Has Median Household Income Really Gone Up? (Answer: Not Likely)

September 26, 2016 by CH

A week ago, the liberal media outlets (but I repeat myself) crowed about a Census Bureau report claiming that the 2014-2015 percentage increase in median household income was the largest since 1998.

A commenter at the Census Bureau blog, Dr. Noman, throttles the claim,

“I would also appreciate any comments from the Census Bureau that elucidate the “one-off” uniqueness of this rate?”

Don’t expect one. The Census Bureau has pulled a fast one here just before the election. A lot of the increase is due to the redesigned questioning for median income and they know it. Google search ‘2013 redesign census’ and follow the PDF links especially.

Or look at a previous blog post here:
http://blogs.census.gov/2015/09/15/comparison-guidance-income-and-poverty/

Their own studies show that the redesigned questions inflate median income figures, and they’ve mentioned in the fine print several places that comparisons for median income for now prior to 2013 should be made with caution, but they didn’t mention it when pitching these numbers to the press, and they didn’t exercise that caution on their own.

That’s why the note about the recent increase not being significantly different than 1997-1998 is there. It’s cover.

So the Census Bureau has proved itself another corrupted wing of the Equalist Leftoid State, pulling a globalism-monger shenanigan intended to hurt Trump and nationalist spirit and aid the legacy of the Gay Mulatto and thecunt’s election chances. The anti-Whiters want so badly to say, “See? Diversity really IS our strength! Median household income is up as Whites are down!” And the Narrative-ensconced Census Bureau has stepped in to help them assert their lie with a patina of plausibility.

Welcome to low-trust America. We hope you enjoy your stay in a nation run by people who actively lie to you, day in and day out, because they hate your guts and dream of ushering a nightmarish deracinated America subsumed in total to the mystery meat market of the world.

I predicted this, on September 13, 2016, at 7:55 pm, in “A Return To Noblesse Oblige”.

I am sure something regarding this topic will come up tonight. What’s great about Trump is he’ll make a reference in general about what’s going–similar to the Boeing-moving-to-China remark–that will get everyone in a frenzy, but when they start to dig deeper, it’s like, oh shit, he was right.

And tangentially to that, was Trump tweeting–hahaha–that he’d invite Gennifer Flowers to the debate and that got thousands, if not millions, of millennials googling her name like crazy and finding out what’s what.

Trump should appoint a Purge Czar just to reverse the left’s long march through the institutions. Step one, fire everyone who isn’t maintaining some critical infrastructure (e.g., the entire Department of Education, the entire EEOC, etc etc). People will calm down quick as Trump eliminates entire tax brackets because we don’t have to pay all these tapeworms any more.

it won’t necessarily be unpleasant if it is actually PUBLIC service and not globalist-cartel-enforcer service.

the unpleasantness would be in initially having to constantly protect yourself and your loved ones from assassination attempts, at least for the first couple years.

That’s not how the left took over the bureaucracy. They took it by requiring a college degree, any college degree, to be considered for employment. Didn’t matter if the position actually required a degree. This solved a couple of problems the left had. It created real jobs to warehouse the people who got soft degrees like women’s studies, extending the amount of time that colleges would be able to churn out worthless, assimilated graduates, and it allowed them to fill most every position in the bureaucracy with those same assimilated graduates. You want a chance at taking back the bureaucracy then attack the preference for college degrees and minority status.

The higher education racket is another thing he needs to bust up. The left loves to make hay over Trump University, but let’s face it – people who fell for that suffered, in the aggregate, far less financial damage and certainly less leftoid brainwashing.

Don’t know who they are trying to fool if the average person hearing it will conclude that they are doing worse than average under Obama; these aren’t Machiavellian lies they are lies of weakness

I wouldn’t say the censure bureau is any more corrupt than any other government agency, but I don’t think you’re realizing the trend. These small changes to statistical analysis by a given administration had been going on for decades each one making small adjustments to make itself look better. These small changes add up and when taken in aggregate completely warp reality.

Yep. And there’s the bogus substitution of “equivalent rent” for housing prices in the CPI to mask housing inflation, the whole pseudoscience of “hedonic adjustment”, the practice of quietly and retrospectively revising the GDP numbers downward (multiple times), the FDIC’s announcements of bank failures on Friday nights to keep them out of the news cycle, week after week…

Heh. The irony… my median income was up in 2014-2015… because I worked a 2nd job and 65-85 hours a week… then got laid off from both in the same week, 2 weeks before Christmas. Googles.

Sure enough, it looks like Illary is giving up on the contest for Ohio:

one place where median incomes have been hit hard by the Goodwhyte Globalist war on ordinary people; Trump is now up 2 pts there in the RCP poll average.

Next target, Pennsylvania; her poll avg is collapsing there too. And then it’s all over…

One look at Walmart shows the reality about how much extra spending money the working poor and lower-middle class have. Let’s look at that behemoth known as Walmart. On October 14, 2015, Walmart saw its stock fall 10%. Then, on January 15, 2016, Walmart announced it will close 269 stores in 2016, affecting 16,000 workers, with 154 of those stores being in the U.S.

Walmarts closing = people do not have a lot of extra money to spend, do to increased housing and other expenditures, as well as job losses.

Speaking of Walfart, police reports from dozens of Walmart stores point to the fact that the number of petty crimes committed on its properties nationwide in 2016 will be in the hundreds of thousands. Additionally, more than 200 violent crimes, including attempted kidnappings and multiple stabbings, shootings, and murders, have occurred at the nation’s 4,500 Walmarts as of August 2016, or about one a day. Here’s the kicker: The high crime rate is attributable to Walmart’s cost-cutting measures. Walmart has taken steps to ameliorate the problem. lol…wtf?! What does that mean? Talk about bullshit! No, it can’t, it just can’t, I’m telling you it cannot, be all the googles running around in and around a lot of Walfarts! Or the collapse of civilized society for most of the humanoids who shop there.

When half of all US workers earn less than 30k per year (for the last 5 years it’s been about $26k) there is a problem.

I believe the issue is first and foremost currency devaluation through deficit spending.

So many either don’t believe or don’t understand the connection between the government borrowing trillions into existence (from thin air) and the devaluation of the money we had to EARN.

On purpose. How many here learned about Jeckyll Island, the FedReserve, and the IRS in school?

I’d wager no one did unless they looked it up on their own. And that information is pivotal to understanding the US economy and why it’s in the shitter right now.

Damn, you’re good, you preempted this weaponised piece of shit and it’s intention before the debate.
    The first question-
Achieving prosperity: ‘there are two economic realities in America today, there’s been a record 6 straight years of job growth and new census numbers show incomes have increased at a record rate after years of stagnation, however, income inequality remains significant and nearly half of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck. Beginning with you Secretary Clinton, why are you a better choice than your opponent to create the kinds of jobs that will put more money into the pockets of American workers?’

I said when i commented on this question on other sites that it was as though Obama himself wrote it.
