What he means is that by being kind, you are trying to spare their feelings. Giving them what they think they need (kindness) instead of what they actually need, is is cruel to them.
As for the scarcity comment, if you let a women act up to avoid making her angry/upset, it shows that you are afraid of losing her which is classic scarcity mentality.
Women and children are interchangeable in most regards. If your 8-year-old daughter mouthed off to you, would you ignore it? Of course not, you would respond in a way that makes it clear what she did is not acceptable (grounding, spanking, whatever your preferred punishment is). The child may be angry, but by correcting her actions you are doing what is best for her. Ignoring it to avoid upsetting her (being “kind”) is being cruel in the long run (she never learns how to act properly). On the other hand, sometimes being cruel IS being kind. Take away something your GF wants (to be around you) when she acts up is cruel (in her eyes), but in the long term it retrains her to act like a proper woman (which is being kind to her).
Big picture, the heroes are the ones who don’t give a fuck about kind or cruel. They do what is best, not what is kind.

I had a small epiphany:
I was wondering why women (apparently in large numbers across the globe) would spend the majority of their good years doing degrading work, only to give all of their earnings to a man who, at best, treats them like mules. I understand that most well established pimps require a woman to pay him significant cash to get this ridiculous arrangement started!
Then I realized that this is exactly the arrangement that the vast majority of husbands and wives have, except with the genders reversed.
The husband enters the relationship by paying the customary 2 month’s salary to give her a ring, then he works himself to an early death so she can work her hobby job and buy herself colorful clothes. In the evening, she insults him and complains about how little money he is bringing home.
There are so many similarities between these two scenarios that I can’t even begin to list them all.
It still doesn’t answer the question “why”, but it is fascinating to notice that there are probably far more pimp-ho relationships where the female is the pimp and the male is the ho, than the other way around.

I met a girl the other day during a beer commercial shooting. After re-reading this Pimp Game post I got to thinking about how to apply this into my situation.

I also know this Strauss-Kahn guy is a socialist in charge of an organisation I do not support. However, I’m not convinced of his guilt as of yet, I believe the sentence of 74 years is over the top, and I believe the woman judge who denied Strauss-Kahn bail on the basis that he is a flight risk is a complete women’s lib Nazi.
This happened in Washington DC, did it not? The arrest seems political in nature one way or the other. The whole case sounds suspect to me. The details are sparse and unlikely. Why would a public figure with that kind of money and power try to go around raping women for no good reason? It’s also sounds to me like one of those “after the fact” rapes so popular on US college campuses.
He allegedly was not able to rape the women, so he forced her to give him a blow job? How does that happen? It sounds like either a complete setup for political reasons, or like I stated before, an “after the fact” rape sequence.

Guys should get in the habit of talking dirty to girls as soon as possible.
