Greg, if only you knew how accurate that description is (perhaps you do? Are you in the medical field?) I’m in the medical field and used to work at a major urban trauma center. Tijuana is about right. The only difference is that for now, medical equipment is still of considerably higher quality than in Tijuana, I would imagine. Population-wise, however, it definitely seems to be a particularly dystopian scenario. All on our dime.

Republicans need to legislate against cheating in college so conservatives could become more academically competitive. Even just reducing the drinking age to 18 would make us less socially awkward than leftists who ignore the laws to get into the most well connected social clubs. Instead they just keep appealing to the general public and losing.

Yesterday, for example, after many, many trips with carriers like Air Algerie, Turkish Airlines, EgyptAir, Jordanian, and other such luminaries, I flew with British Airways. My god, I can’t describe the calming, familiar, and reassuring feeling of being with your own people. When they call immigrants, “aliens”, gosh, that ain’t that far off the mark. These people, and their garbage bags for clothes, odours, grunts, uncivilized behaviour, and bizarre rituals and food might as well be aliens for we have nothing, zero, in common with them. Contrast that to when my seatmate with an Essex accent offers me her copy of the Daily Mail, and a friendly flight attendant cracks a joke and we can both laugh because we have the same frame of reference on, pretty much, the world. My family left Britain 200+ years ago but I will have far more in common with an Englishman from across the pond than an Arab born and raised in Canada, any day if the week.
Bottom line: humans are most comfortable when with their own tribe. In fact, it’s natural and normal. Diversity is unnatural and bewildering to the mind. Diversity is chaos.

When I was a tyke, they didn’t put young attractive women over high school kids, nor did they do so with men. All these women would have been home pregnant or at worst, teaching elementary school.

Sounds like my high school too. There were rumors that the track coach was tapping some 17 year olds but it never went anywhere and they were willing if they did because most of the girls thought he was hot. These modern ladies did not exist in my world then because even less would have been done. 35 was about the youngest.

Before WW2, MOST teachers in American high schools, French lycées and British grammar schools were male. Young male teachers and fat, hairy, middle aged male teachers. Some were mean, cruel, vicious. Teens were TERRIFIED of their teachers.
