Greg, it is true. Moreover it was insititutionalized. Spartan fathers allowed it because they saw it as a good thing that their son was becoming a man and warrior and the sodomy was just part of the training. Greeks saw homosexuality as an episodic event in a man’s life. Athenian noblemen used to solicit the attention of a boy and would bring the parents gifts, etc. for the chance to “mentor” the lad. There were drinking Clubs set up for this express purpose. I have never held the Spartans in very high esteem. They let their women take over and it destroyed their state. The Ancient Greek tolerance for homosexuality is why I don’t think homosexuality is inborn. It was too common in the Ancient World. Christianity is why we don’t want it around today.

I dunno… I always felt the whole Ancient Greeks being comprehensively homosexual was an exaggeration by today’s agenda, much like the lie that 10% of people are queer.
I’ve heard about the Athenian mentoring stuff, and then there was that sacred band of Thebes, but the fact that they made a big deal of that separate contingent tells me they were an exception rather than a rule.
And I NEVER heard anything about Spartans incorporating such things into their training… as I mentioned, if anything, they singled out Athenians and Thebians for mockery on that account.

It was the other way around. The Spartans were originally Doric, blonde haired and blue eyed. The Athenians used to make fun of the Dorians for being homosexual. While I agree, there is too much emphasis on it today, it was still common in the Ancient World, though principally episodic in nature and when it ended it was over. The Romans also made fun of the Greeks for this reason. There is a Socratic dialogue where Alcibiades of Pelloponnesian War fame tries to seduce Socrates, who wants nothing of it. Plato also discusses it in his Symposion dialogue as well. Alcibiades is the guy who knocked up the queen of Sparta while having an affair with her under the Spartan King’s nose. The Celts also practiced man love. Appian mentions it in his history of Rome, volume I where he discusses the Celtic sack of Rome in the 3rd century BC. Other original sources I have read also corroborate it. There is a reason it was banned by Christianity.

The point of contention is that they shouldn’t be allowed to adopt because they almost always will fuck up the kid by either turning him into the world’s biggest beta phaggot or convert those susceptible to pole smoking when they wouldn’t go down that path if they weren’t adopted.
With marriage being uniformly made valid for gays, it’s going to be impossible to turn them down for adoption. Of course, if they really wanted to, the agencies could investigate their lifestyle and 98 percent of them will turn up positive for sexual adventures that would put Caligula to shame.

Can you imagine Obama bringing demonstrating Tea Party leaders to the White House to talk to them in front of the TV cameras? Soldiers talked with and sang with demonstrators. But some groups among the demonstrators did everything they could to provoke the military to attack. Most of the leaders were not “pro-democracy” by the way, they were Maoist. They celebrated Mao, sang communist songs. Why? Because they were students who wanted more perks, as usual. And they also attacked African students in the dorms because the Africans used up resources the Maoists wanted for themselves. They then talked about democracy because that’s how they could get foreign media to support them. Not that you’ll hear about this.
Democracy in China would of course be a disaster, as the western provinces would vote for those who promised to open the eastern cities for them. People would vote themselves welfare, and China can’t afford that. Separatist movements would have their political parties out in the streets, their ranks swelling, seeking to capitalize on every opportunity. They would be funded by Washington which would seek to turn Tibet, Xinjiang etc into CIA footholds, like they did with Georgia. China would be torn apart. Of course Deng Xiaoping wouldn’t want that. The Party is full of corruption and many bad managers, but it is better to have it in place than to have democracy.

Russia hasn’t “returned to Christianity” the Orthodox Church was destroyed by the Soviet government once and for all. Red China made massive progress under Mao contrary to mythology they were a powerful nuclear armed state in the 1960s. The Sino-Soviet split and their subsequent war in 1967 paved the way for better relations with the United States. Mao accepted this hoping to build a joint anti-Soviet alliance during the Cold War. Deng Xiaoping didn’t do anything new he just expanded on what Mao established. The Chinese are now shifting away from America and back into the Russia camp. The truth is none of this is new its just the same conflict that began more than a century ago.
As for the so called “student movements” in China they represent the pampered children of the successful and wealthy. No different than Murka in that regard I’d hardly call them Maoist. It’s like calling dumb kids who say the constitution gives homosexuals rights “Jeffersonian”.

A few people have asked me what I think about the SCROTUS ruling. I’ve answered the truth: I don’t really think much on it at all. See… faggots have never really entered into my process all that much. I don’t go to their dives and I tolerate them in “the arts,” since I know they roll that way. But the truth is that they are pretty much irrelevant to my world. I’m glad they’re happy. It will make their eventual appointment with source much easier to take with all that positive juju they’ve built up from all those years of happily buggering each other. When they get to review their time in material existence, and they ponder what they did, why, they can face the fact that they committed unnatural acts with other men, failed to perpetuate their blood lines (maybe an excellent idea, given the emotionally-laden choices they made, like menstruating women, when the chips were all down), and just generally made a light-hearted mockery of what life on planet Earth had in store for them.
As for the muff-divers, who cares really? Most of them, above about a five anyway, just need to be introduced to a warm-blooded and realmale-controlled biological dildo to “see the light.” The rest can’t reproduce, so what’s the big deal. Have at it. Get married, you pervs. Plenty of material in the remnant that’s still sane amidst the insanity of these, the end times.

I don’t think that will be the case with the United States. My guess is that once the dollar loses reserve currency status, things will move very, very quickly.
