Public healthcare does not mean the government runs the healthcare system. That’s a bs talking point put out by insurance companies to keep on charging you more money.
The quality of a country’s healthcare system is related to the quality of the educational system primarily. If you have a good educational system, then you are going to have good doctors and nurses, and top notch research, and good quality services. Simple as that.
What the government does do, is remove insurance companies from the administration of payments to the health care system. So, instead of paying your premium to a for-profit insurance company (which does not have your best interest at heart, at all), you pay it to the government, and they will pay it to the doctors and hospitals.
Of course, if one has enough money to pay for health care out of one’s pocket, then that’s the best, but hardly anybody is able to do that.

here in Canada health care is almost free but we often get bad service, for many types of tests or surgery there is an 18 to 24 month waiting time, you can die before you ever get tested.

I grew up with it, I know what it actually looks like in the everyday, boots-on-the-ground real life of the average person.
The costs – either in premiums or in taxes – are H U G E – the access to actual doctors is sporadic or very limited, most of the ones you see are ‘nurse practitioners’ or similar clueless charlatans, the waiting rooms are jammed 24/7/365 because the system encourages people to run to the ‘doctor’ (see above) for literally every. little. sh1t. , the quality of care decreases exponentially to the MASSIVE rise in bureaucracy.
Extensive socialized health care is one of the reasons why Europe is importing the Sultan’s invasi0n @rmy.

Recently I had to get massage therapy for old scar tissue, why because I’m a man. The older therapist is friendly and we enjoyed friendly banter, eventually she asks me what I think of the president. I understand the point here, but want to be clear about something: This NEVER ends. There is a phrase I coined on the RVF. “Men grow up; women grow old” (someone used it for a ROK article, but my post predates it.)
The reason this is important is that a lot of men meet women like this years later and think “She’s changed! She made her mistakes and learned her lesson!” She hasn’t changed.
At 20 she was courting terrorist bad boys. At 35 she’ll be creating havoc in the office screwing every married guy. At 50, she’ll be bringing gift baskets to inmates at the local prison.
The point is, some women just love the drama. They don’t create societies, so this is what they do. Years ago, men and women knew this (i.e. your grandparents knew this), and tried to save younger women from being this way. But we don’t do that anymore. Without the responsibility of a baby and husband early on, these women create an alternate narrative arc for their lives. They substitute outside drama for the drama that making a home used to bring.
Wonder if anyone stopped to think “Instead of being thrashed by a foreign ‘alkie,’ why is she not on the road to marriage/motherhood?” (Finally, what idiot uses the word ‘alkie’ anymore? That was out of style in the grunge era.)

here in Canada health care is almost free but we often get bad service, for many types of tests or surgery there is an 18 to 24 month waiting time, you can die before you ever get tested.
There are advantages but there are also things that are very wrong with free health care.
A wealthy country, say any with per capita GDP above 25k USD, can easily pay free healthcare for all without those queues even for surgery.
Problem is if you start adding low IQ people to the population, who demand heavily from social services and also healthcare because their lifestyles are health-destroying
I ‘d say the 18-24 months queue is sort of the cost of diversity for Canada. White Canada would not have that
