Comment Of The Week: American Dalit

March 7, 2015 by CH

COTW winner Mike writes,

Off topic, but I just finished watching Eastwood’s “American Sniper”. The fact that we live in a society which teaches our kids to idolize rappers and drug dealers, and yet I’d never even heard of this guy until today, depresses the shit out of me. It’s guys like THAT that we should be holding up to our kids as the ideal.

If anyone wants to know what a true Alpha looks like, that dude was it. From what I could see, his only flaw was that he was willing to go overseas and risk his life for a country that would have happily thrown him under the bus if he would have come back and said something to offend a fat, spoiled, worthless SJW feminist.

That kiss-off disclaimer at the end is the shiv that twists deepest. From what I know, Kyle was an honorable man… and that was his flaw. He was duty-bound to a corrupt elite and government that, not to mince words, hated his guts, and hates the guts of those like him.

One insurgent tactic to hit the enemy where it hurts is to turn the affections of the natural constituency of the US military — all those competent white men from the more vigorous remnants of the culture — against the idea that service to the traitors within is anything remotely honorable or brave. It is, quite the contrary, stupid. It’s very stupid to fight for effete pussyboys, grotesque feminists, and diversity quota ingrates sitting in cushy offices who work tirelessly day and night to put the heads of white men like Kyle on plates.

Sadly, this is what the US military has become. A vehicle for the self-flagellation of the non-elite white male. A caricature of what men should aspire to be: self referential satirical parody.

Oh, but Kylie got to kill. Unlike the lying portrait in the movie where he is presented as having human reactions to killing, he was a psychopath who loved to kill, as he wrote in his book. He didn’t care who. He wrote that he had the time of his life killing people and would have loved to keep doing it for as long as possible, if he hadn’t had to come home to his wife. (And smear Jesse Ventura with a false story to boost his book sales.) For him, today’s U.S. military was great, just what he sought. A chance to murder in an illegal war. What could be more fun? Certainly not joining a group that seeks to actually defend the United States, against the mass immigration that Kyle’s neocons push hard for. No, that would have taken actual courage, and he was a coward who only sided with those in power. For profit and for fun.

        Now, this is telling: http://www.alternet.org/culture/7-big-lies-american-sniper-telling-america

        2. The Film Invents a Terrorist Sniper Who Works For Multiple Opposing Factions: Kyle’s primary antagonist in the film is a sniper named Mustafa. Mustafa is mentioned in a single paragraph in Kyle’s book, but the movie blows him up into an ever-present figure and Syrian Olympic medal winner who fights for both Sunni insurgents in Fallujah and the Shia Madhi army.

Americans are too ignorant to know about different factions in the Middle East – as proven by how more than 70 percent of those who supported invading Iraq thought that President Hussein was behind 9/11, working with al-Qaeda. Which is like Downing Street working with the IRA “because they’re all Christians!”. The neocon media have worked hard on preserving the ignorance, though some have learned a bit with time. Showing a sniper working for different sides – an impossibility – serves the propaganda that “they are all the same”.

Meanwhile those who love the film vote for the neocon-loyal candidates who promote mass immigration in the U.S. and Europe. Like Bush did, urging the EU to accept Turkey as a member so millions of Turks could swarm Europe. Wait a minute, weren’t the neocons trying to “defend us from Islam”? Of course not. Their racial kin in European media are the ones who pushed for Middle Eastern mass immigration. Which Americans know nothing about.

        1. The Film Suggests the Iraq War Was In Response To 9/11: One way to get audiences to unambiguously support Kyle’s actions in the film is to believe he’s there to avenge the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The movie cuts from Kyle watching footage of the attacks to him serving in Iraq, implying there is some link between the two.

Kyle told more lies – seems to have been a habit. He claimed that when he was going away on a mission, he passed by demonstrators with signs calling military personnel “baby killers”. (Which of course they were. Whenever a resistance fighter was shooting from an apartment building in Iraq, the military fired missiles at the building, killing everyone inside. This was U.S. terrorism against the people, killing the innocent to make them give up the resistance.)

Poor, innocent soldier, right? Except that didn’t happen either.

        mpmacting.com/blog/2014/7/19/truth-justice-and-the-curious-case-of-chris-kyle

San Diego and Coronado, California are very pro-military areas. There are huge populations of active service and retired military people living there. A protestor with a “baby killer” sign would stick out like a sore thumb. That would also make not only the local news, but national news. And other vets would have reported the same thing on their own websites or chat rooms. None of that happened. There is no reporting, or evidence that there were ever any protestors with “baby killer” signs anywhere near San Diego or Coronado California. Or anywhere else for that matter. Never. Nor were there any pictures taken of those signs or news reports about them. Chris Kyle lied again.

….And another lie from Chris Kyle’s book, in service of the neocons. Chris Kyle found the WMDs!

“At another location, we found barrels of chemical material that was intended for use as biochemical weapons. Everyone talks about there being no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, but they seem to be referring to completed nuclear bombs, not the many deadly chemical weapons or precursors that Saddam had stockpiled.

“Maybe the reason is that the writing on the barrels showed that the chemicals came from France and Germany, our supposed Western allies.”

Those evil Europeans! Rename the French fries Freedom fries!

Except of course there were no WMDs, just like there were no carjackers for Kyle to shoot, no looters shot with his sniper rifle after Hurricane Katrina, no fight with Jesse Ventura (despite certain media promoting that demonstrably false story).

This WMD story is reminiscent of the story in the beginning of the invasion of Iraq, about Iraqi soldiers opening barrels of mustard gas to pour out over the battlefields. Ludicrous. But used to silence critics. That is how it’s always done – doesn’t matter if the lies are exposed later, in small print on the back pages. Maybe Kyle had heard of the gas barrels and figured that if some reporter could make up that story and get away with it, he could do the same. All to sell his book.

@ arbiter, wow really? Do you really think pacifists are going to sign up to be snipers? Or that they would not be ok with doing what they were trained to do? He was doing his job, he wasn’t in a position to ask if it was right or wrong or if the war was justified or not. He did what he was told. That’s how the military works, that’s what soldiers do. I am all for peace, but I do not for a minute try to pretend men willing to do what Kyle did are not necessary in a dangerous world or that I do not have them to thank for my safe and secure life. I wish we could all get along and that war never happened, but I know too well that is not how the world works.

Is there any chance that Kyle really did kill looters from the top of the Super Dome after Katrina?

Of the myths and lies that he told, that story is the one that seems like it almost could be true based on the situation and context.

Arbiter, is it possible that he could have done that?

Really, a person with a “baby killer!” sign would make the local news, be on a blog, etc? It isn’t possible because San Diego is in a pro-military area? We had large crowds of people peacefully hold signs outside of our base in Florida calling us baby killers, etc. Was it on the local news? No. Blogs? Um, no idea. Seriously, who cares? They are entitled to their opinions and viewpoints. Just because it didn’t make the news or recorded online, doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

There’s still an ultra patriotic America that exists in large numbers within the society, that believes America is the America of yesterday, a moral country that can be great again if it can remove from its hide the fungus which infects it. With this I agree, but to these people Arbiter’s psychology is an alien hellscape. Most watch Fox, listen to Rush and think themselves informed citizens. The Truth flows through the right, however the great majority of these peoples’ intellectual curiosity will find fulfillment within the mainstream right tard-carnival.

Meanwhile the country browns unabated, men become women and wish to be led by same, republicans shove before their constituencies the next minstrel show, bloodlust for war intensifies and the culture in general degrades.

He can’t say everything that he wants to say [for a variety of reasons] but he is definitely moving the EIB ship of state in a different direction. If you listen carefully, then you hear every manner of Red Pill Truth Speak in Rush nowadays. Heck, even O’Reilly and Hannity are coming around to Truth Thought. Arbiter, has it dawned on you that in assessing the carnage which is US Foreign Policy under Obama, Kyle – had he lived – might actually have AGREED with you? What Kyle was doing would only make sense if he had thought that he was laying the foundation for a peaceful, sane, and moral outcome in the Middle East – not if he thought that he was paving the way for ISIS to come in and butcher everyone.

tldr; == Don’t presume to know what he would have thought of this disaster.

Lighten up. It is hard for a movie producer to keep production costs under control. “Mustaffa” was a prop from Austin Powers that was available and easy to cut&paste into the script.

As for “baby killers” I have heard men who actually served in Vietnam parroting lines from certain well-known movies as if the rest of us hadn’t seen them too. And having served in the “airborne” as an airdrop tech have sat silent while guys regaled me with absurd tales of their parachute training on posts that had no such facilities. Had one fellow who served on a boat claiming straightfaced “Did you see that Chuck Norris movie about rescuing POWS, that was really about the specops work I did for the SEALS”.

I will say this, my sons and I have watched the Rambo trilogy countless times. It could only have been improved by adding Nicholas Cage, otherwise it is perfection in every line, every action sequence.

And although a veteran myself, I don’t take personal offense to the “scum” comment.

Aha! Here comes the inevitable internet conspiracy dump from the kids who are too cool for conservative (I’m sorry, I meant Ne0kON) school.

Ease down, you frustrated fringy fuckwits. In another age you’d be at the post office handing out carbon copies of Lyndon LaRouche’s newsletter or on the corner with a sandwich board, hand bell, and that glassy look in your eye that no child has to be taught to avoid.

What’s telling is you can never be disproved: there is always One Level Deeper. You are living the X-Files, sniffing out conspiracy when the real threat is right in front of everyone’s face, same as before, not that exciting.

We stay affiliated with fellow conservatives because no one man can accomplish anything of lasting importance in one lifetime or on his own. Not Timothy McVeigh, not Anders Brevik, not Elliot Rodger — though they tried their best. It is simple logic to ally oneself with people who have other ideas so long as we are all moving in the same, agreeable direction. That doesn’t exhaust our options, there is plenty to do individually. But it does preclude spinning pure fantasies about people who are on your goddamn side just to make yourself feel special. As though you’re one of six people in the world truly In The Know, but only because the assassins haven’t gotten to you yet.

Life is more prosaic than you want it to be. If there were a lid to blow off of things, you wouldn’t be doing the blowing. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

Chris Kyle was an honorable man and the very definition of alpha male if there ever were one. You, Orbiter, are a runt who isn’t fit to touch the hem of his fatigues. That you would take this opportunity to defecate a turd-tome of non-sequiturs on the occasion of honoring a man far better than you demonstrates just how disconnected from reality you are. It’s hilarious that you think the rest of the planet is suffering from your very personal schizoid condition.

His ex-gf cheated on him, if the movie is to be believed.

What’s the alternative? The utopian fantasy of a separate peace, a breakaway nation of angels with purest virtue? So conceived and dedicated in blog commentary?

This isn’t about ideology, it’s about the folly of perfectionism — raising standards above not just what the era can yield but above what average human beings can bear. It’s a sign of a fundamental lack of seriousness about what threatens us.

The problem isn’t ideological. It’s strategic.

We don’t accomplish anything significant by declaring war on those who would otherwise be allies. They are not thoroughly corrupted or unsalvagable, it is only feverish thinking that makes them seem so. And then a few of us get together in a tiny place like this and work each other into a lather. The paranoia grows like mold.

None of our allies are perfect, and attempting to unify through purity tests keeps our group small and cultish and addicted to the end of the world (I look forward to it! Poolside!!). There are allies of convenience everywhere that we categorically dismiss them for one paranoid reason or another. Women, Jews, Negroes, half-breeds, deviants, spastics, conservatives-in-name-only, even heathens of the crescent moon — are all allies of convenience when taken a certain way.

We have to become large enough to know how to channel the energy of erstwhile enemies toward our ends rather than refusing to recognize the Union won (and was always going to win). This site itself is dedicated to fashioning one of those modern enemies into allies, reintroducing them to their role. Leading women or Africans to an understanding of their true nature is not a bad thing! It is their salvation. It makes their lives better. Win-win-win-win-win. Same goes for the rest of this lumpy, rancid “melting-pot.” Our enemy has asked too much from people who do not measure up to the prerequisites of freedom. We can help remedy that imbalance in our favor. And their favor.

One is otherwise becomes a clown, like this Fedora.

I mean, you sympathize with his cause while you intuit how preposterous he is, how impossible he has made the situation for himself and us. Why? He is a utopian no different from a Marxist, a character straight out of Huxley, Orwell, or Rand. He is ridiculous from the start because he is not responsible to the world outside himself. He is just an emoting machine with the imagination of a sci-fi novelist.

Enough about the end game, and how far away we still are from it. How about getting from A to B, then to C, before insisting so vehemently on the character of Z?

… or perhaps I’ve been listening to too much Wagner, and taken to heart the lessons learned all-too-heavily by Wotan…

… a compromise of ideals, a compromise of Law, a compromise of the very pledges which became engraved upon the staff and the heart… and which gave authority…

… a confederacy of temporarily useful, yet ultimately deadly enemies… and the only way out in the end is to allow the false fortress to crumble under the weight of its deceits and compromises…

Chris Kyle was a psychopath. The movie lies and presents him as troubled about killing, but he declared that he loved to kill. If it hadn’t been for his wife, he would have spent as much time as possible in Iraq, just killing, he said. Sick freak. He didn’t care who he killed, he wanted “to kill anyone with a Koran”. That’s hundreds of millions of people – and only less than one percent of them ever opposed the Washington-run globalist machine that attacks Israel’s target.

Even after the U:s. had propped upup pro-Israeli tyrants across most of the Middle East, and killing half a million Iraqi children with starvation santions (Albright said it was “worth it”) because Hussein had given some money to the Palestinian resistance, more than 60 percent of Gulf residents saw the U.S. favorably. In the past, much more than that had been positive toward the U.S. And these were the people Kyle wanted to kill, for “having a Koran”. Freak.

He was a proven liar. He claimed that he shot two robbers dead at a gas station, shot them under his arm like in an action movie. When the police arrived, his driver’s license told them to contact the DoD. ’cause he’s got a “license to kill”, right? He claimed police all over the country sent him admiring letters, thanking him for “keeping the streets clean”. Truth: it never happened. He lied. No police report, no letters, no surveillance footage at the gas station, nothing.

He went on to lie about climbing on top of the Superdome with a friend during Katrina, setting up sniper rifles to kill dozens of looters. Of course, another lie. That never happened.

Worst of all, he lied to smear Jesse Ventura, a REAL patriot, who opposed the illegal wars for the Israeli lobby. He wanted to destroy Ventura’s reputation, so he made up a story about Ventura, a former SEAL, badmouthing dead SEALs in a military bar, saying he was glad they died. And when the heroic Kyle told him to be quiet because people were mourning, the evil Ventura picked a fight, whereupon the gallant Kyle floored him with one heroic blow. He said Ventura got a black eye and was laughed at at a SEAL party later. Truth: never happened. Pictures show Ventura with no black eye. He was never in the bar, Kyle never met him. He lied.

This smear was used to promote Kyle’s murder-glorifying book. His handler at the publishing house called it “hot hot hot!” He was put on talk shows to push the story, falsely identifying Ventura as the man in his book. THIS was what pushed sales.

Ventura rightly took him to court. It is very difficult to prove libel, but this was a clear-cut case. And naturally the pro-neocon media then smeared Ventura for attacking the poor little sniper. Especially after the psychopath was killed by another psychopath. “How can Ventura do this to the poor widow?” A widow who had helped push the lie.

The widow also lied about giving most of the profit from the book to veterans’ causes. Only a small amount went to charity, she and her lying hubby pocketed the rest.

But, do go watch the propaganda and drool over all them cool guns. I understand it’s necessary for the rah-rah patriotards: having been proven wrong on everything, you need some new “hero” to rally around instead of facts, so you can keep drooling over the wars. Where tens of thousands of Americans have been killed or maimed, and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis were murdered, by globalists who also strangled Iraq, Syria and Iran economically. That’s why ISIS could grow in the region – helped by the U.S. destroying prosperous states.

But – “they hate us for our freedom!” Right? And “Saddam Hussein was behind 9/11!” The majority of the people who supported the invasion thought that, more than 70 percent. LOL Idiots.

Same people who after four months of daily coverage last year couldn’t find Ukraine on a map. Placing it in Britain, France, Africa, China, Southeast Asia, South America, Alaska, middle of the U.S. And the farther away they placed it, the more did they support “military intervention” on behalf of the U.S.-funded coupsters in Ukraine. Against that “fascist” Putin who is “another Hitler”. This shows that the biggest neocon supporters, people who cream in their pants over the false Kyle movie, are also the most ignorant when it comes to foreign policy.

Hey Raven, here about his completely fabricated story about Jesse Ventura. He uses the insulting name “Scruff” in the book, thinking he would avoid being sued that way, while he identified the character as Jesse Ventura several times in the media, which was what made his book sales take off.

        http://mpmacting.com/blog/2014/7/19/truth-justice-and-the-curious-case-of-chris-kyle

And on and on. Scruff said he hates America and that’s why he moved to Baja California. 9/11 was a conspiracy.

        And on some more.

The guys were getting upset. Finally, I went over and tried to get him to cool it.

“We’re all here in mourning.” I told him. “Can you just cool it? Keep it down.”

“You deserve to lose a few,” he told me.

I was uncharacteristically level-headed at that moment.

“Look,” I told him, “why don’t we just step away from each other and go on our way?”

Scruff bowed up again. This time he swung.

Being level-headed and calm can last only so long. I laid him out.

Tables flew. Stuff happened. Scruff face ended up on the floor.

Typical neocon tactic: smear the true patriots with false stories. The story was proven false beyond any doubt in court. You didn’t know that, did you?

        4. The Real Chris Kyle Made Up A Story About Killing Dozens of People In Post-Katrina New Orleans: Kyle claimed that he killed 30 people in the chaos of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, a story Louisiana writer Jarvis DeBerry calls “preposterous.” It shows the sort of mentality post-war Kyle had, but the claim doesn’t appear in the film.

        5. The Real Chris Kyle Fabricated A Story About Killing Two Men Who Tried To Carjack Him In Texas: Kyle told numerous people a story about killing two alleged carjackers in Texas. Reporters tried repeatedly to verify this claim, but no evidence of it exists.

Note that he wasn’t content with making up a story about killing two carjackers. He took it as far as he could. He shot the two under his arm in quick succession, movie-style. His drivers’ license instructed the police to shut up about it and call the Pentagon instead. Police all over the country sent him letters “thanking him for keeping the streets clean”.

Would a normal person make up a story like that? Normal people might lie when they brag, but to this degree?

And would normal people make up a story about climbing up on the Superdome and shoot dozens of looters with a sniper rifle? As if he could go anywhere and shoot anyone without the police interfering (the police being stationed by the Dome) because he was a Sniper. It seems that in his mind that put him on the same level as the main character in an action movie, that can do anything he wants because he’s the main character.

When Muslims become a majority in this country your nightmares will come true. You will have to convert to their worldwide cult or be killed. Thanks to our bleeding heart liberals who give them asylum en masse, this nightmare is inevitable.

The only thing the Muslims have correct is control of their women. The liberals are in power in this country because of the female voters. The loss of conservative values and national pride started when women started choosing our tribal leaders.

It’s entirely possible that – had he lived – Kyle would have become even more Red Pill than any of us. As Arbiter correctly stated, Chris Kyle was a pschopathic killer who joined the military so could legally murder innocent people. CK would have never turned red pill, CK was a not a patriot at all and I imagine would have loved to pull a Lon Horiuchi if real patriots ever tried to take the country back. Kyle enjoyed killing innocent people. This man loved the current regime because it allowed him to kill like Ted Bundy with impunity. Eddie Routh appears to have been a far sympathetic character who wanted to protect his country and cracked under the reality of what was happening in the Middle East.

He half-knows everyone who depends on him thinks he’s a contemptible sucker, but nobody else in sight can keep the lights on so he keeps on pushing the boulder up the hill. Because “somebody has to”. Because he thinks its right to do the right thing in return for nothing.

Kyle wasn’t “duty bound” to the government or the elite. Yes, he took an oath to obey the civilian government’s orders in the person of the commander-in-chief. (Notably, officers do not make that same promise.) But that is a derivative duty of his primary or controlling oath, which is to the country.

All members of the military take an oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” Which is why it is a moment of great importance when we stop calling the Left our opponents and begin referring to them as the enemy — in this case, domestic.

[S]ervice to the traitors within is [not] anything remotely honorable or brave. It is, quite the contrary, stupid. It’s very stupid to fight for effete pussyboys, grotesque feminists, and diversity quota ingrates sitting in cushy offices who work tirelessly day and night to put the heads of white men like Kyle on plates.

If only it were that simple. The armed forces couldn’t function if taking the oath meant being considered a coward or “anything remotely honorable” whenever the civilian government changed direction. The military is an instrument, a passionless tool to effect ends determined by others, the more unquestioning the better. “Stupid” is at best a distant consideration resolved by civic ballot. The fecklessness of civilian leadership has nothing whatever to do with a man’s solemn and sworn honor — unless it becomes crystal clear that “When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them.”

Whatever the clarity of that dire circumstance should be today, it simply is not so cut-and-dried a choice for the grunt. And that’s our fault.

The enemies of our constitution are internal. And they control the government, law, media, printing money, etc. We are not living under the US Constitution in any sense of the word.

There is no protection for monorities, which was the main goal. Minority, of course, is property owners. They need protection from the tyranny of the majority we have today.

Except we don’t even have that. The media is supposed to be the fourth estate that is anti big government, against government’s natural slide towards communism and lack of freedom.

The leftist control of both media and government alone is a MASSIVE problem that explains much of the problem. There is no voice with any power that can speak out against feminism and crazy equalist bullshit that is pumped hardcore into kids starting at age 3.

Because of game I have been meeting a lot of women under 25 lately. These millenials are so far brainwashed into leftism it’s difficult to describe. They are like programmed robots.
But today the same group of evil Jews controls both the media and the government AND all big companies that control public brainwashing, such as Twitter, google, facebook, etc.

Even the Wall Street journal and Fox News. Conservative alternative? Lololozlolzlolz

Funny how it’s “expected” to fight for the Israeli lobby against the few Middle Eastern targets not run by U.S.-funded, pro-Israeli tyrants, the few M.E. countries that have supported the Palestinian resistance as the Izzies take the last 22 percent of their land through “settlements”, destroying their infrastructure and even beating and sometimes shooting them randomly in the street to provoke a reaction.

Yeah, fighting for that is “expected”. But not to join an organization that seeks to halt mass immigration, in the U.S. and in Europe. Because that is the second leg of the neocon agenda, as witnessed by the GOP now. And by their buddy parties in Europe, and by neocon media. Mass immigration for the West, and racial supremacism for the homebase, Israel. So a rah-rah patriot will ignore the mass immigration and go fight the Lobby’s wars. Very patriotic.

It was at his WIFE’S insistence that he ended up seeing a shrink, and ultimately letting his guard down and allowing himself to be vulnerable again. Yet he was still involved in a deadly game, handling PTSD veterans.

My take is that the wife feels guilty about pushing him to let his guard down, and that’s why she’s out there making such a big show about honoring his memory.

American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History, the ghost-written memoir for which Kyle claims primary authorship, offers convincing testimony that Kyle not only failed to display genuine courage in Iraq, but was incapable of recognizing it when it was exhibited by desperate patriots seeking to evict the armed foreigners who had invaded and occupied their country.

Both with the Cathedralese “we’d all be speaking German” canard AND the homoerotic projections about sucking cock. (((still shakin’ it)))

I got news for you, bub… right now we’re all speaking Ebonics and pidgin Spanish… AND figuratively doing that other thing on a cultural and political level.

This is what the enemy does. It injects politics into every personal judgment and cannot recognize virtue in an honorable opponent. It is beneath us.

A man may be honorable in the service of a cause we don’t recognize as good. He may not be honorable in the service of evil, but condemning the modern United States as in league with the devil is, again, a justification you get from the fever swamps on the Left. It is also manifestly untrue. Even despite our many diversions and backwards efforts and dumb choices, the United States has been and continues to be, on balance, a force for good in the world. The very fact that you and the Left get away with savaging its nature is evidence of its magnanimity.

We are not all speaking Ebonics and pidgin Spanish. We are, in fact, speaking here freely about how to avoid that future fiasco. I have faith that we can avoid disaster because faith is a prerequisite to salvation: why lift a finger to save what we believe to be unsaveable? It is easier to diagnose the disorder than it is to cure it, so many of us get caught in a loop of inactivity and complaint.

We have to avoid launching every disagreeable issue into the politisphere and universalizing it like a categorical imperative. That is the side of the devil, who knows spreading the lie that “The Personal is The Political” dissolves the “mystic cords of memory” that keep us united — or, if you prefer, United.

This commenter Travis Bickle is on our side. To shame him for “Cathedralese” is disingenuous and obtuse. Honoring stand-up men for their courage is an entirely separate discussion from how that courage was used (or manipulated). And the high-level connection between courage and cause is a yet another discussion in itself.

I cannot agree with your assessment of the US as a “continued force for good” in the world, merely because there are worse places.

And as far as what I’m seeing of the downward slide of pop culture (a true “force” in this society), yes… we ARE indeed speaking Ebonics and pidgin Spanish…

… as well as that alien Esperanto that most call ‘texting’.

You know, sorta like how those much-heralded guys did at Lexington & Concord, that time when the gummint of the day came ’round to put ‘em back in their place?

But it was ever thus, and ever will be thus, till kingdom come.

Not optimism (dread modern term) but the virtue of Hope or Spes and magnanimity are essential to any victory. Without hope we can’t truly begin, without magnanimity we isolate ourselves. We don’t curmudgeon our way to success. We unite ourselves to the triumph He has already performed, Who gives us victory. The Old Account was settled long ago. The Sturm und Drang will in time will pass away.

This world is broken. We are pilgrims in a cess pool. That knowledge helps us keep perspective about the gloria mundi and not give our spirit over to it. There is devilry everywhere and in every era, taking the forms most appropriate to the age to cause maximum ruin.

Life is too great to give an ounce of it to cynicism. That’s a no-brainer for anyone whose eyes have seen the glory, who’s watched the vintage of wrath trampled out, who’s read the fiery gospel writ in burnished rows of steel, who’s seen the hero born of woman crush the serpent with his heel.

It matters what you marry your spirit to.

This is not “honoring men for their courage”… this is Cathedralese in the most tiresome sense of the “we’d all be speaking German” stamp… and with that extra smarmy South Park dialect, to boot.

Bickle was making a cliched reference to great military victories of his country’s past. That you disagree with the significance or even the propriety of those victories has nothing to do with his intention. That’s what’s disingenuous or obtuse. He was emphasizing the importance of and honor in defending one’s country, not making a sneaky attack on behalf of the “Cathedral.”

His phrasing uses well-known cliches. You have performed the equivalent of condemning a phrase like “welshing on your bet” or “chinaman’s chance” for being racist. Those terms are not evidence of deep racism any more than Bickle’s was evidence of being an agent for the enemy.

Now, if you want to argue about the unconscious celebration of certain events you find unpalatable, that’s another story. But policing the language for insufficient awareness is the other side’s game. Suffice it to know that cliched phrases (and thinking) is not the final word on a man’s loyalty in this fight.

Well, having used “chinaman’s chance” myself often times here at the chateau, I don’t recall condemning the use of such phrases.

And when I say someone is using Cathedralese shaming language, it’s just as likely they’re unwitting participants in the brainwashing that has occurred over the past several generations.

I hold a special disdain for that “we’d all be speaking German/Japanese” canard, as you might have noticed.

But I don’t believe I’ve ever made Bickle out to be an enemy agent… more of what I would consider a “useful fool”.

And yes, I admit the irony that, in a meat-world conflict, he and I would probably be sharing the same foxhole. It’s only Cyberia that makes strange non-bedfellows.

The veneration of soldiers in the middle east is Beta as fuck.

It’s not like they were fighting the Nazi’s over there, really how “tough” is it to roll into a mudhut town with tanks, armed to the teeth and kill a few stone-pelters with a drone from a distance.

Like i said, it’s not like they’re fighting anyone that can fight back.

Saying the soldiers in the middle east are “alpha” is the same as saying that some psycho who has the “balls” to strangle a kitten to death is some form of heroism, because the kitten may have scratched his hand or something.

When your force is so disproportionate, it doesn’t take “balls” to fight.

I might as well take a can of insecticide and kill an ant-hill with it, and subsequently strut around with my arms in a V-pose screaming “Victory is mine, look how Alpha i am”

If the American army had any real fucking balls, they would pick a fight with the Kim’s in N-Korea, who DO have heavy armaments.

But for not so mysterious reasons, they stay the fuck away from N-Korea.

How it fits into the myth vs reality aspect is the continued ‘liar/psycho/dark triad’ = alpha. Lying is weakness, plotted manipulation is weakness.

        But hey YMMV.

The assumption of his being “a liar and a psychopath” is contestable to say the least, but in any event, that’s not why he is considered a hero. He is considered a hero for his courage, his coolness under fire, his skill, his right judgment, and the protection of fellow countrymen in a dangerous place. His accomplishment goes beyond mere competence to, in some cases, unparalleled excellence.

More Americans have seen his movie than any other that opened last year, and it’s not because they’re celebrating his Dark Triad. Nor are most commenters here. (Are any? Which?)

In any event, those who celebrate clinical disorders and deep neuroses are fools exaggerating to make a point, and unaware of their own exaggeration.

Can you show how people who talk badly about the YKW are treated comfortably? Are they treated comfortably at work, college, and by the government? Why does speaking against the YKW get you thrown in jail in most of the West? The reason you say nothing about the YKW is because you are a pussy who wants to be comfortable. To complain about feminism, Hollywood, and the media and not see the YKW leading the charge takes a special kind of asshole or coward.

        Pretty much.

And getting thrown in jail may not have gotten to the Gulag stage yet, here in the West…

That connection is so insanely tenuous, and, if you know any actual Jews, you’d see that they can’t keep their own shit together, much less bend the entire west to their secret collective will.

You’re a pussy who has lived a comfortable life, because you don’t have to deal with any real threat to your life. “Speaking against YKW gets you thrown in jail all over the west!”

It is safe to say that Orwell is turning in grave overwhelmed by jealousy. How in the hell he could not come up with such a brilliant concept as “a framework for promotion of tolerance which defines the limit of tolerance”

        ——————————————————————————————————
“We need practical solutions and so we have prioritised the adoption of the European Framework National Statute for the Promotion of Tolerance.”

This Model Law, drafted by leading European experts and legislators, and supported by the EJC, defines the limits of tolerance, which is the demand for security. This is intended to be a pan-European law that for the first time deals with not only the general commitment to tolerance, but defines the values that needs preserving and the limitation of tolerance towards
minority groups who risk the security of other minorities and of their host countries.

The Raven has modern American connotations: “Quoth the Raven, ‘nevermore’.” – Edgar Allen Poe.

It also has ancient Viking connotations: Odin’s Ravens enabled him to see all at all times, and also acted as his messengers.

You don’t know much about ravens. You’ve made the assumption that he’s a black man because he chose a black bird as his monicker. That ain’t necessarily so.

And I forgot to post the “Native American” connotations of the Raven.

“In the mythology of many Northwest Indian tribes, Raven is honored as a culture hero. He is a revered and benevolent transformer figure who helps the people and shapes their world for them, but at the same time, he is also a trickster character and many Raven stories have to do with his frivolous or poorly thought out behavior causing trouble for him and the people around him. Raven is noted for negative traits such as gluttony, greed, and impatience as well as for his heroism and great deeds.”

Note that the Raven is generally seen at the top of totem poles, indicating his relative importance.

    It pays to lie. Million$.

What catapulted American Sniper into the limelight was leveraging the Jesse Ventura lie. Backed by the publisher’s push, CK fanned the flames on MSM playing up the JV bullsh1t story. Sales soared immediately thereafter.

JV won a civil case against the CK estate. The slut widow is appealing. Doubtful she’ll win. In addition JV launched a civil suit against the publisher and is positioned well to win that. The hardest of cases to win: defamation for enrichment by reckless disregard of persons character.

Basically the publisher pushed through the JV lies in the AutoLieOgraphy and did no due diligence in fact checking. It almost seems like they rolled the dice- as if knowing by leveraging JVs name they’d $ell many copies and take their chances in litigation.

Fact remains however CK is a liar- and that’s the reason the masses know who he is. Not because he sniped a bunch of derka derks in the name of Ammurrrika.

Hero, eh… Liar…100%. Not just an embellishing insecure ego stroker, CK is a straight up bullshit on toast lying opportunist with no shame. Say what you will about JV or CK, the facts are in on this one and JV is in the right to defend his name and establish the truth.

While I’d rather have the youth look up to a CK than some rap hip hop ni66er, I’d also want them to know the truth. There is no honor in coming home from war only to shame a fellow servicemen for profit with a bull$hit story.

Also to note CK and wifey were in divorce proceedings when he died. Lol. And you know his slurr widow is just lurrrrrving all the fame and fortune from the book and film royalties.

Ya…nobody gives a sh1t about the truth. America likes a hero.

    Murrrica!

I’m not so sure we should be lionising a man like Chris Kyle. This blog is well-written and erudite, and one of the tenents of red pill philosophy is to be a well-read, informed man who eschews mainstream groupthink. If Chris Kyle had perhaps followed this ethos and – oh, I don’t know – perhaps picked up a book and read something once, he may have realised within 0.8 seconds that marching into a foreign country with a gun in an illegal war – to mow down people whose defense of their nation was their legal right – at the behest of corporate America and the self-serving American military industrial complex, might not have been the sanest thing to do.

Even if he wouldn’t have killed anyone ala Ruby Ridge, he would still be a scumbag. Killing muzzies (or, in fact, ANYONE) is only good if they have it coming. I doubt this holds true for the guys who died at his hands.

ho, you’re a muslim, so obviously it sticks in your craw in re American foreign policy and the deadly men who carry it out… your people, your blood, your anger… understandable.

My point is/was/remains that these elite military “heroes” are the same people who can and have killed innocent white moms with children in their arms… which sticks in my craw because THEY’RE my blood.

My anger is a bit hotter when it’s MY ox getting gored… if I don’t sound sorry enough when yours get gored, well… them’s the breaks.

But you should at least appreciate the fact that I’m not touting any ‘Murrican ‘heroes’ for killing alleged enemies, either foreign or domestic… because frankly, I see neither as justified at this juncture.

That said, on the scale of balances, there’s at least a small handful of justification for some of the activities overseas… but can you name one rational justification for killing Vicky Weaver?

Problem is, this fellow might have just as easily and willingly killed a white mother holding her infant in the backwaters of the Pacific Northwest, had he been ordered to do so.

Ludicrous. This is ideology above reality. And it’s a huge source of paranoia, as though the good ol’ boys — the Jacksonian Scots-Irish and God-fearing Christians who comprise the esprit de corps of the military, particularly at the elite level — were so corrupted as to be rendered unable to make moral judgments. Preserving their duty to judge rightly despite pressure to the contrary is what the American Sniper phenomenon is all about.

What’s going to save our decline from becoming complete catastrophe is the very integrity of our warrior class that you are certain does not exist. But it does exist — which is why you know Chris Kyle’s name. Everyone who celebrates his life celebrates virtue in difficult circumstances, even if his is a case of, “When the legend becomes fact, print the legend.” It’s not just bad strategy to align yourself against one of the last cultures on our side. It’s not just nearsighted to malign the character of the only modern institution still possessing the combative ethos necessary to triumph in this Cold Civil War. It’s a sacrilege.

You are declaring yourselves enemy of my country to assuage petty and distant fears of losing your race — a real concern, but not a proximate one that must dictate all tactics in the present. You undermine your own cause in the long term to take false comfort in the short. It’s abominable, even if you were Brave Truth Tellers, but you’re not even that. You exaggerate a small contextual truth into a universal, ideological code-key and then apply it crudely to present circumstance. In the meantime you sell out your country to a “greater cause” like any leftist ideologue would, who thinks he has bigger fish to fry than the preservation of the land of his fathers.

        Ludicrous.

Ludicrous only if it were an imagined scenario…

The fact is, Vicky Weaver did get killed by one of (ahem) “our” trained snipers, on gummint orders.

And when ordered to do so, “American” military and police will turn their scopes on fellows like you and I… and lose not one wink of sleep.

        The land of our fathers?

Maybe the fact that I’m only a first-generation American leaves me with less ardor for Old Glory… or maybe it’s just that I have lived to see the demise of the once-touted ‘American Dream’.

My takeaway from this post is not a pointless debate on Kyle’s character, but the nascent idea, which has to filter in to general public consciousness, that core Whites ought to decouple their loyalty from the Beast that they still think is America. This is a new front in the Red Pill rebellion.

[C]ore Whites ought to decouple their loyalty from the Beast that they still think is America. This is a new front in the Red Pill rebellion.

And here is where you cross the bridge too far. “The Beast” that you think replaced America is the product of an insular judgment in an age of communicative overload. You can pick and choose “evidence” off your laptop to make a case for anything while effectively isolating yourself from ever hearing a word contrary.

In other words: You have got to be fucking kidding me.

It’s time to renounce citizenship? It’s time to declare the American experiment such a failure that … what? We all have to move? Or do we have to perform a coup? Are these the alternatives you are laying the groundwork to make seem inevitable?

We created this country out of loyalty to the crown. The United States was born in English civil war. It was only when the crown explicitly refused our properly-ordered and legitimately-derived republican demands that we began formally renouncing the crown and declaring independence as a nation united. Other than not getting our way in all things, where has that happened today? We are letting off steam here. We are getting a cathartic fix. We haven’t done the necessary diligence to make a legitimate claim of tyranny. We have recourse other than revolution

You cannot be so susceptible to overheated, WWW-speculative theory for people to follow your schedule of armageddon. You have to present a legitimate case against the founders. You have to exhaust all options. You need much more heft behind you than connecting internet dots before you condemn yourself as a traitor.

You need to secure your legitimacy in ideas like, “We hold these truths to be self evident,” but all you’re presenting is “Bush Lied, People Died” OWS-level flimflam. Yes, we always must provide for the right and possibility of revolution — but your cavalier treatment of loyalty to your own country demonstrates your inability to go there. Loyalty means life and death. It means “our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.” It is not like changing phone providers.

If you shoot at the king, you must kill him. There are no half-measures here. Is that really your counsel? Or are you just trying to out-do the last fellow rhetorically?

Worst of all, you cede our glorious history to the goons. You sell your birthright for a mess of pottage. You let them have the last word on this world-bestriding empire, how it will be used and how it will be remembered. You throw the baby out with the bathwater. You hand over this “last, best hope” to apes and charlatans the minute they find a tiny toe-hold of power.

When white men wake up, you get Dresden and Hiroshima, Final Solutions, forced famine, new and heretofore unimaginable movements of death. We create a desert and call it peace. But instead of waking white men up, you are renouncing your formal civic bond with them and urging them to flee from fags, fops, twits, and trannies.

Lord Horatio Nelson was not exactly perfect. He exaggerated his exploits and cheerfully impregnated the wife of a British Official (she named the girl Horatia).
    And so on.
But this kind of waywardness merely describes normal human nature.
IOWs, the world is crammed with people with failings like Nelson, and apparently Chris Kyle. But Nelson deserves an 18 foot tall statue in the middle of London and Kyle deserved the 10 mile long funeral procession from Midlothian to Austin – where got the equivalent of a state funeral.

That bit about sheep-dogs knowing their own wolfish nature but channelling it for better purposes – is serious truth.

The boys who went to Iraq and Krapghanistan are not patriots — they’re young men who wanted an adventure and, in many cases, wanted to kill people. That’s all. They don’t deserve our respect. And no white man who’s paying the tiniest bit of attention would risk his life or health for our explicitly anti-white, anti-man, heterophobic criminal government.

A forebearer of mine was among the most heavily decorated PT boat commanders of the 2nd WW. I got to know him pretty well.
Without going into detail, I will just say that somethings naturally come in a package, all wrapped up together.
    Killing is done by killers.
He would forge orders to himself instructing him to attack flottilas of German F lighters. He figured that if he lost he would die and if he won they would not care.
He was right. He was most proud of his DSC from the RN.
See, Nelson was known for dis-obeying orders to withdraw and attacking instead. I grew up in a family that talked about that sort of thing at the dinner table.

I think a lot of the ideas presented in these comments have merit, but are presented as opposing views, when they shouldn’t be. The only one I see that really came to a useful conclusion was “PA” above.

Here’s the deal (in some ways I am just repeating here what CH said in previous posts on this topic from weeks ago):

    – Chris Kyle was a man. As a man, he had good points and bad points, great qualities and bad. I don’t think he was a loser, that’s for sure. I know some losers. Losers have trouble leaving the house, combing their hair, brushing their teeth, etc. A Navy SEAL is not a loser, by any definition.
    – As a man, he did a damn sight better than a lot of other people who claim to be “men” at being what in a classical sense was considered a man.
    – We need people like Chris Kyle. Come the revolution, right?
    – I am not sure we need people like Chris Kyle’s wife. She sets off my “fakir” sensors. I think she’s a solipsistic narcissist capitalizing on the patriotism of others. She’s a female, after all. She can’t help it. Be leery of her “patriotism”.
    – Kyle seems to have engaged in some fabulism (like the Jesse Ventura thing, etc.), and that is to be deplored. But a fabulist sniper that can shoot MOA or better is better than a perfectly honest sniper that cannot. Horses for courses.
    – Men of quality (especially men good at the “quality” of being able to kill) should no longer aspire to work for the US military.

P.S. Arbiter, I do like your posts and find I generally agree with them. However, a clarification (or two): We did indeed find WMDs in Iraq. The CIA then purchased them. It’s been published in a variety of magazines/newspapers now, both Leftie and Rightie. And… Saddam was indeed giving aid and comfort to terrorists (offering to pay rewards to the families of successful “Shahids”, etc.). I believe he did this generally as a cynical move, as I do not believe he was particularly “Islamic” in his faith or actions. He was more gangster than anything else – the classic “Strongman” archetype. But, importantly, neither of these necessarily mean that Saddam was some sort of mastermind of 9/11, and on that point we seem to agree. However, they need not connect Saddam to 9/11 to justify our (re)entry into Iraq. I have serious issues with our ME policies; however, if I had to fight al Qaeda I would much prefer to do it in the deserts of Iraq than in the mountains of Afghanistan (the land affectionately referred to as The Graveyard of Empires). I despise neocons as much (perhaps more) as I do Leftoid Commies (but I repeat myself) and jihadis, but at least what the neocons did here was intellectually consistent, in moving the fight to Iraq, given our military’s capabilities.

My first impression was to read this as Chris Kyle’s flaw was that he risked his life for the country of Iraq- as in he risked his life to fight Saddam and the fall out that came after Saddam’s fall while the Iraqis he freed would have literally thrown him under a bus if he were ever feeling down. By literally I mean like tied him up and thrown him in front of a moving vehicle to be run over.

I admire him for fighting for us. Or us in theory. Too bad these weren’t wars that benefited our country, SWJ ridden or whatever else it may be.

I guess I shouldn’t get irritated when the average commenter sounds like Arbiter or Mike.
Hey, Mike: so all the people you know who joined the military are scum? I hope we meet.

Because I know that only the finest specimens of manhood who have accomplished the most amazing things in their life are on the internet slandering dead American soldiers.
I bet both of you are bangin’ models and poppin’ bottles in the evening after counting your entrepenurial wealth, then lifting heavy and eating paleo.
Because with your charm and insight I see how you must really be “mpua’s”
–“Master” pick-up artists with manly and exciting lifestyles. Not like you two could be bitter losers with pot bellys who wouldn’t dare to bad mouth a live SEAL in person. I am surprised such successful, charming and insightful folks such as you are bothering to share your valuable opinions.
Who here thinks he could run, lift, jump, swim, fight or shoot like Chis Kyle? Who here,(well, besides Mike and Arbiter and their compadres) think they are really such superior specimens of manhood they can fairly talk trash about a dead SEAL with an amazing military record who isn’t here to defend himself?
I would like to meet the brave guys who said shit like this to Kyle when he was alive.
Really, so many of you come out at this point to vomit acid?
And I understand why Arbiter, Mike, et. al., take Jesse Ventura’s side in any argument with Kyle. After all, good old Jesse is a 9/11 “truther” so he clearly shares your deep insight into America.
When I was in the Marines,it seemed like every single one who had ever been in Vietnam, when he had enough beers, would tell a story where he “killed a gook with an e-tool” when his firebase, (of course the closest one to North Vietnam) was overrun. We joked that e-tools took more lives than M-16’s according to the stories we heard. Soldiers tell stories.
I read way more offensive comments and crap above than I heard from Kyle’s book.
Anyway, if any of the negative commenters above could fight or fuck, they wouldn’t be making shitty comments. Real men don’t say shit like that. Who the fuck with a decent, real life writes that no man who went to Iraq or Afghanistan is worth admiring.

You’re off to a great start sir anonymous gamma.

There are more dimensions here than the either/or of CK being a hero soldier or not.

Disregarding his fame, fortune and AutoBullshitography and looking purely at his military record from what we know: a highly skilled soldier and American patriot he was. And a much better icon than Chris Brown or the hip hop ni66er du jour for the youth to learn about and look up to.

However we wouldn’t be having this discussion if it weren’t for the fact he willfully and knowingly fabricated a story by defamaing another American soldier- in addition to a handful of other fantastical lies.

That’s a big difference compared to your camp fire stories over some brewskys.

Attack JV’s character and try to make this a splitting JV vs CK issue for your own frustration with other opinions. But you, as a marine should be owning the fact that CK’s defamation of JV has no honor. Your opinion of JV is not cause for excusing that fact.

An early Red Pill (anti-gov variety) moment for me was in the run-up to the Iraq invasion. I was watching Fox News because not librul, and Sheppard Smith did this thing where he showed a slice-of-life clip from Iraq television. In it, there were goofy looking regular Iraqi guys at a bowling alley with their families, bowling to a cheesy Arabic song that was playing. Smith chuckled and said something snide about the culture the libs are trying to protect by opposing the invasion.

Me, a Bush patriotard at the time, I thought: “why do you fee so compelled to destroy those harmless nice people?”

I find it hilarious how Klye is supposedly a hero because he killed innocent men defending their country from foreign invasion…because those men didn’t worship Christ or the West.

The standard argument that muzzies wish to slaughter Westerners is retarded: it is difficult to blame those in Iraq for such things when the US is getting away with murder internationally, literally. (let’s not mention the support for Israel)

There is the argument that leaving them alone wouldn’t make a difference, but when was the last time that happened? (no, Barbary pirate thugs who go MUH KORAN don’t count)

Simo Häyhä was a hero since he slaughtered scores or Russian invaders in the most difficult conditions while being woefully underequipped. He deserves the respect of anyone, even his enemies? Kyle? He participated in an invasion against a country that literally, LITERALLY, did nothing. Like, Nazi Germany had more justification invading Poland than the US did invading Iraq.

He made statements that put him sqaurely in the same category as barbarous ISIS scum by claiming that he would like to shoot every one holding a Koran. There is no difference.

If you needed any more evidence for his poor character, his ridiculous dishonesty and shameless profiteering should’ve tipped you off.

Being a formidable waster of human life is not deserving of respect, especially not when you are in lavish oversupply like most American killer for hire are.

All successful professional soldiers have looked for the big pay-day. It is naive to expect otherwise. And, sit down for this, they generally like to drink and fuck more than most guys.
Most of the great country house in England were the result of monetizing military glory, one way or the other.
And they mythologize their exploits, generally.
Shit, doesn’t anyone read Herodotus anymore?

It’s depressing that “red pill” sites are rallying points for the personality types you find in Leftist partisan’s. The perpetual adolescent, perpetually disappointed and angry and ever complaining. Believing like Elizabeth Warren that the economy is rigged and based on exploitation and deceit not productivity, innovation and competition. That the U.S. goes to war abroad only to enrich contractors at home and that Latin America can only be understood through the prism of the United Fruit Company.
Patriotism is out of bounds, boob bait for bubbas, right?
Otherwise, why does this site attract types who have the same raving version of America that Reverend Wright has? “God Damn Amerika!”
The utter, demented hatred that American Sniper causes among the Left is an interesting phenomenon.

A lot of the comments here seem filtered through Medea Benjamin and Code Pink or the manginas at ANSWER. Hint: copying the rhetoric and attitude of hysterical women and manginas is not a wise strategy.

You can read the book for yourself; and decide. I found NONE of Arbiter’s comments sustained, rather the opposite. Kyle seems VERY Alpha:

    1. His widow writes in the book that when she first me he told her drove an ice-cream truck for a living; he only admitted he was a SEAL when she pressed him. She relates that when first dating he would BS girls that he was a Dolphin Waxer, that Dolphins in captivity suffered skin degradation and needed their skin waxed.

    2. Kyle gives his reasons for joining the Navy and SEALs, he wanted adventure and excitement, his injuries as a rodeo bronc buster ended that career, he could not stand working in an office or at a computer and hated school.

    3. Kyle clearly suffers from PTSD in the book, blood pressure way up, heavy drinking after he left the SEALs. What bothered him was the men he knew who died right in front of him: the 18 year old Marine on top of him in Ramadi, the SEAL buddy at Sadr City.

    4. His wife’s main complaint was his stoicism and lack of letting her in; a far better way and more Alpha than beta male cloyingness.

    5. Kyle details that every shot he took had to be within the ROE, very restrictive and more so as the war went on. In his opinion, the ROEs were designed to protect Admirals and Generals from Senators and Congressmen. He regrets the lives he could not save by sniping. He “knows” how many official kills he had because every shot was documented with eyewitnesses, otherwise he would have literally faced murder charges.

    6. Kyle goes through shots he DID NOT TAKE: a kid dragging an RPG at Sadr City (he was not shooting a kid, was confident he’d kill the adult male who showed up with it later); spotters without weapons looking and peeking at US troop movements; men with weapons moving AWAY from the battle or US troops.

    7. The WMD Kyle mentions were rusty chemical not bioweapons stuff, and the neo con NYT has reported on aging Saddam era Chemical Weapons. Quote: “From 2004 to 2011, American and American-trained Iraqi troops repeatedly encountered, and on at least six occasions were wounded by, chemical weapons remaining from years earlier in Saddam Hussein’s rule.

In all, American troops secretly reported finding roughly 5,000 chemical warheads, shells or aviation bombs, according to interviews with dozens of participants, Iraqi and American officials, and heavily redacted intelligence documents obtained under the Freedom of Information Act.”

    8. Kyle had no real opinion on the justification for the War, as he did not care: he went into battle where he was ordered. For the record, the Iraq War is entirely consistent with FDR’s 1944 promise to King Faisal to protect the Saudis, Ike’s overthrowing Mossadegh, the 1979 Carter Doctrine promising US Military dominance of the Gulf, Reagan arming Saddam against the Iranians, the US Navy under Reagan sinking Iran’s navy in 1988, Operation Desert Shield in 1991, Operation Desert Storm in 1991 (the Gulf War), Operation Desert Fox 1998-99 (Clinton’s bombing of Iraq), and so on. Every US President since FDR up to Obama had as official US policy US military domination of the Gulf, and many (Ike, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, and Bush) killed people, started wars, invaded countries, and overthrew governments to do so.

This is because the Gulf nations can pump oil at a profit at around $50 a barrel and budget break even at around $70. Other places have more oil, but only the Gulf has the most cheap oil. Me I prefer to drive from the suburbs than walk from a Megacity One housing skyscraper, YMMV. I’m happy for 70+ years of US policy assuring relatively cheap oil. And I’m happy to kill lots of Muslims to do it. Again, you might be a SJW happy to live in the mud to save Muslims. I’m not.

    8. Kyle had a low opinion of Iraqis, noting no nationalism or feeling on any side, just tribalism, jihad, and opportunism.

    9. Kyle notes a long tradition of tall tales by the SEALs borne out of frustration at not being able to say much of anything about what they do.

    10. Kyle repeatedly says the SEALs had no greater amounts of bravery than the National Guard or Marines or Army people he frequently praises, just far more training.

    11. Kyle’s specific mission was Overwatch, where SEAL teams would deploy heavy, snipers on top, other crew members on the bottom floors of buildings to provide fire, and shoot people attacking patroling Americans, or barrier builders (Sadr City) or just people attacking the team itself. The teams would wait for jihadis to attack the troops they were providing overwatch for or themselves and counter-fire.

    12. Kyle comes across as an intelligent, ADD, energetic White guy who loved action; much like “Ghettoside’s” LAPD Det. John Skaggs. As Steve Sailer noted about Skaggs, there is a whole class of White guy who does not like sitting at a desk or paperwork. Kyle in the book avoids promotions and desk jobs because he likes action. And hated ass-kissing power point presentations.

I find much of the criticism of Kyle a CLASS snobbery thing right out of Alternet or Code Pink. Yeah, Chris Kyle was a working class guy whose idea of a fun time was ranching, hunting, or bar fights. Maybe if you’re a NYC guy that’s not your thing, but believe me the benefit of these guys is they never BS you — you know where you stand and for them, courage counts for most everything.

IMHO Chris Kyle was an Alpha guy, one who should be mostly copied.

I’d much rather have these guys than say, vibrant diversity people in the military because its a check on the power of vibrant diversity. The idea that ADD, energetic, work-a-holic, smart White guys are going to suck it down and work at a desk instead of Law Enforcement and the military is a non-starter. Personally I think Mao was right, power flows from the barrel of a gun not the right moral/social attitudes. I’d rather have these guys where they are instead of say, Chris Dorner. YMMV.

You know it just hit me that if you want to test the waters for who is still struggling to swallow the whole Red Pill completely then place a post like this up there.

I believe that there are men who join the military with sincere motives of honor, courage in the name of truth. Kyle was not one of them as Arbiter clearly points out with strong evidence. The problem is of course, the U.S. is using these people like tools for evil. No doubt this a hot button for Americans because the patriotism has been programmed so deep in our culture that it seen as traitorous to even hint that there is something wrong going on.

The human component is like this. If a child is being abused by his dad it is often hard for the child to fully come to terms with the truth because the child subconsciously struggles to admit that his dad is bad for various coping reasons.

      Nope.

Arbiter has not proven causality. Arbiter has not proven that Kyle joined the military to kill people, for the sake of killing people. Arbiter has not proven that Kyle joined the military for motivations other than honor and courage.

None of which is to say that Kyle did these things. I do not know. But I sure do know that Arbiter’s opinions do not constitute facts.

People seem to have this huge need to believe that Chris Kyle was abused as a child. I have lived among his kind of folks. There was discipline; sure, but guys like CK already understand that they have it coming. You will never hear them say “This is not fair.”
When I got “disciplined” for putting a recently honed surplus Lee Enfield bayonet thru my brothers foot, I did not feel like I was being abused.

Too bad that “red pill” sites attract Leftist partisan personality types: ever adolescent, disappointed and attacking American culture.
That’s right, we are the problem with the world. Yeah, “strong evidence” that the U.S. uses the military for evil.
If you burn 3,000 Americans alive in New York after a decade or more of attacks we might fucking well overreact.
Believe with Elizabeth Warren that the economy is a rigged game based on exploitation and deceit rather than on innovation, productivity and competition.
According to these posters patriotism and love of country are out of bounds and boob bait for bubbas.
I need someone to explain the insane hatred American Sniper excites in lefty’s.
These posts sound like they were sent in by Reverend Wright: “God Damn Amerika!! The chickens have come home to roost!”
I am afraid that “red pill” sites have become home to a certain percentage of individuals who simply do have caustic hatred rather than amused mastery.

Im just glad Chris Kyle got killed by his own kind in the end. He was part of an illegal invasion of a sovereign country. Murdered men, women and children who were defending their own land. Called them savages and sub human…. It makes me happy that a fellow soldier shit him dead. The world is a better place without him

100% True! Also, I remember Dr. Revilo P. Oliver saying he considered the Mexican-American War to be the only conflict in American history that the US justifiably entered.

That’s true. Unfortunately, we are losing the current Mexican American war. 100 million Mexicans have invaded the USA, with no reprisal.

I spend a lot of time online at a site chock ful of not “ne0c0ns,” not, “not quite ideologically pure libertarians,” but straight-up unapologetic full-blown progressives/liberals/actual communists.

They sound exactly like a lot of these “I’m-ALPHA-as-FUCK” commentators.

It appears that there are many things you little boys do not understand. The testing and screening process is looking for people capable of extinguishing human life through a scope. This is a more-than-necessary skill for any military. Not just snipers, but all soldiers, airman, and sailors do not pick their assignments, are not consulted on our wars and police actions and obey every lawful order given to them. There is absolutely nothing “alpha” about kicking in a door or leveling a village to prove that you do not “have to’ stand off at 1,500 yards for a head-shot to take out someone with surgical precision. It is both humane and measured warfare. Every shot prevented an at the time or future potential casualty of ours, or the possibility of collateral damage when the same guy would have to be dug out of his village or hut.

I bet some of you really got your little peens hard denigrating a man who not a single one of you could accomplish his most minor feats.
