speaking of sex differences, a friend of mine and I had noted that young women seemed to have tattoos more often than not, and there are some subtle exceptions to this, but your average young female seems to be quite prone to getting a tattoo. I find tattoos silly because you can’t really observe them unless quite close and the colouring tends to be very ugly so even if the tattoo itself is a great work of art, which is of course never true about tattoos, it will still look like a maori warrior’s tribal markings. Why are they doing this? I have always known tattoos for men to be a symbol of menace so I apply the same to women and believe the increase may be a result of a desperate attempt to show their toughness and independence when in fact they know deep down they can’t compete with men in traditionally male roles.

This is actually the third major vote in the past few years where the outcome was unexpected; Scottish referendum, May 2015 Conservative victory, and the EU referendum all turned out different from how polls suggested they would. I talked about it with a friend and he pointed out something new to me I hadn’t heard of before, the Bradley effect, an American’s idea about how white people vote. Basically people aren’t honest about how they will vote. In fact, I read some firms tried to do their own polls to predict markets and failed at it. The pattern in these three votes was that people lied so as to skew it in a more leftward direction but they voted more conservatively. It makes sense, we wouldn’t want to reveal embarrassing conservative ideas would we?

Some good news out of Iceland, History Professor, and political outsider (uhhhuuumm….Trump), Gudni Johannesson won the Presidencuy after riding a wave of anti-establishment sentiment, final results showed Sunday, with nearly 76% (yes, 76%….oldest Democracy in the world) voter turnout. He is anti-EU.
He won with 39.1 percent of votes, and was trailed by businesswoman Halla Tomasdottir (thank God he beat the businesswoman), also without party affiliation, who took 29.4 percent.
In other good news for Iceland, their soccer team (all White, all Icelandic) is in the final 16 teams for the Eurocup (soccer), facing England on Monday. Cheer them on, men!
