I used to work at a large Midwestern school district (facilities management). There was a new school next door to a 6 story apartment building. The local vibrants, some of whose kids attended the school, used to regularly heave dirty diapers at the large chillers at the school. That kind of thing, along with the additional maintenance and extermination costs are another kind of diversity tax.

The chinaman’s endeavour is to overachieve academically at the behest of their tiger moms, obtain a credential, and profit. It doesn’t make them smarter on average. I admire their drive though. It’s also screwed us culturally. I’m convinced the rising number of low-IQ minorities is why pop music has gone from being brilliant in the ’60s to basically tuneless war-like chants today.
If I’m not mistaken, lower IQ means a less-developed pre-frontal cortex, which translates into less empathy. This, IMO, is why we don’t get albums like “Pet Sounds” or hits like “Never My Love” or even “In Between Days” anymore. You have to have some sort of empathy for the human condition to get that kind of music.
There’s also a corporate element to this — fewer record companies and radio stations all owned by the same companies. But I think the audience demographic matters here too. We don’t have a ’60s demographic anymore, so music like that doesn’t get made anymore, at least not in the mainstream.

Interesting you’d bring up the Supremes because I was going to mention Motown. Their motto was “The Sound of Young America,” not “The Sound of Black America.” The fact that Motown (or any record company) was trying to sell to a majority-white audience influenced what they did and, in turn, the fact that the majority demographic held sway influenced the culture at large. When this changed, things went downhill, IMO.

When discussing the ability to process music, the brains ability to process it is very close to its ability to do math. Because music is math. When a dog hears music, all it hears is sounds, but because humans can understand math the changes in beat, tone and sound actually mean something to humans.
An interesting facet of that is that music for and by Blacks is seriously dumber. Most rap has a big loud beat, that may or not be syncopated and the simplest and dumbest lyrics they can cram in there.
Contrast various White people music, there’s a lot more tonal complexity and variation. It’s as if they are making different music specifically for the different processing power of the brain. Styles like various Heavy Metal, Classical and EDM require a lot of processing power of the brain in order for it properly sort the various fast beats, rapid sweeping changes in pitch and multitudenous layers within the song. There’s a massive amount more information to process.
That’s why when the White guys turn on Iron Maiden or Metallica in the weight room, the black guys get visibly agitated. It’s too much information and it overloads their processor.

I’m more on the Fuck Zappa side. Yeah, he was coy and fey in his music, but I don’t think he’d transition to other styles that well.
One thing I’ve found with truly brilliant musicians is their ability to transcend styles and genre. If you listen to more niche styles of Metal, much of it could easily be played as a Wagner or Beethoven Symphony, including the operatic vocals. The structure and complexity is there. If Beethoven and Wagner were composing today, they’d be serious Metal Heads. Similarly with EDM, the truly good artists in that genre compose their songs on piano before putting it to electronic form. Also, Northern Europe dominates both genres, which is where all the greatest Classical composers have originated.

As long as a minority remains below 5% of the total population, all is well.
At 5-10 %, there may be some issues here and there, but nothing major.
Once it climbs above 10 %, you’ve got some big problems on your hands.

Just got home from the gym.

My opinion a bunker is good but I would look to a Motte and Bailey structure with underground shelter and redundant hidden ventilation and hydration systems. I really like the Roman and Byzantine campaign fort design. Look it up in Maurice’s Strategikon. You need dirt to keep radiation off of you. You need to plan for being underground about ten days minimum for modern nuclear attack. The problem will come afterwards when you have survivors wandering around.
I would bust one of those bunkers by pouring dirt down the ventilation shafts or lighting a strong fire over them. Fire is better. We suffocated the Japanese in their caves on Iwo. These will have redundant ventilation shafts and escape tunnels about 100 meters. That is what you have to find. A squad could bust one and smoke out the inhabitants easily. TNT is messy and breaks useful things.

Read up on Medieval Strategic warfare, especially from the 3rd century AD through the 6th centuries. That is the closest scenario. Tunneling will be the most likely threat to such a structure and they can outlast most artillery. Moats on both sides and caltrops, blackberry bushes and poison ivy or think bamboo growing on the berms. Thick brambles etc. Let nature be your concertina. Look up HESCO barriers too. The most difficult languages for native English speakers are Mandarin, Cantonese, Arabic, Korean, et cetera. Top if that list is Japanese, for reasons I won’t bother explaining. The easiest for English speakers on every list I’ve ever seen in always Spanish. Incidentally, English has about twice the number of words as Spanish.
If you consider our most difficult “diverse” additions to the US geography, that means we’re adding people who speak either radically different languages, such as Chinese or Arabic, or radically simpler languages, such as Spanish. Should we wonder that some of these people cannot accomplish mastery of English without substantially assistance?

As somebody who’s had to take both Spanish and Mandarin Chinese in school, Chinese was easier. Hands down the easier language to learn. Few verb tenses, amazingly basic sentence structure that doesn’t change much, and a relatively small group of sounds with simple words. They’ve been paring their language down since 3000BC. It may as well be Newspeak at this point.
It’s the writing system that screws Westerners up, but then, the writing system was deliberately developed to be as hard to learn as possible. The elites in China kept power for thousands of years through standardized tests; if you couldn’t pass the test, you couldn’t hold any government position, and if you couldn’t read, you couldn’t pass the test.
Incidentally, if you can learn Chinese, Japanese isn’t that hard. The inflection is a lot easier and they have a phonetic writing system.
It seems like Spanish speakers are the least likely group to learn English. They have a) lower average IQs than your average Asian, and more importantly, b) no incentives.

In the far past I realized that certain diversity factors pretty much f-ed up technical teams and I don’t hire these tokens anymore. I make due with certain distinct diversity ethnics and when I am forced to hire the team killers I put those snowflakes on a quality team.
The idea that diversity equals tax is a very valid one. My whole career has been a constant fight to keep from paying this tax in my groups. Technology is blessed with a certain expectation of meritocracy and math requirement. So I don’t deal with what other companies probably do.
But Daaamn it a constant “would you a least consider this Diversity U grad” “would you please find a place for this trans snowflake”.
I always reply “if Diversity Snowflake can program an RTOS on RISC CPUs I’ll hire em!” of course the special ones can’t do that… so my teams are saved from another year of Diversity taxation …. er college new hires.

The net loss in residential house values in formerly all White neighborhoods overrun with DIEversity and ever hastening White flight over the last 50 years, has to be in the many billions of dollars. Entire neighborhoods where houses lost 50% or more of their value in only a few short years due to encroaching vibrancy. And those were the old-style, well made homes, in friendly front-porch neighborhoods that were near good schools, cities, churches and places of work. Only the first 20% or so of Whites that move out usually get close to pre-black market value (hence the flight in “White flight”). The other 80% takes losses in various degrees, with the last 50% taking huge losses. Only those with no other options (no money to move) stay, bolt their doors, and hope not to have their throats slit in the middle of the night.
Real estate was part of the American Dream – those were retirement nest eggs for many people or, for those who did not plan on moving, places to retire and then pass on to their children. For many that dream became a nightmare. So the Whites are forced to sell their houses low, and then pay 5x that amount to live even farther away from work in places, in quickly made cheap plastic houses, where neighbors are all strangers and don’t talk to one another, far away from museums, theaters, airports, hospitals, etc.
Yes….diversity is a huge tax, with some costs beyond measurement. What price can you truly place on the theft of cultural heritage and societal unity?

I’m buzzing today. Imigrating here from Western Europe…this is what I expected the US to be….Dow soaring…the country with a swagger, a confidence…the ‘America – Fuck Yeah’ feel. The brash.
Winning WW2, Clint Eastwood, John Wayne… Hanniball smoking a cigar in the A Team when a plan comes together…that’s the US I grew up with living in Western Europe which people admired/envied and wished they lived there.
I think that swagger was lost on 911…seems to be returning back. And those leaving this country ..Western Europe is old, moaney, with leaders who are weak and totally indecisive and uninspiring. With a John Kerry monotone voice.
So enjoy the ride..it may come crashing down..but as Il Duce once said “better to live one day as a lion…”

Another cost of diversity, as a beta schlub with an iq of 130+ having middle managers that are either lesbian or Hispanic females- with average to below average IQs, is my soul is being crushed. Corporate America is highly dysgenic. Every dollar supporting inferior genes, every useless FIRE economy job results in a delay in human progression.

There are also intangible costs and lost opportunities. Forced integration has changed people’s lives and the culture. For example I went to a majority black high school. High school during my parent’s adolescence was all white. I missed out on that white experience. I missed out on white friends I could have had, white girls I could have been involved with. No, diversity is not better at all. It seriously alters white lives for the worse.

The problem is that you can’t really measure those things scientifically, too many variables to control for, it is all part of the pseudo science called sociology. But it goes both ways and it was very dishonest on the side of the scientific community to come with those claims about the greatness of diversity, not because it is true or not, but because it is not even something provable.

I’m late responding to this post because I’ve been offline due to being on a trip to the Philippines…I went to the Miss Universe Pageant while I was there and saw sooo many gay Filipinos at the pageant…and many of them acting like 13 yo girls while supporting Miss Philippines…yelling for her to be selected and screaming wildly when she was selected. The winner, Miss France, touted DIVERSITY (bow 3 times to the god of diversity) in her winning answer DESPITE THE FACT THAT SOOO MANY FRENCHMEN HAVE DIED DUE TO TERROR ATTACKS CAUSED BY diversity.
