This also shows how a girl/woman can gain anywhere from 0.5 to 2 points just for wearing flattering make-up and clothes. I admit, Lena is not hideous when she is dolled up, she is a 5-6 easy. However Hanna is a 3-4 most days.

I think the use of the word “deserve” is key here. It’s misleading and over-emotive. None of the sources they quoted said that Dunham doesn’t deserve a handsome partner. It’s not about what people “deserve“. It’s about what they can realistically hope to attract. And to me at least, it just doesn’t seem feasible that a fairly handsome and successful 40 yr old guy would be attracted to a pretty unattractive woman, even if she did have youth on her side.

I enjoyed reading that and I remembered some reasons why I should be thankful for feminists.
One person commented that their grandmother sued her employer for not letting women wear pants to work. I wear pants to work, so I am thankful that this happened.
I went to 2 universities that didn’t start out as co ed, so I thank feminists that I could get my education (and not be marginalized to the more limited resources of women’s colleges).
We also have sexual liberation. I am thankful for that because I am now free to gratuitously hit on heartiste.
I am a minority female. I am not christian. I am not straight (though I sometimes try).
You may feel feminism puts you at a disadvantage, but can anyone here give me some reasons why feminism is hurting me? Can you show me how feminism is hurting me enough to outweigh the benefits?
