Are you curious what constitutes the daily life of a girl who thinks herself a feminist? An anonymous commenter caught a glimpse of the Day-to-Day Feminist’s paltry, predictable world.
Sitting behind a girl on the bus yesterday, through the gap in the seat i got to see her flicking through her smart phone. She started off browsing Buzzfeed, pausing on an an article featuring melodramatic gifs with woman humour. i watched as she then progressed onto articles featuring makeup and period pain. With a knowing look I went back to my own business. 5 minutes later i looked back and i was met with the word ‘feminist’ on her screen, being edited by her in instagram to make it more eye catching. Shortly after this she began browsing her facebook feed, i payed particular attention as she paused the mindless perusing when pictures of attractive girls came into view to carefully inspect them. The girls were cute and wearing short dresses. I couldn’t see the bus girls face but instinctually I imagined her brow and mind contorting with white burning jealously and loathing.
A snapchat comes in on her phone, she opens the app, watching the 10 second images. She faces the camera towards herself and the dull twilight of the bus is sharply illuminated by a bright flash. she and i look at the resulting photo almost simultaneously, both of us unimpressed by the sight we see. She deletes the image, like a perfectionist artist discarding a painting that has failed to reach the standards of his minds eye. She tries again, same outcome. A third try fails to capture any beauty. She exits the app, putting down the phone, defeated.
I see clarity and ponder the hard truths thought by this blog and feel a sting of pity for this girl.
The Day-to-Day Feminist is the day-to-day girl. That is, she’s the opposite of every principle feminists claim to uphold. She calls herself feminist while comparing her looks to the standard established by beautiful women, keeping tabs on her Facebook neighbors, fulfilling her need to feed on buzzy gossip, and prettifying herself so that she can compete better in the sexual market for desirable men.
Feminists are at war with femininity, so they don’t like this reality about women, which is why they loudly insist “real” women are the opposite of the way women behave when left to their own devices. “REAL women have curves.” “REAL women love math.” “REAL women get raped.” “REAL women slay dragons.”
FYI, the next time you read or hear the words “a REAL woman…”, assume that the opposite of whatever is to follow is the truth.

This one always confused me. I was talking to my wife about it the other day. We claim women are as strong and capable as men, but they live in an odd dichotomy where they’re also perpetual victims?
Rape culture is bad and wrong and shouldn’t be glorified, women are strong! Not Victims! But whenever we need a generic bad guy for an action hero to beat up, he’s a white man doing something bad (usually sex-adjacent) to a woman – glorifying it in modern culture.

The way out of the confusion is to understand that feminists do not want to give up the social privileges long accorded to women and want to gain advantage politically through government. Presently victim classes can gain a lot of advantage through the political process so it serves them to be perpetual victims. This allows for the passage of laws that restrict men. Much of the special social privileges come through being more vulnerable as well.
So on one side they argue strength and equality on the other they argue victimization and vulnerability. Combined they are aiming to end up with superiority.

That’s a good point, though it cuts both ways. For example, someone who is considered/labeled “violent” probably doesn’t commit an act of violence on a daily, or even weekly basis. Reminds me of an inmate pointed out to me while inspecting a correctional facility years ago, “yeah, he’s a really nice guy. But one day he just got really mad at his wife…” We can be saddled forever with a label by committing only one act that takes seconds.

Yep. A while back some twit on jizzabel wrote a clickbait article “explaining” why betas loathe feminazism. Fact is, alphas would hate it too, if they could be bothered to think about it. But they’re too busy banging hot women – in other words, women who likewise have no time or reason to pay more than lip service to feminazism (though they’re happy enough to reap the benefits).

Exactly. I had dated a girl who was relatively feminine, came from an OK family by modern American standards (her father was a spineless SWPL but at least still in her life), and actually cooked and knew when to shut up.
However, her entire social circle consisted of SJWs, YKWs, butch feminists, mystery meat mixes and people whose gender I literally could not identify.
In more sane times, a strong man could take a less-than-perfect girl and mold her into wife and mother material. He could lead her by example and try to limit the negative influences in her life. Today, trash culture is seeping out of every pour of America and makes men (in women’s eyes) nothing more than interchangeable accessories. What positive influence does a decent man have when almost every other person in a woman’s life is leading her astray?

I say so what to this thinking. Really so what? You know women follow herds and need to be led. So so what? Who cares what she does when she isn’t with you, it’s how she acts when she is with you that matters. It’s up to you to enforce that. If you want to have deep conversations about things, logical discussions etc. you should be talking with guys anyway.

Just had a meeting with some top corporate clients – about 10 people of which 7 were women. While we were waiting for the meeting to start the women started talking about some 1980s movie and one lady says such and such an actor is so cute. The Feminine Imperative. The criteria proposed to qualify REAL women is getting more bizarre. It somehow reminds me of the badges that girl scouts collect in order to show accomplishment.. A badge for rape, abortion, abuse – perhaps degrees in this case, escalating from emotional to verbal to the coveted physical – a full sash of dreadful accomplishments on full display.
I’m not at all sure but I think badges of ye older days were earned for meaningful accomplishments such as sewing or cooking. Guess all those old badges can be passed on to the boy scouts.
