I am also guessing that the Turkish women in Europe, who tend to be less jihadist, more educated, and more European in their values, will not head the call to have anything over 2-3 children. Now, for those women from Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc., would head that call. ‘Fortunately’ for Europe, the last migration invasion in 2016 contained very few women. Turkey’s military is notionally impressive for a regional power, but is mostly dependent on Western made or designed equipment: they locally produce F-16s under license, a large fleet of +240 but the F-16 is getting long in the tooth. They’re planning to buy export-version German subs with lesser capabilities than the originals; their army is mostly equipped with German Leopard IIs and a sizeable number of obsolescent Leopard Is. They’ve cooked up an impressive-sounding plan of designing and building their own naval vessels, but their new class of littoral combat ships has been stalled, and it’s likely whatever they build will be a downscale version of whatever Western tech they’re buying or purloining.
France and Britain have indeed cut corners so bad that even their nominal strength is thin, and much of that is probably useless. True of Canada, and allegedly true (cough cough) of one floundering superpower whose ships may or may not be rendered dead in the water by Russian EW.
I don’t know if Greece is still in the market for the half-dozen air defense frigates she was shopping for, at doubtless ruinous expense, a few years back; but what she needs is to blow up incoming immivader boats with every gun-mounting dingy available: Europe needs to start shooting damned “refugee” invaders; and if Turkey wants a shooting war over THAT, a NATO determined to do its job would quickly enough make its work out of Turkey.
