A female author at the New York Beta Times asks why women politicians don’t get caught in humiliating sex scandals.
Naturally, the author offers the PC feminism-approved answer to explain the discrepancy in peccadillos.
But there may be something else at work: Research points to a substantial gender gap in the way women and men approach running for office. Women have different reasons for running, are more reluctant to do so and, because there are so few of them in politics, are acutely aware of the scrutiny they draw — all of which seems to lead to differences in the way they handle their jobs once elected.
“The shorthand of it is that women run for office to do something, and men run for office to be somebody,” said Debbie Walsh, director of the Center for American Women and Politics at Rutgers University. “Women run because there is some public issue that they care about, some change they want to make, some issue that is a priority for them, and men tend to run for office because they see this as a career path.”
Riiiiight. That’s the ticket. The pleasingly martyr-like “women can’t afford to mess up” rationale. Well, I’m here to tell you that’s not the reason why female politicians don’t get caught in sex scandals. The answer is much less convoluted, and less politically palatable as well. Female politicians are OLD and unattractive; they don’t have salacious affairs because men aren’t interested, especially the powerful men whom these hypergamously-straitjacketed women lust after. For an old broad like Pelosi, or an ugly one like Hillary, to have a sexy fling would require a willing participant. Now maybe with a lot of elbow grease and an ego that can handle rejection, the typical congresswoman could scrounge up the rare man who would carry on with her over text, but the time and energy to find such a man would be exhausting for even a manic Type A personality.
In contrast, male politicians, including the old ugly ones, by virtue of their high status and power, have no trouble meeting women. Usually, the women reach out to them and make their jobs easy. Weiner seems to have had his share of young, female groupies.
Oh yeah, and one more bleedingly obvious answer for why there aren’t more female politicians caught in sex scandals:
Men are biologically programmed to spread the seed. Men dig variety. No matter how old they get. The limiting factor isn’t age, it’s options.
So the next time you swoon over some old guy who has stayed faithful to one woman for forty years, just remember…
he likely didn’t have the power of a politician to act on his urges.
It is hard to listen to the barrage of news about Mr. Weiner. God damn. I hate hearing about other penises as it is, but this one takes the cake.

Insulting quote by Debbie Walsh, but par for the course in our failed feminist media. Everything women do is selfless and noble, and everything men do is selfish and egotistical. Amazing the crap they get away with saying because men just shrug their shoulders and move on.
Men do get into politics to “be somebody”, for one because they can’t rely on a vagina to them anywhere in life, are also held more accountable for their actions, and aren’t celebrated just for existing. So when they get into office, they gotta do shit too.

i think female politicians definitely have affairs. the difference is that they would have an affair with the one available man for them and keep them around for a while. male politicians would have an affair with any available woman, which is both more likely to leak than a single affair and also looks tawdry when exposed.

I think the biggest factor is age. Woman know this, which is why they are so harsh on older men-younger women pairings. Also, it would do nothing for the reputation of a young man to be caught in an affair with an older, more powerful woman. I doubt any alpha would want to do it. He has options.
That said, Ben Franklin recommended that a young man take an older women for a lover. But, his reasons had a lot to do with social than biological factors. He noted that the older women would be very grateful, unlike the young women. But today who cares after you dump them.
Men are just not attracted to power in their partner. They want the power for themselves.
That said, it is odd that women call men pigs. For every straying straight male there is at least one straying (or poaching) female. Look at Tiger. Musta been a ratio of 50:1 “bad” women per one “bad” man. Guess we know which gender has a more active pig population.

I wonder what percentage of these female politicians are either bi-sexual or homosexual—I would guess a much higher percentage than the men.It’s much harder to discover Lesbian Lovers than even Gay Lovers which in turn Heterosexual lovers are the easiest to catch because of suspicion levels and the wonderful media’s desire to catch heterosexual lovers the most, Lesbian Lovers the least with Gay lovers in between. This is true only if they are open about their sexual orientation and people believe them. Closeted Lesbians seem to be pursued less than closeted gay men. I can think of a few possible scenarios where a younger man’s reputation could be boosted by having an affair with an older, more powerful woman. The scandals where a hot female teacher has seduced one of her teenage male students usually get other men cheering for the guy. And if a guy was caught having an affair with Sarah Palin, for example, I’d think his reputation would be boosted. The only reputation killer is whether or not the woman is ugly.

Also, while I completely agree with the original post, female politicians probably have less affairs for the opposite reason, too. It’s just harder for them to find guys that are attractive. Women want guys with a higher social status than them. But to a powerful woman who already ranks high on the social ladder, how many guys could she actually find that are more powerful than her?
Think what you will of Hillary Clinton, but she’s at least smart enough not to divorce Bill even though he’s notorious for his sex scandals. Probably because even if she had men lining up for her, she knows she’ll never find another alpha male with a higher social status than her.

Consider how often we hear about female Hollywood stars cheating on their husbands versus the other way around, unless the star wife was tit for tatting him. We just don’t. You must remember – 99% of all men are incorrigible BETAS. And, the media is mostly MEN. The notion that a dowdy middle aged woman (who likely reminds them of their wives) would be boffing some young alpha or otherwise cock on the side terrorizes these beta men are probably not even getting sex at home.
They all subscribe to Disney fantasy that women don’t cheat, that good girls are good, etc..

Women don’t, and never will have the ego to handle rejection. It’s not in their crazy programming. It is because of this, that alphas can make easy pickings of them. This is also why alphas would not touch a female woman in power. Not because they can’t, but because the woman is below their standards and ability.

But most female politicians are not attractive. They don’t get caught in sex scandals because they don’t have the opportunity to have scandalous sex. Powerful men have hot young women throwing themselves at their feet. Powerful women do not have hot young men doing the same.
