Obama’s post-blood libel “Let’s move past the hate that was completely generated by my side” speech which sent tingles up Rich Lowry’s khakied pants is a classic example of triangulation. Obama nods and winks for a few days as his ideological allies go on the offense smearing their political and cultural enemies, and then emerges from the fray to deliver an impassioned call for unity and civility, thus positioning himself as the savior with the efflorescent halo who can bridge the divide and turn those frowns upside down. Naturally, this bridging involves a lot of government largesse and leftist cultural brainwashing.
Is Obama a better triangulator than Clinton was? That remains to be seen, but there is no denying that triangulation is effective psy ops on the mediocre masses. Expect Obama’s poll numbers to jump and open borders amnesty to receive a modest osmotic boost in support.
If the right ever wants to win at this game they need to get it through their thick skulls that the way to victory is through the game concept of framing. Frame the debate, win the hearts and minds. Take a page from the Alinsky school for radical revolution: the best defense is a good offense.
Whenever these cultural blow-ups occur, the right is always left reeling on its heels, in the defensive posture. They need a little more of that irrational confidence and lack of scruples that the left has in spades. They need to be more proactively mischievous. Instead, the right continually plays the role of the qualifying girl to the leftist PUA. That’s a great way to get screwed, but doesn’t do much for avoiding pump and dumps.
This is one of the many reasons why Palin generates so much hate. She may not be the brightest bulb, but she knows how to set the terms of the conversation, and this drives the left insane, accustomed as they are to wielding the cultural bullhorn.
The right also needs to learn to deal with a media industrial complex that is almost wholly a propaganda arm of the left wing and Democrat party. Limbaugh and Fox have their followers, but in the scheme of things they are kazoos against the buzzsaw din that echoes from Hollywood, TV, the music biz, academia, the education racket, news organs, government, NGOs and workplace reeducation camps, all run to a great extent by leftist ruling class elites. This saturation megaphone may not conspire in the traditional sense of the word, but they coordinate by instinct, like fire ants converging on an El Paso picnicker.
Once the right grasps the fact of this stacked deck and what it means for them, they will understand that, despite Obama’s calculated call for unity, the left never intends to play cricket with them. Not as long as that bullhorn stays glued to their lips. The right can get its own bullhorn, but that doesn’t solve the problem; they need to learn to ignore, mock, satirize and NEG, in equal measure, the bleatings of the enemy’s bullhorn. And before that they need to pin their foes against the wall with their own brand of accusatory self-serving righteousness. In other words, set the frame.
It’s odd at first glance that a tiny cadre of high IQ elites can direct the national conversation with such precision, but it starts to make sense when you realize that most people want to be led by a strong band of alpha males. The apolitical middle will heed the hatchet job of the Associated Press and the siren lies of humanities professors and maudlin TV documentaries, and they will fall in line, and wearily assume the problem is now in capable hands and with people who have honest intentions. Meanwhile, the nation dissolves in an acid bath of deceit, a victim of its elite’s facility with psychological manipulation.
Game has taught me to see the unacknowledged, and often unperceived, machinations that govern the behavior of men and women. Not surprisingly, it has also allowed me to see the underlying forces that animate the political sphere, for that sphere is merely a subset contained within the larger sexual market.

easiest way to change someone’s view point to your own? just ask, “do you want the truth or do you want me to agree with you?” everyone responds that they want the truth, which implies that their personal view is wrong. the shift is subtle, but very effective.

It’s why Reagan was hated too; he could laugh at the left and make jokes about them, and talk directly to the people without letting the left set the frame. No one since has been able to do that. Bush, McCain, Dole: those guys were all too much part of the left’s frame to even recognize the need to step outside it. Palin can circumvent it a little, which is why she’s so feared.

Overall, this post seems to be a sighing concession that Barack Obama will win reelection. That you had to use the ridiculously generous “not the brightest bulb” euphemism for Sarah Palin tells me that you know the GOP is fucked this cycle.
But what you don’t seem to be preparing yourself for is that, after Obama wins, the lesson that the GOP will learn is not that didn’t go on offense and attack enough, its that it doesn’t know how to pick its battles smartly and strategically.
The GOP’s been teabagged in a bad way, and only after a sobering failure in 2012 will it revamp, ditch people like Palin and refocus itself in a fiscal-and-foreign policy libertarian slash “neutral in social issues” type of modern republicanism that urban professionals and the middle-aging, brood-toting SWPL-set will be more open to.

Agree or disagree, her immediate post-9II column went for the kill. I haven’t read her books but if you accept Auster’s judgment, “Godless” is a work of intellectual substance.
Other mainstream rightie figures have their problems.
– Ron Paul is old, and too narrow in his libertarian focus.
– Rush is too much of a GOP cheerleader and he failed to ever treat immigration with any seriousness.
– Glen Beck is a weepy MLK worhipper; regardless of whether that’s a good or bad thing, his sad-sack rally played right into the left’s frame.
– Palin has many good things going for her, but she’s a feminist, and likely easy meat for neoconnization, W-style, should she get elected.
– Christine O’Donnel doesn’t appear strong enough to survive the left’s destruction machine.
– Mainstream GOP politicians are either little more than anti-abortion liberals (Brownback, Huckabee), Neocons (McCain), or wonks (Romney).

The fight will always be eternal because liberalism is a religion. Public school teaches this religion because conservatives allow lefties to pretend lefties are not a “church” while conservatives are labeled such and thus constitutionally separated from “state”and thus tax money to perpetuate certain ideas.
Until conservatives are willing to eradicate the notion of themselves as the “religious right” as well as declare liberalism a “cult” the ship will continue to sink. It wasn’t till 2007 that a prominent conservative finally figured out that lefties are just a godless religion, but still a religion nevertheless. That a religion gets so much stated funding receives little focus from the tards of the RNC.
Even if you got rid of all government, save the education department… America still would have major issues. I’m not a fan of big government, but government size is less of a problem than the liberalization of that size.

Anne Coulter will never be taken seriously as a leading figure of the right for a number of reasons not least of which is that she’s a vaudevillian spectacle.
Most news personalities will indulge her before dismantling her shrill, spiteful, and bombastic act, because that’s what she’s there for, to play a foil. By contrast, Limbaugh never directly engages, because he doesn’t want to be embarrassed as often as Coulter is.
Hers is a terrible visage to represent a traditionalist movement.
She’s like a sex and the city character — aging, single, urban-dwelling, banking on an ever-diminishing cougar appeal — combined with an off-putting mean streak and the preternatural neediness of a career media-whore.

There’s obviously a lucrative market for this gig, no doubt about it. Hell, Glenn Beck has upped the ante on the crazy just to increase his market share.
But what we’re talking about is not who is making bank, but who’s actions are helping rather than marginalizing the right wing, especially as it pertains to elections and power.
Roissy correctly stated that no force as often or consistently dictates the outcomes of elections more than the general state of the economy, and that the party in power is almost universally punished when the economy is bad, whether it deserves blame or not.
Assuming that the economy will be perceivably better by November 2012, the GOP will need somebody that can give voters — particularly independents — a reason to oust the incumbent president when things are in an upswing.
You won’t find that person citing or celebrating an endorsement of Ann Coulter, that’s for damn sure.

A couple of things have been itching my curiosity. One is the regularly repeated idea the Palin is not very smart. I have looked around for evidence to support that assertion and what I find is either repetitions of the assertion or citations for statements or behavior that someone else made or did. How is Palin not very smart? Evidence, please?
It is an idea that appears to be hanging, miraculously, in space with now visible means of support. It is weird. It is incoherent.
The other issue is character. The last couple of years have exhibited a non stop character assassination onslaught against Palin and her family. I put it to anyone to name a single individual in this country that faced with the same who could be able to survive or even flourish. This, too, is out of the ordinary. In fact, part of the driving force for the attacks on her seems to be that instead of withering away, Palin, yes, stupid, incompetent Palin, is somehow, from her pitiful little hide out in nowhereseville, AK, controlling the discussion. The concepts don’t jibe. This is not a stupid or weak person, based on the results.
I think folks taking a position that Palin is a dummy need to recheck their bearings.

So, when a new national GOP figure comes along, the left has a quick choice to make: do we tell the people this person is evil or stupid? Easy call with Palin. Hard to portray a mom as evil in the land of mom-and-apple-pie. But on the other hand, the left truly thinks women (like all minorities) are stupid anyway; that’s why they need so much help. I too am sick of the namby-pamby, panzy-ass way conservatives act when given an opportunity to attack liberals directly. The brutal reality is that liberals hate conservatives because liberals think all coservatives are hateful racists, and it doesn’t take much to get your average liberal to admit that out loud. In light of that, it boggles my mind how, day after day, many conservatives actually try and discuss the issues rationally and respectfully with these people. I mean, come on! One of the fundamental rules of debate is that all parties must respect each other enough to acknowledge their own positions could be proven wrong. Liberals don’t acknowledge this, therefore it is impossible to enter into a constructive debate with them. We cannot convince them, because to them we’re scum. So all the other issues they pretend to “discuss” with us are just pretense, covering up their real beef with us. What’s the solution? In my opinion, you start calling them on this. You rag on it, and rag on it, and get them to publicly admit it as much as possible. The more emotional and vile they get about it the better, because in doing so they’ll undermine any legitimacy to any other arguments they may have about anything else. Eventually, within-group disagreements and seething racial resentments will cause them to attack one another until they’re disorganized, demoralized and exhausted. This is a war, goddammit, and not even the threat of social unrest should deter us from winning it.

Conservatives tend to dislike him, though, since he walked many Reagan policies, and left Iraq without toppling Saddam. I agree with you, though, about every other GOP president since Eisenhower.
Past the presidency, it doesn’t really hold. Scott Brown, Mitt Romney, Schwarzenegger, Rob Simmons, Snow/Collins – centrists escape the stupid/evil dichotomy. Romney and Schwarzenegger, as a bonus, are pretty high profile, in the top echelons of their party, publicity wise.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704307404576080391479851536.html
The contrast between what each de facto leading figure of either party expressed is profound and will solidify what the electorate thinks and feels about them leading into 2012.
Obama has gravitas, Palin has complaints.
If she doesn’t like being unfairly attributed as inspiring crazed would-be assassins, then she shouldn’t have made “don’t retreat, reload!” her ham-handed political slogan.
If she can’t handle being unfairly maligned then she shouldn’t be in politics, period. Like life, it ain’t fair.
Its truly pathetic that the woman who coined “death panels” from the safety of facebook can’t handle a little opportunistic piling-on from the other side. And this weakling thinks she’s fit to lead men? No way.
You don’t see Obama delivering 8-minute long lamentations about how uncool it is that some people on the internet say he’s Kenyan-Muslim-Indonesian-Manchurian. He doesn’t sweat the small stuff — you know, the bullshit.
He ignores it, and that’s exactly what Palin should’ve done.
Now she’s fucked herself twice over.

Excellent post by Roissy!
Quite right about framing. Now, the question that should follow from understanding this truth is “why doesn’t the right actually do that?” Ask that question honestly, diligently seek out the answer, and you will find out the hard truth why “the right” will never be a source of salvation for most White Americans.
Hint: “the right” does what it does because of who they are and what their primary interests are. They ARE NOT like most White Americans, and they DO NOT share enough of the primary interests that most White Americans have.
Seek out those “like you” and who have a great deal of common primary interests if you are looking for a genuine source for salvation. All others shouldn’t even be considered your fellow countrymen until they have proven themselves to have enough common interests, common characteristics, and common goals.
In the midst of this Balkanization and intense scramble for power and control over everything and everyone in the world—you need to be sure that those “like you” and prepared and engaged for the greatest kick-ass conquista of all time.
Master or slave—the choice is up to you, and you make that choice through your decisions and the actions flowing from those decisions. Don’t let “the right” decide for you, or you’ll get their agenda. Hey Non-Christians, if you don’t like the idea of being burned at the stake for insufficient displays of piety and your “sinful” sexual habits, you might want to think twice about getting into bed with “the right” and helping them to power. Any asshole that comes “in the name of God” to dictate to me is going to get a quick and dirty trip to hell. If their religious orthodoxy (right or left) could possibly be interpreted to declare you to be a “sinner”. BEWARE of what would come should they achieve the power to impose their will upon you. Duh…of course they will use it that crap in their religion/ideology against you, just like men have done time and time again over the ages. THEY all play the “like me” game, and you know what they do to those not “like me” when they get power. Why don’t YOU play the “like me” game, and give yourself a real fucking chance to win for a change?
Do you realize that every time you fail to join and build and fight for those “like you’, you are basically saying “go ahead, fuck me over and take everything I have; I’m not important, I’m worthless, and I will not effectively resist you who are not like me”?
Roissy made an excellent point about the fact that it’s not so much about explicit “conspiracy’ as much as it is a rational and instinctual behavior on the part of those “not like you” to collaborate and/or strike against those who do not have the same characteristics and interests.
To understand anything that happens or could happen in the realm of human affairs, ask a) “who are they”, and b) “who benefits”. That will bring the real picture home to you in crystal-clear HD! Sadly, even amongst people “like you”, this informed clarity is too much for most people to grasp, and they will prefer comfortable delusions to it 99 times out of 100—and you can multiply that tragic truth a few times over when dealing with Whitey (comfort and ruling the roost for so long made him soft, stupid, and in delusional denial that “things are still OKAY today”). Nothing irks me more than to find that even very intelligent Whites can’t allow themselves to fathom the real world of inevitable necessary struggle between different interest groups, and then to find non-Whites who are easily able to affirm a deep understanding of this obvious fact of life. Whitey scratches his head because he just can’t grasp why various African tribes “hate” and slaughter each other, but damn near every African knows why it happens and is not surprised. Who’s living in the real world and making a fight for those “like themselves”, and who’s bullshitting themselves out of existence?

Western Civilization was a conspiracy between alpha females and beta males to restrict alpha male seed to the alpha fem, thereby spreading the reproductive wealth to the beta males. The Sexual Devolution bringing that civilization down was brought to you by alpha males/beta fems who initially confused many alpha fems into playing along.
They’ve since wised up.
The “right” today are those who defend that civilization – the beta white knights who always have and the alpha fems who have returned to the fold.
There was a time that Western uber-alphas (from Odysseus in myth to Washington to Churchill) defended it as well, recognizing that sharing the genetic wealth created the kinds of armies that could optimize their own. The time has come to do so again.

It’s true the republicans didnt do anyting conservative when they get in power precisely because they are conservatives in name only, since the underlying frame (that is social values of the power structures and institutions of importance) are all “progressive” and liberal in nature, they haven’t done anything and wouldnt be able to get anything done even if they wanted to, IMHO most republicans are just liberals who lean conservative on a few critical issues (usually bombing foreign nations, defense spending, hating muslims) and the the few true conservative/ traditionalist/ libertarians are either too afraid to rock the boat and screw their career, prestige, pocketbook, chances of reelection or can’t get anything done due to the underlying adverse political and social climate.

This is weird. I thought this is what you and your ilk wants all along: killing of liberals. If one reads/listen to the vitriolic statements and violent rhetorics from the rightwing. You should be proud. Instead you are claiming the killer is a liberal, and then crying that liberals attacks you for being poisonous. I mean, isnt this what you want all along? To kill those pussy/open-border/minority loving libruls?
Now that you got it in mr Loughner, you are doing two things:
(1)Claiming that loughner is a liberal–essentially disowning him(i was expecting him to be praised to the high heavens with the supposedly gun toting republicans co-opting him as their own)
(2)that liberals are blaming conservatives for it unfairly.(i am shocked by that–i was expecting the gun toting conservatives to be proud of murdering liberals)
What does this really say?
Simply: all your wet fantasy of a white revolution this or that will never happen. You and your ilk simply do not have the stomach for it. The minute one or three people are killed by some conservatives, the entire nation will seriously turn against you. You are trying to fight a war that has already been lost during the american civil war. Then, the odds are much, much, much in your favour. And you still lost.
And you know the worse part about the present times we all live in? You and your ilk will run away from any such nasty incident like a scared cat to quickly claim that those killers are liberals or crazy or something else.
To put it another way: you do not have the courage of your conviction. Where and when it matters –when the tire hit the road–you are simply found wanting.
You and your ilk, paper tiger — all of you.

Most, if not all, are missing the point.
Well, first, to the couple of leftard a-holes who posted here, like this chump:
“Yes, yes, it’s not surprising that all these calls for unity, cooperation, and toning down of raging bs rhetoric is driving conservatives crazy. Seriously, if conservatives were pressured into having to speak calmly and rationally, what would they even say? When in the last 20 years has a republican even attempted it? That’s the only trick they know.
I love how it’s the democrats’ fault somehow that a democrat got shot in the head.”
Fuck you, but, thank you.
Thank you for helping to illustrate the post’s point about framing.
See, what Joe Left here is doing is what they constantly do. They are establishing a meme, framing the situation; evidence, logic be damned, because it is the only way they can win. Having to actually argue the point, having to prove the right is unhinged as compared to the left is impossible, based on the evidence, so one simply plows through and asserts their own reality. Logic can go fuck itself as far as they are concerned, because it does not serve The Party.
Let’s take this sentence by sentence, shall we? It’s really clever when you look at it.
“Yes, yes, it’s not surprising that all these calls for unity, cooperation, and toning down of raging bs rhetoric is driving conservatives crazy.”
FRAME: Conservatives are the ones who have been displaying a foaming, insane rage this week, not the Left. The right are the ones who can’t stand calls for toning down rhetoric. The Left has been comporting itself with complete rationality and fairness.
“Seriously, if conservatives were pressured into having to speak calmly and rationally, what would they even say?”
FRAME: Look, we ALL KNOW conservatives are NEVER able to speak calmly and rationally, like say Paul Krugman, Andrew Sullivan and the fine writers at Daily Kos, so let’s not even bother to listen or read anything the Right might have to say, because, really, its a waste of time.
“When in the last 20 years has a republican even attempted it?”
FRAME : Let’s look at their record, not at ours, because they are obviously the one needing to defend their record, right? And 20 years is a good time frame, because if we look TOO far back, like say to the 60’s and 70’s, we were into some particularly crazy shit that might undermine our point…ALOT.
“That’s the only trick they know.”
FRAME : The right only uses tricks, and they are so stupid, they have only one. The Left? We NEVER use tricks of any kind. Please ignore that Alinksy text tatooed on my schmeckle.
Let’s take the last line:
“I love how it’s the democrats’ fault somehow that a democrat got shot in the head.”
This is, in its own way, BRILLIANT!
First, check the firm assertion that because it was a Democrat that was shot, it CANNOT be that a democrat could in ANY way be involved.
Why is that exactly?
What universal law makes it a complete impossibility that someone registered as a democrat might actually shoot another democrat in the head? (Apparently the poster leaves open the possibility for Dem on Dem violence targeting other parts of the body.)
Fucked if I know, but the poster doesn’t bother explaining it either. He just claims it, and moves on. He’s right because he’s Left, dammit!
But, the really clever thing about it is how it pivots on the Left-wing rhetoric we’ve had to endure for the last goddamn week that it was Republican/Right Wing rhetoric that caused the massacre.
See, its ridiculous to even THINK that maybe something a democrat might have done could have in ANYWAY contributed to the massacre. Why, this sentence says, that is completely INSANE to even ponder. IT IS NOT EVEN UP FOR DISCUSSION. Got it? Good.
But, it also, says, it has been Democrats who have had to suffer the outrageous slings and arrows of accusations this past week. Oh, how unfair all this condemnation the Democrats have had to endure!
This shit is pure Ju-Jitsu, baby!
THIS is the kind of shit the Left is pulling on EVERYONE else, not just the Right, all the goddamn time. They are fucking Jedi Masters at it.
Now, if you don’t really give a shot about politics, then I assumed you’ve already moved on.
If you are pissed because Citizen Renegade is talking politics, then at the risk of repeating myself, YOU ARE MISSING THE POINT OF THE GODDAMN BLOG. Re-read the past entries, from the beginning, then come back here. It ain’t all about you dipping your wick.
If you are interested in politics, and are not among the living brain dead of the Left, then this is why this is important.
The Left is out to fuck you over, be ye’ social conservative, fiscal conservative, Libertarian, Moderate, or even somewhat conservative democrat. NONE of you ultimately are down with their program, and as such, you are IN THE WAY. If you are IN THE WAY, they consider you THE ENEMY, and will fucking crush you with whatever means neccessary.
Circular firing squads over Rush Limbaugh, Anne Coulter, Glenn Beck, Palin, gives them wood. They WANT you to be focusing on them, fighting about them. They DON’T want you looking them over because they know you won’t like what you see.
WhatEVER their individual faults or failings, all of those people stand up to the Left wing and take a shitload of incoming fire for doing so. If this week has demonstrated ANYTHING, it is that the Left is completely without scruples, morality or shame when it comes to slugging shit out.
Don’t let them frame things that it’s all about us, which is collectively everyone but them. Make them justify their mountain of bullshit and mouth-foamers, because their shtick tends to end in gulags and liquidations.
Don’t let yourselves be played, dammit!

In what sense are they even Left any more? Are they not our ancien regime? Our illegitimate marriage of altar (academedia) and throne (big gummint)?
Left and Right mean different things over time even if their core philosophical principles are consistent. In today’s socio-democratic context, the Left is associated with an alliance of transnational ruling classes with bottom-classes, in a vote-buing arrangements. The elites transfer money and other comforts from the productive middle classes to the often crimnal and parasitic bottom, in exchange for their votes.
This creates a feedback-loop of more socialism (good for the bottom classes and the government elites) and more mobility of capital (good for corporate elites, since the value of labor is depressed and more people are buing their trinkets). Cultural issues like religion and nationhood are battlegrounds, as the Left seeks to flatten various distinctions among the mass of humanity, and the Right seeks to preserve them.
The Right is associated with the middle classes and traditional institutions that sustain them. They are the exploited proletariat.
If any of that is not reason enough to oppose the left, there is one more reason: Leftism destroys female beauty via indiscriminate migration of peoples and incentives toward dygsenic procreation.
Conservatism will be regulated to the fringes of society. It’s an inefficient system and train of thought.
The fatal flaw with Leftism is that it devours itself.

Many conservatives did, and didn’t like what they saw. Hence the mea culpas of leading Congressional Republicans over the last several months. They know the hounds are at their backs.
I think GWB got a break in his first term because the war was raging and many conservatives didn’t wish to hammer him too much on top of left’s attacks. That all changed in the second term, with Harriet Myers and then the failed Amnesty. That was the resurgence of conservatism in the US.
The economic situation in the US will make conservatism an easier sell over the next several election cycles, at least in certain crucial aspects.

Jared Loughner isn’t a conservative, but he should be according to everything I’ve been told. He’s not, but he is because he SHOULD be.”
Perception is reality. They have no interest in finding an objective truth that may puncture the cocoon they’ve wrapped themselves in. Conservatives cannot fathom that sort of existence. We try, but we can’t comprehend dwelling in the darkest depths of delusion. Does this mean conservatives are always right? No. But they have the ability to adjust their perceptions to the truth more readily than the run-of-the-mill liberal. That is why Nixon had to resign while Clinton got away scot free. I generally agree with you. We might argue on specific individuals, but the Right is too frequently cowed by the weight of fire coming from the Left, because the Left, despite its whining about talk radio/Fox News/etc, still has a lock on the mass of the culture, and is much better at propaganda.
That is why Political Correctness, for one, is so insidious. It sets up artificial boundaries on discussion that close off entire avenues of inquiry.
What the Right always forgets is that they are not in some sort of debate society with the Left. The Left WILL NOT concede any point that challenges their world view. They will have absolutely no rules placed on them as to conduct, even as they place rules on how everyone else is to conduct themselves. They will not respect facts, or logic when either contradicts their ideology, and will resort to any sort of tactic to wriggle their way out.
The Right needs to understand the Left is always trying to rig the game, and they need to mercilessly called out and mocked over it. Trying to engage their arguments with logic won’t win you the battle alone. You need a one-two combo of:
“Here’s why you’re wrong!”
“And here’s why you’re a schmuck!”
“Here’s why you’re wrong!”
“And here’s how you’re a fucking hypocrite!”
The biggest reason that Palin, Coulter, Rush, Beck, etc, get such venom thrown at them is not they are never wrong, or that they never take something a little far.
The Left is almost always wrong, and they spew truly vile shit all the time, so that’s not the crime.
The reason why the Left hates them is that none of them are willing to back down and submit to the politically correct bullshit. In fact, they go right back at them, mocking them, calling them on their bullshit in no uncertain terms.
Too many on the Right, even when in the right, go scrambling with their tail between their legs when the “racist, homophobic, sexist, extremist” litany is thrown out. They dance to the fucking tune of the Left, even as they claim opposition, and the Left really loves them for it.
You know why Beck in particular pisses them off? I was not sure myself, but after having more than one argument with a Left wing coworker and him coming up, I watched him for a few weeks.
I don’t care what criticisms one has of the guy, he does one thing really well…
Have you ever seen Beck when he goes into his full tilt mocking mode of the Left?
He is vicious, and biting and I then realized why the Lefties go into full frothing mode over ONE guy doing a ONE hour show, M-F.
“He MOCKS us?! How can he mock US?! We’re the really, really smart people who get to mock other people! Stop it! STOP IT! WAHHHHHHHHH!”
The Left has been raised on a daily diet of feeling superior because the popular culture, the news media, academia told them so, and discounted anything not aligned with their beliefs as beneath contempt. They were taught the power of satire, and raised on Rules for Radicals, and everything was cool while they frolicked in their fantasy land.
“Are we not the most awesomest, bestest, smartest people evah?” they told one another.
And a chorus of drones sang back:
“Oh, yes, we are truly the shit!”
Anyone who tried to interrupt them was drowned out in the roar of self-congratulatory hosannas.
So, imagine how well and truly their mellow began to be harshed as more and more voices popped up all around them, ones not kissing their asses, singing their glories, but call them vain, vapid, stupid, destructive, selfish.
And then they began to hear the laughter. Derisive, mocking laughter, calling them buffoons for their tortured logic and fools for deluding themselves in a myriad ways.
Oh, can’t you imagine how horrifying that must have been? Can you imagine how ANGRY it would make them to have their whole self-image shredded?
Let me give you a hint:
Imagine the most humiliating experience you’ve ever felt, multiply it by 100, then imagine you were a pampered prick all your life leading right up to that moment.
The Left has been thrown off its lofty perch, and they are rabidly pissed about it, as this last week has amply shown. And in that, is a lesson.
The Right has always got to strive to keep logic and facts at the forefront of the debate, but when the Left tries to pull its shit, everyone’s got to yank on their chain and bring them to heel. It will knock them off-balance, and the fury it produces in them will cause them to overplay their hand, and reveal them for the fanatics they are.

Logic very rarely works on a liberal because they are operating from a different space…they’re working from an emotional standpoint, that is why you can get a liberal to sign onto virtually any kind of policy with the use of a tearful anecdote..it doesn’t matter that they’re supporting spending $1 trillion to “prevent” things that occur less frequently than being struck by lightening on your couch, all that is needed is that sad working mother/sick child case study. This is also why they’re often angry and simultaneously santctimoneous. They are emotionally, not logically, vested in their narrative, so challenging them gets an emotional reaction and their narrative is crafted so that they are the ‘good guy” and the savior…its a very powerful combination that is a lot less sexy than the conservative mantra of personal responsibility.
If you take a close look at the majority of progressive policies they’re almost all driven by emotion and by playing on the guilt of the more fortunate. We are truly living within the pages of Atlas Shrugged.

Leftists/”liberals” are by and large CONFORMISTS who want the world to repeat their experiences in 4th grade when they got atta girls and red starts for following orthodoxy.
If you look at the larger schemes of Leftists they all presume that once this or that is politicized — and Leftists call the shots — that morality has been lifted.
This gives them ‘major props’ as they climb the Maslovian pyramid. Most Leftist confabs are nothing more than validations — providing “loving and belonging” to the ‘proper’ thinkers.
With enough effort they can climb all the way up to “esteem.” Al Gore can’t get enough of that stuff. What a dummy. Check out his college daze. Talk about indulgence.
As for “Self Actualization” only the most evil, elite Leftists reach that highest of ground. Why? Leftism/Statism is ancient. Following the timeless script is hardly self-actualization.
———
One does notice a trend for extremely successful business types to shift Left. Leftism/Statism always concentrates power at the top. For Alpha business tycoons, who make and break rules at will, that’s their comfort zone.
Further, truly large businesses always seek to co-opt officialdom. So sucking up to vainglorious Beta-boobs — dominated by Democrat Gerrymander is a great public profile.
Buffett is a perfect case. BTW, the reason he’s in love with estate taxes is because that is his game. Such taxes drive very successful private corporations straight into his arms at EXTREMELY favorable prices. ( The Tax )
As for himself, his estate is extremely liquid, diverse and he intends to leave essentially nothing to his heirs. Warren LOVES the estate tax!
Similar hypocracy reeks all over Leftist-Corporatist America. GE is a bank and receives BILLIONS from the Fedsury. Goldman Sacks used Federal power to destroy Lehman and Bear Sterns, their only serious rivals. Soros grafts the Leftist elites — and receives insider trading intel worth billions.
That the Alphas on top are addicted to Leftism-Corporatism goes unremarked by the naive Leftist-Dependent voter.

The Woman’s Sufferage Movement now has us all suffering. The ballot is dominated by hamster-‘logic’ — hence the appeal to the emotion in every ‘Proposition’ I’ve ever read.

Obama is blowing smoke up the people’s asses with distracting social reform which really still benefits big business, while continuing with the corporatization of our government right where bush left off. Wow! Great post. Novel insights strung together in a beautiful tapestry of language. And this apparently isn’t even a political blog.
Roissy is exactly right as are several posters who noted the similarity to the tactics proposed by Ann Coulter.
Ann Coulter belongs to the right but when she fights she makes it personal just like the leftists do. If only more of the sane men repulsed by the fascist hordes of the left were to follow her every word, we’d be much farther along in the good fight.
Coulter understands rhetorical and political tactics.
When someone calls you a “son of bitch” the correct response is not “hey, my mother was a very fine woman”, but rather an escalation “listen, you son of pus-oozing $2 crack-whore…” If the situation doesn’t call for that — say the accuser doesn’t have the status to threaten your reputation — you turn your back on him and walk away.
But, please, please don’t have a debate about your own mom. That’s a debate that you lose before you start by accepting the wrong frame.
The correct framing here was to tie Obama to politicizing the tragedy. “Why oh why is OBAMA allowing his attack dogs to POLITICIZE a tragedy such as this”. “How can, he, the president and head of state, let this go on!”
Don’t let him hover above the fray playing this good cop, bad cop game — drag his deceitful ass into the mix. Give minute by minute reports on when and if Obama is going to rebuke Mathews or sheriff Barney DooLittle.
Have prominent, apolitical people on TV and radio being asked “Do you feel that Obama should personally ask the Arizona sheriff to lay off the politics?” or play the clips of the most unhinged hateful leftists and then wring your hands “my, oh, my how can Obama allow this to come from his side?”
Then more “objective” commentators could do their horserace analysis — “you know, Bill, I really think that OBAMA’s going to suffer if he doesn’t specifically call out the DEMOCRATS who are politicizing the tragedy.”
The other thing that absolutely needs to happen is for effective Democrats to be absolutely destroyed and their names drug through the mud. Witness the outrage prosecution of Tom Delay, a thoroughly decent man convicted on outrageously absurd and purely political charges.
As an Coulter points out, it was only after Monicagate that the Democrats realized that some of their very own little Frankensteins, such as the special prosecutor law and sexual harassment rules allowing fishing expeditions, might not be such a good idea after all.
Overall, things have gotten much better because the right now has a voice that it didn’t have in the past, but this voice needs to be used much more effectively by focusing on offense rather than defense.

One of the problems, and its a really problem, that the right has in terms of framing is that the MSM tilts left and they have tilted very far left since Obama’s presidential campaign.
I agree that the idea of “why is the president letting his party attack the GOP for this tragedy” would have been a good place to start, it would probably have resulted in a WH statement that said ‘no we’re not’ and the WH calling off their attack dogs. But, it also could have backfired and turned into “GOP tries to draw Obama into tragedy for political reasons”
I can’t agree that Tom Delay is a good guy, he doesn’t deserve 3 years in prison for what amounts to an accounting gimmick, but he was a terrible speaker if you are a real consevative and care(d) about fiscal solvency and keeping the federal govenrment in check.
The sad truth is the GOP has only seen a resurgence as a result of the Democrats mistakes, nothing really they’ve done on their own, and that is a very bad sign, both that the GOP learned something with the defeat and are capable of rising to the occassion.

Again, this site ALWAYS had a political aspect to it, mike. Take the time to put BOTH hands on the keyboard, and read through the site from it’s start.
Second, this is not Right against Left, as I pointed out. It is Left against everybody who won’t submit to their bullshit agenda.
The Right has got its faults. I accept that social conservatives bear some responsibility for perpetuating the power grab by women in society, for example.
I also do not agree with all this site’s conclusions in the societal/political sphere.
But the while Right comes under continual criticism and attack, the Left has managed to insulate itself from responsibility for the cluster-fucks it continually wreaks. They can literally pile up corpses to mountainous heights, and without blinking an eye, accuse everyone of being murderous pigs.
That has led them to be arrogant, power grabbing assholes, and they were already totalitarians at heart to begin with.
Oh, and the “militia” comment…Very feminist style shaming tactic. Anytime people 2 or more people complain about the Left’s bullshit antics, they are a “militia”.
OOooh! Scary!! Boo!
Thanks for again confirming by point, by parroting the same kind of slanderous fiction that we’ve seen played out over the past week.
Criticism of the Left is NEVER valid. Got that, everyone? If you disagree with anything they say, you are a racist, homophobic, sexist, terrorist, gun toting mass murderer.

The problem is that he was targeted for being a conservative, his reputation smeared in the media and then finally he’s been forced to face prosecution and imprisonment for his politics.
We are well into a very dangerous environment where political prosecutions of conservatives (Rush Limbaugh, Tom Delay, Scooter Libby, Roy Samson, etc) are tolerated while high-profile Democrats get away with tax evasion, bribery and even genuine money-laundering (the old fashioned kind based on proceeds of a crime) and unfortunately, the situation isn’t going to improve until it happens to Democrats.
I was extremely annoyed when Delay said “all the fat has been cut from the budget”, but we can’t afford to only defend those who are perfectly ideal in their politics.

Africa for the Africans, Asia for the Asians, White countries for EVERYONE!
White people are supposed to accept that they have no right to pursue their own political, cultural, and economic interests. Whites are told that they must live in a state of total “tolerance,” while everybody else (Blacks, Hispanics, Jews, Muslims, Asians, etc) are free to live by tribal rule-sets.
Whites are blamed for every act of evil in history, but, if they attempt to defend themselves from these accusations, are then told that Whites (as a people) don’t even exist. Whites are nothing but a “social construct.” So Whites are blamed as “white” for events in history but denied this same identity when they attempt to present their own narrative.
To atone for their evil history, Whites must celebrate their own demise (“diversity is strength”) and accept mass immigration from the “developing world” into White countries and only White counties! Whites must then “assimilate” these immigrants into their communities, schools, work places, churches, and genetic material.
Whites are given no choice regarding this program of forced diversity. They must accept forced diversity from the “developing world” and are not allowed to even discuss pursuing their own group interests.
What this is is genocide by forced assimilation (Or genocide by forced diversity).
Of course, anyone who opposes this program of genocide by forced assimilation/diversity is a “racist,” and therefore “ANAZIWHOWANTSTOKILLSIXMILLIONJEWS.”
It’s important to understand that the anti-White rhetoric you hear in the media is part of a larger system of anti-Whiteness. The future in this anti-White system is obliteration by forced assimilation and the end of a world where progress and hope exists (the world will move into darkness if the light of the world is extinguished). The media system (within the larger anti-White system) has the role of creating a mythology which portrays White people (especially White men) as the enemies of humanity. The purpose of the mythology is to program White people into celebrating their own obliteration by forced diversity.
The latest shooting incident was used for this purpose. It doesn’t matter what was true or not about the shooter, the only thing that mattered was that it could be used to create an anti-White mythology for the purpose of force assimilating White communities, schools, places of world, religious houses, and genetic material with the “developing world.”
The people who call Whites “racist” claim they are “anti-racist.”
What they are is anti-White.
“Anti-racism” is a code for anti-White.

My grandmother was a hyper-active Democrat for FDR. She, like you, projected every manner of nasty motivation onto Repubs. Did she know any Repubs, socially? NO! Once she discovered any such affiliation she’d exclude them.
Naturally, during the 64 election Goldwater was equated with the devil… and she was absolutely mystified that a second political party was legally permitted.
Your post is pure projection.
The idea that either party is a collection of saints or naves comes only from a small mind. Neither party is anything more than the aggregate flux of political opinion across millions of souls.
As for bitter clinging: no one clings more that a government dependent to their monthly stipend.
If I were out in rural America, dang sure I’d have a rifle. The cops are normally an hour away. Some crazy stuff happens. There’s a legal case in British Columbia bubbling though the courts. Three attackers firebombed a farm residence during the MJ harvest. The homeowner drove them off with a wheel gun firing over their heads. 22 minutes later the fire truck and cop showed up. Naturally the homeowner is up on charges: unsafe use of a fire arm while under an arson attack from Molotov cocktails!

Cause and effect is the other way with the media.
1. The product of the news media is not news. It is you. They sell your eyes to advertisers.
2. Very few people will watch hard news. Think city council meetings. You can get lots of people with one-off events, but that won’t pay the day-to-day bills.
3. One large minority that will watch every day, news or no news, is soap opera women (40% of women). It’s a minority, but is big enough to pay the daily bills.
4. This minority will tune away if you lose its interest. This means that you can air only stories that are familiar narratives from soap opera. If, say, the cause of an air crash were to be reported correctly, it will be changed to be wrong but understandable, lest these people tune away.
5. The tastes of soap opera women therefore edit every national debate. Call it framing.
6. The left free-rides on this MSM business model, as a source of familiar narratives. That’s where cause and effect is reversed. It’s a mutual dependency, not a bias.
7. The MSM business model may not work out, but it’s soap opera women or nothing.
