My stepfather bought a black “Little Bill” (Cosby) doll maybe 12 or so years ago on Christmas Eve in a drug store on clearance as a gag gift. He used to wrap it and give it to an unsuspecting mark for Christmas year after year.
My nephew who may have been two at the time (he is now 11) grabbed the Little Bill doll’s hand and started chomping on it, obviously believing it to be chocolate. The story just came up this Christmas past.

That Kukri will be my go to CQ weapon. It will easily lop an arm off and that knuckle duster rocks. Imagine one of those WWI trench knives with the knucjkle dusters made into a 21″ Kukri. I will look into that Bowie and try to find one. I’m surprised they discontinue anything. Cold Steel must make 150 different types of knives. The Tanto will punch through a 2mm steel door.

I think that you’re right; the 1954 Supreme Court Brown v. Board of Education school desegregation decision had as at least one of its bases sociological studies that black children preferred white dolls. What that had to do with the 14th Amendment is anyone’s guess, but the Court clearly wanted to reach the result that it did for sociopolitical reasons and make-weight psychology was as good as anything else in that constitutional atrocity of a decision and an opinion. When you see pictures of the 1950s versus today and wonder whence sprang the difference, there’s one of them.
