off topic reminder of the weird and hidden mysteries of the female mind. My frigid hot girlfriend was thumbing through my cellphone while I was in the shower, and read messages from my other main girl. “Daddy, I love you and miss you, can I visit tomorrow?” “Daddy, I miss you fucking me” etc.
I let her have her little cry while I went to the gym, after which we had the best sex yet. Still pretty lousy, relative to great sex, but the best yet. We went out to replace her lost USB filled with treasured pictures of the two of us, and grabbed dinner. She held my hand the whole time. And then more sex.
Actually that girl is not my girlfriend. Originally she was a virgin holding out for marriage, and I planned to marry her, but I’ve since broken up with her. She hasn’t broken up with me though, so that book of man rules that we all get insists that I have to keep fucking her, if fucking her is on my terms. No choice.
Point is – girls don’t break up with you for having more than one lover. Not right away once already bonded – you can keep them in your orbit for nearly as long as you’d want to anyway, and for nearly as long as you could if you were not seeing other girls.
