Me too. I read a lot of the classic thinkers in college — ancient Greeks through to the twentieth century — but my profs (mostly conservative, BTW) never seemed to assign stuff on gender relations. Like it was a sidelight not worthy of their time. Narcissiste is helping to fill that gap in knowledge.

There is an important distinction between what Russell is saying, and our modern conceptions of economics. These days, economics are viewed as an end in themselves – Capitalism for Capitalism’s sake, or Socialism for Socialism’s sake. In Russell’s analysis, these issues come after the acknowledgement of country. They aren’t ends, but rather means to serve the country as a whole. The Socialism described here is nothing like the Welfare State of today, just as his fellow Capitalists wouldn’t have been celebrating the ability of corporations to influence governments.

This cultural cycle is little different than myriad others in human history. Until such time as a better human comes into being it is simply an artifact of our genome. Natural selection isn’t currently functional in western society so we pay out financial incentives to the lowest common denominator and they gradually outnumber more intelligent, creative and productive people. It seems painfully obvious that genetic manipulation of our species is the only solution.

I have always lamented that seeing what is to come is trivially easy to someone that understands human nature, and looks at the logical outcome of that. The problem is that some groups (liberals) actively seek that outcome – the only option for the sane individual is to bend it to be beneficial to them. That is what I have done throughout life – bend things to benefit me, even if they were put in place to penalize me for being who I am – white, and male.
The key is to not take it personally, and to not care about the logical outcome. I have squirreled money away in other countries and have increased my connections to those for when I call it quits and abandon this sinking ship. Till then, I just reap the pussy rewards available to a man that understands the strong drive for young women to seek acceptance from strong male, “Father” figures. Of course, this father enjoys all that young women have to offer him.
This past weekend, I was enjoying a sweet young thing still in braces, in her senior year of high-school – for some reason that turns me on to see such a sweet little thing on her knees doing whatever I want – which is why I do it. I see my listening to them, and giving them the Fatherly interaction as the cost of getting them to do the things I enjoy. Once, it used to bother me to be so obvious in using young women as sexual toys, but that was long ago. As to “fearing what is to come” – why? Embrace the freedom you have been given, and enjoy every second of it, because as Russell points out – you’ll be dead soon enough. So leave little ones for the state to take care of – just be sure to make it to the benefit of the woman to point to another, younger man as the father. After all, no young woman wants to admit what she’s been doing with that man old enough to be her grand-father. 🙂 Again, understanding human nature gives you power – use it.

During the last week of January flights into DC were shut down due to a major snow storm. I was heading back from Calgary after spending a week heli-skiing in the Canadian Rockies. No matter how anti-family the laws may become, there will be women in society who love their children so much that they choose to spend the rest of their lives married to a boring but dependable man. Those children get the benefit of a financially secure upbringing, emotional support from their fathers, and high social status. When the laws require women to do what’s best for their children, we do not really get to see which women love their children the most. But when the laws are set so that women constantly face the temptation to throw away their children’s futures, we really see which women love their kids and which women only love themselves.
