Where The Left And Sane Americans Can Find Common Ground

January 3, 2016 by CH

Americans are more ideologically and culturally polarized now than at any time except perhaps the decade before and after the Civil War. A shared vision for the future seems impossible, but there are issues, if you search hard enough, that can bring together the Left and the Sane, allies for at least one important cause.

That common cause is the malignancy known as the Surveillance State. The Chateau has been against the emerging Surveillance State for a long time. Post-Snowden, it’s no exaggeration to say that Orwell’s vision of a Big Brother watching your every move has become a reality in America. It would not have been too long ago when most Americans would’ve been creeped out and enraged by giant corporations collecting personal information to deliver tailored advertisements through home entertainment devices, and by government snoops recording everyone’s phone conversations. But here we are, that dystopian scenario come true.

The Surveillance State is a direct consequence of the additive powers of Diversity™ and SCALE. The more competing, often antagonistic, ethnies and races within the borders of a nation, the lower the inter- and intragroup levels of trust, and the greater the need, real or perceived, for monitoring potential flash points of violence/corruption/terrorism/rebellion/crimethink. SCALE is simply a nation and its attendant governing bureaucracies that have gotten too large to benignly manage. An overly large and contentious Diversitopia like the US, where everyone feels like a stranger in their own land, will slowly succumb to various illiberal intrusions into personal freedoms. (This trend accelerated with the Civil Rights Act which supplanted the right of free association with a right to equal opportunity and then to equal outcomes).

As CH wrote about the SS as one plank of a four-plank Dissident Party political movement,

We’re living in Big Brother’s world, just as Orwell described. I continue to be amazed that the average American isn’t more incensed than he appears to be by the constant surveillance. Bottom line: It needs to end. No more marketing firms collecting reams of personal data. No more Facebook shenanigans. No government snoops reading your late night pervy sexts to plate number three. Triple layered encryption should be the default condition for all consumer electronics, built right into the firmware. Eyes in the sky should be ripped from their street corner perches. I don’t want to live in a surveillance state; I want to live in a cohesive society with high trust levels that obviates the need for mass surveillance.

There are stirrings that the Left is becoming increasingly uncomfortable with the Surveillance State. (Maybe they got the hives when their online shaming and doxing SJW campaigns were turned against them.) For instance, here is a story in the Washington Post-Op about “techno-skeptics” on the Left fearing the omnipresence of Big Data and invasion of privacy.

They are right to worry. The British government is using internet surveillance powers to “unmask online bullies”. It’s easy to foresee a small hop from that superficially noble goal to the government using those same powers to silence its critics under threat of public exposure, job loss, or even imprisonment.

This is what happens when you give globohomocorps and governments wide-ranging powers to surveil private communications under the auspice of thwarting Muslim terror attacks: eventually those powers are turned against everyday citizens. (Hint: the answer isn’t surveillance, it’s closing the borders to Muslim immigration.)

The Dissident Right (including yours truly) has been sounding the alarm about the Surveillance State for years. The Left is just now hearing that alarm. Better late than never. And better united than apart when confronting a beast as tentacled and ominous as the one Edward Snowden heroically revealed when he became a necessary traitor to a country that long before him became a traitor to its own people.

Almost forgot……

The Surveillance State isn’t a problem if we–Nationalist Whites–control the State,

Do you think the Left’s security apparatus can’t or won’t be turned on them once we acquire power?

      No fucking way.

Whites need to retain the will and imagination to use power for our own advantage against our adversaries.

E.g. appeal to hipsters’ infatuation with cottage industries by supporting small brewers against Sephardic Brazilian Kleptocorp Anheuser Busch’s drive to require FDA labelling on small brews. Other mutual-ground examples: Gubmint preventing Amish & similar farmers from selling non-pasteurized milk; patented Genetically-Modified crops spreading their un-natural genes throughout the environment; this g00k dude in China who just announced that he is going to clone prize livestock by the millions, health department attempts to regulate farmers’ markets & roadside fruit stands & sidewalk hotdog vendors out of existence. Hipsters will come to you in droves if you stand up for these Cottage Industries against Evil KleptoCorp.

I ain’t no hipster, but ‘cottage industry’ pretty much means ‘small business’ (VERY small), and they need all the help they can get.
Re: milk – raw, unpasteurized milk straight from the cow (or goat) is one of nature’s miracle foods. As long as the cow is healthy, all hands/equipment are scrupulously clean and the path from farm to consumer is short, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it. That chalky water you buy in stores has about as much to do with milk as the DizzyWorld employee dressed as Mickey does with a real mouse.
Just like those puffed-up sugar-and-gelatin balloons in plastic bags have nothing to do with actual marshmallow.
I think one big reason why everyone has ‘allergies’ against everything these days is that all the food’s been fucked around with so much, it isn’t real anymore.
Grapes and watermelons have no seeds (how do they grow? Immaculate conception?), but those seeds contain all sorts of very healthy compounds.
Most tomatoes don’t taste like tomatoes, they taste like water.
Spinach used to have a pretty strong bitter aftertaste, now it has no taste at all, fore, during or after.
The problem with political candidates claiming to want to do something for small business or the ‘middle class’, they all do it, no one ever actually does anything, so such claims may no longer fly.

Good take Professor, concur. Take two cee-gars out of petty tobacco. Notice how Code Pink disappeared when Obama got in? Suddenly B/S wars were ok. The established protest establishment that took up residence in front of the White House at Lafayette Park for eight years of “W”‘s administration from 9/11 onward broke camp the minute Obama was sworn in. Abuses of “security”, not to mention doubling down in Afghanistan, snooping, the tyranny of TSA all became ok. All protest went by the wayside, but it was never as if any of their children served in the military. it was never as if any leftie has skin in the game of war. Their interest is to harass the Right when the Right holds power. Once the Left holds/held power, all dissent evaporated.

If a Republican ever gets into the White House again (I don’t think demographics in the U.S. supports that happening again, ever), the history will be re-written that these abuses were started by the new Republican President and the protest movement will be back in business anew. Those excesses committed by Democrats are forgiven, for these folks are intrinsically Democrat and their rage is turned on and off like a light switch. Off for Democrat, on for Republican. Nothing new to see here.

The very second Trump pulls the upset in NY – journalists all over every TV dissolving in tears of fearhatedisgust – they will go into full-on open throttle ‘He’s Illegitimate!’ ‘He’s Hitler!’ ‘ He’s Satan!’ mode.
Nothing new, really, they did the same with Bush (who was also going to declare martial law to artificially prolong his presidency), and, I think, Reagan.
Bill Clinton was also declared illegitimate (by the right), so was Obama, who wasn’t born in the US and also a Muslim Communist.
Both of them were also going to establish martial law, see above.
Interestingly, current rhetoric is actually pretty mild compared to what they were calling each other in the 18th and 19th centuries, when politicians still had balls and there were still fist fights in congress.

I don’t remember anyone calling Bubba “illegitimate”, although they were appalled at the way he played his ROTC officer like a fool, and the fact that he had organized anti-USA protests on foreign soil, while on his Rhodes. My recollection is that the worst of the actual r@pe-r@pe [brutal physical r@pe] accusations did not became known until maybe his second term – rumors of r@ping a fellow student at Oxford, rumors of r@ping a student while teaching at UArk Law School, and then of course the Kathleen Willey / Candy Crowley interview, which NBC held until AFTER the impeachment vote.

Anything of the state is a symptom of the people. Culture is upstream of politics. The welfare exists partially because of the “race to the bottom” but I would argue it also exists due to a lack of paternalism – the poor are too free, more free than their natural decision-making allows for, and this has a disastrous effect upon them, and by extension, the rest of us.

The surveillance state is a symptom of a lack of homogeneity and social discipline. It is no good for the leftoid to resist the surveillance state symptom whilst fully supporting the very causes of that surveillance – i.e. diversity and individual license. The left would have us be both liberal and diverse. They would give the orcs the run of the place. And in times ahead it may be the case that an authoritarian/surveillance state is the lesser evil compared to the caliphate.

There’s no point resisting the surveillance state whilst simultaneously supporting diversity and the breakdown of social order at every turn. That’s pure chaos. That’s giving the orcs and criminals the run of the place indefinitely and it would lead to a caliphate in Europe. The authoritarian state is the lesser evil in that scenario.

Same goes for the welfare state. There’s no point in resisting that if you have no plan for the poor. The alternative to the maternal nanny state is not the great indifference of the libertarian, no, the alternative to maternalism is paternal social order. There’s no sense in supporting autistic chaos and the permissive society and then complaining about the size of the welfare state. The problem is that the poor are too free and this more than anything else is the reason for their squalor.

The whole approach of ‘where can the Left and the Right find common ground’ is doomed to failure for a number of reasons. The whole left-right divide is a false divide designed to divide and rule the population, and create the impression that there is some choice and alternatives when in fact they all represent much the same vested interests. Ergo, the left and right can only really cooperate when it comes to maintaining the interests of the powers that be. Otherwise they have to promote divisions on other issues in order to divide and rule the plebs. They cannot cooperate on challenging the power structure, because by definition they are illusions created by the power structure.

If you have a two-horse race, and both horses are owned by the same individual, don’t put your money on both horses working out how to find common ground in challenging the dominant position of the owner.

Libs may jabber about not liking surveillance (especially when it catches black felons holding guns before they get shot), but in fact they LOVE it. It makes it easier for them to use government power and Party-controlled businesses to harass and silence dissent. Power — by which I mean power for the Party which acts as a proxy for all their own impotence and spite — is all they care about.

Sure, they may make some token revolutionary-sounding noises about “corporations” and Cheney, but look at what they do rather than what they say. They want less anonymity on line. They want less privacy in the physical world. They want more tracking and monitoring.

They WANT to live in Orwell’s dystopia. They really do. They WANT Big Brother. That was Orwell’s big epiphany, which most of his readers still don’t get: Oceania didn’t depend on oppression and tyranny to compel obedience; most people actually DID love Big Brother. They loved the “Two Minute Hate” (we call it Twitter nowadays). They sublimated their natural sex drives into Party loyalty (see any random Guardian columnist). That’s the real nightmare of 1984 . . . and the Age of Obama.

Like Trimegistus above, I don’t think that compromise is possible with the Left. On their rational end, they crave power and our eradication. On their irrational end, they are all tactics, no principles; in other words, irrational. The Jonathan Liebowitz effect — glandular, femenine aggressive snark without a coherent vision behind it — is either the cause or the reflection of their insanity.

An anti-surveillance reaching out would work with the squishy, still-comfortable, or Stockholm syndrome apolitical middle. The Left itself can only be brought in line via our own demonstration of irresistible power.

Strategically then it’s more important to travel to Florida to cast votes and temporarily change my party affiliation to Republican to participate in the Deep South primary.

Or, can I vote in both? I do have CO and FL licenses.

At the gym this morning I saw a black man wearing a black hoodie that said “ASSATA TAUGHT ME.” I paid no attention beyond that, however, later this morning I heard the word “akata” and looked it up to learn what it meant. I read that it is a term associated with blacks. Anyway, I looked up “Akata taught me” because I didn’t completely remember what the man’s hoodie had said. Google redirected me to “Assata taught me” and my eyes were opened.

Assata Shakur is a cop killer, a violent criminal, and member of the Black Panthers and Black Liberation Army who fled our country to Cuba in the 70s. She’s on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list. A google image search of “Assata taught me” will show you Black Lives Matter rioters wearing the same hoodie as the man I saw this morning. Only in Modern America can a black man get away wearing clothing with that message.

I’ve gotten away with wearing White Nationalist clothing (apart from one incident at the gym where I was politely asked to remove a White Power t-shirt, which I did after my 45-min workout).

I think the term to which we proudly subscribe is Paleoconservative or “Old Right.”

I was disgusted by the unwavering allegiance that Republicans gave to W. and his so-called Patriot Act. Someone mentioned Ron Paul. He made me realize that I didn’t have to abandon Conservativism just because the GOP was. I joined the Constitution Party in 2010.

As long as “Paleoconservative or Old Right” teaches its boys to man up, grow a pair, fake it til they make it, slay the P00ntang, and put Whyte Bunz in Whyte Ovenz. And teaches its girls to forgo the careeristic cat-lady spinster nihilism & the su!cidal pursuit of the 1000-C0ck-Stare and instead to get their beautiful Whyte bellies all bloated up by Whyte babeez inside of them.

CH, your thesis here rests on the demonstrably false presupposition that progressives: 1. Aren’t hypocrites, and, 2. Are not immune to cognitive dissonance.

Most obviously, look at a liberal’s stance on free speech – a liberal endorses free speech….except for you and anyone else with views or opinions contrary to the liberal’s opinions.

This will be the progressive view of the SS.
All- encompassing, unconstitutional and most definitely illegal surveillance of US citizens is of course unacceptable…..except for Whites, Republicans, gun owners, church goers, intact nuclear families, etc etc, all of whom obviously represent an existential threat to the lives of true Americans.
You know, the hipsters, baristas, spoken-word artists, sidewalk banjo strummers, soulful Negroes, unfairly maligned La Raza strawberry pickers, sociology “professors”, and wise, hairy arm-pitted feminists who have made this country a beacon of opportunity and freedom across the globe.

In short, never expect to make common cause with a denizen of the left.
They have absolutely no intention of returning the favor.

Absolutely right. We here often cut these people much too much slack.

The average citizen is of course lttle better than a retarded parrot, but professional lefties in the media are perfectly well aware of their own biases and logical fallacies. They just don’t care about them because they know that to be a hypocrite is career-advancing.

I think the most positive aspect of a Trump nomination is that it will drive out the neocons. They’ve been an albatross around our necks for far too long, and frankly there aren’t that many of them. They just make a lot of noise. Getting rid of them will help a lot.

The counterintuitive fact is that “privacy” was literally aborted en masse in 1973. The blindingly obvious truth is that the super-majority of MRKNs do not at all retain a principled argument for personal privacy as it is pretty much accepted from “left” to “right” that the “white mother” has a “fundamental right” to kill her white son in utero without ever needing to revoke this wretched belief even in those instances were a mother’s whim “failed” to exercise the “good” of a “fundamental right.”

So even at the Chateau, there are many “white” males huffing and puffing about their lost “privacy” who have never even taken the first step in reclaiming it by pressing their “mothers” to revoke their collective degenerate belief in killing the nascent individual’s emergent desire for privacy.

So the meta-scheme was to entice a minority of future “white mothers” to maximize their “privacy” BY WAY OF PLAYING “god or devil” for ALL EMERGING privacy seekers (so they kill privacy or grant it with caveat). These “mothers” were granted the MOST RADICAL PRIVACY for the purpose of annihilating that progeny desirous of principled privacy.

And the plan has worked as most alt-riters are pro self-annihilation, ie., BELEIVERS in the “right” of the “mother” to kill nascent desire for privacy within.

First, “we” operate in a Profiling State for the purpose of applying surveillance, nanny and police “state” anywhere and at anytime on this MRKN playing field. The cost of mass equality is a radical autonomy and the evolving profiling mechanisms required to impose a lost predictability.

Incredibly, a story came out last week about US surveillance.

    http://www.wsj.com/articles/u-s-spy-net-on-israel-snares-congress-1451425210

The story was supposed to be about the US spying on Israel, as if that was some sort of big story. our intelligence apparatus is supposed to spy on foreign countries; that’s what they’re paid to do. However the real story was that the administration was spying on US Congressman and pro-Israel groups while spying on the Israeli government.

Obama spying on American citizens. Now warrant, and for purely political purposes.

What should be a bigger scandal than Watergate is barely mentioned on the news. In fact, as a news story, it’s already over.

Read “The Transparent Society” by David Brin. He maybe a leftoid but he is right – the fight for privacy is long lost, and the only thing we can do is to use surveillance to our advantage, rather than being its victims.

Whenever something truly new happens in a society, it happens because of a new technology, and today’s technology does not want you to hide. The cost of surveillance is going dramatically down, by many orders of magnitude, so yes, by simple supply and demand, there will be more of it.

Never fight technology. You will be crushed. Use it, and turn it on your enemies.

The problem is that those who innovate the technology are of the same kind as those who are actually disturbed by its massive application which is a technology of its own ALSO innovated by the same individuals. So the reality is that any turn back on the Profiing State will necessitate the annihilation of the high IQ “white” males (by other high IQ white males) who are the leading innovators of all the surveillance and network technology utilized in MRKA.

No mechanism has unlimited functionality… All mechanisms must be “scaled…” Fit to its environment for maximum functionality. The mechanisms of Liberalism don’t scale to a large diverse mass of individuals UNLESS the core of that mass has been successfully deracinated. But when this occurs, the core is destroyed along with the Liberal mechanisms of tolerance and nondiscrimination that are inherent to that core.
