I actually disagree that Trump is a narcissist. Remember, there’s two parts to narcissism: egocentrism is one, but also a lack of empathy. He has the self-love part of it for sure, but there’s no way the man lacks empathy. If that was true for Trump, a public figure for many years, you’d see countless stories of him being a dick to people, being a bad tipper, his employees hating him. Not to mention you can’t raise 5 god damn perfect kids if you lack empathy.
The fact that the media doesn’t have these awful stories about him (and trust me, they’ve been digging), is frankly astounding. I’ve met Trump twice in NY – once in an art market context, and once in a tennis context. He was perfectly deferential to those who knew more about such matters. He asked intelligent questions, picked up facts very quickly, made a few self-deprecating jokes, held his frame, and behaved like a gentleman – albeit an arrogant American gentleman. I don’t care for his aesthetics, but I think we’re well passed that. It’s amazing to me that anyone who can take that Clinton woman seriously could criticize Trump. Wild Man: Trumps bankruptcies were of the corporate kind. Personal bankruptcies are much different than corporate ones. A personal bankruptcy is rarely due to anything other than stupidity and/or extremely poor decision making (sure honey I’ll buy you that 80k wedding despite you being a gender studies major and me working at the local McDonalds, that’s what the Amex is for!).
A corporation on the other hand is a group of people getting together and chipping in to take a risk. Sometimes the risk pays off, other times it does not. Corporate bankruptcies are due to a much wider range of factors, many of which cannot be controlled, such as what your competitors are doing, changing in the demand levels of the market, increases in your production or basic materials costs, idiot liberals upping the minimum wage to 15$ an hour, etc.
Now sure stupidity or negligence can play a part, but when a guy who buys and sells companies as often as trump only has THREE bankruptcies in his decades long career, and nobody could dig up any negligence or stupidity to go along with them, I think we can count that as a rather large win. The best race car driver in the world has crashed his fair share of cars after all, it doesn’t make him a bad bet.

What they’ve found is that many of Trump supporters are low-information voters who know “little about his policy views beyond immigration”. Polling shows that 80% of white Republicans, when the answers are “deport most/all”, “do not deport most/all”, or “unsure”, choose the first response.
No matter what Trump does, the establishment can’t knock him out of the top spot because he gets so much sticky support for his immigration stance. He has a solid base on immigration alone, and his ZFG attitude when it comes to political correctness is bringing more people over to him every day. The more people learn about him, the more they are drawn to him.

About that republican nomination… I watched more closely during the Ron Paul run, so people reading here should be informed how this actually works. The primary for the candidate goes like this: varying by state, either registered or unregistered voters or party members, registration time limits may or may not apply (but it’s a supposed wash as within a state it goes both ways). The republican (or democratic-it’s the same for both) organization in each voting district allocates delegates based on the votes received. These delegates may be “bound” to the candidates, or “non-bound” depending on the state: non-bounded delegates can of course change their votes at their state convention. There are bonus delegates awarded for a state having a republican congress or governor. In addition, some states use a representational system, some use a winner-take-all system for the delegates. Afterwards-everybody goes to the national caucus and the heads get counted and deals get made. The Ron Paul movement mostly lost the fight for delegates, and as such, was mostly ignored and sidelined in the national convention. Trump not being a part of the organization, has the threat of an independent run to use on the Republican Party (the foil for Hilary, as is often proposed), where Ron Paul had essentially no shot being an anti-war candidate and too nice and honest of a guy to fend off the media. I am interested to see what happens for trump at the conventions.
