The Pay Gap Is A Lie

The Bitches of Beastwick are at it again, this time trotting out that gimp and repeatedly debunked — it’s been shot in the head a thousand times by now — hobbyhorse about a supposed pay gap between men and women.

Femcunts, listen up: the pay gap is a lie. Reporting on it favorably and credulously as if it wasn’t already proven a lie makes you liars. Filthy, clam-baked liars.

Once you control for hours worked, time away from career for family, and occupational choice (service sector and people person jobs that women innately prefer and FREELY CHOOSE generally pay less than male-oriented STEM and finance jobs), the pay gap DISAPPEARS.

So why, given that these facts have been out there for years, do feminists like President Obama continue sticking their fingers in their ears and lying through their teeth? Eh, you may as well ask why a warthog is ugly. It comes naturally.

    Reminds me of a conversation I recently had w/ my gf’s best friend. She was pissed that her attorney father suggested that she become a paralegal. “Why can’t I be an attorney?” she fumed.

    Just a couple of minutes later she stated that she wants her boyfriend to hurry up and finish school so that she can have kids and be a stay-at-home mother.

    So basically, many women just want to be told they can do it and have it all. “yeah, you can be a lawyer/doctor/engineer”. wink, wink and shit.

      Oh, they want to be a well-dressed, important lawyer, doctor, executive, whatever, for the period between 9:30 am and 11:30 am. Then long lunch with friends, phone call to mom, time at park with kids and friends, etc. Then they want to check on how their staff is doing on the work the staff must do for them—because isn’t that how high-powered lawyers, doctors, and executives live? The initial illusion younger professional women have is that if you go to the right school and wear the right suit, you get to join a club of people who Have It Made. Of course, that is just an illusion, as anyone who works demanding jobs quickly realizes.

      When twenty-something women face the reality–the awful, grinding, horror-inducing reality–of the three decades of punishing work it takes to become the high-powered lawyer, doctor, executive, etc., they bolt. They say “@%@#$ that!” and opt for an easier route of cubicle drone in government or regulated industry or even go the stay at home mom route. The gals do eventually start to complain–15-20 years later–that the reason they opted out for the mommy track was because the glass ceiling or some such. (I coulda been somebody! I coulda been a contenda’!”) But in reality, they properly choose not to spend 30 years working themselves into childless spinsterhood.

      The men who do go that route pay a heavy price for success. Few men are willing or able to pay it. Almost no women are.

        Yep. The commonly quoted figure for mastering any field is 10,000 hours. Those hours might be fun (if you’re following your talent rather than prostituting yourself), but they’re rarely glamorous.

        The problem is, what people see on “Law and Order” and read in “Shades of Grey” isn’t those 10,000 hours, only the reward that comes after it.         The Census Bureau reported in the late 80s that 1980 data show women make as much or more as men in similar professions. So this lie about a wage gap is just that: a cynical feminist lie. What maade it worse then and now is that the “study” those feminist morons at (I can’t remember the name of the university; it was either Brandeis, Yeshiva or someplace like that used totally bogus wage comparisons from 1900 on to “prove” their point. They even admitted as much in their press release. And of course the MSM accepted the gap as real and didn’t bother reading the whole release. Or if they did, they ignored the disclaimer, and here we are, more than 30 years later arguing the same BS.

    We had this discussion. I pointed out the differences for real manly work (usually done for all of adulthood until death) versus bullshit makework girl shit.

    Her response was that these paygap numbers were corrected for that.

    So, the funny thing was, I told her, ok, what are the raw uncorrected numbers?

      How scholars actually compile and analyze statistical data is something other people do, not them, and it is something the Womyn Studies types take for granted, like how a bridge will stay up as they drive across it.     this probably accounts for much of the purported wage gap.

      Not to mention that some of the bennies they do get are, I presume, not included in the wage stats, such as greater pensions due to longevity, and greater use of health care benefits due to the fact that they are quicker to visit doctors and take less shit for time off from work, and due to more single mothers having custody and thereby utilizing family health benefits and sick days for same.

      And lets not forget these studies don’t adjust for height bias.

    Whenever a woman brings up the purported pay gap I change the topic to the spending gap. Women spend most of the money, which in many circumstances includes money earned by men, either directly or through social subsidies. Men earn money for women to spend or to spend on women and women complain about it.

Women with children are never let be homeless in western democracies if they apply for help, whereas men with children have them taken from them and given to the mother who receives welfare to prevent her homelessness, and he is left to be homeless if such is his economic condition. Penniless men unless it’s only temporary and they’ve got a lot else going for them are very unattractive to almost all women and have no such alternatives.

    The point is no matter what kind of raw pay gap exists (if it does), it doesn’t show whether any gender discrimination occurs. The only way you can tell is if a man and a woman doing the same job fo the same hours at the same company for the same length of time and they have the same levels of experience and qualifications and with neither of them doing any overtime or getting any bonuses at the end of the year and the job not being commission-based. If the wage rates are still different, then the law already punishes this type of discrimination. That feminists still get away with using the (fictional) pay gap to argue that gender discrimination in terms of not-equal pay for equal work is widespread is a travesty.

It was about how pervasive “unconscious racism” is and how there need to be special laws and firms should hire special consultants (her) for fat fees to make sure they aren’t practicing “unconscious racism.” People like her have a vested interest in perpetuating the problem. In fact, she built a career on it.

      A lot of HR departments and headhunters do. When I was a headhunter, the men would try to negotiate their salary upwards about 80% of the time. Women, on the other hand, only did that 10% of the time. That made placing women a lot easier in some industries, because you knew that they wouldn’t give you any hassle, they’d accept it or they wouldn’t (and they almost always did). I used to hate certain kinds of IT placements because the overwhelmingly-male profession saw contract negotiation as a validation of their careers.

      Of course, those women who did aggressively negotiate, I noticed, often weren’t willing to compromise and got dropped after a second or third offer was presented. One woman in sales was so convinced of what she was worth (even in a rural Southern market) that she pushed the client to the brink . . . and then fell in. While he appreciated her negotiating skills she didn’t know how to take ‘yes’ for an answer, and so got passed over.

      It really depends on the field, however. The fact is the labor market is gender skewed, and looking at any particular metric isn’t going to tell you the whole story. And I think men will be a lot more eager to consider things like pay equity seriously when there is also equity in the number of jobs where men are regularly killed and maimed in the performance of their duties.

    I think women do indeed want family and marriage more than career. But once in a while you have someone like suzy welch who hits jackpot,and it makes women greedy and think they can have it all, forgetting there is only one Jack Welch among thousands of men.

    It’s not a practical strategy at all…but try explaining that to women.

    2. Learn the truth, but don’t tell other people you know the truth. Knowledge is power.
    3. Women are merciless, hypergamous, and amoral.
    4. A woman doesn’t owe you anything.
    5. You don’t owe a woman anything.
    6. Don’t sign anything.
    7. Make money
    8. Know the applicable laws.

    Expecting truth and fairness from women is like expecting it from politicians. It just won’t happen. Fairness is when they have everything they want. If you have nothing, no problem. Think about reproductive rights.
