I read War and Peace more than ten years ago in my early 30’s. It’s excellent literature, and had prescient value when it was written. Nowadays, it’s pure wisdom regarding human relations, and a strong caution against enlisting in any nation’s regular armed forces.
It does not take three months to read. Again, once one becomes accustomed to the Russian names, after about page 50, you’ll move through it very quickly. I think it took me about 3 weeks, and I was studying for my professional engineer’s exam at the time.
If you haven’t read Tolstoy’s War and Peace, do. Then read Dostoyevsky.

This remains to be seen though. I’d expect Sanders on the list as a failsafe in case the battle with Hillary doesn’t go as it should. VP slot should keep him out of trouble anyway and it sinks Hillary in one move. I bet Clinton will offer to let him work on some “policy” as his pet VP project, and he’ll take the deal.
I haven’t given much thought to Trump’s VP pick, but there’s plenty of time for that. I do hope, however, that it isn’t some lame affirmative-action pick. He is better off picking an ‘insurance policy’ VP – i.e., “You assassinate me, and you are going to get someone even tougher, smarter, and totally incorruptible!” With the economy in shambles, he should pick a non-Wall Street insider with an excellent resume, and preferably someone who has made accurate predictions of economic problems. Should be a family man, a good public speaker (absolutely necessary for debating), not too much of an egg head, tall (let’s face it, height is commanding in politics…if Trump were shorter, he may not have been able to carry it all off), environmentally conscious, and not a war monger. Cannot think of anyone that fits that description, but know they are out there. We must assume that he will be debating Bernie.

The funny thing is that, as is being pointed out elsewhere (e.g. VDARE), the reason Cruz was the last man standing “against” Trump is precisely because he mimicked so many of the same positions that Trump brought to the foreground, chief among them immigration (legal and illegal) and unwise trade deals.
The problem many people had with Cruz is that his co-opting of Trump’s bold positions seemed insincere. I probably wouldn’t have vote for Cruz in a general election had he been coronated as the Republican Nominee against the will of the people, but I would have voted for him if he won fair and square against the other Republicans, even if I doubted his sincerity on the issues that matter most to me.
Those proclaiming to be die-hard Cruz supporters who now say they will refuse to vote for Trump, or will vote Hillary over Trump, are just showing their true colors. For them, it was never about the issues; likewise, Cruz’s co-opting of Trump’s positions was likely not sincere.

“[Cruz] mimicked so many of the same positions that Trump brought to the foreground…” ——— I’ve been making that point for a while now: Cruz’s entire campaign was built upon a foundation of PLAGIARISM of Trump’s campaign. As far as I can tell, Cruz didn’t put forth a single original idea since the moment he announced his candidacy. In fact, I don’t know that Cruz has ever had an original idea in his entire life. Apparently Princeton & Harvard are now just assembly lines for the production of mantra-spewing canon-reciting cant-repeating spergtarded automatons.

“Around Washington, chatter about the possibility of an independent run by a traditional conservative is becoming louder. Rest assured, the Donald Trump campaign will offer no shortage of opportunities for grifters. But if you’ve been a charter member of the Washington establishment, your calls probably aren’t getting returned as quickly as you might like, especially if you’ve spent the past half-year typing the #NeverTrump hashtag into your Twitter feed.”

Trump wins the general election by maximizing Republican turnout and snagging millions of “common sense independents” and “patriotic”, “sensible”, “old school Democrats.”
He needs to throw around those phrases during speeches and media appearances because that inclined-to-stay-home demographic is listening and will decide the election.

The absolutely remarkable thing about Trump is that, unlike almost every other candidate we’ve had in recent history, the more you know about the guy, the more impressive he his. He’s the real deal. That’s the exact opposite of his sole remaining opponent, the Clitster, where the more you learn about her the greater your gag reflex
I suspect there will be a great thawing to Trump now that the awareness has sunk in that he’s not going away. With the other candidates out of the way, people (including the press) will begin to look into the real Trump, the man behind the stage persona. His books will fly off the shelves. Media outlets with information about who he is will have the highest ratings. (Ratings are going to be the Achilles’s heel of Trump’s bloodsucking, shekel-mongering for-profit adversaries)
as I commented earlier my local shitlib feeding trough just re-ran a flattering 2012 article called “At Home with the Trumps”. I almost spat out my coffee

—
“I’m getting ready to rent a covered wagon,” he said then. “We’re going to have a big sail and have the wind blow us to the Rocky Mountains and over the mountains to California.”
That was an odd metaphor, but an apt one. After Ohio, Kasich did about as well as somebody trying to cross the Rockies in a sail-powered wagon.

Even a 4 year Trump presidency with bipartisan opposition in Congress (unlikely) will not be lame duck when it comes to the certain issues.
Building a wall? Deporting illegal immigrants? Cutting back on H1-B visas and other “guest worker” scams? He don’t need no stinkin’ Congress cucks.
The president is the Executive, controlling on his own one-third of the entire federal government, and in particular the arm of the federal government tasked with ENFORCING THE LAWS that are already passed by Congress. (The president is, of course, also in charge of the administrative agencies tasked with enforcing the regulations set forth by those agencies pursuant to the laws passed directly by Congress.)
We already have laws about protecting the border — exactly HOW the president decides he must enforce the law is pretty much up to him.
Ditto re illegal immigrants.
Ditto re visas (do you ever remember a time when Congress was voting on the number of “guest workers” to admit in a given year? No, of course not — because it’s just an administrative decision carried out by the Executive branch).
His position as Commander-in-Chief also gives the president wide latitude to deploy / retract the military where/when he sees necessary for the defense of the country. Congress doesn’t control those decisions either. There may be some treaty-based obligations, but those don’t usually set low-level details in stone and the president has wide latitude in interpreting and carrying out the treaties.

And this is exactly why the Jewstsblishment is scared. The laws on the books concerning immigratin have not been enforced for decades. US border patrol is grossly under staffed and under funded given its commissioned duty. This is on purpose.
Trump will shut off the spickets of the American nation building in the middle east scams and redirect resources. It will end revenue streams for many foreign businesses that have been scamming this country for years.
Senior excutives of large multinational corps will lose money. They wont be able to keep middle class wages low anymore and take high profits. theyll have to keep jobs in america, for american citizens. this will cost the top 1%, including trump himself. he knows this and hes willing to do it.
These truths are precisely why the media cuckstablishment complex is so viscerally against him.
