Antitrust NOW

February 6, 2018 by CH

This news report exposing the inhumane treatment of Whole Foods employees since Baron Bezos bought the SWPL chain is further evidence that we live in a new age of robber barons using their monopolistic bargaining power to basically run slave labor sweatshops here on American soil as well as abroad.

The popular Texas-based niche grocery chain was bought by Amazon last year for a hefty $13.7 billion price tag, but employees are ruing the day the online retailer made the purchase, according to Business Insider (BI).

Employees feel hard pressed by the new policies Bezos’s management team put in place at Whole Foods. The pressure put upon them by updated stocking procedures and “pop quizzes” is causing some to have “nightmares” about work.

“I wake up in the middle of the night from nightmares,” a Whole Foods staffer told BI. “The stress has created such a tense working environment. Seeing someone cry at work is becoming normal.”

One of the problems for employees is the new order to shelf (OTS) stocking system put in place by Amazon bosses. The system is apparently breaking down morale.

According to Amazon, OTS is geared to deliver smaller amounts of product to stores in order to keep it fresh and to help the company track inventory better. But OTS requires employees to stock shelves far more often and to keep a closer eye on stockroom supplies to prevent shortages.

[…]

Multiple employees said these tests had “crushed” morale in stores because workers are terrified of getting “walked” and missing some small detail.

“You are so concerned about passing this military-like test that you actually start to lose your department’s operational conditions,” an employee said.

Another worker explained: “We think of it as punishment. They think of it as a way to correct errors.”

Remember when the Left used to advocate for the working man and against Big Business? Yeah, I don’t either. It’s been so long all I know of the Left is that they’re globalist bug-shills for MegaTech, international finance, and race replacement. In the Left’s collective consciousness, allying with predatory billionaire monopolists is worth it to stick the knife deeper in Whitey’s back.

But given that leftoids LOVE LOVE LOVE our modren day capitalist oligarchs because the omnipotent fat cats can be counted on to stream anti-White poz 24/7 into the eyeballs of Heritage America and to fund open borders advocacy NGOs, it’s full speed ahead with the violations of workers’ rights and basic humanity. “WTF I love robber barons now!”

The Left isn’t unprincipled; its core principle is power, by any hypocritical contradiction necessary. We won’t crush the Left by reminding them that they once, a long time ago, championed the oppressed worker. They’ll just shrug that off with a snarky riposte fed to them by John Oliver and carry on virtue shrieking until their enemies are silenced and their livelihoods destroyed. The Left will only be crushed by crushing them….ousting them from power.

The Left hasn’t forgotten that open borders means in practice population churn, social disintegration, consumerist escape, rapacious multibillionaires importing scabs to displace American workers and gut their wages, and rapacious multimillionaire politicians importing ringers to displace American voters and gut their electoral power.

The Left hasn’t forgotten that open borders amounts to greedy fat cat CEOs running an arbitrage scheme on American native workers in which the former have all the leverage provided by millions of third world peasants willing to work for pennies in bezosian slave labor camps while the latter have to bend over and accept rock bottom wages, shitty workplace conditions, and low morale.

They haven’t forgotten any of it.

They have chosen to ignore it.

In service to their overarching desire to snuff out White Heritage America and morally preen on its smoldering ruin.

Still, BI also learned that with [Bezos’] OTS system, Whole Foods might be on track to saving $300 million in costs by 2020.

Cheer up, SWPL shitlibs, with those cost savings you can afford a Whole Foods artisanal cheese block as you scurry out the store trying not to look any of the employees in the eye.

The irony of the spirit of the source of the left’s unending ire, Walmart, possessing the body of the shitlib’s favourite grocery store is just too delicious.

So you have one individual, 33 years old, who has basically full control of the experience of 2 billion people around the world. That’s unprecedented. Even the president of the United States has checks and balances. At Facebook, it’s really this one person.”

McGinn declined to discuss the results of his polling at Facebook, saying nondisclosure agreements prevented him from doing so. But he said he decided to leave the company after only six months after coming to believe that Facebook had a negative effect on the world…

I was not exaggerating or making a caricature, in many ways they have more power over us than the President of the USA

about 100 years ago they broke Standard Oil ( Rockefeller’s company ) into many smaller companies because they had way too much power, maybe it is time for Trump to do the same to Facebook, Google, Amazon etc etc

A number of weeks ago you made a great comment about Jews and their obsession with totalitarian surveillance, secret police, and micro-control of other people, in particular as expressed in domains such as psychiatry.

This really is a thing with them. They have an insane desire to control every aspect of other people, their every thought, their every movement, their every experience.

It isn’t even about workplace motivation or profitability. Has it ever been shown that reduced rations, more work, and liberal applications of the whip is the most effective way to encourage human productivity – or that it is worth it when balanced against the human suffering it creates?

They are always telling us they are so clever. Maybe they can make that calculation.

But no, productivity is not really the issue. They just like to hurt other people.

        Quite insane.

I have no idea whether these tales of literal nightmares are true or not; but, just as a boring quotidian gripe about everyday life and no particular deeper point about the OP (which of course remains gospel true whether or not WF employees in particular are breaking down in tears), I have often wondered over the past few years why the hell I couldn’t recall ever going to the grocery store as a kid and seeing all this INCESSANT restocking going on.

At any given hour of the day, probably a third of the aisles are rendered inaccessible by some employee there with one of those two story pushcarts big enough to cart four coffins around (and usually with a giant trashbag hanging off the backend), plus those goddamn laser guns chirp chirp chirping incessantly.

Plus since most of these guys are soyboys, you get treated to plumber’s crack when all you wanted was a jar of Jif or a half gallon of milk.

Esp. on the dairy aisle this annoys the shit out of me. Half the time I want milk, it’s a half-hour waiting game for the ruckus to clear.

In “fairness” to GloboHomo, most of them don’t look like they’re breaking out in a sweat to get on with it though.

a chick at one of the these stores told me they get three full sized delivery trucks a day.

my guess is that real estate is expensive at the nicer stores and it’s just cheaper to pay people to constantly restock rather than build a bigger larder.

Kinda parallel to what PJ is saying: I talk to the stockers a lot, and to their managers, and it turns out that the average grocery store chain around here isn’t even in charge of its own BUSINESS MODEL.

They outsource all the product choices and product placement to consulting firms who choose the products & the placements and send their people into the stores to do all the re-arranging for the new product lines.

I learned that a year or two ago, and it flabbergasted me.

Essentially, the grocery stores are simply renting [and/or owning] the square footage in the shopping centers, and the consultants provide moar or less the entire business model for what transpires within the square footage.

Just in Time. Three deliveries a day.

The usual comment about city logistics is that every city is just three days from riots once the system goes down. That is now down to eight hours. Once the purple drank runs out, watch out.

When the market either crashes or is frozen (all stock markets closed, withdrawal limits put on ATMs, credit flows frozen) and – as Hank Paulson said – tanks are on the streets, it may be useful to have six months of your favorite snack treats stored in the spare room.

The grocers have two sources of supply: folks like Pepsi and Coke deliver and stock their own space — said space is determined by the grocer.

This model applies across the industry — and across many product lines:

Bread, soft drinks — all drinks, potato chips, etc.

The other items are sourced by the grocer — and run through his distribution system.

The management jealously guards floor space and shelf space allocation. Such decisions are NEVER left to outside parties — though outside consultants are sometimes brought in.

It’s just that consultants have zero loyalty. This makes them virtually worthless to the grocer. They provide virtually no competitive advantage — since they’ll blab to everybody.

Hence, the typical consultant is in fact a captive consultant. He’s really an employee under his own contract. His wages would disrupt the social order if placed in the organizational chart.

Such captive consultants may double as ad-men, the most common source for said consultants.

blert, that’s how I thought it worked, but from talking to this chick, I got the impression that the mid- to large-chains [a step or two down from Walmart/Kroger] never bothered to invest properly in Statisticians & Computer Scientists & Graph Theorists & Actuarials & whatnot, and all the tech terrifies them, and so they outsource it to consultants, in an effort to squeeze out a few extra tenths of a percent in profit from the store.

And I suppose that the extra profit can be realized both in-store [e.g. lining up profitable “impulse purchases” in the maximal shopping path vis-a-vis non-profitable staple purchases] and also out-of-store [in e.g. lining up lowest cost suppliers at least distance from the store].

One reason globohomos like Bezos attach so strongly to social justice politics is that they need to keep the liberals revolutionary instincts funneled to a cause that doesn’t harm them.

People only have a certain amount of political energy to direct. If you keep them focused on trannies and entering lotteries for Hamilton tickets, they won’t have enough time left to worry about how you are consolidating obscene percentages of the world’s wealth.

like how many trannies are there really?

Zero. It’s impossible to be a man trapped in a woman’s body, or a woman trapped in a man’s body, in much the same way as there can’t be any such thing as “dry water” or “frozen steam”. That’s not what the words actually mean.

        http://www.dictionary.com/browse/oxymoron

Unless your definition of “transgendered person” is “person who believes that they are transgendered”. Then the number of such people is some miniscule fraction of one percent of the population.

You might as well just refer to them as “delusionally crazy people”. We don’t feel any need to invent special terms to describe people who believe that their real identity is a dog, or a martian, or the reincarnation of Elvis or Jesus, although presumably there must be some of them, somewhere. Maybe they should start complaining about “transgender privilege”.

I tend to believe this as well. There was an article I read last year from a conservative leaning outlet, that discussed this aspect of the new internet titans being the Rockefeller/Carnegie of our era, yet the suburban masses seemed to revere them and their brands, and had no inclination to direct their support to the little business guy. SJW’s are happy to embrace the businesses of these billionaires or majority owned by multi-millionaire stock holders who jip the American people of billions in tax receipts by funneling their profits through overseas tax havens. I believe Amazon has its financial head office in Luxembourg, but mot consumers wont know that. Most of the fuss in the media of late has been over their operational HO and what city will win them over (by bending over for Bezos (using tax payers $)) with concessions to save the company money.

I read recently that the % wealth of the top 5% in relation to the bottom 25% or whatever it was, has now surpassed that of the golden age of income inequality – the roaring 1920s. In our globohomo world, in the majority of industry sectors there has been a consolidation of market power since the 90s by the 1-3 leading multi-nationals who dominate the 80+% of their competitors in their sector. Like you say today’s lefties would rather focus on tranny rights, trump, nazis, social media, immigrants rather than poor Americans, the latest streaming tv series or IT gadget, than worry about this.

It’s funny; just today I was reading an article lauding Jeff Bezos as the “smartest businessman around.” He certainly is the richest, according to Forbes and others, at over $100 billion dollars U.S..

I’ve also seen interview footage of Jeff Bezos on Charlie Rose. He comes across as an earnest geek who isn’t the brightest of his cohort but has a charming kind of waif affability, bald-head and all, for his kind. As someone who was in technology (I was a computer programmer for the federal government in Ottawa for a while), I recognize the type: tries to fit in, can’t, but keeps his goofy smile for the back of the party where he’s lodged.

He’s characterized as a solid beta. I’m a 6’1″ very good looking alpha, which makes me the rarest of rare techies. He’s beta to the core. He won’t ditch any significant other he has; probably uses the term significant other. The only cool thing about him is his alterna-business, Blue Origin, which will fly tourists into space and no doubt will segue into actually amazing things like asteroid mining and Jovian colonization in our solar system, and that I support. Well, I suppose the last is good: If he can get us off this rock and into space, on the backs of Whole Foods employees, those losers get what they paid for for being uneducated.

Get a STEM education, boys. It only takes an IQ of 120 on the mean. X.

I don’t know that I would want even the Database Admin to have an IQ of only 120.

I’d want 130 in the Admin & 140 in the coders.

And in management? 150? It’s ironic that the coders are often more brilliant than their bosses in the computer in industry. Look at the history of Xerox PARC and how the head office boys fumbled that one so badly. Xerox could be the trillion dollar world-beater supercorp . . . and in the fine tradition of the past, they HAVE HIRED A BLACK NEGRESS TO RUN THEM. Around here I call this hybrid of Dems and pro-business exploiters “Cronycrats.” Politically and socially they’re like some sci-fi chimera project. The Dems are anxious about losing power and, like the pro-business segment the core principle IS P-O-W-E-R. The power is to be able to tell people how to live. Part of the ‘food’ for this hybrid is from numerous government grant programs supporting all types of ‘development’ activities.

One example of minor Dem power seeking is the banning of plastic bags from stores. George Carlin was right in asserting Planet Earth can “heal itself” from minute damage. But plastic is infinitely better than noisy, inflexible, tear-worthy paper bags. They make busy-work for themselves as government infrastructure and, like recycling projects in Canada, insert their glorified virtue signalling noses into people’s lives telling them GRACIOUSLY how to live.

Assholes need a shotgun shoved up their anuses, trigger pulled.

Recycling like many libtard projects is in large part a guilt relief industry. It is no different than anti-racism and all the other things they do to take the self-induced angsty guilt away from themselves.

The sheer amount of energy / fuel and logistics to recycle both paper and plastic FAR outstrips the benefit of putting those products back into the production stream at a later time. They don’t care. Science is like, hard…

It is why I’m constantly kicking myself for not inventing bottled air, or something of the sort. You could actually sell this if you simply have bulletproof marketing and some pseudo-science with LOTS of feel good messaging.

“Taken from the non-ionized upper atmosphere. This bottled air has no residual radiation from electronic devices in it. It’s pure unaltered chemical structure hasn’t been touched by any hydrocarbon burning, EM radiation, or toxic masculinity as we hire only half naked Congolese blue-gumed women with their pendulous utter like flapping tits doing the bottling.

We certify that this air has never been adulterated or contaminated by white hands and for that reason will instantly increase your well being and extend your lifespan by 10 years when breathed regularly.”

You get it… the modern shit-lib is a pseudo-intellectual poser. Throw some feel good stuff together in a marketing pitch with snappy packaging and they will buy it as 5 to 10 times the production cost. When your entire existence is feelz and guilt relief driven marketing is low hanging fruit because the discerning intelligent consumer is a thing of a past era.

        About plastic,

I lost the link but a couple weeks ago I read an article that explained that over 90 % of the plastic that floats in the sea and forms those floating islands of plastics comes from only 10 rivers.

and those 10 rivers are NOT in North America or Europe!!

they are in Asia, Africa etc

the people in those places simply throw plastic in rivers – as if that was their trash can – which carry it to sea

it is NOT us WHITES who are polluting the sea with Plastic and causing turtles and dolphins to have plastic stuck in their mouth or lungs

it is the non whites who are doing that

that is not a racist comment, that is what science has observed.( if I remember correctly it was done trough satellte photos )

we are being lied to and we are being manipulated by liberal politicians and activists and by the media.

There are three forms of consciousness a WN needs: class, gender and race.

WN for the most part is an international movement of working class white men. The class struggle is very strong; the middle and upper classes are too busy counting money to help the struggle. They can “buy” a form of segregation by pricing out minos.

The elites are trying to “shut it down” with their Surveillence State racket. I hear truckers have an in-cab camera system that can record location, speed, audio, video, turns and so on.

Until the .Alt Right appeared y’all are the only ones who were even cognizant of the economic aspect and the greed of the globalist elite , the hate of culture. Whatever else y’all aren’t money cucks either which is refreshing

Also that willingness to see value in the collective and not just the individual is very powerful. Collective action, collective punishment if needed works and when fighting a “collective” may be the only thing

Despite some in the .Alt Rights IMO justifiable disdain for the costume Nazi’s and the stupider aspects of your movement, German NATSOC and the corresponding worship of that Austrian Moron there is value in some of what you preach

These people never learned that accommodating those who are less fortunate is a virtue, and a sign of a strong leader. The real alpha makes the Downs-Syndrome kid feel useful and helpful. I’ve never understood how billionaire lefties can justify their politics. Business is, essentially, a predatory game more than a win-win one. The economy may not be zero-sum, but there are plenty of losers who try to start up an enterprise and fail, taking down their investments with them.

Warren Buffett: Geeky populist of the farm-Progressive strain

Bill Gates: Center-leftie, whose Micro$oft days was legendary for underhanded tactics to drive out Wordperfect and Lotus, leveraging control of his operating system for better integration with his products

George Soros: Bet against the British central bank and won a cool bil. Funds all kinds of anti-white globalist things, but he is a Hun in New York, and one must question how white those Hungarians truly are. Austrians may have when they were one half of the empire.

So you can see the list goes on. Rich Hollywood actors fall into the same camp. Bruce Willis complains bitterly about the amount of tax dollars that get stripped from them (“they burn it”) but what’s he doing with his money? In the old days, him and Demi Moore are bathing in fresh bottled water. This is how they live; how they spend their money. Willis forgets his poor New York acting roots in the lap of Malibu luxe. None of them REMEMBER what it’s like in the real world, struggling to make the rent payments. Their friends are all in gated communities, mostly white worlds like them, and in the acting world you go along to get along, being liberal as all fuck, like all of them.

And they have a very odd anomaly in that 1/3 of their entire population has green eyes which is the rarest color in the world, moreso than blue even.

They are also fierce nationalists and very pro-Europe in a way few modern nations are. Soros’ problem isn’t Hungarian, his problem is (((Soros))).

Leftists are usually unsympathetic to those in jobs they consider “low” while I would not suggest that working as a supermarket cashier is in any way a lifelong career it is still a job deserving of basic respect and decent wages. What is sad is that leftists will respond to people demanding better conditions to their jobs in non degree fields like retail, construction and transportation to get stuffed and get a degree, this is as is stated above so different to the more sympathetic attitude the left had towards working class workers over 40 years ago.

Yes, but remember when unions were strong? Some Leftists were unable to get educations in the tumble-turvey days of the 1920s-50s, and floundered into the manual labors despite being pretty durn smart. They picked up the union baton and drummed it, getting themselves prestige and so on.

But THEN things evened out and all the high-IQ kiddies got scholarships, both Right and Left wing. The Left no longer needed to lead unions; they could take their “rightful” place as Big Law John Edwards types. The unions now have no leaders; their IQ cohort is all making deals with their London counterparts across the ocean, shaking hands and banging hookers like Weinstein.

True story. There are no union leaders, no unions, and no sympathy for the low because the smart Left all got a leg up in the economy thanks to greater general wealth and government ass’t. X.

        Thanks to greater general wealth????

The very best you could say along these lines is “thanks to greater general consumption” but all of that increased consumption has been pulled from the future through massive debt expansion.

Because it is debt, the theory is that it is supposed to be paid back out of future excess productivity. The assumption there is that there will in fact be a trend of increasing future productivity.

My guess is probably not. So what happens when 240T in world debt has to be repriced, much of it to zero?

Never saw anybody in there in Burnaby, B.C. By the way, in case you guys care, Xtrabeing (I) moved to Vancouver from Toronto four days ago. Just started my new life. Wish me luck. I’m in “resonance” with you mentally it would appear. Given how badly my shit got derailed after my little midnight rendezvous w/ the Stasi I’ve been thinking along the same lines.

There is an untapped market out there which is disenfranchised white males. They are manifold and there is money to be had and businesses to be started. I simply haven’t figured out the magic equation yet. There is a DIRE need for an alt.net, a literal alternate internet, for starters. But the logistics of that alone are mind-blowing in scope.

Also even if you were to get some minimal forward traction with like-minded people the minute you became profitable and the “point and shriek” invasion of the body snatchers SJWs caught wind of you they would do everything under heaven and earth to destroy your business.

Any plan of amassing like-minded talent would have to have in the Preamble to the biz plan, I mean literally, paragraph one, a way to deflect the incoming shitstorm that would arise eventually.

I don’t think you can write quality code with an IQ less than 130, and I’m not entirely convinced that you can write quality code with an IQ less than 140.

      Writing good code is HARD.

Trying to anticipate all the things which can go wrong [when your code encounters the Real World, or even when your code simply tries to link with some library written by another moron] is d@mned near impossible.

Yes and no. 130 sounds steep. Repetition is the key. Like with most things, if you can visualize it, you’ll get 80% of it working. Getting code to be elegant is an art form unto itself but is achievable.

Granted, I know that you’re getting at the true prodigies, the 130+, that can see it instantly and produce such elegance with the quickness, whereas someone not as talented would need more time.

Over 130 IQ is about 1.8% of the population, I think. There should be a lot of competition for the skills or minds of such a small segment of the community, and that is without even admitting that one can be 130+ but still be unequipped for certain types of tasks or occupations. For example, being over 130 doesn’t mean you can play the piano, or that you are even especially mathematically minded.

And then there is the moral dimension. A 130 + crook is still a crook and the intelligent but socially awkward is still socially awkward

And then you have to consider that while there is no level of human intelligence that can cope with the true complexities of life, many highly intelligent people are convinced otherwise and believe that they can foresee and allow for all outcomes. And that is probably more dangerous and will bring bigger disasters than anything the less intelligent can ever do.

An example of this is the Haber-Bosch process. It took considerable applications of intelligence to discover and operationalize this globally but what has it brought us. 1.25 billion Africans who all want to live in Europe.

The dependence of our agriculture on fossil-fuel dependent processes and the 100% desolation of our soils.

It has taken the world into massive populations overshoot and there will be the inevitable die-off. Did these great geniuses foresee that and allow for it in their great plans? No. Not at all. But it is now starting to fuck us over big time

Thanks brainiacs. But I am not so very impressed with the high IQ crowd.

That’s my point: Only a vanishingly small percentage of the population can write quality code, and no moar than single digits can write even just crappy code.

The idea that you can retrain IQ 115/105/95/85 Normies to be Elite Hackers is simply ludicrous.

Leftists have total disdain for those they deem to be beneath them, especially the “wrong kind of white people” who do working class jobs like emptying dustbins and beeping groceries.

Working as a supermarket cashier used to be the kind of job that a wifé would take to earn extra money on the side, as a supplement to the male householder’s main income, and it was a good arrangement. Now instead of a husbând lawyer and a wifé cashier duo, it’s more likely two lawyers or two supermarket employees. Great for the former household, but terrible for the latter.

If anyone is still hung up on southern Euros as “not white” they are either stupidly blind to objective reality (Matt King) or simply a shill / enemy and should be dealt with as such. We are looking at an extinction level event that couldn’t be fathomed even half a century ago when we were still taking potshots at each other across different European ethnicities.

I read a story written by a retired communist decrying that his micro party was taken over by youth talking only about immigration, homosexuals and feminism. Though he didn’t use those exact words. This was a guy who used to look forward to a Soviet invasion of Western Europe, ah, the good old days when one could dream. But why so surprised by what the new Marxists are up to? The methods differ but the goal is the same – make sure the West can’t resist. A goal taught by Hollywood with new methods now. He didn’t see it.

The labor unions in the early 20th century Europe weren’t always political in the beginning, but they quickly fell to social democrat-communist control. Whenever factory owners agreed to negotiate, the union leaders would increase their demands to absurd levels. Everything to cause conflict and keep the workers furious at the managers who “won’t agree to our demands!”. The only ones who ever truly cared about workers – and management, and the middle class – were the nationalists, with their policy of making the classes see each others’ points.

And have you heard how sociology professors talk to their devoted students about native-born workers? They put some velvet around the words, but the point is that the workers are all racists or potential racists, and against homosexuals, and for the death penalty. Workers bad, immigrants good.

The workers were fools to vote for those who hated them. Now that workers have gradually started voting for right-wing parties all over the West, the people they put in power are replacing them. Nobody ever puts it that way, since you’re not allowed to criticize workers in a democracy where you need their votes. But if they had voted for nationalists instead we wouldn’t be in this mess. Only 2% of industry workers in the cities voted for the NSDAP in 1933, with the rest voting for communists and social democrats. Shows how they were voting all over Europe, no doubt. Thanks a lot.

Look up the etymology of “man”. The English I learned as a native speaker is asymmetrical- man for generic human and no particular designation for a male, with woman a particular for female. The prime minister of Canada doesn’t know English. Maybe he’s a Francophone? But that isn’t right, French is like German and Spanish with gender designations all over tarnation.

My dictionary confirms that the language I learned from my parents is correct. It says, Old English had wer and wyf as a word for a male human being and female human being and man as the generic term for any human without reference to sex. It says that Middle English displaced wer with man but retained wyf in wyfman to refer to a female human being. Wyfman of course became woman in current English.

From the primeval I-E ancestor known to the Germans as Mannaz, son of the god Tiwaz/Tuisto, and through him the 3 divisions of that nation, Herminones (Hermann/ Irmin), Iscaevones (Aske/Ash), and Ingaevones. From these latter sons of Yngvi are descended not only the hordes of English folk who conquered Britain, but their royal houses such as the Ynglings (currently from “Sweden”).

Therefore all English-Americans have literal prehistoric royal and indeed divine warrior blood running in their hearts.
Look after it carefully. It conquered the world for you.

German-Americans and a load of Lowlanders, Franks
and Scandymericans are of the same blood.

I’d take that statement from AH with a boulder of salt. I’d liken that to basically a modern leftist preaching “tolerance” while being the most intolerant hate filled myopic retard there is.

I say that because the historical record doesn’t jive with that statement. AH saw Christianity as a weakness and a liability and I cannot much say I disagree with him. Even by mid-century the Christianity of earlier eras had already started being replaced with something soft and weak.

He tolerated the various churches because it would have been a PR nightmare to have done otherwise but there is ample evidence of various holy men of many denominations being disappeared for a variety of reasons. The JQ, being a big one, but there were many factors. Again, this is all basically a matter of historical record at this point.

I get the impression his view was not dissimilar from my own in that he understood the foundational nature of Xtianity in the West, but also saw the ‘paint peeling’ from the edifice as it’s modern trappings had severely weakened it.

heh. yeah, progs like to think whole foods is a program haven from top to bottom and not subject to the capitalist system. used to be a good place for whiny SJWs and “artist” types to work because they could be among their own mind and have a pretty leisurely job. which is why, up until a few years ago, you could still meet cute girls working there. it was an easy, somewhat-hip blue collar job.

now it’s more or less an assembly line, and started becoming that way even before bezos. IOW, an ACTUAL blue collar job. IOW the perfect job for all those SJWs with useless liberal arts degrees.

get used to it, kiddies. or get a truck and start a gardening business. or start selling naranjas on the corner.

our manufacturing jobs have been going overseas for so long that a large portion of the population has forgotten what it means to a) have an actual SKILL that makes one employable, and, b) work a decent eight hour day where you come home feeling exhausted but satisfied.

stocking grocery shelves is one of the lowest skilled jobs out there. now the guy at the butcher counter, that guy has skills. the forklift driver unloading the trucks. skill. the managers overseeing everything- skill. all the people moving shit around- easily replaceable.

that’s the problem with our service- and money printing-driven economy. it’s top heavy with a lot of clueless but incredibly self-important people who’s main contribution is generating valueless hot air and make-work. they have no idea what actual valuable work is. making quality things, under budget and before deadlines.

they’re going to have to learn. fast.

the ONLY reason low-skill, college educated whiners get those low-skill stocking jobs at SWPL grocery stores in the first place is because having them out there on the floor where they can be seen by customers provides the right “your neighborhood market” aesthetic. in the back, out of sight of the customers: all beaners.

you can’t have beaners out restocking the shelves at SWPL stores because that fucks with their virtue signaling. it would give the game away.

I remember well about 20 – 25 years ago how the left was very angry at Walmart, because – they said – every where a Walmart opens, all the small business around it die.

yet today leftists are celebrating and welcoming Amazon which is bigger than Walmart, sells a wider variety of stuff ( I don t think they sell strapons at Walmart ) and kills even more of the small businesses around especially now since they also sell food.

leftists are weird…and they know so little about anything.

the causes they fight for, the things they hate, leftists know almost nothing about them…all they know is that their leftists friends share their enthusiasm or rage for the same things.

They could not tell you what was great about Obama or Hillary yet they loved them to the point of having misty eyes

They can not tell you what is so bad about Trump yet they openly say someone should murder him

Can we return leftists to the manufacture? they are defective.

I know Walmart did not hurt small business that much and even helped some of them.

some small business had much more customers thanks to Walmart attracting larger numbers of people in that area.

but it was the left’s argument; Big Walmart kills the small stores

why does it NOT apply to Big Amazon ?

Depends. I’m thinking, it’s one thing if it’s a small town in the middle of say, North Dakota, and you got the big Wal-Mart Supercenter, of course it’s going to take out not only the other businesses in that town, but the other towns surrounding it as well. In big cities though, you don’t really feel it as much because you will have more choices, from other big retailers such as Target and HEB to your neighborhood mom and pop grocery stores.

With that being said, it’s hilariously ironic how leftists are so against big business, yet whenever a neighborhood gets gentrified by hipster millenials, it’s the local shops that get hit the hardest, with the bakeries, bodegas, and cafes getting replaced by Paneras, Starbucks, Whole Foods, and Chick-Fil-As. Even the right wing Murica First crowd aren’t as hypocritical. It’s so bad even my high school friends who went activist and supported Bernie Sanders now despise millenials for the reasons above.

Walmart absolutely was terrible for true small businesses.

They don’t sell any products produced by small businesses and they supplant local retailers in ANY community where they build a center.

However, if Walmart moves into a community with a Payless, a Shoprite, and a JC penny — and takes the place of all three — they are displacing “smaller” global companies.

Walmart takes heat for ruining Mom & Pops but Walmart didnt invent the global game. They were just the top of the heap for a while.

In the 1990s, he [and his disciples] went on the warpath against proprietary software, back when the industry was dominated by White firms like IBM & Microsoft & Digital & Unisys & HP & Novell & Adobe.

But now that the industry has shifted to J00 domination [Apple, Oracle, Google, Facebook, Snapchat, Tinder], you never hear so much as a peep out of anyone regarding proprietary software anymore.

The entire [artificially manufactured] “crisis” of proprietary software simply vanished into thin air, once the j00z emerged at the top of the industry.

Proprietary software: The issue for older programmers is that we were taught that a computer program is a constructive existence proof, like the first proof in Book 1 Proposition 1 of Euclid’s Elements. Mathematical proofs weren’t supposed to be patentable. When I have to work with younger programmers I get the feeling they’re no longer taught from a proof perspective. That is the prerequisite for programming is no longer to be able to understand a mathematical proof and that is why their code is so kludgey.

Back in the day I always thought being able to write a good essay was like writing a good program, and sometimes an English major was a more elegant programmer than the math majors.

When they implemented a :”lines of code” metric to determine productivity, most of us laughed at the idea… we all knew it took more time to shrink code to efficient size after you got the program “working”, so to speak.

Cost came from maintaining code, so less code = better code.

        Complete and utter BS.

The arguments against proprietary software are the same as they were 25 years ago, only now much more urgent, since the entire world economy, and most people’s daily lives, have become totally dependent on computers and the internet. Open-source software is the only possible defence against the government and the corporations spying on you every minute of your existence.

        https://www.fsf.org/campaigns/

Apple and Android smartphones call home to their corporate masters every few minutes to report your GPS location. They will also helpfully activate the microphone without telling you, to listen in on your conversations, should the Mossad or the Gestapo identify you as a potential security threat.

        https://wikileaks.org/ciav7p1/

Are you totally comfortable with 24/7 corporatocratic surveillance, or would you prefer that there was some way of avoiding that shit?

No discussion about Walmart is complete without a reminder that the AA sheboon CEO of Sam’s Club (Rosalind Brewer) ran that enterprise into the ground.

I was recently involved in a WM legal matter and was reading emails between top WM execs as part of discovery. I was impressed by the truly superior, even exemplary level of professionalism and intelligence on display in WM’s highest echelons. Except for Brewer. Her email were always short and unhelpful, virtually written grunts. Her most insightful comment was a Reply All stating, in essence, “I agree with what [Walmart CEO] Doug [McMillon] said.”

She’s now COO of Starbucks, which amuses me to no end. Starbucks deserves her.

I don’t find their lack of intellectualism, curiosity, or life blinders surprising at all. The “useful idiots” have existed throughout history. There has always been zealots to the cause going back to antiquity.

The only thing that makes the modern zealot different is:

      1) They -think- they are intelligent with pseudo-intellectualism being a badge of honor, with nothing ‘under the hood’ to back it up.

      AND

      2) They don’t see themselves are religious zealots. They don’t understand their diversity, secularism, anti-racism, equality shtick is religion by any other name. It has all the things needed to be a radical religion. Heresy against the gospel, priests, acolytes, loyal fervent zealots, apostates, witch-hunts, burnings at the stake (career and virtual, for now), etc etc.

It is a fundamentalist cult as dogmatic and radical as militant Islamism. They simply cannot wrap their mind around this fact because when you are so thoroughly entrenched in it, you have no reason to question it. And just like other zealotry of any era, they are 100% convinced their cause is righteous and just and are willing to commit unspeakable acts because of that.

There is nothing new under the sun, and history is cyclical. We are simply back in a down cycle as most here have noted. The ‘hard times’ portion of the cycle is starting to crest like a wave that hasn’t broken yet, but within the remainder of this century it will crash hard against the rocks of reality.

I’m not virtue-signalling here, heaven forfend. But when I had my own company I never tried to screw the last cent out of my employees, especially when we were doing well. I’d see nobody hard done by and when I sold it – and we’re not talking major money here – I passed on about 20% of the money to staff even though under no legal obligation to do so. I felt that I was now comfortably off and the “sacrifice” would make little practical difference to me or mine.

So I just don’t get it – I truly don’t – that someone like Bezos would do this. He could transform miserable lives into happy ones and never even notice the difference in his bank account. The only explanation I can think of is that such people are truly less than human, true sociopaths in that they lack all empathy for others.

It ain’t just Whole Foods. The entire grocery industry, fueled in no small part by EBT, makes profit by exploiting a vast part-time workforce. They will give these people just enough hours short of a 40-hour week so they can’t get any benefits. On top of that the schedule will be haphazard and change daily.

I don’t get it either. A little extra for these workers would be returned by loyalty and hard work but the standard method is to hire lots of part-time workers and depend on turnover to keep the operations going.

This is something I started to notice in the late 90s, in many sectors, but particularly the big, legacy grocery chains. A man could get a full time job at a supermarket chain, full time, with some benefits, defined contribution pension plan, 2 weeks paid vacation, modest but steady raises, and job security. If both parents did this, they could eek out a respectable, not affluent but decent, upper working class lifestyle. There’d be no annual Europan holiday, the home and car would be respectable but not luxurious.

I distinctly remember hearing that “they don’t hire full time anymore” at the local supermarkets, during the 1990s when my father was in an out of work, a victim of the whims and vicissitudes of globalization, privatization, outsourcing, automation (replacing receptionists with voice mail, which everyone hates) and the race to the bottom (funny, everyone talks about how great the economy was during the Clinton years; maybe it was good for the creative class in big cities, but I can assure you, as Trump’s victory vindicated, that the economy was a disaster for working folks in the 90s).

The only people who I knew who did well during the 90s were kids whose parents were at the publick trough (teachers, cops, bureaucrats).

Your comment exemplifies the kind of issues that genuine left-wing politics used to address, up until about the 1970s.

What now passes for “left” politics is actually nothing of the sort; identity-politics is a variety of neoliberalism, wherein aspiring members of the professional and management classes compete in the Oppression Olympics for advantages unrelated to their own ability and talent, as they trample on everybody else in their climb to the top of the wealth and status pyramid.

That actual left politics, which addressed the life issues of the entire working population, irrespective of sex and race, has now been completely obliterated by neoliberal bullshit, which addresses the largely imaginary issues of a small minority of social-climbing assholes, is something that most assuredly did not happen by accident. Somebody invested a lot of time and money to produce that outcome.

But since five or six billionaires now have as much wealth as half the world population, it’s turned out to be an enormously lucrative investment, much more so than anything else they could possibly have done.

That may be part of it, but even more so this:

For much hilarity, I must recommend the following article, which sceptically considers the relative merits of transgenderism versus transracialism.

as is ever clearer and ever more important to note, race politics is not an alternative to class politics; it is a class politics, the politics of the left-wing of neoliberalism. It is the expression and active agency of a political order and moral economy in which capitalist market forces are treated as unassailable nature. An integral element of that moral economy is displacement of the critique of the invidious outcomes produced by capitalist class power onto equally naturalized categories of ascriptive identity that sort us into groups supposedly defined by what we essentially are rather than what we do. As I have argued, following Walter Michaels and others, within that moral economy a society in which 1% of the population controlled 90% of the resources could be just, provided that roughly 12% of the 1% were black, 12% were Latino, 50% were women, and whatever the appropriate proportions were LGBT people. It would be tough to imagine a normative ideal that expresses more unambiguously the social position of people who consider themselves candidates for inclusion in, or at least significant staff positions in service to, the ruling class.

She just moved on (was moved on) to other psywar campaigns, namely “feminism”. As were innumerable other people like her, in universities, NGOs, political parties (cough democrats cough), and the “alternative” media. All of them generously funded by nebulous “foundations” (Ford, Rockefeller, Carnegie, etc.), wealthy benefactors (((Soros))), and thinly-disguised spooks. They know what questions they’re supposed to ask, and which ones they’re not, according to whether the funding expands or shrinks.

It is hard to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends upon him not understanding it.

Half a century later: total victory!!! In the unusual event that anybody (Sanders?) tries to do so, they are immediately set upon by shrieking identity-politics operatives, who are probably too stupid to understand that their entire ideology has been deliberately guided and sponsored by billionaires, for exactly this purpose.

Confused – the linked article points out the new order system started under Whole Foods management before Amazon even bought it (thought knowing how corporations work, Whole Foods owners likely used the new inventory system to entice Amazon to buy). More confusing are the employees whom work there – many problem do to virtual signal that “I work for a virtuous great company”. Silly rabbits – they should know those that signal the most care least about their employees.

Reading this post brought to mind a grocery chain our family shops at frequently, Aldi. They run extremely efficient stores, and their prices are very competitive.

It always appears the place is understaffed but everything runs smoothly. The employees work hard and they work smart and everything is well-coordinated. The same people who run the cash register stock the shelves, unload the trucks, sweep the floors, etc.

The relevant dynamic is they vet the people they hire and they pay them relatively well and offer good benefits. The employees are disproportionately white, which isn’t suprising because the tasks and responsibilities require an IQ above the industry average.

Undoubtedly if you took the employees from the local Kroger (I’m not as familiar with Whole Foods) who are more representative (black) of the city they would be overwhelmed and the ones who cared would probably be broken down to tears.

If an Aldi-style efficiency is what Whole Foods is shooting for they will have to hire more qualified (and likely white) people and pay them decently enough that they don’t go work for less efficient, less demanding employers. I don’t think that is a bad thing.

Sorry if that seems a little too libertarian.

There’s an odd grocery situation in my neighborhood, with a Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s and [Kroger] all within 200 yards of each other. Only Whole Foods employs Blacks, and only at WF do I get my order screwed up regularly, from the meat counter guy punching in the wrong code and charging me a higher price on meat to the stir-fry cook forgetting to add the f’in seasoning to my chicken and veggies, and more.

It’s the first time I’ve lived around Blacks (moved here a year ago) and I must say, it’s really opened my eyes. I never thought the expression “around Blacks, never relax” would apply even to my retail purchases. They truly are incompatible with Western civilization.

Dudes were wondering: Why will Whites storm the streets for Thug Ball, but they won’t storm the streets when a White girl is murd3red by a sh!tskin invader?

And the psychological point which many of us Alt-Righters are missing is that NORMIES want to expend their emotions on something POSITIVE – like a Super-Duper bowl victory, or a spectacular rocket launch [and return to launchpad] – and Normies just don’t seem to have the spare energy necessary to expend a whole heckuva lot of emotion on something negative, like Kate Steinle [or even Edwin Jackson] being s1aughtered by a Dreamer.

“and/or a good old-fashioned useless war. because, you know, freedom isn’t free.”

Exactly. We need to be thinking of POSITIVE ways to promote WNism, because if you start throwing too much “J00! J00!!! J00!!!!!” stuff too quickly at the Normies, then they’re gonna start zoning you out and retreating back into the safety & comfort & normalcy of their tortoise shells.

I also got that sense with Trump’s rallies during 2015 & 2016, to include the post-erection “Thank you!” tour: That folks who showed up weren’t being propelled by negative energy so much as by positive energy.

Also, the Frankfurt School is well aware of Whites’ abiding desires to be part of a cause bigger than themselves, and they control many White insulae with attendant Psychological Warfare Campaigns, such as recycling your garbage to combat Globu11 Warming, or adopting a poor starving n!glette orphan from inner sh!tholeistan, or fighting and dying amongst the sand n!ggers so as to expand zionist power throughout the near orient.

But if the Frankfurt School can manipulate this weakness in Our Race, then there shouldn’t be any reason why we can’t manipulate it ourselves.

In that vein, the idea of glorifying the beauty of young White ch!ldren is probably one of our better bets.

exactly. which is why plumpjack always says that the only war worth fighting (for us) is the culture war. we have everything we need. technology, resources, capable people. the only things we’re lacking are hearts and minds.

and by winning the “culture war” I mean coming up with a kick-ass winning narrative that blows everything else out of the water. success is the best revenge kinda thing.

I’d like to be too busy winning to even have time to debate immigration. “nah.. they gotta go. we’re too busy. this conversation is over.”

The Washington Post is actually openly lamenting that White people won’t become a minority for an additional 1-5 years because of Trump:

They just come out and say it. Openly. How the hell can even a normie support these vermin at this point?

The funniest thing is that, IMO, they’re dramatically lowballing the effect of stopping chain migration. Nonwhite birth rates will COLLAPSE if immigration is cut off.

For just one example, consider Puerto Rico, which has unlimited immigration rights to the U.S. but with a limited population size, and its demographic situation. It’s more screwed than any Eastern European country. There will likely be next to no ethnic Puerto Ricans, as such, by the end of this century.

If you want to know why the Democrats are so intransigent about chain migration… this is why.

Even that we use the word “kindergarten” in America, which was English for its first two and a half decades, provides more evidence that immigrants import their own cultures and ways, and the rest of us WILL be affected.

Yeah, but when you’re talking about people who only really differ from you by language, or you teach White kids something from another White culture (and in many ways, Germanic culture equals and even surpasses English culture), you’re not making them out to be something they ain’t.

Teaching an English or Irish kid about Mozart or the Brothers Grimm isn’t going to make them hate themselves or their heritage.

Today’s White children know more about Martin Luther King than Martin Luther, and more about Rosa Parks than their country’s national parks… I’ll let history decide which subjects are the more worthy.
