The Russian Empire also was in extremely poor shape from losing millions of men in World War I — and unlike in WW2, they lost to the Germans, which was actually worse, even if they did lose more men in WW2 — plus it had millions of Eskimos available on hand to cause trouble and provide manpower for the Bolsheviks.
I’m not convinced that Russia couldn’t have become a non-Anglo superpower (sort of like Japan) if WW1 hadn’t wrecked it. After all, it did manage to operate a functional space program even under the stupid Soviet regime.
But regardless, I suspect there’s something to Northwest Europeans specifically. Maybe it has to do with the climate, since I know I definitely get lethargic when it’s hot (especially hot and humid), and maybe that’s why people from hot, humid climates are stereotyped as “lazy”.
NW Europe is also unique for being able to support an unusually high population at its latitude due to the Gulf Stream.

Though my grandfather killed many on MacArthur’s return to the Philippines, and the japs lost the ‘battle’ that was WW2, they managed to retain higher homogeneity than the West. One thing most don’t understand is that under the Mongols, the Russian leadership was selected for ruthlessness and a willingness to collaborate. What was Moscow before the Mongols? A minor city. Novgorod, Kiev, those were the big influential cities. Moscow rose as a collector of tribute for the Mongols. Also during that time frame the Poles and Swedes chewed away at them from the west, putting their own puppets in charge when they could. Paranoia is a reasonable state of mind when all of your neighbors are out to get you, but it doesn’t translate to a system of government that is likely to foster individualism and initiative amongst the broader masses (note that the Cossacks were used for just these traits on the frontier. They were also broadly hated by other Russians because their loyalty to the Czar meant they were also used to put down uprisings).

Frigging Chang Kai Shek got more Sherman tanks — for all the good it did Chang — than MacArthur did until January 1945.
MacArthur’s 192 man infantry companies in the 1945 Luzon campaign were running between 30 and 90 bodies (between 15% and 47%) of total strength.
The only thing that saved MacArthur’s butt on Luzon was handing captured Japanese weapons over to the Filipino guerilla’s he spent three years cultivating.

But it’s an empty revenge in many ways. Gaze upon the current state of Japanese culture, then dust off the weighty tomes of yesteryear and reflect on the monumental changes they’ve undergone. A mere 200 years ago, Japan was mostly a throwback (by 19th Century standards) feudal society that actively shunned the ways of any outsider, but they possessed a culture that demonstrated numerous masculine qualities. Some aspects of this xenophobia still linger in the Japanese psyche, but it’s last gasp was evident in 1945, when the inferno of Hirohito’s empire was snuffed out by two mushroom clouds.
Since then, Japan has sought to extract its pseudo-revenge in the only way they’ve been permitted – through participation in the global economy. But even this, Japan’s transformation into an economic juggernaut, was made possible in many ways by an American: W. Edwards Deming. His principles on business and industry were ahead of their time, and Japan was an early adopter of these principles. It was evident in the efficiency and quality of the products they brought to market, to the point of challenging and in many cases surpassing the supremacy of U.S. competitors. In the 1980s, it looked like Japan might overtake the U.S. as the #1 economy.
This of course never happened, as Japan adopted one aspect of our economy that is actively leading to their downfall: central (fractional reserve) banking. But their protracted economic retreat is still dwarfed by their cultural downfall, which the U.S. has actively sought to make permanent. WWII’s Pacific Theater was in many ways a race war that exhibited some rather gruesome truths about human nature. Much of this was fueled by the fact that Japan made the first military strike, which in turn amplified the prejudicial tendencies of (then predominantly) White America. It was easy to hate on the yellow man from the far East due to his differences, but with government-declared war all bets were off. The average Japanese person was now, essentially, sub-human. An expert in military history might argue to the contrary, but in my amateur opinion the U.S. war against Japan was far more brutal than the war against the Third Reich. Victory had to be total, which meant Japan couldn’t just retreat with their tail between their legs. They had to be neutered, so as to prevent any such transgression from ever happening again.
This total victory is evident in the cultural depravity of the Japanese. Over time, their men have become complete herbs, possessing little if any masculine qualities. Women have stopped bearing children. While they may have great gadgets and technological prowess (no thanks to Western influence at different points in history) in reality this masks the proverbial shame they have suffered since being defeated. Some may interpret it as protracted Seppuku on a social scale, but others may see it as living with the dishonor Japan has brought to its forefathers.
An empty revenge, most certainly. While America crumbles in it’s own way, Japan has been made to endure their nightmare in a blue pill dreamworld. Hiroshima’s rise from the ashes of nuclear fallout is nothing but a construct; a facade to fool the masses into thinking they’ve gained anything whole or fulfilling since their total defeat and retreat into a shameful existence.

Hm, I want to ask you guys something about American girls.
My ex feminist gf broke up with me 2 months ago (I turned into her omega “puppy” scenario) and we met recently to talk and stuff and to stay friends and it’s not a big deal. What surprised me most was some BS I heard from her.
When we were in relationships several months ago, she always described her previous ex as an asshole who cheated on her and who threatened her and turned all her friends against her for years after. So once she told me he sent her a text after 3 years of silence and she was afraid of him. And that time I asked her maybe he just wanted sex and that was why he texted. But she told me that she was so much more for him than just a sex buddy, so it was wrong to think this way. I said ok, whatever.
And recently, when we met months from that point, she said to me that she was shocked when I told her those words back then. She said that I wanted to bring her down by that showing that she was only a girl for sex. She said she told about that all her female friends and they were also shocked how offending I was to her and how much I wanted to hurt her.
I was like WTF, first you described your ex as a cheating and cruel asshole and then when I suggested he just wanted sex – you blame me in bringing down your dignity or whatever?
On that she replied that it’s probably my Russian mentality (I’m from Russia) and that any American girl would think exactly the same way and be offended. And maybe next time I should only date Easter-Europeans. And that’s because I told her that no Russian girl would ever think such bullshit or even suggest anything like that.
There was tons of other similar stuff about her when I said her something purely neutral or even positive from my point of view and later on she claimed I offended her horribly, trying to bring her intellectual abilities down and such. For example when I just asked her about her IQ, she said 120+, then joked that “mine was 60” and then told her that some scientists argue that IQ really gives you a true value of intellect (she agreed on that). And again now she also tells me she was extremely offended by those words. And so on and on and on, I won’t list everything here.
So my question is to you guys. Are American girls really like that so they see an attempt of bringing them down in any innocent sentence or phrase? Or it’s just my feminist liberal ex with some mental issues? And her female friends with the same issues I guess?

Frankly I wouldn’t call her masculine at all. She is tiny, very weak and rather neurotic girl, but she thinks of herself as of someone who suffered a lot and who represents the very image of kindness.

I’m not against LGBT people being LGBT. I’m against them having straight marriages and producing biological children. If same sex marriage isn’t legal in your jurisdiction, don’t dupe some unsuspecting straight person into marrying you. If LGBT people really must have kids, they (and people who wish to be single parents) should be legally allowed to adopt orphans that no-one else wants. I think most kids would rather have gay/transgender parents or one single parent than no family at all.
If I could change the rules on adoption, I would let straight married couples get first dibs on which kids they wanna adopt, then let same sex married couples choose the kids that are left, then let prospective single parents choose what’s left of that.
