A malignant white leftoid decided to try and get himself arrested for a nuisance crime to prove (in his own mind) that police “stop and frisk” profiling of blacks and hispanics is wrong because it presumably lets a lot of white Manhattanite would-be criminals off the hook.
Wearing a suit and tie and carrying a couple of cans of spray paint, he had a hard time getting arrested. Even after tagging a public building in full view of security cameras, he still couldn’t get arrested (a cop at the scene was bewildered by the leftoid’s brazenness, and who can blame him), so he turned himself in, where he discovered that white cellmates had fewer bruises on them than non-white cellmates from what they claimed (always trust a con) were altercations with cops.
Naturally, the leftoid is humblebragging about his revealing exposé of the criminal justice system and, I’m sure, he’s now a hit at Upper West Side parties where he has cashed in his anti-white status whoring points for beaucoup feels. But all this moron did with his campy street stunt — aka criminal tourism — was prove that criminal profiling works. There are so few suited-up white men in NYC spraying graffiti (the number doubtless hovers around zero) that one of them carrying a can of spray paint isn’t cause for suspicion. The one white guy who does get punished for it is a performance artists who intended to write about the experience in The Atlantic. His race commits so few petty crimes in New York that he had to force the issue to get any notice from the law. So, the cops were right to ignore this buffoon.
Leftoids are fond of reciting their religious belief that blacks committing nuisance crimes — like trespassing — are handled more roughly by cops than are whites doing the same. What leftoids always fail to consider is that cops have good reason for the putative double standard; a black kid running across a suburban lawn is more likely to be heading on his way to a home invasion than is a white kid criss-crossing backyards. Those crime stats… they just don’t lie.

Secondly, there are very few whites in NYC. NYC public schools have 85% non-white students. The very few normal whites you see in Manhattan during business workweek hours commute from the clean white suburbs, I.e. Northern Jersey, Connecticut, Long Island, etc. Whites that actually LIVE in Manhattan are a dying breed, and even then, they are not the normal folk (i.e. super rich celebrities, models, etc.)

Exactly. His claim that he wanted to show “Whites don’t get arrested” falls apart completely when he has to dress in a suit and tie to avoid being arrested. A White dressing like a criminal would cause suspicion, just like a Black dressing like a criminal. A Black dressing in suit and tie would be treated with less suspicion, just like a White man in a suit – in fact, the Black in a suit would probably be treated much better.
What the socialists pretend to not know is that Blacks get preferential treatment all the time, especially in schools. Especially in college. They know that they can hand in a crappily written paper, and the teacher will still let them pass. Though I am heartened by the one story I heard of a teacher, a White woman no less, telling a Black guy in a college class, “This paper is terribly written. Do not think that I will let you pass just because you’re Black.” Everyone in the class knew exactly what she was talking about, because all the other teachers were walking on eggshells around the Black students.

Frisking policy comes down to Signal Detection Theory: you’re trying to find a signal (a criminal) among the noise (innocent passerby). So before being stopped, a person can be either, and the police have to decide which one he is. There are two types of error a policeman can make:
1) frisk someone innocent (false positive)
2) don’t frisk someone carrying an illegal firearm (false negative)
In this scenario, the two types of error are not equal. The consequences of missing an armed criminal (potential robbery/murder/etc) are greater than the consequences of frisking an innocent (hurt feelings). So it is understandable that the system has shifted to a detection paradigm with lots of false positives and few false negatives. Add to that prior knowledge (crime rates correlate with ethnicity) and your detection algorithm can be refined even further.
Also, for the graffiti experiment to be done properly, the hippy would have to compare four groups:
white guy in suit vs white guy in whigger vs black guy in suit vs black guy in ghetto wear. So far, he cannot claim any increase in effect size and link it to a cause (dress or skin color).

Another application of the theory, slightly more complex perhaps, is detecting where the Wall is.
We have data something like the following:
1. Women realize they aren’t getting marriage offers any more when they are 35.
2. It takes five years in today’s extended dating market for people to start expecting marriage offers.
3. Guys sometimes seek relationships with Cougars because they’re easy to pump and they are willing then to dump. So the woman isn’t told clearly that she is past the wall until she is way past it.
