Waco PD had a full Tac-team, four DPS troopers, a dozen uniformed cops outside the TWIN PEAKS and had a panic button wired into local, county, state and federal lawmen within a two county area.
When shooting started, the Waco PD tac-team went in and shot whomever shot at them.
CNN says at least four of the dead bikers went down to LEO gunfire.

Hmm, there is some indication (mentioned above) that many, if not most, if not ALL of the bikers killed (and many wounded) were shot by the POLICE. The police that was already there, with automatic weapons, and just waiting for something to go off. I don’t know of anyone claiming that this was a shootout with the police – this was gangs fighting among themselves, with non-lethal weapons at first, then possibly escalating to guns, but it was the police that did most of the shooting and killing.
Apparently, the gangs involved put aside their differences and basically made anyone in uniform a valid target for retaliation. Since then, the police called for a “truce” – possibly because this time they are truly scared that these gangers will exact revenge for the execution-style murder of their cohorts.
Now, if the police reacted in similar fashion to Baltimore – instead of giving “space to destroy” they destroyed the rioters, there would be no end to investigations, howlings of racism etc. etc. etc. But here, since mostly white people were murdered execution-style, the whole focus is on portraying the gangers as criminals, and the police as “keeping order”.
So, spirit within, this story actually PROVES all the points already made about overwhelming black violence vs. white violence. Funny you should mention that… about a month ago at work a late twenties/early thirties clown from a nearby urban area was attempting to throw his weight around at a local arena.
The immediate vicinity white folks, as they usually do, just sort of tried to ignore him and nervously glanced at each other… which always gets my Irish up.
So I confronted him, even though it was none of my business, and he then went into his shuck and jive routine and played like he was just kidding.
He then offered me his hand and, gracious fellow that I be, I shook.
I was actually surprised how, for a dude about my size, his hand was so soft and evinced absolutely no sign of strength. I thought at that moment “Geez, and he’s walking around acting tough? I might have murdered this guy with one punch.”
After feeling my grip, he had a look in his eye of like relief.

My similar “paper thug” anecdote: some ten years ago my then-girlfriend and I park in a store parking lot and as I get out of my car, there is a car with two blacks glaring at me. They were clean cut and college aged. The passenger yells through his window that I had cut them off (I sorta did…). I shrug and say “sorry, didn’t see you.”
The passenger then does this rapid move where he’s unbuckling and about to rush me. I take off my glasses, put them on to if my car and look at him in a relaxed manner.
He sees I’m not running away or trying to talk my way out of it, and the fight visibly drains from his face. He looks unsure what tovdo halfway out of yhe car door and stammers “what did you say?” I reply “I said I didn’t see you.” He gets back in the car and they drive away.
