Plus all other factors: leaning in towards Trump, the mentioned closed legs vs. Trump’s manspreading; even the positions of the left hands look different. The claim is that Flynn was “vulnerable to blackmail” by Russia because he lied to one of his superiors (Pence, I think) about what he discussed with the Russian ambassador. The gravamen of that claim is that Flynn would be so worried about being called out for lying to Pence that the Russians could blackmail him by threatening to release details about what was discussed.
If you take the above as true (it came from the lugenpresse so I have doubts) I don’t think it sends a message that Trump won’t back up his people. Rather, it sends the message that Trump’s people should be honest with him (again, assuming this is even true).
Assuming for the sake of argument that Flynn did discuss sanctions with the Russian ambassador, imagine if Flynn had been honest with Pence and just said “Yeah, we talked about the sanctions that Obama just put on Russia.” I don’t think that’s wrong in and of itself, and then, having been honest, there is nothing the Russians could “blackmail” him with.
The whole thing is a tempest in a teapot, just more kikery. Fuck these people.

Also, what authority does the VP officially have over the NSA? Obviously the President is in charge of his NSA Advisors, but the Constitution grants very little (if any) authority to the VP.

Ivanka and hubby already have demonstrated their influence over Donald, and both already have demonstrated their interest (however tangentially) in wielding power in America. Last I checked nobody elected either one. Hubby also appears groomed for ‘deal making’ in the Middle East, and even worse, for U.S.-backed influence on Israeli/Palestinian issues. Not only do I think he’s unqualified for this role, I know it. Being Donnie’s son in law doesn’t mean shit to me. I don’t like their ‘brand’ of Judaism, where women are encouraged to take ‘larger roles’, meaning you know what. Donald letter her sit on the secular throne, i.e., presidential desk, and that is a clear signal about her influence over him, and that is not good. As you wrote, he is vulnerable towards her on a number of levels, certainly psychologically, and I’d suggest more.
