I see the left running a pretty desperate campaign to waning effect. The increasingly absurd claims are barely believable even by the most ignorant leftists. Like for example the claim that trump will just launch nukes for some reason upon entering office so vote for hillary if you don’t want arbitrary nukes being launched. or that trump is a puppet of putin, I find that to be very lacking in evidence. or that trump is planning on simply just enriching himself in the public office at the expense of ordinary people, as if hillary hasn’t spent her career doing that. the riots and bullying show pretty well there isn’t really any argument the left has anymore but they won’t give up their power on a democratic basis.

2. They have access to the real polling data and there’s a Trump landslide incoming, so the rats are fleeing the ship. The way the MSM is now suddenly adjusting the fake polling data in Trump’s favor lends credence to this one. Their nerve broke and they’re trying to avoid having the last of their waning credibility wiped out.

You’re off on part of this one, CH. I am a lawyer and y’all know me. There are at least 6 other regulars here who are lawyers.
Scalia was a lawyer. He would have voted for Trump.
There are tens of thousands of conservative lawyers (most white non-skypish males). Part of the reason we are pissed is that we see how wrong the “system” is right now, and how far away it has been (((taken))) from the common law and the real Constitution.
Also, unlike the skypes, we are able to advocate for the general good, even if it means advocating against our own immediate financial self interest. For example, plaintiffs personal injury and product liability law, which is way out of control–too many cases that should be dismissed survive motion to dismiss and summary judgment and lead to nuisance settlements–is, of course, dominated by skypes. And being on the defense side is not enough; we agree that there are simply too many lawyers, too much “law,” too much administrative 4th branch law, too much regulations, too much government. Forty percent of lawyers should be doing something productive like engineering or working on curing cancer–or fixing cars or otherwise using their hands to build or fix things.
And generally, on the issue of Trump vs. the (((globalists))) who own Hillary, we get it. We are able to advocate for our people, even if we are not “working class.”
I have written long comments here, which got through mod, talking about the “skypishness” of the entire practice of law today. Tens of thousands of us white male lawyers are fully aware of it, hate it, and we are among the many lawyers who suffer from depression. It is because we truly understand the law and the way it should be that we are less FINANCIALLY successful than the skype lawyers, who care only about winning and money, and not about truth.

Being a right-of-center law student at a top-tier school made me an oddity a quarter of a century ago. I’d hate to think what it is like now. A good friend of mine is a prominent “right-wing” law professor. The poor fella is as cucked as the next guy, but is considered something of a fascist in his world. Pub, our profession is, indeed, a noble one, but we are fighting a losing battle. Our energy is better spent in renewing society in other ways, and celebrating the occasional minor victory in our profession when it comes.
