Same child support=also stealth alimony. But no chance of having to pay alimony or equally divide property that’s not in both partner’s name. Except that is in the 10 or so common law marriage states – where if you don’t tell everybody you’re married but rather have lived together for 10 years, you won’t be considered married either.

No cohabitation needed. A trip together, regular convivence even in separate households, and a split bill of any property (say, an electric oven, it doesnt have to be a car), and the judge decides your’re married, and need to suport her.

Around 2005, I created a comic “contract to be involved with me.” It was 100% joke, but I handed it to women I dated, friends I hung out with (male and female) and people I did business transactions with. It’s basically a relationship “pre-nup” and I constantly think about resurrecting it and making people sign it in front of a notary.
Some parts:
Friends: “Don’t ask me for a deal at my businesses. Paying full price allows me to spend time with my friends and pay my staff. Don’t you hate doing work for your boss’s friends?”
Women: “I expect you to be on consistent birth control. If you get pregnant, I consider it fraudulent and expect a lump sum payment of $50,000 for the theft of my seed.”
Business: “Don’t ask for a deal unless you’re ready to close on it. The price goes up quickly.”
Etc, etc. It might not hold up in court, but at least it puts out there what I expect — and what the penalties are for violating the contract.
I am very specific about not saying “my girlfriend” about any woman I date. I trust the law as far as I can throw a lawyer — and one can never keep up on changes to it. If a woman wants to be my girlfriend, officially, she better earn a load of cash, not carry debt and not have addictive behavior. That’s 1 in 10,000, so a rare bird indeed.

But after more thought, what I honestly will say:
The true greatest benefit of marriage is that it enables the flourishing of civilization* while the majority of men unite out of defense for the fragile fruit of each’s own refreshing, lifelong-assured feminine loyalty. Once inherently open-ended/voidable LTRs replace marriage, men (rightly) will grow distrusting and demotivated as they lose the virtual social guarantee of familial legacy that’s necessary in order for them to move en masse, beyond intrasexual competition, and inevitably into the self-sacrificial labor required for building sustainable high-culture and death-facing armies. (E.g.: the Jews (sans armies, that is); post-Renaissance Christian Europe; early-/mid-20th century, Industrial, WW1-through-WW2 America; the movie 300; etc. ad infinitum.) Plus, as we all intuitively know, untamed hypergamy destroys fraternity. (See: a club; a bar; a co-ed school; the existence of the AMOG; Mystery Method; etc. ad nauseam.) And the fact is: labor minus fraternity is mind-numbingly painful, depressing, and beta-inducing. (See: your job.)
In consequence of the sexual market-transition, due to these tragic truths, both the economy and military will collapse as swiftly as the backbones of the now-emasculated ex-men. Cultural achievement & governmental authority will fall about as low as the general opinion & sexual attraction a majority of women will have toward their dispirited natural leaders. Society’s former-“ladies” will finally drop their ill-humored commitments to a masculine creative power that they could only embrace after they’d dropped their red-laced thongs to fleeting fashions that bore illusory strength of elusive style. Soon enough, any naively persistent present-“gentleman’s” marriage is divorced from all sex in toto. Ultimately, our beautiful, beloved and fancy freedom is divorced by & from its sole protection.
My fundamental point is that, eventually, you will get what you pay for. Well, unless — as many morons must repeatedly learn — you indiscriminately toss out the money for anyone or anything. With the promise & expectation of returns you don’t get. And never will get, if you fail to enforce reimbursement, ending up actually paying for just, say, some self-righteous, politically-correct public image.
With a corrective reflection on recent bank disasters, men simply have no interest in approving LTRs over marriage; and that’s precisely because modern bitches are gluttonously demanding such obese figures to back up and foolishly compensate for their “independent”, still-unfounded credit worth (while willfully ignorant of its poor collective history). A society that rightly encourages marriage empowers a man and woman; but one that mostly advocates LTRs will gradually come to empower a woman alone. The parallels are tragically ridiculous, yet hard to deny: LTR-acceptance would ultimately be tantamount to either our state’s perpetual give-away of stolen handouts (i.e., self-aggrandizing charity for the elite), or its recent redistribution of socialistic bailouts (i.e., flaunting of the elitists’ power to charm the rest into forgiveness while re-investing in their “all-inclusive, now-reformed” ways). Men, please, stop falling for and imprudently maintaining pretty lies. Or blindly perish.

Hey Vivi, there was a chick here walking home at 3AM a couple of weeks ago and had the misfortune to find a baseball bat upside her head and her purse stolen. Cohabitate in California and you have some small risk of being deemed to owe “palimony”.
What California did in the palimony Lee Marvin case back in the 70s was to decided that pillow talk oral promises of taking care of a woman for the rest of her life, created an obligation to do that through alimony, if the jury could be convinced that promise had been made. There haven’t been many successful palimony cases since the Lee Marvin one. Though it is something divorce lawyers representing women use to get settlements from rich men in California.
If you very simply put in writing that whatever you say or is claimed you say in the heat of desire, you don’t make any such promises you each intend to have legally enforced, and that’s mutually agreed until this is changed in mutually signed writing, you should be ok in Cali.
Consult a Cali attorney. But this is the general idea.
The point is the Lea Marvin decision was essentially a contract one, that was yes feminist motivated. But that’s the hook in anglo saxon common law they used.

I know of a guy who is a very successfull businessman in Melbourne Australia who apparently got around having to pay out his former wife because he had already been paying her as an employee of his company.
Smart move when you think about it, even if was paying her 100k per year and they were married some 10 – 15 years, it only cost him (his company) $1-1.5 mil over that time.
Sound like a bargain compared to what he could have paid had it been a typical payout decided by the Family Law Court.

In the (Lee) Marvin v (Michelle) Marvin case in CA, the posters have it wrong. The first case was decided by the CA supreme Court in 1976. It reversed the trial court’s decision in favor of Lee but only to the extent that a new trial was permitted. In the second trial, the lower court awarded Michelle $104,000 whic was reversed on appeal in 1981. Not only did Michelle get nothing, she had to pay the 1981 appeal’s costs.

Girly Girl, there are lies, damn lies and statistics. The methodology in that piece is flawed, and I predict that in 5-10 years, there will be almost no difference, the rates would read nearly the same across social strata.

Off-topic, but the so-called “Slutwalks” have been making the news in England over the past two days. Large numbers of women, many of them sponsored or agitpropped by the Socialist Workers’ Party (yep), parading through the streets of London and Manchester dressed like whores to assert their right to do so without being raped.
The whole thing is a farce. No reasonable man or woman believes that a woman deserves to be raped because she is dressed provocatively. I don’t believe anyone has ever made this argument. What they have said is that male sexual urges being what they are (not to mention the effects of alcohol), if women do dress like whores then they are likelier to put themselves in danger than if they dress modestly.
What the hell goes on in women’s brains (rhetorical question round here, I know)? Saying that things ARE a certain way is not the same as saying they SHOULD BE that way. Do they really not understand that? I don’t walk through the ghetto yelling into my iPhone and flashing my Rolex because that significantly increases my chances of being relieved of said items. Like I pointed out before, it would be huge leap from where we are now, but who knows it could happen. At a minimum, this whole proposal could be a thought experiment to use against feminists, sort of by pushing their own liberation thing to a universal level.
Think about the benefits, you could stay with a girl, raise a family with her but be secure in the knowledge that if things get bad you can always walk and the worst she can do to you is walk (but not take your money). It’s caveman 2.0. Condoms don’t offer this now and I don’t think the male pill would either.

However the Supreme Court’s providing for a retrial rather than a dismissal suggests that a palimony type oral promise would be enforced if it was believed. That she ended up getting nothing suggests it’ll be hard to get juries to believe such claims.
As I said a simple written agreement that no promises of support after breakup or a splitting of separately held property is agreed to, and further the can’t be changed except by a subsequent written agreement between the cohabitors, should take care of the faked oral contract exposure for good and all in California.

Intellectually speaking, Aaron’s reference to “not going back to the kitchen” was about the issue of excessive child support and alimony. An Ivy League student would normally be expected to respond to that with a cohesive argument in favor of female judges telling men how much money they need to be relieved of every month rather than letting men decide on their own, the way they would have for most of history.
Where I come from, your average 21 year old woman already recognizes that the 5 years of her life in which she will have been the hottest, are already over and a sharp downslide of male interest is about to happen. Anonymous, quite possibly you may make more money than most of us. Though it may be a temporary arrangement. When the economy tanks (and it is not a question if, it is really when), your ivy league diploma may mean precisely zip. People that are able to produce tangibles will be in demand.
But say that by some miracle, the economy will turn around. Just for the sake of entertaining your future trajectory. I presume that you are a male. I am looking forward to the time when you’re taken to cleaners by your X. It will precisely happen because you think it won’t.

Anonymous is clearly presenting herself as a female 21 year old. I bet she’s 31, because of the bitterness, but that would be too bad because it would be mostly too late for her to learn. Assuming the older feminists taught a real 21 year old to use sex as a weapon to try to force men into thinking “properly,” the best argument to her is that, in order to maintain that Sword of Damocles over men’s heads, then every 5 years a “new generation” of hotties needs to agree to join the blackmail conspiracy she’s implying exists to keep men thinking properly.
Because all it takes is for the majority of women aged 16-25 (or even a significant minority)
to laugh at the bitterness of feminism and laugh at the foolishly short-sighted concept of denying sex to men who reject anti-male feminism, and the entire house of cards this 21 year old has built in her mind will come crashing down, especially 4 years from now when 9 years worth of younger hotties will be in direct competition with her.
While women can learn game (get a personality and a good attitude) to slow the decline of attractiveness toward the opposite sex, men have the chance to develop game to actually increase their attractiveness over time. Money provides zero added value to a woman’s sexual market value, unless she uses it for a gym membership. A man can work on a North Atlantic oil well for ten years and come back to civilization with an immensely augmented sexual market value.
Something very ironic: Anonymous was clearly projecting her own attraction to money (men with money) in her polemic, implying that men were also attracted to women with money. She was saying she’s a 21 year old sexually attracted to men with money.
Remember what I keep saying about young women having whore fantasies? It doesn’t matter if they are professed feminists or not. The above, allegedly young, feminist is deeply attracted to money. It drips off her rant like fat off a rotisserie chicken.

We can defeat the monster in less than 5 years. All we need is one billionaire on our side and one or two foreign leaders who are willing to directly criticize the west for its feminism. With the youngest women no longer indoctrinated, nobody cares if their older sisters are indoctrinated.

Marriage is a completely outdated concept that benefits no one, not even children. Anyone still determined to marry should not marry anyone you think would behave badly during divorce proceedings. In a long term relationship, exercise common sense. Fears of palimony are unfounded even in CA where I reside. Protect your assets and don’t live together.
Women understand their prime years are in their teens and 20’s. An intelligent woman will develop other qualities to fall back on as she gets older. A personality, some feminine qualities, ability to talk about something other than herself or celebrity gossip. Real women want real men, the men this blog refers to as alphas. A real woman will submit to a man she trusts and respects. Feminism is good for voting rights, equal pay, ability to own property, working in a traditionally male dominated field, etc. It has no place in a personal/sexual relationship between a man and a woman.
[Editor: All those things that you listed feminism is good for have repercussions on personal/sexual relationships, whether you want them to or not. Much of this blog is devoted to revealing those unseen connections.

You’re mistaking me: I do not care about fairness – it does not exist. Nor, do I care about children. At all.
What you envision is purely theoretical. The reason why not go back to patriarchy is you will have to deal with 100 Million screaming American women opposing your wishes. And, another 100 Million white knights. You’ll have to also “hope” for a way to crush their opposition.
I agree with your premise – but not with the practical realities of how you accomplish it in the America of today that’s scared of blood.

Firepower, when arguing with people who are defending the status quo they may make their argument based fairness or families. All I’m saying is that you can point out to them that there are better systems that prioritize on family (patriarchy) or fairness (caveman 2.0), not that that we will ever necessarily adopt those systems. We’re no longer about it in terms of “we should do X”, just observing that “if you really cared about X, then Y would be the most logical system”.

Actually, logic does not even prevent them from taking the most harmful path. If it DID, we’d elect the smartest to high office.
Argument has made no sense for a while; merely disagreeing seems fruitless, now.

I love these blog comments because it is the ONLY place that I have ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever read a woman making a cogent argument or giving an intelligent opinion. The smart analysis draws some smart women.
That being said, it doesn’t happen often and the “anonymous 21 year old Ivy League graduate” (maybe) isn’t one of those informed arguments.
Instead, its of the 95% typical “you are speaking against my self interest and, therefore, you are a small dicked misogynist” variety of statement (I can’t call it an argument) that EVERY TIME validates the opinion that 95% of the time women are intellectually incapable of even grasping what makes a legitimate intelligent argument and what would gain the respect of the people that will further help shape the laws that will benefit or detract from her self interest. If she’s an Ivy League student, then the quality of accepted applicant has no doubt dropped. She shows no awareness of the people that she is arguing against, where their opinions come from, or that her statement makes her look incredibly emotional and illogical.
And there are a lot of bottom rung Ivy League graduates that don;t make much. i would love to hear what will qualify her to make a lot of money. I’m guessing that her estimation is off a wee bit, given her demonstrated level of cognition and emotional response.

Male controlled birth control will come first through easily reversible vasectomy “plugs”. There are being clinically trialed in several countries now. A specially formulated plastic plug is inserted into the male vas deferens, which can be dissolved by microwave energy applied to the pelvis, at the right frequency. The pill and other female hormonal birth control works by a rather simple basic idea and mechanism. Mammalian females have a mechanism, an hormonal mechanism, that prevents them from becoming follow on pregnant while they’re currently still pregnant. Hormonal birth control mimics that in non preggers girls by changing her hormonal balance in that manner. Voila.
Nothing comparable exists in men. That’s not to say it’s impossible to come up with some type of male pill that will stop the ability of sperm to impregnate without stopping his sex drive or otherwise seriously poisoning him, but it’s FAR, FAR harder, and very uncertain of success.
