Places like Brazil and the Congo have enormous economic potential just based on geography, climate, and natural resources. A place like Japan is mountainous (only 3% of the land area is arable), few natural resources, not located near major trade routes, subject to frequent catastrophic earthquakes and tsunamis. But Japan has the Japanese people who are more valuable than all of Brazil’s natural wealth.

It’s simplistic to say Hitler ‘killed’ millions of people. Same can be said of any wartime leader. Compare him to Soviet leaders like Stalin, Molotov, Kaganavich etc. who directly ordered mass murder of prisoners, the starving of whole populations and then went off to watch a movie. Hitler was nothing like that. You don’t read through the nightly conversations for about three years without forming a good idea of what he was like.

Not quite:
1. After Uncle Wolf was given power to rule by decree by the Conservatives (almost all of which joined the NSDAP afterward) and Nationalists in parliament, in order to stop the communist-led riots all over Germany that were a build-up to a communist takeover like in Hungary and Russia, Germany was boycotted by Britain, France, the U.S. and others. Economic warfare was devastating to Germany, which depended entirely on trade for its survival. The boycott was led by Jewish voices, like the World Zionist Congress: Google “World Jewry Declares War on Germany”, that was an American newspaper headline of the day. Germany was attacked this way, Germany did not start the attacks. Germany DID NOT start a war between the Powers, neither in the 1930s nor in 1914. Attacking a non-Power doesn’t count; that’s what all the Powers did, always.
2. Britain invaded Persia in 1941 (to get the oil), together with the Soviet Union. Does that remind you of anything? But no one mentions this act of aggression, which is exactly the same as the Germany-Soviet invasion of Poland. With the small exception that Britain had zero claims on Persia’s land, and there were no British provinces in Persia. Starting a new war between the Great Powers with Poland as an excuse was extreme hypocrisy.

3. The Germans noted that the Russians, the Americans, the British, the French, the Chinese and others all had empires that guaranteed them economic independence. Germany’s African colonies had been stolen by the other Powers, notably Britain and France, after those two empires attacked Germany in 1914. The Germans realized that they too needed colonies in order to be independent. It was called “economic autarchy”. However, when Germany did it, it was evil – as opposed to when Brits, French and Americans did it.
4. Hitler greatly admired Britain and repeatedly offered them peace, even when Germany had taken France and seemed to win. He frustrated his generals by always hoping that Britain would come to its senses and stop its attacks. He said on numerous occasions that he never wanted war with Britain. He also said that once Britain had agreed to peace, he would soon leave his post and retire. The media make a big deal of Germany’s “plan to invade Britain” (Operation Sealion), but this was a contingency plan written after Britain declared war – of course there would be such a document. But it was only half-hearted as Hitler never wanted an invasion of Britain and said so many times. Some preparations were made like moving ships to harbors, as long as they didn’t take resources from the rest of the war, but nothing substantial was done. In contrast to Britain, where the media and therefore the politicians wanted an invasion of Germany. By the way, Germany never had enough ships and never built enough ships for an invasion. Even had they wanted to, they couldn’t have invaded Britain. And still British school children are intimidated with scenarios from a supposed German invasion that Churchill “saved” Britain from by refusing to accept Germany’s peace proposals. (Which included leaving most of France, except for Elsass and Lothringen, German provinces taken in WWI).

5. The Germans in Czechoslovakia were more numerous than the Slovaks, but were treated as third-class citizens. They were like a prison population. Germany did well in taking back the Sudetenland. As for also taking the rest of that Brit-created country, yeah, that was imperialism, but no more than Britain and the rest of the world had always done. And actually there were many Czechs and Slovaks who were okay with that as the Tribe’s power in their country was broken. By the way, Hitler noted that the Czechs were as Western as Germans. (I forget the exact wording, but he liked the Czechs.)
6. Poland sought a pact with France to attack Germany THREE TIMES. The second time, Germany learned about it. The Polish de-facto dictator General Pilsudski sought a North Slavic union, “The Intermarum” (Between the Oceans), that would take land from Germany and the Soviet Union with Britain’s and France’s help. Note that Poland had already taken land from the Soviet Union when the Bolsheviks were new in power, so that’s why they were bold. Poland refused to give Germany access to the German provinces. Even Churchill admitted that Danzig rightfully belonged to Germany. In some places Germans were driven away from their farms, their ancestral homes, by Polish soldiers. There are pictures of Germans being beaten in the streets by the military. The Germans were forced to serve in the Polish army, a big deal at that time.

7. Germany simply asked for guarantees for the German lands, but were ignored. They gave Poland a 12-point document for discussion and asked Poland to add their own points if they wished. This was also ignored. The Polish foreign minister told the German ambassador that they thought Germany’s new army was a bluff: that they had new divisions but not enough trained soldiers to fill them with. (Remember that Germany had been starving because of the Versailles Treaty and the trade embargo, so thinking that the German army was weak was not a wild guess.) Poland had (false) guarantees from Britain that if they could make Germany attack first, Britain would immediately come to their aid so that Poland would be victorious, and could even take more German land. (Many Poles had moved into western Germany during the Weimar years. This could be used as a pretext to take that land.)
8. Hitler had been elected on a promise to reunite the lands and people lost in WWI with Germany. Furthermore, because of the trade embargo from most of the West, the Germans needed farmland. They believed it was only a matter of time before they would be attacked. With Polish refusal to give them guarantees for the lost provinces, they attacked to take them back. And also took more land, because the Soviet Union was moving in from the east and would take what they could. Note by the way that as Germany took Czechoslovakia, Poland’s dictator took part of northern Czechia. It was the height of hypocrisy to say then that attacking a country for land was morally wrong. (And I haven’t seen a quote from General Siludski ever saying that it was morally wrong. That’s something invented in the British and French press – even while they kept their own empires.)

9. And so Britain and France attacked, starting another war between the Powers. It wasn’t Germany. It is amazing that this little fact is “forgotten” in history books, so that most people don’t even know about it. “Germany attacked Poland!” Yes, the Powers invaded non-Powers all the time, and this was never an excuse for another Great Power to start a devastating war.
10. The Soviet Union attacked Poland, then Finland, the Baltic States, forced Romania to give up land, and invaded Persia in 1941 – together with Britain – without the Western Powers calling for attacks on the USSR. Of course, since the media were dominated by Jews, just like the Soviet machinery at the time. Stalin had an explicit strategy to make the Western nations fight each other, after which the Soviet Union could take all of Europe for communism. He moved the Soviet army to the border with Germany, far ahead of fortified positions. Away from the bunkers. In front of rivers, instead of behind them. The planes were out in the open, close to the border, instead of at their bases. That’s why the Germans could destroy so many of them in the first days of the war against the USSR, they were easy to see and bomb. The Soviet army was focused entirely on attack, not on defense. Germany, by the way, was not fortified in the east, and would have been easy to invade. Roosevelt and his Jewish advisors would have loved that, of course – they financed the Soviet Union. Had Germany not attacked the Soviets first, in a coalition together with Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, Croatia, Italy, Finland, Swedish volunteers in Finland, etc, the Soviet machine would have taken all of Germany. And then Eastern Europe. And Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, the defeated France. Spain was weak after the civil war and would have fallen, along with Portugal – because Britain and the U.S. would not defend them. After that? With Germany gone the Soviet Union could easily take all of Europe. It would have been Orwell’s Eurasia come alive. What you never hear about the war is that Germany’s preemptive attack on the Soviet invasion army saved Western Europe. The full truth about Soviet intentions has been erased from the history books.

I will comment only on Polish part.
Intermarium was not a North Slavic union. I was supposed to be defensive and economic pact for newly created states of central and southern Europe. When you have monsters like Stalin and Hitler for neighbors it pays to be prepared. That Pilsudski was plotting to attack Germans after Hitler came to power is only unsubstantiated rumor. But if he did he apparently had read in “Mein Kampf” what Hitler planned to do with Poles and other Slavic people.
No, Poland didn’t refuse Germans access to the Prussia. They could use sea and land routes to their hearts content. What they did refuse Germans was an exterritorial rail that would cut polish lands in two.
Poland also didn’t take land from Soviet Union. First during the Polish-Bolshevik war Soviet Union haven’t even existed. Secondly – precursor of the Soviet Union – namely Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic didn’t have any more rights to disputed lands than Second Polish Republic. Learn something about history and stop mix Russians with Byelorussians, Lithuanians, Ukrainian, Poles and other nations of the region. Or you are eager to spread the old communist lie that they together constituted one happy communist family? In any case, and luckily for everybody living there Soviets lost and went away for a while ( to sulk and plot how to conquer the world).
Germans with Polish citizenship were obliged to serve in Polish Army? This is outrageous and unusual! And there are pictures of poor Germans being beaten by polish military? How cute. There are as much pictures of Poles being beaten by Germans and driven from their homes. They were created by both sides for propaganda reasons. Poor Germans were also driven from their ancestral homes. Those homes for some reasons happened to stand right in the middle polish population centers.

Operation Barbarossa was a waste. The Wehrmacht, which could beat the Red Army in offensive operations while outnumbered 2:1 would have performed even more formidably if they lured Russia into defensive battles.

Depending on what you mean by ‘downhill’, the roots of WW II are found in WW I, or even earlier, in the smaller imperial conflicts of the 19th century.

Typical Anglo propaganda. Right down to the “Nazi” slur. You know where that comes from? It was invented by the communist party in Germany, then picked up by the Jew-loyal press in Britain. It is like saying “commie”. The real word, as shown in German and other languages, is of course Nazist. -ist is added to a word like that, in English too. It is very telling that even using the real word for Nazism in English makes the speaker a target.
Speaking of “psycho”, Churchill loved the killing of Dutch settlers in South Africa – where the British put them in “concentration camps”, inventing that word, and killing thousands of them through willful neglect. He bombed rebels in Mesopotamia with poison gas and wanted to drop anthrax bombs on them. He let thousands of British be slaughtered through his insanely reckless attack plan against Turkey, something he of course never apologized for. He prepared anthrax bombs to drop on Germany to kill as many German civilians as possible, even in 1944 when it was clear Germany was losing. (The war ended before he could execute the plan.) He let the sick “Bomber Harris” kill hundreds of thousands of German civilians when there was no tactical reason for doing so.
He and Roosevelt refused to accept peace from Germany, and refused to accept a German offer of surrender, demanding an unconditional surrender, which no country would agree with. This was to ensure that the war would go on for as long as possible. Churchill wanted to kill Germans, simple as that. He had wasted his family’s money and stood to lose the family mansion, when his debts were bought by a group of Jews who exercised political power behind the scenes. I don’t have their names on this computer, but their leader’s journal even mentioned this. From then on Churchill was their creature.
Churchill started the bombing of German cities to make the Germans retaliate in kind. The dumb public could then be made to support a continued aggression against Germany because “we must avenge our innocent victims!”. General de Gaulle wrote in his memoirs of a visit to Churchill’s mansion: he went to the backyard where Churchill stood shaking his fist at the sky, shouting “Why won’t you come!” That was before he had managed to make the Germans bomb British cities in retaliation.
Roosevelt, now. That’s one sick puppy. After doing his best to turn America in a communist direction, prolonging the Depression, he financed the Soviet Union and gave Britain warships when Britain was at war, a blatant crime according to American law. He conspired at Yalta to give Stalin as much of Europe as possible.
When the American forces invaded Italy and moved up the peninsula, he demanded that they move WEST into France instead of east. There was no reason to do so. Southern France was heavily fortified but cut off because of the Normandy invasion. Taking it meant a huge loss of American lives for no purpose. The only purpose was to give the Balkans to the Soviet Union. Roosevelt tried to hold back the army so that the Soviet Union could take all of Germany, but his own generals stopped that plan.
Roosevelt’s Jewish advisor drew up the “Morgenthau Plan” to kill off the German people, for the crime of standing up to communism. After the war German industries were looted of machinery, and the factories were destroyed. “Morgenthau’s boys”, all Jews, were everywhere, ordering the American officers to destroy the industries. The officers were astonished, as they stood at the border of the Soviet influence. Shouldn’t Germany be armed against a Soviet invasion? Only when Roosevelt thankfully died was his and Morgenthau’s plan stopped.
As for the Soviets, they raped more than a million women. More than in all of Europe’s wars combined. They raped German women, Austrian women, Polish women, Romanian women, Hungarian, Bulgarian, Finnish women, even Yugoslav women when they went through their area briefly. This is the greatest war crime ever committed in history. Furthermore, they drove 12 million Germans from their homes in Eastern Europe, with the help of the Poles, Czechoslovaks and others. Yeah, those evil Germans “stealing land”, right? These twelve million Germans had lived there for many generations and had no part in the German government’s policies. They had greatly helped Eastern Europe through their skilled craftsmanship and trade. They were therefore competitors to the Jews.
But go ahead, talk about “megalomaniac psycho” among the Germans like your teachers and propaganda books in school told you. That’ll show that “I’m not a Nazi! Please, don’t accuse me!” Right?

The “demographic death” meme of the Japanese people is far too common. In many ways the Japanese might benefit from a contraction in population as we enter into an overpopulated world of dwindling resources.
So what if Japan drops to say, 50 million people by the end of the century; Japan will still stay Japanese.
There is nothing wrong with selective breeding, population control, or below-replacement fertility for certain individuals in society. It could have eugenic benefits while simultaneously easing a population to more sustainable number.
The problem with Europe and the U.S. is not that our populations are contracting in an over-populating world: it is that we’ve imported our replacements.
Since Japan is not offsetting is declining population with non-whites, I’m going to assume Japan will stay strong and Japanese for the foreseeable future.

While stability is better a declining population of a law-abiding self-sufficient unitary people is far better than an exploding population of welfare-dependent orcs like what’s happening in America and much of Europe.

Japan is seriously overcrowded and, hey, with all those cool robots, they don’t need the same number of workers. A much smaller population will enable them to feed themselves too, which will be important at some point.

Japan is actually in serious trouble. They have some of the lowest birth rates in the world, and because they are not offsetting this with immigration, they have progressively fewer people to step into the workforce every year. Add on top of that an aging population (with the longest lifespans in the world, but fewer people to take care of them), and you have the makings of an economic crisis on your hands.
The real problem, though, is that the falling birth rates are a symptom of cultural decay. Traditional values have been displaced, the culture undermined, the average individual living a more selfish, self-centered life than in any point previous. Women not having babies is an indication that something has gone terribly wrong.
This is the slow death of Japan. Not just demographically, but culturally as well. It is incredibly sad.
(It will be interesting to see at what point the decline levels off, what measures the govt will eventually take to try and stop the slide, and so on. Unfortunately, China will probably nuke them out of existence before the nation stabilizes again)

When half of your population is 50+ years old, no one will be able to retire, and will work until dead or unable to, as it has been the rule for millenia. Add in the diminishing, more expensive natural resources, and a smaller, healthy, extremely educated population, and it may actually be an advantage in the future.
That is ti say that Japan, being such a unified, advanced and educated country, will be able to do that. Less advanced countries may suffer a different fate.

Went on a date with a girl in my hometown the other evening. I was just visiting for a few days, but don’t live too far away, really. We’re young so we kept it simple. Taco Bell and an evening at the park.

We chatted for a while and things went overall, pretty well, though she said she didn’t think I was listening to her because I switched topics often and was generally pretty aloof. I also think she took me as a judgmental type. Won’t lie, I am.
We wrapped up. She drove me home (hehe) and we had a brief makeout before I got out of the car. I cut the makeout short, wanting to leave her hanging a little bit.

All good questions. Value is a hard one to pin down, though. I’m a student. The value I have is self-worth and a big ego. I was definitely able to escalate with her, and I did, but not nearly as much as I should Have. She seemed like a good girl, so I kept it relatively clean. There was touching, and as I mentioned, the short makeout at the end. Comfort was easy, though. Playground antics, story telling, and so on. I felt there was a good connection overall.
