The Chateau letterbox received this heartfelt appreciation from a reader and artist named Daniele Vek.
Good morning,
I am an avid reader of your blog Goodbye America and I wanted to extend my thanks to you and your work. I am convinced that it’s impact is much broader and deeper than you can imagine. I wanted to thank you, as I knew one day I would, for a particular entry dated July 26th, 2014, titled “Crosshairs on America“. I was still a very young child during the turbulent early 90’s and witnessed the tension of the Rodney King incident and the subsequent LA riots. Though I was comfortable in my suburban bliss, as a child the horror was not lost on me.
As the years went by incidents of domestic terror and social strain heightened and one such was that of the incident at Ruby Ridge. Although I was familiar with the case and had seen the photograph before, I was not yet prepared for the emotional impact of your accompanying message and the commentary to the posting. It was so stunning that I chose the subject and your message to create a painting, my rendition to the last photograph of Mrs. Weaver. This painting is named “Maeror” roughly translated from Latin to grief or suffering. I only recently started painting, and establishing online presence, when I was approached to have Maeror published in an American art and culture circulation. Something I never, ever expected to happen. I’m still shocked and excited because I’ve only been doing this for the past few days, and may I dare say I am all Squee! on the inside. Enclosed is the image, you can also see it on my site link below. I would like to know if it is okay for me to borrow from your post’s description, in particular the line “An American Pietà” it was that specific phrase that made it click for me and got my gears going.
Thank you again, your observations as small as they may appear are huge. Here I am today beginning a career in art with meaning, with feeling, and maybe one day I will impact someone’s entire life, their future, like you just did. From the bottom of my heart and with deep gratitude thank you and continue what you do. It is imperative.

You’re very welcome, Daniele. The best ‘thank you’ a labor of love can receive is another labor of love.
The Goodbye, America post that so moved her had this commentary (plus photo):

THIS PHOTO is my contribution to the “Goodbye America” series. It’s different than the usual images of degeneracy. Instead, it is a tragic snapshot of what was good and noble.
Look at the photo. Haunting, isn’t it?
It’s a US Marshalls surveillance image of the Weaver ranch ahead of the Ruby Ridge massacre. The woman in the photo is Vicki Weaver, who would later that day be shot through the head by an Asian-American FBI sniper, while standing in a cabin door and holding her and Randy’s baby.
If I understand the timeline of events correctly, Vicki Weaver in this photo is mourning the death of her 14-year old son Sammy, killed by the feds earlier that day. If that’s the case, the photo is an American Pietà.
If I recall correctly, long-time reader PA supplied the commentary and “American Pietà” designation. And yes it is a powerful photo. So powerful, in fact, that our legacy leftoid media has seen fit to memory hole it out of ever existing, fearing as they do its use as a rallying symbol of resistance for Heritage America and their nationalist cause against the dehumanizing forces of Globohomoism. You can damn well bet that if a similar photo had existed that supported, rather than undermined, the reigning anti-White Narrative, the media would have blasted the image nonstop for days, weeks, years, hailed its symbolic awesomeness, and appropriated it for every Leftoid suicideology under the black hole sun.
Here is the painting that Daniele created to honor Vicki Weaver and the embattled culture and nation she represents that have been under attack for decades by a malevolent urban cocktail set all too eager to order their diversity shock troops to pull the trigger on White America.

Maeror
A chillingly beautiful work of art, Daniele. True beauty. Not the postmodern ugliness that inbred elitist degenerates think passes for beautiful art.
I only hope now that this post reaches out across the highways, the fields, the suburban tracts, the small towns, the gentrified hipster playgrounds, the media and technohive boardrooms, the campuses of equalism indoctrination, and the psychologically crippled churches…reaches far into their hearts and beyond to an awakening populace….and ignites something, anything, in our growing cells of dissident resistance to fight and fight with divinely inspired fury, throwing everything we’ve got, our strength and our passion, upon the evil, all-consuming globalism goliath, beating it back to its primordial hellsource and returning our people to their land, and the land to our people.
Our Maeror will become our Spero.
PS Yes, you may borrow anything from the post’s description. I won’t speak for PA, but I’m sure he would agree. We are all conduits for Truth and Beauty here at this humble chateau, and our streams of resistance merge freely into a mighty river drowning the souless insectoid bureaucrats and globalist nation wreckers.

Beautiful.

I’m not trolling and am genuinely curious and would be grateful for anyone who would take the time to respond. I was only 7 years old when Ruby Ridge happened, so it passed me by at the time.
But I’m reading up on it now, and I don’t really see why it’s become this rallying cry among us on the right. He and his family certainly did not deserve to be killed like that, but he was also wanted on firearms charges and he resisted arrest. When all of that BLM stuff was happening, the response around here about someone like Eric Garner was that he was breaking the law and anything that happened to him after that was his fault. What is the difference here?
Seriously, not trolling. I’ve been a reader and a commenter on this site for a few years now.

“It has been pretty well established that Randy and Vicki were loosely affiliated with or sympathetic to the Christian Identity movement, which holds, among other off-center beliefs, that the true descendants of the tribes of Israel are the modern nationalities of Europe, that today’s Jews are impostors, and that Yahweh has fierce punishment planned for sinful America and its Babylonian Occupational Government. Christian Identity believers claim to live by Old Testament laws, to be the true heirs of Israel. Many or most are white separatists. (Unlike white supremacists, separatists say they simply want to live apart from other races, rather than persecuting or subjugating them.)”

Here is a good summary:
“Lon Horiuchi, the FBI sniper who shot Vicki in the head while she was holding a ten-month-old infant, is still being sheltered by the Regime that employed him. If he were any part of a man, Horiuchi would make a pilgrimage to Sara’s home in Montana to express remorse for the crimes he committed against her family.”
“Shortly before he murdered Vicki on August 22, 1992, Horiuchi attempted to murder her husband, Randy Weaver — a man who had done nothing to harm any living soul. Acting under “rules of engagement” that were tantamount to a murder warrant, Horiuchi shot Randy in the back, attempting to kill him instantly by severing his spinal cord.”
“Owing to a last-second motion by Randy, the bullet hit his shoulder and exited his armpit. Randy and a visiting family friend named Kevin Harris fled back to their cabin. Vicki Weaver flung open the door and was shot in the head by Horiuchi. The same round used to murder Vicki ended up wounding Harris.”
“At the time Horiuchi attempted to murder him, Randy was visiting the forlorn outbuilding that sheltered the lifeless body of his only son, 14-year-old Samuel, who had been murdered the previous day by U.S. marshals preparing to ambush the Weaver family. Three of the six camouflaged marshals threw rocks to distract the Weaver family’s dogs. When Samuel and Harris went to investigate, a marshal panicked and shot one of the dogs.”
“After Samuel fired in the direction of the gunshots, Randy told him to return to the cabin.”
“I’m coming, Dad,” shouted Samuel.
“At that point, one of the marshals, in keeping with the standards of valor expected of those who serve the federal Leviathan, shot the 14-year-old in the back.”
“In what a jury later found to be a lawful use of defensive force, Harris returned fire. Deputy Marshal William Degan was killed in the gunfight. The Feds claimed that he was killed in the first shot of the skirmish. This was a lie, of course: He had fired at least seven rounds before stopping one, and it’s likely that he was killed by “friendly fire.”
“For nine days, the daughter Sara had to care for her baby sister, Elishiba, as well as her ten-year-old sister Rachel while the shattered body of her mother decomposed in the family’s cabin. Their home — or “compound,” as it was characterized by the criminals who besieged it, and the media functionaries who retailed their self-serving lies — was surrounded by a small army of federal, state, and local law enforcement personnel.”
“Sara and the other survivors also had to endure the mocking sadism of the FBI agents who had murdered Vicki and Samuel. One morning they were awoken by a taunting message broadcast over a loudspeaker: “Good morning, Mrs. Weaver. We had pancakes for breakfast. What did you have?”
“In what could be seen as a foreshadowing of the holocaust at Waco’s Branch Davidian refuge roughly eight months later, the Feds were apparently prepared to fire-bomb the Weaver home, thereby destroying evidence of their crimes. A news crew from KREM-TV in Spokane saw several large canisters of gasoline being loaded onto an FBI helicopter, which took off and circled the cabin — only to veer off suddenly after being videotaped by observers on the ground.”
“Much to the disappointment of the Feds, the standoff ended without additional bloodshed. Randy Weaver and Kevin Harris were acquitted of murder charges arising from the death of William Degan. Randy was found guilty of failing to appear in court to answer a contrived firearms charge engineered by an ATF provocateur who sought to blackmail the ex-Green Beret into becoming an informant.”
“Although the Weaver family eventually received a large civil settlement courtesy of the federal government’s tax victims, neither Horiuchi nor his supervisors — Larry Potts and Danny Coulson — were never prosecuted. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, invoking a specious concept it called “Supremacy Clause Immunity,” ruled that it would be impermissible for a federal law enforcement officer to face civil or criminal prosecution for official acts that would otherwise be criminal in nature. Judge Alex Kozinski’s scalding dissent lambasted the court for creating what he christened the “007 Standard” — a license to kill that was issued “to all law enforcement agencies in our circuit — federal, state, and local.”
“A few months after issuing that ruling, the court modified it to permit the State of Idaho to prosecute Horiuchi under state laws. Denise Woodbury, an assistant prosecutor from Boundary County, was prepared to put Horiuchi on trial, but the prospect of doing so caused incoming county attorney Brett Benson to lose bladder control. Accordingly, the individual who murdered Vicki Weaver and attempted to murder Randy Weaver remains at large.”
“As the indispensable James Bovard pointed out sixteen years ago, the Marshals Service “gave its highest award for valor” to the five surviving members of the home invasion squad that murdered Samuel Weaver. In presenting the award, then-director Eduardo Gonzalez hymned the praises of the “exceptional courage … sound judgment in the face of attack, and … high degree of professional competence” displayed by the agents whose actions precipitated the needless deaths of three people, and the attempted murder of two others.”
“Prior to the killings at Ruby Ridge, the Marshals Service had spent a year and a half spying on the impoverished, isolated Weaver family. This included multiple acts of criminal trespass and the creation of a network of remote-operated surveillance cameras on the high ground above the family’s land. Weaver was considered a fugitive for missing a court hearing after being issued two summonses giving two different dates. He was to stand trial on firearms charges after being entrapped by the ATF, which sought to blackmail him into becoming a federal informant inside the Aryan Nation white supremacist organization.”
“Weaver’s first encounter with the Feds came in July 1985, when he was visited by the Secret Service after a neighbor accused him of threatening the life of President Reagan. Rather than filing charges against Weaver, the Feds opened a file on him. Four years later, an ATF undercover informant-provocateur named Gus Magisano (who used the pseudonym “Kenneth Faderly”) made a business proposal to Weaver: He offered to buy several shotguns from him if the barrels were sawed off to his specifications.”
AWM:
Weaver’s “sawed off case” was thrown out because he offered to cut it to 18.25 for free (included in the $100 price of the gun), but the BATF agent offered 5K extra if he would cut it to 17.75″ The judge considered that to be entrapment and tossed the case. Which is why the BATF was “out to get him” later, because he made them look like fools in the courtroom.
“With his family practically starving, Weaver was a motivated seller. His customer was an eager buyer — but he was also curiously specific regarding the modifications he wanted on the guns, demanding that Weaver saw off the barrels at a particular length. Those “illegal” alterations — which left the barrels longer than those on the sixty Remington 870 pump-action shotguns ordered by the IRS a few years ago — offered the ATF what it thought was sufficient leverage to blackmail Weaver.”
“In January 1990, Weaver was visited by ATF Agents Herbert Byerly and Steve Gunderson, who threatened to prosecute him unless he became an informant. To his eternal credit, Weaver invited them to inseminate themselves. Since defiance of that kind simply couldn’t be tolerated, the ATF, acting with the U.S. Marshals Service and several state and local agencies, initiated the low-intensity war against the Weaver family that eventually claimed the lives of Vicki and Samuel.”
“Salt Lake attorney Jesse Trentadue explains that the federal jihad against the Weavers was an outgrowth of an FBI initiative called PATCON, or “Patriot Conspiracy.” The campaign was designed “to infiltrate and incite the milita and evangelical Christians to violence so that the Department of Justice could crush them.”
“Ruby Ridge was a PATCON operation,” Trentadue observes. “Waco was a PATCON operation. And so, too, I believe was the Oklahoma City Bombing.”
http://www.911truth.org/ruby-ridge-the-age-of-state-terrorism-begins/
This was obviously entrapment of Randy Weaver for the sake of using him as an informant against the Aryan Nations. If a peaceful resolution had been wanted, the county Sheriff knew Weaver and could have resolved it with little problem. It was a missed court date. The first court date sent had the WRONG date. At that point Weaver was only “guilty” of missing a court date. He was not guilty of selling a “sawed off shotgun” because in America you’re innocent until proven guilty. So, the FBI, BAT, and the Clinton administration sent the overwhelming force of the federal government against someone who was not guilty. Does this help you see the evil we are facing?

Horiuchi, of Japanese descent, is a graduate of West Point, class of 1978 (about the same time that women were first admitted as cadets) That his classmates, or the WP Association of Graduates for that matter, haven’t disavowed him is a disgrace to the U.S. Military Academy. In olden times a WP class would have “silenced” one of ts own for such an egregious act.
There is also evidence that Horiuchi was present at Waco after the FBI took over Operation Show Time from the DEA.
In a just society Horiuchi would have been tried and convicted for murder, and Clinton and Reno would have at the very least been impeached for the massacre of 80 some odd people, including 28 children, using U.S. Army tanks and ordnance from Fort Hood, Texas.

It’s even worse: Weaver is a white separatist, not supremacist, and he and the Aryan people who the Feds demanded he infiltrate knew and loathed each other. That is, they were demanding a likely suicide mission, and using Soviet Union methods to coerce Weaver into doing it.

This is a disjointed statement. His family WAS killed. He was also entrapped – he had resisted selling the Fed undercover agent anything. The Fed entrapped him. Do you know what this is, and how easily any of us could be so entrapped?
Did you know that the Feds could have easily starved them out, instead of executing a family?
The fact that you aren’t automatically triggered by this case is a sad example of how human psychology has been warped by the last few decades of cultural Marxist brainwashing.

You don’t understand Asians. For Asians, there is no good or bad. There is only authority (or lack of authority). 99% of Asians are robotic. They follow orders from their superiors. Period. No questions asked.
So when Horiuchi gets orders from a Higher Authority (it could the FBI or the Emperor or a Saudi prince or any rich/powerful man), he follows the orders.
“Shoot a woman? No problem, sir”.
Must. Obey. Orders. (*Asian mind speaking in robotic voice*)
A white man (and I daresay some black men) would question the orders.
Here’s Timmy McVeigh:
The administration has said that Iraq has no right to stockpile chemical or biological weapons (“weapons of mass destruction”) — mainly because they have used them in the past.
Well, if that’s the standard by which these matters are decided, then the U.S. is the nation that set the precedent. The U.S. has stockpiled these same weapons (and more) for over 40 years. The U.S. claims this was done for deterrent purposes during its “Cold War” with the Soviet Union. Why, then, it is invalid for Iraq to claim the same reason (deterrence) with respect to Iraq’s (real) war with, and the continued threat of, its neighbor Iran?
The administration claims that Iraq has used these weapons in the past. We’ve all seen the pictures that show a Kurdish woman and child frozen in death from the use of chemical weapons. But, have you ever seen those pictures juxtaposed next to pictures from Hiroshima or Nagasaki?
I suggest that one study the histories of World War I, World War II and other “regional conflicts” that the U.S. has been involved in to familiarize themselves with the use of “weapons of mass destruction.”
Remember Dresden? How about Hanoi? Tripoli? Baghdad? What about the big ones — Hiroshima and Nagasaki? (At these two locations, the U.S. killed at least 150,000 non-combatants — mostly women and children — in the blink of an eye. Thousands more took hours, days, weeks or months to die).
If Saddam is such a demon, and people are calling for war crimes charges and trials against him and his nation, why do we not hear the same cry for blood directed at those responsible for even greater amounts of “mass destruction” — like those responsible and involved in dropping bombs on the cities mentioned above?
The truth is, the U.S. has set the standard when it comes to the stockpiling and use of weapons of mass destruction.

Just had a thought: The Alt-Right, a new and significant political movement upon which many would look for social guidance on our current dilemma, needs new symbols. Let’s face it: They work. They sure worked okay for the Nazis: Hitler was a dictator/artist whose forte was design, including theatrical design and graphic design. Those twin runic lightning bolts, white against black, of the SS still inspire fear!

In case you haven’t noticed… whites are becoming a smaller percentage of the populace on a daily basis, and there’s not one thing you and your white supremacist friends can do about that. You’re fighting a losing battle. Don’t be surprised when the folks you hate on turn against you when they have the upper hand.
How can a person hate their race this much?

Cities are dysfunctional. They need gob loads of poor people and smart young people working for peanuts(Go forth Sally and get a glamorous career start, ie being underpaid and overworked.) While only benefitting the very very rich. If you ain’t very very rich city life sucks. But the city needs cheap meat to run. Problem for the cities is young smart whites are realizing the scam and not moving in as young adults or bolting early if they already made that mistake. Hence the sanctuary at any price talk.

Another person who went blue pill was techno-thriller author Tom Clancy. In his main “Jack Ryan” series of works, after Ruby Ridge and Waco it was clear he’d created an alternate universe that included a good and competent FBI. Even worse, in one of his books he lionized their “Hostage” Rescue Team.
In response he doubled down in his 1996 Executive Orders, which featured a stereotyped clueless white militia group attempting to arrange an Oklahoma City scale bombing (that happened a year before, and Clinton milked it for reelection) during one of the worse crisis in American history, a bio-warfare attack that required severe quarantine measures shortly following an unrelated attack with a 747 that decapitated most of the national leadership.

Excellent post…
I grew up just down the road from Ruby Ridge. We moved there from Santa Monica, CA when I was 5, only a few months before the incident happened.
I remember vividly, even at that young age, completely 100% understanding Weaver as the bad guy, which strongly illustrates the media narrative at the time.
If anyone is interested there is an Extremely good book about Ruby Ridge by a gentleman named Jess Walters who wrote about it for the Spokesman Review (the nearest newspaper of note). It is evenhanded and accurate and as a result very sympathetic to the Weavers.
Some other commenters have said the same things, but basically the situation was this:
The Weavers were an Iowa family that moved to Naples/Ruby Ridge in the 80’s and were very ‘quirky’, being into Christian Identity and hardcore old testament ‘Yahwehism’. They were also basically conspiracy theory nerds (they even subscribed to periodicals on aliens, etc). They lived off the grid in a totally self-sufficient manner. Randy worked at a sawmill if I remember right but also ran for Sherriff and was a generally well-liked individual around town.
After attending an Aryan Nations 4th of July party in Athol/Spirit Lake at the infamous ‘Aryan Nations Compound’, the ATF sought to (it seems clear to me) entrap him. A PAID informant who got paid extra for ‘turning’ people either convinced Weaver to sell him a sawed off shotgun or LIED about doing so depending on who you believe.
The Boundary Courthouse accidentally gave Randy the wrong court date. By this time the federal law enforcement guys were involved and things escalated, Randy refused to come down off the mountain, and the feds sent men up there in camouflage to ‘surveil’ him. They were sniffed out by his dog, they then shot the dog, Sammy Weaver Randy and Vicky’s 14 year old son shot at them (or at least raised his gun, he also didn’t know who they were though). Sammy turned around and was shot in the back running away. Soon after Vicky was shot in the forehead while holding Elisheba their newborn in the doorway of the home..
All surviving Weavers were ultimately awarded damages by the court, and I believe* Gerry Spence was the lawyer who helped them.
I believe the entire incident was highly symbolic of the shift that took place in the early 90’s when the nutjob-left Baby-Boomers fully took control of society. In a nutshell, a far-left self-absorbed Baby-Boomer President (Bill Clinton) catalyzed the murder of relatively* normal white families at both Ruby Ridge and Waco. The victims in both incidences have been mischaracterized and demonized by the left-wing Baby-Boomer press ever since.
Thankfully the tide is beginning to shift in my opinion though 🙂
Also for interest sake I have hiked up to Ruby Ridge both by myself, with friends, and leading some visitors to the town up there who requested me to do so. The top half of the cabin is gone. it is amazing how rural it is up there, and how high in elevation. You can look out and see mountain tops in all directions. It is only accessible by snowmobile or horse or 4 wheeler, right up a mountainside literally.

That would take some doing, since the shooting at Ruby Ridge happened in August of 1992, a couple of months before the election. This was “Reagan and Bush’s FBI” as noted by many at the time. For that matter, whatever he and his people were ordering from above after the BATF’s raid, it was the same “Reagan and Bush FBI” that slaughtered the survivors, Clinton had only been in office for 3 months when it ended. Even Janet Reno was confirmed a couple of weeks after the BATF raid, due to Clinton’s two previous picks have illegal alien nanny employment issues, back in a time when the Democrats pretended to still care.
Your note on the remoteness of the Weaver’s property at Ruby Ridge, though, is very relevant, one thing this told us is that there was be no place in the country, if not the world, we could escape to where the Feds would leave us alone.

Hey Lina thank you for noticing that and pointing it out I appreciate it. I was actually going to say the same thing in a book I am working on and that would have been a big error lol. I’ll probably still try to tie the two together but as dualy symbolic rather than cause and effect.
Much thanks 🙂

I was just a kid at the time, but in America, and even in my own household, Ruby Ridge, Waco, and Oklahoma City represented a turning point. That turning point was where the faith of heritage Americans, and of my old stock Canadian relatives, in government and The System was officially dead.
While as of the early 1990s the assault against us had been well underway for decades, it was by this point that effects of this campaign were visceral and not up for debate. Decades of open borders had made third worlders an unavoidable fact of life in our cities. 12 years of Reagan-Bush yielded only broken promises of “read my lips, no new taxes”, amnesty, and regulations. Degeneracy was being bulldozed on us with “Friends” and the “first homosexual kiss on television” (the Ellen Degenerate show). Welfare, urban decay, crime, job losses, and the mainstreaming of rap and black drug culture had taken its toll. And to cap it all off, the election of an open pervert and sexual deviant by the name of William Jefferson Clinton (albeit with a slim plurality of votes owing to the Ross Perot candidacy, which was, in part, a heritage reaction to mounting degeneracy), decorated with innocuous baby boomer dad jeans, sneakers, and a Strong Empowered Modern Wife.
Americans naturally responded to this growing mess, but the only option they had was Newt Gingrich and the Contract with America in 1994. What did that get us? Some cutting of muh taxes but mostly globalist trade deals and hypocritical attacks on Rapin’ Bill for the viewers at home.
Make no mistake, the bullet fired at Vicki Weaver was a bullet fired at all of Heritage America and the baby you’re cradling in your arms today.
God willing, President Trump knows the score (he does) and will return the country to its rightful owners.
God bless.

And Trump’s beginning to look like he’s the same thing as Reagan-Bush. No different. Trump will be cutting of muh taxes but mostly globalist trade deals and criminals in all cities. He couldn’t manage a muslim travel ban (which was only a temporary ban!) Open borders remain open. Rap is still played on MTV.

Not quite that bad, Reagan saved the economy, ask someone you know who’s old enough to remember the 1970s and especially Jimmy Carter’s administration, and while Bush didn’t like it one bit, ended the Evil Empire of the Soviet Union, and much more peacefully than anyone had predicted. But Reagan’s amnesty replaced the USSR as an existential threat with its amping up of the effects of the 1965 Immigration Act, and his forced choice of Bush as his VP undid almost everything else he’d accomplished and of course allowed Clinton to win in 1996.

I’ve always been vaguely aware of the event but not he details, and reading and considering it now as a husband and father roughly the same age as Weaver brings it home for me in a way that wouldn’t have been the case years ago anyway.

The “American Pieta” was standing on the other side of a closed door, out of sight of the sniper when he took the shot at the (admittedly fleeing) Kevin Harris. Yeah, it’s bad, but he didn’t deliberately murder an unarmed woman holding a baby.
I’m not trying to minimize the evil of what the government did that day; I just want you gents to be aware of what happened so the shitlibs can’t spring it on you unawares.

The open door (had to be open for Harris to run behind it into the opening it made) had a big window in it, in Horiuchi’s after action report, filled out a day or so after, he drew a picture of the door with her outline in the window making it clear he knew she was there before he fired. The only thing that could possibly make it not murder is that he had to time the shot so that after exiting her skull it would hit Harris running indoors behind her. And it would still be felony murder because there was no legal justification for shooting Harris and Weaver.
Do you really think it’s accidental that within one hour of setting up he’d shot all three of the adults, leaving the men with wounds that would have killed them without eventually getting medical care?

The massacre at Ruby Ridge could have been avoided if Mr Weaver had chosen better friends, if he’d kept his mouth shut, and if he’d shown up to his court date – but whatever mistakes the man made, none of them justify the murder of him and his family.
