I’m buzzing today. Imigrating here from Western Europe…this is what I expected the US to be….Dow soaring…the country with a swagger, a confidence…the ‘America – Fuck Yeah’ feel. The brash.
Winning WW2, Clint Eastwood, John Wayne… Hanniball smoking a cigar in the A Team when a plan comes together…that’s the US I grew up with living in Western Europe which people admired/envied and wished they lived there.I think that swagger was lost on 911…seems to be returning back. And those leaving this country ..Western Europe is old, moaney, with leaders who are weak and totally indecisive and uninspiring. With a John Kerry monotone voice.

By the way, Lichthof is exactly the sort of immigrant America wants — of West European heritage. I’m an advocate of a 60-year immigration moratorium to give the US some breathing room, but when the gates are reopened the welcome mat should be largely restricted to AngloGermanics, with token set asides for immigrants from outside that gene-culture zone.
I’m Greek, studied in the US for 6 years at a top technological institute in an ultra-blue coastal city, and I approve this message.
Even if I would be kicked out of the US, if it meant that Trump’s policies would stop all the “cultural enrichment” from the Barbarian tribes entering my country (and Europe at large), it would be an exchange I would be willing to make.
I was invited here by the US and if they want me out I will have to make my fortune elsewhere. This is simple logic.
(Interesting thought btw. Most Greeks I met in US were against Trump whereas most of them back home were supporting him. Goes to show that if you are experiencing diversity from the wrong side of the fence you are more likely to use common sense in your preference)

I would say, percentage wise, most Greek Americans are to the center-right of the political spectrum. This means that in the US there is an over-representation of Greeks supporting the New Democracy party and (quite possibly) Golden Dawn (not to be confused with president Golden Don ;))
The reason why they (the Greek Americans) have been voting in majority Democratic party in the US elections is because they have been pampered and made to believe that the Democrats are close ideologically to the Center Left Socialist party that was ruling Greece in most of the last 35 years (PASOK).
With the increasing realization of the economical and societal disaster that this party caused in Greece and the new far left government (Syriza) being a monumental disaster more Greeks are coming to the realization that more Nation oriented policies are necessary for social cohesion and for a well functioning state. Hence, it is my expectation that many Greek Americans will support Trump and the more right leaning parties in Greece.

I agree with this post…but I just came across a disturbing Associated Press story titled: “Sexist, Vulgar Posts on Women’s Marches Rebound on Officials.” (Look this story up because posting a link will get me trapped in moderation.)
It’s about men who got fired from their jobs because of their Twitter comments about this past weekend’s march.
In other words, the women being vulgar in public weren’t fired, but the men commenting on them were. Some of the comments the men made were very inoffensive — like posting a picture of a housewife from the 1950s.
This should give you an idea of how much the left controls our institutions. This needs to change. Total double standards here.

This should be the policy for any country, they should set it up as a UN binding decision. A country should sustain the original cultural hegemony of the country and will only allow other groups in up to a certain well defined threshold which will not threaten the hegemony. Otherwise we will all end like Syria with factions fighting each other.
