Get the fuck away from shitlib cities. Move to a small town anywhere (NOT a suburb), and especially in the south. People are still friendly and have a sense of community there. Maybe not like in the 40s, but far from the nigger/tranny worshiping cities.
Most towns have a wiki that describes the climate — and most importantly — the demographics at last census. Find one highly skewed to your preferred level of diversity… easy to do. Once there you’ll feel like you left a noisy, dirty, angry mosh pit of caged animals and rediscovered civilization.

MT, when I moved to LA, I knew within a few days that it had been a horrible mistake – it felt like getting hit squarely the gut with squalor and amorality and purposelessness and outright Evil. And the smell of that d@mned jasmine everywhere – to this day, the smell of jasmine sickens me. It was by far the most unhappy that I’ve ever been in my life. PS: But promise me that you’ll hit up the Art History Majors at the Huntington before you leave. You could also try the Getty, but that will be a far sleazier crowd. The Huntington & greater San Marino are OLD MONEY – nothing “nouveau” like you’d get at the Getty.

Mendoza, well spotted. It’s the ubiquitous flip-flops that make me feel like American society has gone over the cliff. My wife (we live in Japan; she wears skirts and stockings or tights every day of the year) can barely disguise her contempt for this and the rest of the decline in women’s dress standards. At only 5′ 4″, she would give anything to have the taller-than-5′ 6″ height and long legs that the average American woman has, but cannot understand why women with such potential let their bodies balloon up and then compound that by dressing so slovenly.
And when she talks with such Western women, they actually chide her for trying too hard! It’s as if by putting zero effort into looking feminine, such women are somehow trying to signal some hidden superiority, something so amazing about them that still attracts any man they might desire even though they dress like unemployed fat men.
Too bad that superiority, if it exists in any form at all, is so well-hidden that no man can spot it.

We buried my deceased father’s ashes two weeks ago in Montreal’s nicest cemetery, it cost us $ 2000 for them to dig a tiny whole to put the small wooden box in it about the size of a six pack of beer, about a 20 minute job.
The cemetery employee that did that was there to do that was dressed like a construction guy.
He had working boots – untied – he was wearing dirty frumpy shorts, had a stained frumpy sweat shirt, he had a two day old beard, his hair was a mess, he looked like he got drunk the night before and slept in his clothes.
We all dressed nice as people should at a funeral and he was dressed like a bum.
I rarely use such a word but I was offended.

For example I love Rage Against the Machine’s music, but pretty much every word in their lyrics I disagree with or annoy me.
Or that song by the Dixie Chicks (the only song by them I like ) ” not ready to make nice”, the melody is great, the music is beautiful but the lyrics are about how the singer is angry that the average American disagrees with what she did ( she had said on stage before a large crowd that she was ashamed of being American and said various hateful things about conservatives )

Actually they’re rather clever. They move to where the Scottish/Irish are already populated, so that when violence pops up they have a ready assortment of men who have a real hankering for fighting. I remember stopping at one of the historical old rest stops [built of brown stone] on a New York turnpike, and there were White people everywhere, but NO CHILDREN. And I spent one night in a college/university town, and there were White people everywhere, but NO CHILDREN in the hotel or the restaurants or the grocery store or on the streets or anywhere. I lived among the Amish for a number of years. They take their pacifism seriously. One family near us, a couple of drunks came in and raped the mother and 2 daughters, the father held one of the brothers down to keep him from attacking them. They had to move away quickly.
The photo above is of Mennonite women, not Amish, the Amish would never have anything but plain dresses. They don’t use buttons (too fancy) but rather pins. I can recall driving in the Mennonite area and see some girls walking ahead of us. When they could hear the sound of the approaching car those hips would go in motion. It would totally crack my wife up.
In both the Mennonite and even more so the Amish community, the inbreeding causes some interesting genetic syndromes, such as Maple Syrup Syndrome. The Amish and Mennonites can be good neighbors, but as “English” you will never be accepted as one of them. My family was tolerated far more than most because we had no television, had a large family and homeschooled our children, I wore a “uniform” that was pretty plain (I got a great deal on old khaki and green uniforms and bought several dozen sets for work clothes) and my wife always wore dresses or skirts/blouses. Of course, they never saw me or my wife dressed up and the computer room was upstairs, out of sight. We heated the house with a wood-burning stove and cooked on it in winter. We always had a huge garden and kept livestock, we canned our produce and we lived pretty simple lives.
The “average” American family with various electronic gadgets seemingly attached by umbilical cords, with entertainment centers set up like family altars to the gods of Hollywood, the preoccupation with celebrities and stuff that has no impact on their lives… sending their kids to public school to be indoctrinated by the state and trained in the perversions of the PC gods, the Amish would look at such a family and shun them for good reason.

Most of the old guys are millionaires, simply by paying off a farm that increases in value – and you can easily get 6-12% return by raising animals (they have babies that grow into valuable animals as well). Pay off the mortgage, if you even have one ; live simply within your means, eat mostly organic food you grow yourself, don’t have expensive entertainments…
The problem they have is a restricted gene pool – they don’t have any foreign genes coming in, and in many communities they are already experiencing problems from the high levels of inter-relatedness. They have taken to trying to introduce young men and women from different geographical communities to each other – for this, they rent a big van and driver (it is legal to rent someone else’s car, just not drive one for your own personal use) and take tours to other communities to visit.

The Amish are hard workers where I’m from. They have successful furniture and parking covers(these are just framed roofs to protect your vehicle from the unforgiving sun of Texas).
I literally saw a 10 year old kid bust his ass like a man. Him, an old man(maybe in his 60s), and an 8 yr old who was the gopher and later holder build a parking cover. They were in and out in less than an hour and the 10 yr old was the lead man digging post holes and handling the primary framing of the structure. It was awesome to witness.

wool is a great fabric. Unless soiled with dirt or grime, you don’t need to dry clean your suit. Just brush off with a brush, hang it correctly and occasionally steam or iron (with care not to destroy the fold of the lapel) it and you are good to go.

The third photo represents nearly everything the average American men has lost in the last sixty years. Imagine a time when a man could be a hired hand yet have afford to have nine children; or just find a woman willing to have nine children. God forbid it meant living not dining out every night or owning the newest cars or that siblings had to share bedrooms and get along.
But what is really tells us what’s been lost is the expression on his face; it is not the look of a man who’s been browbeaten by years of relentless ungrateful nagging or the face of a man under siege by a hostile society. It is the look of a man exhausted by a hard day’s work, perhaps paid very little, but joyful at coming back at the end of the day to a place where he knows he will be respected and that his work to provide for a family is not in vain.
What the photo represents is the opportunity the country once offered for the working man to be the patriarch of his own household in a society that had the good sense to honor rather than persecute such men for contributing to its wellbeing.
If the Alt. Right needs a photo to represent what it’s fighting to reclaim, that one might do well.

Color film was available in the very late 19th century but it was very expensive and cutting edge technology. I have a book of Russian peasants in color photos commissioned by Czar Alexander II in 1905. Moving film in color was not yet availaable, however.

Was looking for information on my dad’s bomber crew and found an awesome photo of them in front of their B-24, along with a photo of it after a crash landing following a mission to bomb V-1 sites in France. Through the photo credits got in contact with the son of the pilot who has offered to send his dad’s memoirs on that mission. Looking through all the crew photos found this one and immediately though “what would the presence of a woman have done to this close-knit crew?”.

Did similar research recently tracing my Grand Dads campaign during WWII. Come to find he was a driver in a Churchill Crocodile Tank – a flame-throwing tank … fearsome machine – not the kind of thing that brings up the rear.
Landed D-Day +1 at Sword Beach, swept East to Caen and was near Bergen Belsen when it was liberated. I’d corresponded with his regiments archivist – the reason he was able to determine what my Grand Dad did was because there were no insignias on his uniform. Long-time German metal band Rammstein wrote a song called “Mein Land,” translated to My Country.
Rammstein can be mum about the meaning of their songs, but have been known to write nationalistic material, including “Mutter,” which translates to “Mother” and is a song longing about the motherland of the past. They wrote “Links 1, 2, 3, 4” and said it was a “leftist” song, but the irony is its sound, including marching boots, and how overt they were about its meaning (compared to every other song they’ve written).
Anyway, Mein Land, I believe is a very nationalistic song, and there are plenty of metaphors in this video relating to the internal destruction of Germany by immigration and multiculturalism. (Note: Leftists try to claim this song actually mocks nationalism, but it’s a weak argument.)
Furthermore, being overly nationalistic in Germany will get you imprisoned because of the country’s past, so Rammstein isn’t too literal with its material.

I see so many people working themselves to death to provide for their kids–usually shit they themselves didn’t have growing up–when all the kid wants to do is spend time with their parents. So the parents displaces that with junk/stuff/materialism and the kid grows up thinking this is the end game, when deep down, they just want to spend time with their parents.
I cannot fault some parents that love to spoil their kid–it’d be hard not to–but balance needs to be enacted.

My guess is that it was government-subsidized in some way (hence the term “project”) but whether it was outright owned by the government or not, I’m not sure.

Those are excellent lyrics that get to the heart of those times which were the 70s before things got weird (the 80s) and then went to hell (the 90s) and then got even worse (2000’s) and here we are yay.
I think that people are now weak and ugly simply for not working outside doing meaningful things like they were evolved to do. Basically in suburban America, 10% of the people are able to take care of themselves and resist becoming fat and ugly, and 90% are entropy and lost. The genetic quality of that 90% is not much different than it was, but the conditions of their lives has changed into post-modern un-reality or whatever and they reflect these un-natural conditions.
Of course the situation is exploited by the yenahus, but the culprit for the decay of society is easy excess energy and that’s the explanation to the extent that there is one. People for the most part are not evolved to have goals beyond their basic needs and if those needs are met well then why bother.

Some observations as they pertain to clothes, but having them branch out further, as clothing, fashion, etc. , like other things, reflect a society’s or culture’s values, etc.
To one of the questions up above: back in the 1940s — which to menswear enthusiasts is the “Golden Age” of menswear (no surprise, there) — the idea of off-the-peg/ready-to-wear suits was nonexistent. You got your suit made from a tailor. Back then there was a spectrum of low to mid to high-end tailors. Nowadays the idea of going to a tailor will set you back $3k for a low to mid-tier tailor. Back then that wasn’t the case. The idea of mass producing suits didn’t arrive until much later (I think from the “genius” of Pierre Cardin, who took the idea of merchandising his name to a level only R. Lauren will later emulate). So if your suit got dirty, you brush it for regular maintenance or you took it to your local tailor for what’s called a “sponge-and-press.” Only the tailor can do that. If you tried to steam or iron your own suit, you’re liable to ruin it by flattening out all the hard work and craftsmanship the tailor put into the suit (i.e., lapel roll, canvassing, etc.). The idea of dry cleaning is foreign, and even now –it’s positively harmful to any expensive clothing you have.
It’s interesting to note that even menswear enthusiasts have latched on to this idea about the loss of decorum, standards, etc. Now most of these enthusiasts we would consider beta or “blue pill”, and their analysis stops — correctly for them — at the first level of clothing without analyzing how clothing can reflect societal values, etc.
Now they frequently argue against the prevailing idea that was launched in the 60s (which unsurprisingly coincide with the rise of feminism, free love, anti-war, existentialism, etc.) of the tyranny of the “necktie”. Now as a sartorial symbol, I don’t believe anything is more masculine (at least in the 20th century and beyond) than the necktie.
And the fight against the necktie was a fight against the old “man in the gray flannel suit”. That is, conformity, etc.
But what I find interesting and noteworthy (and I believe also written here by CH, although with a different slant) is this opposite thesis:
everyone wears a tie and coat. Stifling conformity! Death of the individual, etc.
So the pendulum swings violently the other way. Casual dress creeps in. The “suit” is rendered a metaphor for corporate dehumanization, etc. People now seek to “express their individuality” through external things (what liberal academics are likely to call with their jargon “signifiers”), such as clothes, tattoos, wild hair colour, mohawks, etc.
But the irony is (not missed by anyone here) how conforming and vapid that is. Go to the heart of San Francisco, the mecca of “individual hipsterdom” — everyone dresses the same tight jeans, the same flannel shirt; they wear the same oiled-up beard; they’re all skinny; they ride skateboards; they have tattoos and piercings; they all own apple products; they all say “like, you know, like, it was hella good that vietnamese sandwich with the liverwurst”. They all think the same and say the same dull, irritating things.
Back then — not to be nostalgic — because everyone had a baseline of respectful outer wear (e.g., shirt, tie, coat, etc.) people had to distinguish themselves by their personality (a novel concept).
I’d argue that, as an example, children aren’t diminished by wearing compulsory school uniforms; they’d actually have to develop their personalities to be individuals yet still form a cohesive community which they show by their uniforms, etc. Plus in general they look a whole lot nicer.

His message to the small family farmer was “Go big or go get a job in town.” He rearranged the ag policies to favor large farms and corporate farming in a move designed to destroy the small family farm. He got fired for saying to reporters (!) “I’ll tell you what black want: Loose shoes, tight pussy and a warm place to shit.”
Keep in mind that the farmer is the most independent SOB on the face of the earth. He depends only on God to send the rain in season and he can’t be fired for having un-PC attitudes or for saying badthink out loud. Believe it or not, small family farms that were diversified were actually quite profitable. A guy named Booker T. Whatley wrote a book called “How To Make $100,000 Farming 25 Acres” and it actually works. It was his plan to save the small black family farm, but I never heard of any black families doing it. Of the whites who took the ball and ran with it, they make plenty of money.
This is one of the reasons why homesteading is becoming more and more popular. I’ve written extensively about this, and combining an earth sheltered home (you’d call it an ‘underground house’) with a homesteading philosophy, the energy savings on the home can almost pay the mortgage compared to a “normal” home. By raising the expensive components of the diet (meats and vegetables) a family can cut upwards of 80% of their food bill. This means a husband and father could literally support his family with a dead-end job paying $12-$15 per hour. Plenty of those work from home companies pay that much.
My last blog post was on growing wild-simulated ginseng, which would allow somebody who did it right to retire after 10 years with millions of dollars worth of ginseng in the ground just getting older, bigger and more valuable as time goes by. The market is China, it’s always been China and it will always be China. Currently wild ginseng is going for upwards of $1000 per pound, dried weight. But nobody teaches this shit because when people like me try, nobody wants to listen.
I made an instructional video on how to grow wild simulated ginseng 12 years ago. Naive thing that I was, I figured it was the perfect retirement vehicle. Guess how much interest it got? None. Nada. Too much work. I’m aware that times have changed, and whereas there was a time when a guy could afford to have a family of 9 children on what he made as a hired hand (about a dollar a day), it isn’t the same any more. But that’s what I like about the underground homes. They don’t need AC because they stay cool in the summer and don’t need much heat because they stay warm in the winter. So there goes that $400+ utility bill. You can build them for $30 to $40 a square foot, so there goes the huge mortgage payment.
In fact, this kind of home is the easiest to operate off the grid because the energy demands are so low. The only problem is cops hate homes like this because they’re natural fortresses. And, seriously, if building a home like this it’s worth it to put in an escape tunnel (3′ culvert) that takes one a hundred yards away into a spot where one can E&E with ease. I’ve also seen livestock barns built this way with dusk to dawn LED lighting on the inside. The cattle can go in and stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter. They’re set up so a small tractor can get in and clean them out to compost the manure. Hay storage is overhead for ease of feeding in winter.
Land is still surprisingly cheap and in a lot of areas farmland isn’t being farmed and can be leased. I’ve seen numerous situations in which the old folks who owned the land allowed someone to use the land, provided they cleaned it up of all the trees growing up in the fields. Yes, it’s hard work, but nothing is easy. The bottom line is I don’t care what kind of work you do or how much money you make. When the day comes that the trucks stop rolling, if you can’t feed yourself you’d better be on really good terms with someone who can.

Artisanal, the key to surviving the coming Troubles will be access to CLEAN POTABLE WATER. If, say, the Chinese were to nuke us with EMP devices, and take out our power grid, then USA beluga whale folks would start getting dysentery and cholera long before they starved to death. Your middle-of-nowhere dream homestead has to place the water source at the very top of its priority list. There are hand pumps now which can pull water up from roughly 150-ish foot depths, but for people who have multi-horsepower electronic pumps pushing water up from the better part of 1000-ish feet, there isn’t any technology known to mankind which can get the water up to the surface in the absence of modern power. Right now, the best of the hand pumps appears to be the “Water Boy Waterbuck” [and apparently they’re working on upgrading the Waterbuck to a two man model].

If I was going to do this again, I’d be looking for a place that gave me a year-round stream with enough head and flow to give me hydroelectric generation capability. That’s the holy grail of off-grid living because it generates power 24/7 year-round. It takes maintenance and requires turbines specifically designed for the specific application, but depending on the situation, it could be perfect. Unfortunately, that’s usually expensive land because everybody wants the “a river runs through it” kind of rural living and the government really frowns on building dams across year-round streams.
The biggest threat to the US is a piece of rock on the western escarpment of a volcano called Cumbre Vieja in the Canary Islands. Check wikipedia for details. The bottom line is if that thing blew (or someone caused it to blow) the entire east coast could be pounded by a series of tidal waves for an hour or so. We’re talking about tidal waves hundreds of feet high.
In 1997 Sec. Defense Cohen was talking about the weapons that can trigger volcano’s and earthquakes, it isn’t tin-foil hat conspiracy theory. The major powers have these weapons and since nobody’s tossing nukes around and nobody believes in this stuff it’s interpreted as an act of God.
Yes, clean, potable water is important, but so is food production. The key is aquaponics, which doesn’t use a lot of electricity to get year-round food production. In good times (even though our economy is going into the toilet I’d consider this good times compared to Bosnia during their civil war) it cuts the hell out of your food bill and in bad times it feeds you. Somebody asked me to do a post on the underground house thing so I’m working on that. Built out of 6 shipping containers, it comes in at a little under 1900 square feet and costs about $30 per square foot to build. Yep, a nice house for under $60k. It would take longer but somebody with skills like mine could do a lot of the work and pick up used materials cheap and get the cost down under $20 per foot.
I did a design for a big house built out of shipping containers and concrete bridge panels, a huge one that has about 7200 square feet of floor space with a great hall 80 feet long, 36 feet wide and a ceiling 18 feet high. 2-story wall of windows across the front lights up the home all the way to the back.
Shipping containers were made to hold about 30 tons and get stacked 8 high carrying that weight. Four to five feet of dirt on top of them is nothing. If nukes ever get tossed around it’s a bomb shelter. They’re tornado proof and earthquake proof.because welding them together makes it a monolithic unit. Only problem is cops hate them because they’re natural fortresses.
The point is an underground house can be built just about anywhere and it’s not rocket science. Chopping a $450 utility bill down to $100 a month means saving over $4k a year in post-tax dollars. Setting up an aquaponics system, growing a big garden, raising chickens, rabbits, or even going full blown and having a family milk cow will cut the food budget by up to 80%. Since a family of 4-5 spends over a thousand a month on food, that’s a savings of almost 10k a year, again in post tax dollars. Any family that can chop $15k of expenses can have the wife stay at home, take care of the homestead and homeschool the kids.
This is the kind of stuff people commonly did back in the 30’s and 40’s. When the great depression hit almost 80% of the US population lived on farms, which meant they had the ability to feed themselves (hopefully). Now-days people want to get into neighborhoods with restrictive HOA covenants that prevent you from even growing a veggie garden, much less keep a flock of chickens. Sometimes I think they deserve to starve.

Excellent post! Photos don’t lie. Anyone who sees photos (or movies) of pre1968 American cannot but help notice a more civilized society than we have today. Men wore ties even at sports events, such as baseball games.
The popularity of Mad Men is a reflection that deep down we all know we have regressed as a society into a more barbarous state. People enjoyed Mad Men (especially the women) because they enjoyed seeing men dressed up, smoking, banging their secretaries, ect. I blame our decline in part on the Eskimos.
Now we all live in one big nihilistic ghetto culture. What good is a society where the violent, illiterate black athlete is now our highest ideal?

Re: Mad Men, I stopped watching it after a few episodes when it became clear that Weiner was using it to push SJW themes.
Looking at the 1935-45 pics reminded me of my grandparents. This was their world. I remember visiting them regularly in the 1970s. They were just like this. My grandfather never left the house without his hat. My grandmother was involved in local women’s organizations (like the Home Economics pic, not shrill Planned Parenthood crap). They stressed character, discipline and hard work.

I think you can still find vestiges of this culture in America. Wisconsin/Minnesota, parts of the South, Northern New England come to mind. There may be more I’m not familiar with.
My mother recently moved to another town in Northern New England. I was at her house and a neighbor stopped by collecting names and email addresses so everyone in the neighborhood could “get to know each other.” Then she organized a neighborhood meet and greet where everyone brought a dish.
I don’t think that kind of thing happens much anymore.

A generation that endured the Great Depression and the combat horrors of WWII wanted to shelter its kids. Big surprise there. It would be shocking if they didn’t. But people KNOW this modern culture is garbage. The debauchery is a function of anonymous urban living. The Japanese are just as debauched as are even urban Muslims; Syria is an example of urbanite debauchery against 7th Century rural absolutism. Problem: no one wants to live in any great numbers in the countryside. The longer and more completely a nation is anonymous urbanized, the more debauched it becomes.

A lot of people bring up the Amish in response to these Goodbye America posts. They’re a fascinating people; my granddad owns a farm that I used to work summers on when I was in highschool, and he would hire a few Amish girls who were too young to marry on the cheap, (The oldest was 19, engaged.) so I have hands-on experience with them.
This was before I discovered the dark gospel of game so I never took a sinful roll in the hay with any of these girls, but they’re the exact opposite of modern women. They’ll do backbreaking labor, uncomplaining, for hours on end, joking and laughing around with their friends the whole time. Have you ever seen a 16-year-old girl’s face light up in sheer joy watching a butterfly flit through a garden, or popping a fresh-picked blackberry into her mouth? It melts the fucking heart. Forget about girls, that’s what real, state-of-nature human beings are like. Those traditional values are fucking excellent for suppressing the worst and bringing out the best of people.
It makes me feel like we’ve lost something absolutely vital to our humanity, and I’m not excluding myself. I’ve been desensitized to all but the most extreme pleasures; I only feel that rush when I’m riding a motorcycle at suicidal speeds, doing mind-bending drugs, or crushing the cervix of a 7+ while she calls me Daddy. As high as those highs are, the minutes that aren’t spent doing those things are empty and draining. Being able to find joy in every minute is something we, as a culture, are never going to get back in our lifetimes.

The feminist movement began in the mid 19th century. It had already been unleashed for about a century when WW2 ended. And it was just as vile in 1848 as it is today. So the war economy effect was very small if it had any. What you’re talking about is the ruling class and the deep state doing their thing with feminism in the 1970s. Using it for their aims. By then what happened in WW2 was irrelevant.

In 1880 you could not find many 18 YO girls living alone in a big city and working, paying her own way (other than perhaps prostitutes).
By 1950 it was common. This is directly because women entered the workforce in large numbers over the war years and cities grew dramatically in population.

Most guys are beta providers. Back then (1930’s – 40’s) if I a guy wanted he could more easily take a mistress… divorce was difficult, a woman had to prove up a case and have money to do so… so I guy certainly did not have to endure one woman if he didn’t want to.
If you poke around the attic of your family history, you may find that gramps or great gramps may have had a little something over in the next town, or a particular tavern girl he saw Saturday nights before he came home drunk and passed out.
And Grams just rolled with it if he wasn’t a total ass and rubbed her face in it socially.
