I disagree. If the fix is truly in for Billary to get elected, the FBI would not have re-opened the case. They would have sat on it. Most likely some honest FBI guys told comey straight up that she belongs in jail and were willing to spill the beans on the whole shebang if comey caved again. Another likely scenario is Trump et al have a lot more dirt on the whole Clinton foundation scheme, see victory in the headlights and went to the FBI and made them an offer they couldn’t refuse. As in, do your fucking job or you’ll all be on the docket come January.

A few decades ago, I worked at a high, non-attorney level for one of the New York Metro area DAs so I know the structure of the system. The NY Office of the FBI is conducting the Weiner sexting investigation and the US Attorney impaneled a grand jury to drive the investigation. It turns out that in a criminal investigation involving sexual electronic interaction with a minor, a Fed grand jury can subpoena (i.e. seize) ALL of the electronic devices that the suspect might have had access to, whether they belong to that suspect or not. Ergo, Abedin’s stuff gets seized as well as Weiner’s plus any devices they shared. I don’t think the HRC legal team or Abedin was anticipating that subpoena covering her devices as well. Consequently, all of the e-mails she exchanged with HRC were still right there, perhaps on a laptop and/or old cell phones that she no longer uses and forgot. Once the investigating FBI agents came upon the e-mails, they would have brought them to the attention of the Assistant US Attorney(s) assigned to the case who no doubt immediately informed their boss, the US Attorney for the Southern District of NY, one Preet Bharara. Now understand that Bhahara, while appointed by BHO, has a well deserved rep for successfully going after political corruption, including politically well hung Democrats like Shelly Silver. the former Speaker of the NYS Assembly- nobody was more politically powerful in NYS for decades than Shelly but he’s doing real time for bribery.
I think Bharara along with the head of the FBI’s NY office, after a lot of “back off, this is strictly a HQ matter, told Lynch and Comey that either the FBI announces that it’s re-opening the case or we’ll announce we’re opening our own separate investigation.

All votes should be publicly cast on the day of the election by citizens present at the polling place local to their residence. Persons not present are either not competent by evidence of their incompetence to attend the vote, or not resident by evidence of their absence at the vote. Preventing the attendance of a citizen at a vote is a crime.
If you want to make this process REALLY easy, poll the militia and volunteer companies when they muster. Nobody else gets to vote..

I wouldn’t say it’s the “real story”, but it’s a legit criticism. Part of the reason a lot of people supported him is they figured he’d be able to throw a hundred million into his campaign if he needed to, without any big money donors. I think he has relied on his free media coverage too much, and I wish he would have peeled off a lot more money to run constant attack ads against Hillary for this final stretch. I live in a battleground state, and I don’t watch TV but every time my girl turns it on it is one anti-Trump attack ad after another.
However, he probably knows what he’s doing. To his credit, he is traveling all over the country doing multiple rallies almost every day while Hillary hides out. Maybe he has information that TV ads are not very effective, and so he’s spending his money doing the rallies instead.
The GOP should be tarred and feathered for not spending their warchest on Trump ads like they would do for any other candidate.

What I liked about this film was the way the Germans maneuvered their opponents into kill zones. Those were really good infantry tactics and text book execution of them too.

Someone on the other thread speculated that the FBI is still firmly in the pocket of the Dems, and what will occur is a formal statement to the effect that these e-mails were all forged by Russia, in an attempt to get Trump elected.
Man, if that’s the case, we truly are a lost nation, worthy of perdition, and immediate at that.
The only hope that this is yet another half-baked CT is that, if they knew all along they were going to pull this stunt and make it stick, all the other nonsense about polls and gropes was never needed.

Watched a movie on TV titled “Sicario” featuring Emily Blunt and Josh Brolin. Opening scene she is leading an armored assault team to bust some drug kingpins. Blows away bad guys and survives massive booby-trap explosion. Some other scenes were plausible enough for an action film (despite her plugging some guys with her 9mil) but then we get then we get endless footage of her making mopey-faces over moral dilemmas. Then a rape fantasy scene. I predicted she would punch some large man and sure enough she punches Brolin in the face after a big underground firefight in which she is shot but her bullet-proof vest protects her. More mopey-face interludes before they wind up the script. Oh yeah, she has a black sidekick throughout the movie who doesn’t ever mack on her.
Now I see adverts for “Girl on a Train” and she is staring out the window with her slack-jawed mopey face. I suspect Hollywood is programming these chicks but maybe they are just responding to market demands.

How can you not love that movie? The black token was ridiculed and put down by all the white protagonist the entire movie, and he never got back at them. And Del Toro’s speech to her in the end was a kill shot to the You Go Girl feels. ” You need to move to a small town where the rule of law still applies. And Brolin telling her point blank he was using her so the CIA could operate domestically. But my favorite: The Delta guys telling her & token to keep their weapons pointed down with their safeties on, and don’t fucking shoot anyone on my team>

As far as I know, the only “battle hardened” soldiers below age 50 in the world fought in Iraq, Afghanistan, or small African conflicts. Most men around the world have no idea what war looks like in a 21st century context… and I’m among them. I must rely on vets I know personally, and most of those are as emotionally distant as my Vietnam-vet father, which should give us civilians clues regarding what’s “normal” these days in war zones.

Don’t usually like to post off topic but I cast my vote for Trump in Florida today, and I felt…clean. And what with the yuuuuge rallies all over the state, the bumper stickers and signs everywhere, the occasional small bar or other business with a Trump message on their sign out front, and even the vocal and sizeable Latinos-for-Trump contingent (which you don’t see in the whored out media, of course), I feel more confident every day that he is going to carry the state, media suppression tactics be damned.

Surprisingly few yard signs, bumper stickers, etc. hereabouts, 1 street full of Billary signs – in a predictable neighborhood – but rather a lot of Gary Johnson signs.
Based on my daily observations, many Trump supporters are afraid of reprisals if they show their support openly – quite unnecessarily, I’ve been wearing a Trump hat for months, no negative vibes except the odd stinkeye from a Hispanic or two – and I think ,lot of local libs are disappointed Bernie peeps who may stay home or vote Johnson or Stein.
Compared to 4 or 8 years ago, very little visible Billary support vs. the forests of signs for Barack Hussein Osama ibn Healthcarefraud.
