I have to credit Elusive Wapiti for making me aware of this truth. The first time it was explained to me, my eyes opened and a lot of things in our culture made sense.

I am a big admirer of Twilight not for the cloying pop romance of a movie it is, but for its aim that splits the arrow on the female psyche as well as dodging any threat to “girl power”. I would posit that most coastal big city American girls are shit, although I have never experienced them myself. I live in a non-shitty non-hick part of flyover country, my home city is the biggest in the state and my school’s city is pretty big too, so there are a lot of hotties to choose from. Most of them aren’t evangelical bible thumpers as secularism is the name of the game here too, but there is still a lot of traditional values going around so finding a quality girl isn’t as hard and tankgrrls are rare. But, as a caveat, there are nowhere near as many 9’s (and no 10’s, they leave right away to model) as I suspect one would find in the big cities and since the competition isn’t as fierce even the hottest girls have a tendency to put on a few pounds.
It’s a suboptimal trade off if you’re looking to get married or have a LTR, but at least they probably won’t divorce you or go fucking around behind your back. As for me, I plan on moving to a big city and not getting married so it doesn’t matter.

That’s pretty much what this post was saying. Which is frankly, to understate, greatly imprecise.
First, there will always be so-called female emotional porn in as many varieties as is socially sanctioned. An uber religious conservative granny is watching a dubbed Turkish soap with souped up alpha males and drama somewhere in the ‘repressed’ Gulf as we speak, where so much as a kiss is censored in daytime TV.

The desire for sex in a woman builds greater and greater the more she fantasises, the more experience she builds, the more she is exposed to it. She has a lower baseline drive; she needs a good introduction to function sexually (this is where female supression of female sexuality comes in). Exposure to emotional porn alone increases her sexual desire for betas, regardless of whether the men depicted are beta or not. It is an increased total desire for sexual experience, which men can take for granted. If male sexual drive is a push — an impulse that pushes him whether he knows it or not, is stimulated or not, a desire that becomes closer to satiation the more he experiences — then Female desire is a pull, the more pleasurable experience of sex, the more she wants. Yes, they overlap, but the difference is very significant. Generally, those who indulge in more explicit emotional porn (in contrast to those who do not have any impulses towards any kind of porn, aside from moral objections?) lead better sex lives with betas; I say this anecdotally and with some scientific basis. I’d link you to the original studies but they’re not freely available; this article will suffice.
But this greatly depends on what kind of emotional porn we’re talking about, because not every show, film or book is created equal which brings me to…
Last, the actual problem we’re failing to articulate here is that female porn is being increasingly used for feminist tropes and a certain feminist female suppression of sexuality. It’s also invariably an expression of the wider cultural zeitgeist, heavily influenced as all media is by the left. This is where false expectation comes in; it’s the most marked and marketed propaganda in the area of gender wars. The definition of the alpha male became urbanised and unrealistically balanced, within reach to the everyday woman… rather than a former clearcut departure from the immediate reality of the average woman. The women in female porn have gradually become less feminine, less beautiful, less perfection, whilst still landing the same status man. They’ve eradicated any mention of rape or pseudorape, in the literature or film. Feminists hate any work that contravenes the lies of the feminist movement, and especially the lies about male sexuality. There is no work that contravenes this more than expression of true female sexuality. Ad we’ve seen in the archives of the chateau, the inkling of feeling hypocrisy comes when a heterosexual feminist struggles with her own sexuality. Feminists hate romance novels, and often criticise them. The only positive push from them is for pushing for increasingly more beta heroes and explicitly sexualising them as a subgroup — but the market will not buy too beta.

If all else fails, you should try to get a position teaching English overseas. It’s a good start to expose yourself to foreign cultures and women. No matter what profession you are in, you’ll likely not be able to make as much overseas so you’ll want to bring her back to the states. On a related note, are you familiar with the show Supernatural. Two brothers drive around in a Chevy Impala killing monsters and fucking hot chicks. I think that most everyone, as an unstated assumption, believes that inherited behavior is still filtrated through individual life experience as well as pure gene expression randomness. It’s not uncommon to see discussions of how particular culture or life experience serve as ‘modulators’ to predisposed behavior. (where modulators merely ‘enhance or suppress’ strong natural ‘instincts’ ) No one really believes in nature/nurture completely anymore. For things like mating, survival, and reciprocation that the biological inputs are extremely strong, however something like your favorite flavor of ice cream is not necessarily going to be easy to guess based on biology alone. Most of the comments here are pretty domain specific and perhaps most of the time appropriately so. I guess I don’t see anyone literally talking about biological determinism and rejecting environment, I do see however rejection of blank slate constructionism (which is totally gay)

Your claim definitely does not match the numbers in terms of money. There are indeed porn sites that specialize in non-hardcore pictures of nude women, but that’s not where the money is. Google for porn and check the ratio of hardcore sites to softcore.

I’m right here…holding out for a GOOD woman to come along and who understands why I don’t want to go party until 2 in the morning every Friday and Saturday night or blow my savings on a new car that depreciates in value as opposed to appreciating in value.
It seems to me that most of the otherwise good women got impatient and married the first guy that would have them in their early 20s, while I was still in putting in very long hours at work, and not dating, but rather trying to establish myself in a career. Now that these women are divorced with kids, and collecting alimony, I’m not interested.

Depends on the higher-testosterone women. All the women in my family are the high-t kind, have their index finger shorter than than their ring finger too. At the risk of sounding like David Alexander, I do not find this to be true for me. I have a pretty high threshold that must be met before I consider potential real sex to be superior to virtual sex and therefore worth pursuing. My own friends have pointed out to me that I don’t get laid as often as I could because of this. But I just can’t bring myself to put in the effort and take the risks for your average chubby and/or grating woman.

“No Strings Attached” is heavy duty chick flick porn. I just saw it yesterday (free of course, I won’t pay for garbage).
It’s about a 26 year old female doctor, the typical flat chested 6 that doesn’t threaten female audiences, with a harem of great looking men her age. The men are all subservient.
In the more disgusting movie scenes you will see in 2011 (then again, you can count on Hollywood to maybe top it), Ashton Kutscher’s character is speaking with a great looking male doctor who says “I know you’re my fiance’s boy toy, but keep in mind that you aren’t the one who’s going to marry her because you’re not good enough for her and can’t support her the way she would expect”.
I had to stop, rewind and listen to that scene again because I thought I hadn’t understood the dubbed translation I was hearing.
But I didn’t have to do that yet again because I knew that Hollywood was capable of really propagating such crap.
Word to young women reading this: In real life, alphas who look like that would pump and dump the female lead quickly, leaving her with no harem at all (and I believe even Ashton Kutscher is in an open marriage where he gets what he wants with Demi’s participation).
There were some saving graces to the film:
1) At the end, the Ashton character says “There will be no more texting and no more posting to my wall and no more Tweets, etc etc”
This was an excellent reference to the way a lot of the younger generation cannot relate like normal human beings.
2) The father of the male in this film is depicted as a 58 year old TV star who steals Ashton’s young girlfriend away from him and lives with her. It was surprising for Hollywood to depict an older man, younger woman scenario at all.
Of course, the screenwriters did their best to deride this arrangement, making her out to be a stupid whore with no character who leaves him in the hospital to go to a night club with her friends.
Ashton’s character says to her “Don’t take this the wrong way, but you are a really bad person”. Marxist feminists would be pleased at the shaming of a young woman who would date an older man.
This film was emotional porn for aging feminists (those over 23).

DT, avoiding fat chicks is not a bad thing since size differential is a basic part of how humans gauge gender/hormone levels. Bigger women tend to have higher testosterone.
Also, if you’re a guy with middling to low lower body strength, you won’t be able to handle a big woman. Even guys who try to, and don’t have the physique to do it, can’t manage it well. It’s about the ability to comfortably thrust at a particular angle.

Some women don’t wear makeup except on special occasions because they’re saving their skin. If you asked them to wear it more often when you’re dating, they would. It’s just that until they’re dating, they don’t want to risk crow’s feet at 25.

In fact, most “chick flick” movies today are too anodyne (svp look it up) to be the female version of porn. Women may love Sleepless in Seattle or Sex and the City but not for their arousal-inducing qualities. Not *that* kind of arousal at any rate.

For me, I noticed a number of negative effects on my sexual performance from viewing hard-core porn. It was also a timesuck. I have since replaced my porn habit with reading about game. Not that I don’t use porn at all anymore, but I tend to use softcore & art nude images, in tiny quantities for two reasons:
1. In small doses (15 minutes before bed or 5 minutes before going out) motivate to approach hot women, and to do so with strong sexual polarity.
2. Girls in soft-core and art nude, visually speaking, have a much higher SMV than the average woman walking around in the average urban area, since statistically 60% of average women are fat. Thus small amounts of soft-core help me keep my standards up & avoid what I’ll call female SMV creep, because in a room full of 3’s, a 6 looks like a 9, but is still a 6.
Shifting to reading & studying game, and using a modicum of soft-core & art nude images has been a game-changer for me. One upcoming film that might be good for men and women alike is The Adjustment Bureau.
It appears to be like “1984” which was mainly about a government trying to keep a man and a woman apart.
I’m assuming it won’t be fem propaganda because the short story was written by Philip Dick, who also wrote the book that “Blade Runner” was based on as well as a famous book, “The Man in the High Castle,” about what the world would be like if Germany had won the second world war (Hitler would have nuked his ally Japan later on).
Dick has died and won’t be writing anymore great stuff.
There’s a chance to see some good stuff coming out of Hollywood in 2011, if only stuff based on great authors of the past. Just don’t hold your breath for more than a few winners.

It may seem as if every other movie released is a romantic comedy/chick flick, but how many of these do good business, or make any other kind of impact? Most of them are forgotten as soon as they’re made, and few people go to see them unless they mix in a little crude humour to appeal to husbands and boyfriends as well as to women. Anyway, even if they were doing brilliant box-office, my other point still stands: women don’t view the standard romantic comedy, starring Cameron Diaz or Jennifer Aniston or (at one time), Meg Ryan, as arousing. They may be fun in other ways, but they’re not a substitute for porn.

The vicious attempt by American feminists to establish treaties with all other countries that would force American men to pay the same excessive child support anywhere on Earth, regardless of the local economy where the child is being raised, amounts to an attempted genocide of American men (killing off the DNA of all men who refuse to be slaves).
It could end up being by far the most important issue for me.
The reason I am into fighting feminism online is because they are trying to legally harass US men who are already overseas, attempting a whole bunch of laws to control whom we can meet (for instance the IMBRA law) and, now, whether or not we can afford to have babies with foreign women. They are into world government as all these laws/treaties are extra-jurisdictional.
This is why I wanted the Chateau to post about the need to stop the International VAWA among other things.
Someone posted a few months ago about having to pay a Mexican woman $2000 per month child support where she would end up being by far the richest woman in her village. Without greedy international lawyers, such a woman would accept $200 per month and the man could spread his DNA around by having 3 or 4 affordable children in Mexico and still remain single with enough money to have a good life on.
The US feminists are determined to make it as unpleasant as possible for men to choose to leave the plantation.

There’s an article I read awhile back and in recent months I’ve been trying to dig it up but can’t. It was about a women’s organization which took it on itself to identify women in nations where American military had once been stationed who had had children with soldiers, marines, etc, but were left with them when the military man was called home.
They then seek to identify the father and to gain court rulings in the US for the father to pay child support.
I think that morally this is a bit of a conundrum. Yes – the child didn’t ask for that, and that is unfair to the child, that is all a given. But yes – mom had a say, not just dad.
And here is it an American organization, and American courts, that settle the ruling. As much as this is an unfairness visited on an innocent child by BOTH parents, I cannot unwind the evil of asking a man to risk his life, then subjecting him to slavish legal and financial peril, for the crime of engaging in basic human passions under literally warlike conditions. There is sadness for everyone involved, but mortal peril was asked of, and volunteered by the man, yet we attempt to legislate perfection with the effect of putting the man into penury.

In a Fox News segment last night on Berlusconi, Sam Shepherd made the claim “of course women hate him” while at least conceding (by implication) that male Fox News viewers probably don’t.
But Shepherd and his “expert guest” went no further in terms of explaining WHY they felt “of course women hate him.” Fox News won’t mention the word “feminism” and didn’t even try to say Berlusconi’s opponents were left wing. They went out of their way to say “The Vatican is concerned.”
They didn’t, for instance, say “older women hate him” or, better, “insecure older women hate him”. They stuck with “of course women hate him”.
That must be news to his many female friends, almost all of whom are loyal to him (unlike Tiger Woods’ female friends).
Fox News would also never mention the concept that older women are jealous of Ruby and don’t want other old men to abandon their wives and everyone older than 30 (one of Berlusconi’s best looking female friends is 42 so older women need not be so insecure about him and the message he is sending).
Fox News is ultimately bullshit, where the male point of view gets short shrift. It just might be a bit better than CNN.

I wouldn’t say it’s extremely possible but, rather, extremely likely that every country in Europe will soon adopt laws/clauses similar to those in Germany and Italy that exactly mimic the clause in the prostitution “legalization” law that got Berlusconi indicted.
This will effectively raise the age of consent to 18 everywhere for whenever a hater could “reasonably” infer that a relationship has an economic disparity where gifts were made.
I hate to say it, but its going to be a fait accompli. The feminists have found a way to split younger men away from older men on the subject (younger men without money know they will never be accused by feminist prosecutors of paying for sexual activity).
Even with this blog getting the word out about what the feminists are up to in terms of raising the age of consent (see the Hank Moody post above), I see the effective age of consent being 18 across Europe in the next few years.
Then, men who date 19 year olds will have to check IDs more thoroughly because many of the women who say they are 19 are lying.
Men will probably not hear about the new laws being passed. They will just happen.

As a woman, I agree with a lot of what he says. I, personally, don’t watch any of those garbage shows in tv nor read romance novels or tabloids.
Feminism is quite possibly the worst thing to ever happen to women. It totally fucked up the natural relationships between men and women and our children and society are now paying the price big time.
The ironic thing is that feminism is almost solely responsible for the rise and normalization of pornography. Feminism teaches women that sex means nothing and any man who judges a women on her sexual history is a jerk. Therefore, being sexually liberated women is ideal. However, all of this sexual liberation has just caused women to be even more objectified than in the past. Plus, porn is easy money. So why wouldn’t a modern day woman become porn stars/stripper instead of spending their time and money going to university and getting real job? In the days of the past, no self respecting women would engage in those types of activities.
Society needs to bring back slut shaming. Feminists need to stop infiltrating the minds of our young women with their diseased mythology.
Sadly, I highly doubt that is going to happen.

So why not pay a young pretty girl (of consenting age, of course) or a specialist for their time? I don’t see the shame in it for the man because he’s still in the dominant position being the one holding a resource the woman wants.
As far as the non whore types of women well…your boss doesn’t pay you to do nothing. If you go to church, you’re familiar with the offering plate. Whatever ideology we adhere to, we all need food and water to live. If a woman feels like she can do it all herself, so long as she doesn’t have any kids whose lives to ruin with her ideology, good on her. Hopefully she’s strong enough to get hers.
Those of us with our feet on the ground though, like a man to take care of us, and in exchange, we take care of him.

So in a way, sex and physical displays of affection are a kind of resource that women have that you need. There’s a timing problem with the alleged causal relation between the internet porn phenomenon and reduced desire to real women. When he had a local S.F. show in 1994, Michael Savage used to do the occasional “ask the lovelorn” show. I was listening one day when several women called in to say that they couldn’t even get men to look at them. Obviously, this was before the web. I live in san francisco – pretty awesome city, despite the insipid liberal do-gooder political climate. Badass music, food, party scene, art, scenery…the town can’t be beat.

While there’s no doubt that women with poor character and low IQs are more often found in bars than in libraries, in a sick anti-male culture, the flake rate is high no matter where you’ve met. There is a problem and its mostly not with the men.

Regarding the Wall Street Journal article “Where Have the Good Men Gone,” it starts off making a major premise that women in their 20s are supposed to naturally want to mate with men in their 20s and not men in their 30s and 40s who are more mature and doing much better than the young women financially. In the USA, this has historically been true. The marriage section of the New York Times almost never showed a couple with much of an age difference, at least in my lifetime.
The article laments the idea that same-age guys are not attractive to 20 something urban American women, most illustratively that they are very Beta and don’t have as good jobs (the authoress stresses this factor) as the women do. But never once does the authoress suggest that the disappointed young women date the older guys in Manhattan who, the article implies but does not say, are their match financially, emotionally, etc.
The article is just a non-stop lamentation that 20 something guys are supposedly betas who play video games and watch Star Wars (it’s an article complaining about betas).
So why doesn’t she point these guys to places like the Chateau?
Overall, I was ticked off by the pig-headedness of the authoress never considering that there might not be a problem if women only considered dating guys who *were* mature and had jobs. Of course, it’s part of the feminist agenda of “equality” to pretend that age difference relationships are off the table.

Scott Pilgrim is definitely not designed for the average female. There’re a few comedies in this vein, which’re male targeted from what I can tell: the guy language, gross-out humour and so on. It does give men false expectations about relationships, and what it takes to be attractive. A guy’s just more likely to buy into ‘just be myself’ when ingesting that kind of media. It just isn’t something I’d consider designed for women. It’s not a rom com.
It gets more shady with my other example, but I don’t think we can’t allow overlap of what somehow appeals to both genders in the way Jerry mentioned.

I was hoping the judge would refuse to let him be extradited on these two grounds:
1) there’s considerable question whether in a high profile case a man can get a fair trial on rape charges in Sweden in the current climate there; especially when the trial will be conducted behind closed doors;
2) the conduct sited by the Swedish prosecutors even if true doesn’t make out a case for rape in England;
3) extradition should occur for mere questioning, unless and until a criminal case is filed against him.

I wrote the following some time ago and posted it elsewhere in a comment. But since Jerry commented out the English decision to let Assange be extradited to Sweden, and since there’s nothing else going on here at the Chateau, I’d thought I’d post it here:
Even if what the Swedish prosecutor leaked to the Guardian is all true, e.g. Assange agreed with all of it, it’s doesn’t make out a case of rape.
Woman A’s wanting sex with Assange but only with a condom, doesn’t become rape because the condom accidentally broke. Woman W also saying the night before that she wanted sex only with a condom, but allowing sex without one to proceed the next morning after she was awake, without bothering to say no or otherwise trying to get him to stop, and in fact instead implying it was ok as long as he doesn’t have HIV, obviously doesn’t constitute rape either.
Note neither went to the police until they found out he’d two timed each of them within a few days, and that he refused to have an STI test before leaving Sweden, for lack of time. They both had a motive to lie or exaggerate, and to be upset after the fact rather than during it. Both saw him socially after the occurrence. The first continued to let him sleep with her in her bed but didn’t have sex with him again. Some rapist.
Both women wanted to have full sex with Assange but only with a condom, which they say they made clear to him early on. He wanted it without one. Neither allege he physically forced them to have sex w/out a condom. Neither claim they said no, or stop, or anything similar as he was he was having sex with them.
The first woman A says she discovered the condom had broken after the sex was over, and that he ejaculated inside her. She says she suspects he intentionally did something to make that happen, and continued after knowing it had, without even giving any reasons for that suspicion. He told police that he didn’t know it had broken and didn’t intentionally break it.
In the case of the second woman W, Assange eventually lost interest in having sex her when she wouldn’t do it w/out a condom, and fell sleep in her bed with her. They woke up in the middle of the night and had sex together with a condom twice I believe it was.
Early the next morning, Miss W told police, she had gone to buy breakfast before getting back into bed and falling asleep beside Assange. She had awoken to find him having sex with her, she said, but when she asked whether he was wearing a condom he said no. “According to her statement, she said: ‘You better not have HIV’ and he answered: ‘Of course not,’ ” but “she couldn’t be bothered to tell him one more time because she had been going on about the condom all night. She had never had unprotected sex before.”

As Naomi Wolf has said, the “you better not have HIV” and his “of course not” constituted a renegotiation to have condomless sex, and consent. She sure as hell didn’t indicate non consent that morning. Her internal “couldn’t be bothered” hardly communicated to him, and is hardly consistent with rape either.
Some rape. Some serious crime. Not a crime at all. And that’s even before hearing his side of the story much at all, or seeing messaging between the two women, etc.
A and W didn’t seem to initially want him prosecuted for rape. They didn’t allege rape when they went to the police; they wanted to know if there was some way they could force Assange to get an STI test before he left Sweden. It’s become a huge feminist political football within Sweden since though apparently, after the first Swedish prosecutor to look at it said there’s not rape here, but feminist groups lawyered up with a male feminist former member of the previous Socialist government, who got a radical feminist firebrand female prosecutor to take the case back up. A and W are both self identify as strong feminists, and may be enjoying their central role in this push by Swedish feminists to push their boundaries of what constitutes rape even further.

Lord you people. Let’s keep some meaning to terms, rather than expanding them into meaningless.
The way he’s using the term “emotional porn” isn’t as any kind of vicarious entertainment that makes men or women feel emotionally good or good about themselves. The later is the effect Master and Commander (a movie I liked a lot) tends to have on men, who will identify with one or the other of the two main characters, or perhaps mostly one and a little of the other.
He’s using it as the analogous vicarious entertainments for females to visual porn for men, so far as goes the argument that porn may tend to raise and mould mens’ expectations about girls they can feel strongly sexually attracted to. Mould it towards the young, slutty and hot. That is it may mould and raise their expectations about the amount of raw sexuality, youth and hotness, and also for the rawest, most submissive and wanton sexual appetites in girls. Well that’s overstating it but it’s in that direction, so goes the argument anyway.
Emotional porn then as he’s using the term, is what’s likely to often have a similar effect on girls. That is it’s vicarious entertainments that lead them to have ever higher expectations and standards in the raw sexual attractiveness of the guy’s they can feel really attracted to, that is his minimum alphaness to be real hot.
It’s not rom coms of the sort that lead her to want to settle for a provider beta who’s a good guy, probably won’t cheat, and will make a good father. That latter is analogous to moves encouraging men to pick a girl next door type, good and loyal wife, who’s not been a slut, is intelligent, has good character and will make a good mother.
Some kinds of rom coms do on balance encourage the later sort of thing. Though the type I think women tend to love best, and what predominates in romance novels Bhetti tells me, is where the girl ensnares the thrilling at least semi bad boy alpha, much desired by other hot women, and then as the curtain is coming down, is managing to tame him and make him truly loyal and caught. (The later is what’s so appealing to women about the western semi myth of male romantic love in the chivalric tradition.)

Gender of targeted audience is not the only criteria which would exclude a product from being considered emotional porn for guys. I don’t think the premise of defeating evil exes and getting poon as reward is false expectation. I also don’t think that Ramona’s having been with 7 other people is a young guys wet dream. Assuming that Scott Pilgrim gets the girl at the end (I haven’t seen the movie), his goal is achieved by winning not by being nice. I think that is true to life.
The challenge to find a movie that meets the criteria of nice guy not finishing last AND the film also being a guy film is tough. It may be out there, but I can not think of one and neither have you.

I read you as more inquisitive than argumentative, so no worries. I disqualify super hero movies as emotional porn for guys primarily because of the super and the hero.
Armed with just nice, does not get the girl in these movies. Superman is a prime example. Clark Kent looks so much like Superman that it is… pardon the pun… comical that Lois doesn’t recognize him.
Yet even though both personas are visually identical, the former is basically a non person to Miss Lane. This message of power as aphrodisiac is art imitating true life, not art setting bad expectations.
As I suggested yesterday, there may indeed be some emo porn movie for guys, but I’m still struggling to find them.
