Trump’s 2020 Reelection Is Not A Given

January 24, 2018 by CH

I’m not a black piller by any stretch, but it’s useful to read smart, iconoclastic black pill takes on Trump’s presidency to date, by people who have an affinity for Trumpism. Too much optimism or cheerleading can trap one into a dangerous complacency.

Complacency can lead to terrible outcomes like this one described by Butch Deadlift:

It’s not clear that the GOPe really minds a Dem wave in 2018.

They can win by losing, blame Trump-ism, claim it was tested and found to be unpopular, and that we need a Rubio-like candidate to win. Create ambiguity.

Meanwhile the Demographic clock is ticking.

Trump-ism needed a smart strategy to avoid this fate, doesn’t seem forthcoming.

Too much blind faith in Trump risks election losses that feed Uniparty delusions and will mean the next Trump, if he comes, won’t just chip away at the status quo. He’ll swing a sledgehammer.

So a little black pill every now and then helps unclog egoistic gunk. Just don’t get addicted to the pessimistic thrill. Not all black pills are created equal. Mendo had the best take on Black Pill taxonomy:

There are “the sky is falling” black pills and then there are “let me question some things” black pills.

Then again there are “ain’t I a-stinker” black pills, some of whom just love to post dour shit.

On the topic of reasonable skeptic black pills, Agnostic has been a good source (until recently…he too seems to have succumbed to the siren call of black pill overdosing). For instance, I don’t endorse this latest Agnostic thesis (too glib with the historical comparisons), but it’s interesting nonetheless: Is Trump the new Carter, and Bernie the next Reagan?

The triumph of the pure examples of the new zeitgeist will come as vindication to candidates who had previously run in their party’s primary (and when it was incumbent) but lost to a business-as-usual candidate. Reagan ran in the ’76 primary but lost to conventional Ford, and Bernie ran in the ’16 primary but lost to conventional Hillary. They were both just a little bit ahead of their time.

Why doesn’t the natural party for the new zeitgeist go with it right away? Probably because a major change is more likely to come from a party that is more desperate for a win, especially its voters. They’re more willing to take a high-risk high-reward gamble — Democrats on Carter in ’76, and Republicans on Trump in ’16. After being jolted awake from their laurel-resting complacency by these shock victories, the more natural party learns which way the winds are clearly blowing, and takes over its comparative advantage issue.

[…]

Like Carter — or at least, Carter’s administration — Trump, or at least his administration, will probably be remembered as one of the worst due to the schizophrenia, paralysis, and general malaise that comes during the necessary initial shifting of gears during re-alignment. Neither will get credit from the general public for giving the first push in the new direction, although historians will point that out.

Agnostic analyzes elections from a traditional economics angle. Who votes for whom is based entirely on personal economic well-being. The problem with this analytical premise is that it can miss big paradigmatic shifts in electorate behavior.

Polls and quadrennial elections are largely unaffected by slow demographic change, and therefore can be successfully analyzed from a purely “economic self-interest” angle even as demography (aka racial electoral power) churns the electorate from underneath. But eventually demographic tsunamis smash the old algorithms to smithereens. What worth is the White working class vote when Whites are a minority and US politics has descended into a third world theater of tribal gibs-jockeying?

Will Bernie win in 2020? The possibility is not remote, and Trump supporters should act now to prevent the election of a soft-headed commie with a love for open borders and Diversity that he got far away from when he moved to Vermont.

Bernie will be 79 by 2020, but I’ve no doubt that Trump fears a Bernie candidacy more than any other opponent. Trump has internals; he must know that Bernie eats into Trump’s White working class base like no other Dem. Thecunt won’t be around then to steal the nom from exotic sports car-driving Bernie. (she’ll be in jail)

All of which is to say, if Trump wants a second term, he had better get back to fulfilling his populist campaign promises instead of gloating over a tax cut and a roaring (for now) stock market. The afterglow of these old school conservative GOP initiatives has left Trump’s base muttering “meh”.

The reason a booming stock market (or for that matter a booming economy) doesn’t galvanize Trump’s support beyond his base to include independents and party-switching Dems is because the US has bifurcated into a dual economy. Forty years of stagnant wages and insane housing costs should have been a wake up call to CoC Congressional Republicans.

This is where Bernie, or a Bernie clone, can chip away at Trump’s support and win in 2020.

Bernie’s actual policy proposals are dumb as shit commie prescriptions like “free education for everyone”, but he talks a storm about fat cats and corporate malfeasance, and does so with apparent sincerity, so that alone will call back those White gaymulatto-voting Dems from their flirtation with Trump.

The risk of a Bernie-populist Dem winning in 2020 is that it’s a devil’s bargain that could sufficiently dupe the White working class into switching over from Trump and not realizing that the torn-up trade deals, tariffs, antitrust, and higher taxes on the wealthy come included with a poison pill: open borders and amnesty.

The counter to this scenario is that it’s a new era of White wokeness, and the White working class won’t nominate a populist from either party who wasn’t loudly opposed to mass shitholie immigration. Bernie would have to do a 180 — or rather a 360, back to the views he had before the BernieBro era — on immigration and borders to reinvigorate his chances in 2020.

Addendum: Take Agnostic’s black pilling with a dash of salt. As with all aggro-contrarians of Agnostic’s strand (hi pman!), you take the insight with the petulant refusal to vacate dead end lines of thought. (His “conservatives are cat people, liberals are dog people” was his most inane theory to date, and perfectly illustrates how try-hard he is about bucking conventional wisdom.) Agnostic is deep in his own kool-aid when he isn’t even giving a perfunctory nod to the obvious shitlib fanfiction that is Wolff’s book. FFS some of (((Wolff’s))) passages read like blue tickmark Twatter timelines of deranged conspiratorial celebs. All Agnostic has to do is listen to recent gloats by Wolff that he wished his book would “take down President Trump” to know that most of the book’s content is low grade lib wish fulfillment.

(Why Trump let that slimy reptile anywhere near the White House is a mystery for the ages. One look at Wolff’s liver-lipped physiognomy is enough to convince anyone with working vision to keep him at a million arms’ length.)

***

There’s plenty of time before the 2020 election, so here’s a ray of hope for shitlibs on the brink of a mental breakdown from all of Trump’s winning:

One way to guarantee a win, mass deportation and voter ID

Let’s be realistic here, the ONLY reason the dems win at anything is illegal votes. Deport them at gun point, and Republicans will win every election for the next 200 years.

There can’t be a republican primary in 2020 right? Trump is the incumbent?

Trump has to have the wall and immigration reform to win. A lot of dems I know secretly want the hordes of mexicans to get the fuck out. They have to keep quiet about it because it’s been deemed racism.

He also has to be tough on trade with china and h1b abuses. Again, a lot of dems secretly want their jobs protected.

He needs to play comfort game with libs and independents. Stop with the unprofessional sounding tweets and bashing foreign leaders. At least in public sound more like a traditional politician. That will get more of the blue city girls to drop their panties.

HW bush lost since his vote was split with Ross Perot.

Ironically, his son won in 2000 because of Gore having his vote split.

The crucial thing is that HW Bush was the very last Republican to win California, and that was all the way back in 1988.

The true black pill : Trump’s reelection even with all promises kept (and then some) will not change the trajectory of white America.

[CH: not necessarily so. If we get the wall, end of chain migration, and e-verify, we will have effectively stopped mass turd world immigration and caused most of the illegals already here to self-deport because they can’t find work. that might be enough to boost the White % of the total US population back over 70%.]

      Wrong.

      [CH: so certain r u?]

Even if tomorrow all illegals were deported and immigration was cut to zero, whites will still become a minority in the long-term based on birth rates.

[fertility rate extrapolation is a risky business.]

Whites are already a minority for children 5 and under.

[some of those nonwhite kids will go back with their deported parents. try thinking big picture. a country of fewer third worlders means more living space and good schools for whites, which means more motivation to have kids. don’t assume white fertility will remain low forever. feedback loops matter.]

Yeah unless you’re anticipating an extraordinary event where tens of millions of non-whites (who are citizens) leave and the white birth rate explodes, it’s simply not in the cards.

Here are the realistic scenarios :

        White pill:

The US breaks apart into multiple states with one of those being a white entho state.

        Black pill :

The US transforms into Brazil. The 40% white population lives in gated communities with arm guards while the majority of the country (brown /blacks) live in slums in a constant state of desperation. There is mass poverty outside the gates and violent crime is ubiquitous.

        The Blackest pill:

The US becomes South Africa where whites are pushed into ghettos slowly being extinguished by the ruling black/Browns class

I regret that I’m also unconvinced by hopeful expectations that the trend is going to change “any day soon.” Look around. Have you seen ANY change in young women’s attitudes that might have suddenly convinced them to leave the carousel-riding go-grrl party-girl career-girl lifestyle?

The only thing I’m observing is the skyrocketing preference for furbabies, mankind’s most successful brood-parasite, as well as more frequent out-and-proud “childless-by-choice” among young women. Add to this the marked trend of gender-queer, non-binary FTMutilittantes (think mutilated dilettantes), and we have a recipe for an accelerating decline rather than one that is anywhere near reversing. I look around my own pozzed left-coast moloch and I see bearded “ladies?” of indeterminate gender everywhere now. Several times a day.

My money is that shithole mothers & anchor babies are significantly dragging up numbers that would be even scarier if we dared to look more closely.

We ban abortion, cause God says killing babies is wrong. We ban hormone birth control cause it is bad for women and bad for the environment. Zyklon white women start having babies in their early 20’s. We kick a lot of people out and soft deport the rest. If brownies weren’t propped up as holier than all they’d probably self deport because feelz, feeling ugly compared to attractive white women.

Killary lost in part because blaks stayed home and weren’t motivated to vote for her. Conversely, Obummer won with the help of high blak turnout.

A Hillary clone like Elizabeth “Fauxcohontas” Warren or another White Establishment Femocrat will guarantee blaks sit at home and drink grape soda in 2020, thereby helping the G-d Emperor secure a glorious second term.

People are kidding themselves if they think we can fix this by just removing minorities. Birth rates will be our undoing. Good birth rates is not something that just “happens” by a good economy, although that can help a little. So long as we have our current culture and current laws we will continue to experience drops in birth rates in the same vein as every western nation, Russia, and Japan.

The alt-right has forgotten about the critiques by the manosphere and other dissident right sects. It’s been so focused on race – so obsessed with an idealized white land – that it has forgotten the other aspects of the equation that make a nation sustainable.

The key here is “current”, there needs to be a lot of changes to fix everything. Less women in the work place (repeal all the “discrimination” laws). Girls need to get knocked up at 18 years old. Baby subsidies, more home-ec classes in high school, arranged marriages etc. More importantly people need to stop fearing children and getting knocked up.

Donald Trump is a great culture model, he has FIVE gorgeous kids, he even had one at 62. That is America’s culture right now.

This site has the best commentary about the culture but is fairly n00b when it comes to politics.

When Trump, undefeated going on three years now, loses a single — one — political fight, then maybe you might think about asking your doctor about prescribing you black pill.

His rare missteps are reframed into wins, he is at least three steps ahead of his Wile E. Coyote opponents (on left and right), and his enemies have an unbroken record of hoisting themselves on their own petards: Seventeen GOP cucks, Obama, both Bush and Clinton dynasties, the cuck establishment, the media, the NFL, and now, mirabile dictu, the FB effing I.

The best case for occasional low-dose black-pill ingestion (rather than the regularity of the hysterical nag Ann Coulter) is to warn against complacency, as CH does above.

But nine times out of ten, the Will to Despair is the mark of the old loser, someone so beaten down by failures that the possibility of victory becomes chimerical in their minds by long experience. And they don’t understand the self-reinforcing loser syndrome at play, where the constant visualization of defeat creates half its reality before the fight even begins. It is cowardice hiding as vigilance, and it drives me up a wall.

Trump brought to the political realm what this community should have already “picked up” from the social realm: to have a strong disinclination for hanging around incorrigibly cynical LOSERS for fear of catching their stink by association.

Finally, along the lines of eternal loser syndrome is the inability to recognize victory when it happens.

Reagan was the first to teach the cucks that “Eighty percent of a loaf is better than 0%.”

Trump is changing not just politics, but the culture of the entire western world, at a pace that beggars belief. And still naysayers will nitpick that he hasn’t fulfilled each of the 438 bullet points on the White Nationalist wish list 48 hours after inauguration.

Again, that is the mark of the loser who doesn’t understand all of the long-term groundwork that must precede every seemingly effortless victory.

They felt SAFE when they didn’t have the votes to do Jack Shit. They could peddle promises and not do anything and say “WE DON’T HAVE THE VOTES”.

My least favorite part of the tax overhaul is the doubling of the child tax credit, especially considering over half of children are born to unwed mothers these days. Combined with the EITC, single moms make a fortune on tax day. They are highly rewarded for their poor decisions and the doubling of the child tax credit will make this all the more obscene. Note is was none other than Marco Rubio who insisted the child tax credits are doubled. Now that John McCain is dying Rubio is the worst Republican in the Senate.

“Why Trump let that slimy reptile anywhere near the White House is a mystery for the ages”

Unfortunately, a black pill here: Trump cut his teeth by playing the press to get his name in legacy media headlines, and he will never change.

This isn’t 1986 Trump where getting your name in a major news headline is a win. This is 2017 President Trump, where news headlines about you are not only a given, they are a necessity. Trump doesn’t need the press anymore. They need HIM.

Why does he think there is something to be gained by talking to NYTimes or any liberal outlet? It’s a joke. He missed a major chance to give independent journalists the lead, shake up the old media guard. So why is he still giving exclusives to Maggie Haberman?

Why do we even still need journalists? He could just do video Q&A through his twitter to anyone who asks a question neutrally and respectfully.

You kill their access, and you kill their prestige. 1st Amendment? They can talk all they want, put any propaganda on their channels and pages that they want. But they don’t have a right to talk to a member of the West Wing any more than you or I do.

Carter became a sensation in ’75-’76 in part because he was so strange. I read once in a campaign tell-all that–SUPPOSEDLY– Jimmy Carter in Iowa once walked into some woman’s house where she had a fucking harpsichord, sat down, and began to play– presumably Baroque keyboard compositions, but the story is so bizarre it sounds like something slate would’ve fabled about Chinito Mulattonini.

Yes, Carter was a “rock star”– his smile was said to light up a television studio. But these were Dems who learned to hate LBJ and then suffered two Nixon victories. Plus they thought they’d lost the South for good– now here’s a Dixie Democrat singing a kumbaya tune, not terribly old, and highly moralistic at a point where everyone felt “lied to” by all the Imperial Presidents.

But Carter’s only successes in office were Camp David (a hard weekend’s diplomacy, give him that) and the Panama Canal Treaty (inoffensive, given its obsolescence, but a hell of a waste of political capital). In every other respect Carter looked feeble, hapless, and endlessly steamrolled by others. Ronald Reagan’s defining rhetorical triumph was to cut him off, and down, with a single smiling blow that showed his “experience” and “respectability” and “preparation” as useless bloviating.

    Trump is Reagan 2.0, QED

Yeah, giving away the Panama Canal was retarded. Carter is a dope.

Wall St. forced Carter’s hand… Panama was in huge debt and needed an asset to be able to service the debt. So the US gave them the canal, covered all costs of the canal for years, while allowing Panama to collect the tolls… all so they could pay off some money they owed a bunch of hooknoses.

Trump won by the narrowest of margins. His policies and comportment may have the perverse effect of energizing his opposition while leaving his base cold. Re-election is by no means certain. One factor in his favor is that the Democratic “coalition of the fringes” may have difficulty uniting behind a candidate. Bernie Sanders will be 79 on Election Day in 2020 and the prospects of a Jewish candidate from the whitest state in the Union appealing to blacks and Hispanics was always problematic. Bizarrely, a primary challenge to Trump in 2020 (I’d favor Steve King) may actually enhance his appeal in the general election.

Here is how Bernie could win: he could promise to restrict immigration to 100,000 people / year, but he could specify that they must all be non-White.

This would answer the economic objections to mass immigration while insulating him against charges of “racism”.

Add in a promise to massively tax the rich while cutting taxes for people making less than $50,000 / year, some vague talk about peace and respect, and tone down the anti-White, anti-male and anti-Christian rhetoric, and he would win in a landslide.

Well, water seeks its own level. To push it up requires a lot of pressure. With people that represents a great deal of resources to accomplish. I suppose it might be possible to uplift some percentage of dark skinned folks, but the cost and time would never yield the results necessary to maintain Western Civilization. That requires a certain number of people with an I.Q. of 120 or better to simply maintain society at the level we have now. Since genetics decides this, the distribution of I.Q. doesn’t much change over time. Regression to the mean and the low median I.Q. of these dark races precludes any possibility of maintaining Western Civilization. If someone wants to uplift them, then let them fund this themselves and do it in the homelands of the dark ones. Do not endanger the West with this experiment.

I live in SF and work in Finance and since around thanksgiving there has been a shift in Trumps support by straight men in the city. While no one comes out and openly supports Trump. When you get men off in small groups there are “Well, you know he isn’t THAT bad. ” comments thrown around. I was shocked that people came out and said it. It’s been happening more and more. Also, every man I know that works at Ibanks or other high finance positions is a Trump supporter. Just nobody talks about it. It’s a wink and a nod kinda thing. If the economy doesnt tank and wages continue to rise (as they have for the first time in 40 years) than he is going to be hard to beat. My opinion is the #MeToo jumped the shark and is going to be what gets Trump even more male votes.

The best hope might be for the throwbacks to concentrate somewhere and hope that the mutants ‘boil off’ and leave them for Diversitopia. To some extent this might be happening naturally in still-white flyover states.

Another option is to give up and leave for Asia or eastern Europe and watch the west’s slo-mo crash from a safe distance.

Yet another is war but I don’t see much sign of a readiness for that beyond talk.

He’s going to do three pushes on the campaign trail, just like he did last time. Once about six months out, a second at the conventions, (He doesn’t have to win a primary) and once more 4 days before the election.

In no way is Trump REMOTELY similar to Carter.
Carter was president during a time of malaise. Trump is president during a period of neurosis. Trump doesn’t have the luxury of just going off the economy (which Carter failed at), and a foreign hostage crisis would help Trump immensely, since he would not hesitate to go full extent.
It may sound undesirable on the surface, but in the end we may see Trump as another Lincoln. A president who ruled imperiously and crushed his enemies despite atrocious internal disloyalty. The Never-Trumpers= Copperheads. The CSA= the left (it’s painful just to write that. Don’t tear my head off! I mean it in a very specific way).
So Trump, if he is successful will maybe be seen as a based Lincoln?
I’m a southerner and not a fan of Lincoln, but Trump seems to up against similar levels of domestic conflict and will hopefully have the same kind of iron hand necessary to crush the enemy utterly.

Carter was elected President as the Democrat candidate following the Nixon (Republican) “scandal” involving Watergate and his using the Federal Government to spy on the opposition candidate. This by itself would mean that Trump has more in common with George McGovern, which would make Hillary Clinton/Barack Obama the Richard Nixon in the comparison…. but Nixon won and Team Corruption lost, so the analogy falls apart there.

Carter won against Gerald Ford, who was the foundation blueprint “House of Cards” used for “how can you be President without running for election”. Spiro Agnew resigned following Watergate, and Nixon appointed House Minority Leader Gerald Ford as Vice President. Then Nixon resigned and, as Vice President, Ford became President. Ford had never run for national office, serving as a Representative for his local District in Michigan. Never ran for President. He’s not a bad guy, but Ford didn’t have the charisma to run for President.

The Democrats could have run nearly anyone that year. The Republican “brand” had been tarnished, and the incumbent had no experience or natural talent at politicking. He knew how to win his local district, he did not know how to win The South (which went for Carter).

Nevertheless, it was still a close race, because Carter was that bad.

    It won’t be Bernie.

Nobody is converting from establishment Dem to Bernie voter. There 2 kinds of Democrats: Consensus Police (establishment Hillary voters), and Populist Idealogues (Bernie voters). There is no overlap or conversion. They can hold their nose and vote for the other against a White male, but there’s no real competition for primary votes.

When Consensus Dems radicalize, they don’t turn into Bernie voting communists. They radicalize because those who control the consensus are telling them to police consensus harder! See: Women’s March, media riling up mouth foaming Trump hate from your lib friends, etc.

Read this on Instapundit yesterday. This guy is thinking the way that Trump thinks, which has more to do with bargaining and negotiating than with short-term policy wins.

    https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/955574276714848257.html

“1. For a couple weeks now, I’ve been saying that DACA is not a bargaining chip, it’s a bait. In fact, you just saw who Trump used it to bait the Dems into a Banzai Charge on his most heavily fortified position.”

“29. In fact, if Trump pulls this off, ending birthright citizenship will be a piece of cake, because the smarter Dems will rush to readjust their platform to include more immigration restriction. Which will allow Trump and MAGA’ian GOP to move even more to the right.”

Those other points in between 1 and 29 are worth reading, as he’s right this time and he’ll continue to be right in the future.

One more on the same topic:

      https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/955633357853003776.html

“1. Here’s a quick primer for how Trump is will be talking about DACA in the next few weeks, and why if you need to always trust Trump. Have you noticed that Trump has emphasized over and over and over again that he really wants to help the poor DACA babies? Why is that?”

“12. And, yes, Trump knows perfectly well that DACA babies are practically middle-aged & that most of them are a drag on America.
He know that. But, by talking about his love of DACA babies, Trump is taking away his opponents’ most potent weapon, the pity of the American people.
      13. Trump establishes his compassion through DACA-baby love. “Nobody loves DACA-babies more than Trump. But America is a nation of laws. Obama acted illegally, and why can’t Congress get me a clean bill, a bill of love?”
      14. Trump is giving all of us a lesson on how to commit the perfect murder. He’s killing DACA (or holding it for a very substantial ransom) while putting all the blame for it’s death on the Dems. “I’ll sign anything you send.” And the murder weapon is jello.”

It’ll be interesting to see what Trump does when this bubble bursts. Having made his career in real estate, he presumably knows something of monetary theory and business cycles. People are worried about his taking ownership of the stock market. I don’t think that’ll be much of a problem provided he uses the bust as an opportunity for meaningful reform (something Butt Nekkid utterly failed to do, sad but hardly surprising). Trump doesn’t owe Wall Street anything I can think of, given their chickenfeed donations to him. I think he once said he’d have voted for TARP, but who’s really going to complain if he says he has since learned better?

I don’t get the Bernie scenario. He’s embroiled in scandal — his wife is under investigation for bank fraud. He was also clearly paid off in 2016 and the reminder that this great socialist now has several nice vacation homes will come back to haunt him.

Plus he represents a wing of the Democrat Party that is increasingly losing its mind. Keith Ellison endorsing Antifa. Shutting down government over some filthy grifters. White working class are tired of being called racists for not agreeing that America should be the world’s flophouse. Millennials liked Bernie because he promised to erase their crushing student debt, but that represented the totality of their support. They were voting entirely out of self-interest.

On trade, and neocon blundering abroad, Bernie isn’t very far from Trump, frankly. If Trump builds the wall, he wins.

I used to read agnostic a lot, but I stopped when he reverted back to libertarian nonsense. He expresses zero racial awareness and to posture that a (((bernie))) victorie would be good for all populists is fucking insane. Gave up on him months ago.

Maybe it’s wishful thinking but I believe Trump will win once he doesn’t betray his base. And that is by no means a given.

I agree with vanbrah. I do not like it, but I agree with it. God Emperor Trump is the last white man we will ever see as U.S. President. The next president will be a women or some colored minority.
We are losing the demographic war (thanks kikes and your 1965 Immigration Act and open borders, cunts).
We will have no choice but to arm up and either forcibly deport or exterminate
the kikes and all non-Caucasians in the U.S. We can replace these cunts with white men from South Africa and Eastern Europe. No Gypsies, Romani, or
      miscegenates of Ottoman Turks, please.

The Dems cut Bernie off at the knees once already. I don’t think a really old white man gets to play the “it’s my turn now” card in the modern Democratic party (remember those BLM bitches running him off his own stage?).

The low-effort NeverTrumpers, however, are a more insidious problem.

Here’s the blackest pill our white geniuses are being turned into drug addicts. They are testing out 2 year olds and then when they score genius level the parents told well they should do good in school then. lol then turn around and want to put them on drugs for add like what genius can read one fucking book in a class for a year that is not even for average it is retard level shit. I knew the kid was a genius but I didn’t know he tested out at it. So yea I guess I have a prodigy to play with and something to save. I think school actually makes kids dumb my hypothesis at moment.

He needs to stop getting into positions that leave him looking bad or potentially racist (Democratic spin). Most of the loudest noise is negative and sadly he is going to have to gain some voters from non whites.

The reason a booming stock market (or for that matter a booming economy) doesn’t galvanize Trump’s support beyond his base to include independents and party-switching Dems is because the US has bifurcated into a dual economy.

    This.

Over Christmas I visited my hometown in northern New England. Starbucks, artisanal bread and McMansion areas are thriving, other parts/pockets literally decaying due to neglect (but still lived in).

I didn’t remember that from when I was a kid in the 80s. It wasn’t a weathy place then, but for the most part it was tidy and well-kept. Blue collar workers could afford a modest house and lifestyle. There were factories there then (my dad worked in one). The factories are pretty much all gone now, outsourced to China and Mexico.

I looked at the (all-White) employees of Costco and Office Depot. They are making pennies and probably live in those run-down places. Sure as hell they’re not benefiting from the stock rally.

All this was a visceral confirmation that the working class in America has been hollowed out. Increasingly, we have the poor underclass and the wealthy, latte-sipping globalists.

America is on the wrong path.

(As an aside, I was shocked at the median age of people I saw everywhere. Old. Old old. Well over 50. And grizzled. It depressed me. It’s the result of White people no longer having babies. A society that does not procreate does not last.)

in key states – midwest – the chimpazze turn out as smaller than 2012, while the white was stronger. it’s hard to repeat such thing.

but what worry me most is the sunbelt states, with their increasing browning: not just texas: arizona, georgia are states that the percentage of white voters are decreasing each day. north carolina and florida are already swing states.

and such states, the whites ALREADY are mostly trump supporters, so there’s no much voters to gain, unlike the midwest in 2016. but still, hate campaign by the media can even turn alabama into a democratic state

I think too many people, such as alt-liters, focus to much on illegal voters. but even without illegal voters certain states become blue and it’s quite unlikely that they will return to become red = virginia and colorado.

ps = the percentage of white voters is likely 10% more than the real demographics, but this is decreasing: check this comparison by age https://metricmaps.files.wordpress.com/2018/01/age-and-whiteness.gif
