As to cheating, it’s just the same as everywhere else, with the added TDY problem. I can’t speak to squids, jarheads or grunts, but family life in the AF is pretty easy to organize (in “peacetime”) due to the nature of that particular beast. It’s all relative though, I’d imagine family life in the other branches of the Service would be much harder.
What I can say is that amount of flirting that goes on is astronomical, and I’m ashamed to say I’ve succumbed to the temptations on a couple of occasions (post hitched), and that I’m genuinely thankful those incidents went nowhere.
Single guys and those with no scruples do slay though.
But when you pick a mate it doesn’t matter whether you are the local mechanic, or POTUS, if you pick the wrong one, it’s the WRONG one, and if they don’t respect you they will stray.

Elementary school teacher in my experience is frequently a job associated with those coming from a good background with intelligent educated parents but who are themselves below average intelligence. This is especially true of the men. It is a nice respectable middle class kind of job but requires little in the form of cognitive ability, since the kids only learn basic maths and english. Such people as these will be painfully conformist.

I dated a first grade teacher. She enjoyed watching TV and relentlessly discussed how bad she felt for underprivileged kiddos. She was a very nice person, conservative, and would have made a faithful wife. Probably a 7/10 hot, intelligence 5/10. Interesting 0/10. Dates with her were some of the most boring I’ve ever endured so it didn’t last long.

I just wrote an dissertation in opposition to the above description of Elementary School Teachers based on my past decade of experience as a practicing heterosexual male in that environment, but I’m simplifying in the interest of eyesight.
Your entire take on EST’s is akin to describing flight attendants of the 1960s as though that’s what you’d see and how you’d be serviced if you boarded a flight tonight. Bygone era. There is no higher concentration of LTR-worthy females in elementary schools than among the general population. The one-to-two attractive 20-somethings you’ll find in your typical elementary school have just spent four or more years having their brains infected with communism, dragging their pussies around state college campuses, and have Tinder profiles that say “Swipe left if you voted Trump” with risque pics of their bad tattoos on display. And now she’s a dictator six hours a day. Like most other slags, they don’t have dads. Find one with an uncucked dad and she might be LTR-worthy. But the elementary school environment is incidental at this point.
Missing from this conversation is the most important career factor: She wants to leave it in order to have a family.

It’s just warped. There are no doubt dozens of men who they interact on a daily basis would love nothing more than to support them and buy them stuff in exchange for their intimacy. And yet they spend 8 hours per day working for $9 an hour at a job they don’t really like. And for what? Spending money? Paying for a degree they don’t need so they can get another slightly higher paying slightly less intolerable job for the same indifferent corporation.
It is just mind bogglingly inefficient. One of those girls could secure the commitment of an established man and have nearly unlimited access to literally millions of dollars of resources over her lifetime.
Especially given the fleeting nature of female beauty. You’d think there would be a sense of urgency. You’d think the cashier would be agressively propositioning every half decent looking man who came through the line.
And that is to say nothing of the joys of motherhood, etc. Just from a strictly economic perspective it is perverse. She could bang a guy with a half decent job once a week for 20 minutes and he would be more than happy to pay for all of her shit, well in excess of the $360 gross per week she gets from working the damn register.
The “what’s a girl like you doing in a place like this” cliche comes to mind, except it’s every girl everywhere all the time.

As you no doubt know, almost half of the US working age popn is in the shitter for money, either no job or on benefits of some kind. I won’t get into money velocity, interbank lending, participation rates, debt loads, pension insolvencies and dependency ratios. We all know all about that. It is (literally) end-times stuff.

I don’t buy the notion that an average man cannot support a family. Definitely not your average 20 year old man but at 30 or so a guy with his shit together could. Maybe not very extravagantly but it could be done. Plus the beauty of the traditional family unit is the division and specialization of labor between the sexes creates a synergy where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Meaning a girl could live better staying home with a guy who makes $17/hr than she could on her own making $9.

But hot babes are by definition only a fraction of the overall female population. Call the top 10% the cutoff for being “hot”. The top 30% of earners in the US make more than $60,000 per year. Granted some of those earners are female but still. That is a lot of guys who are in a position to support a family, especially relative to the number of attractive women.
There is no good economic reason whatsoever for an HB9 to work for anywhere near minimum wage. It is just horribly inefficient. I understand hypergamy, AF/BB, etc but it seems like young women would have a leetle bit more awareness of the bucks side of the equation when they spend a couple thousand hours per year doing something they don’t like.

I too have witnessed this. Several times in just the past week, actually. Twice, and after a few minutes of friendly chit chat and witty banter, the girls smilingly offered me their phone numbers (wrote them on my receipts) and asked me to call them so we could meet up for coffee, though. So it does seem possible that maybe some of these girls are finally waking up to the fact that they have made a critical mistep in the direction their lives are going and that they do need a man after all, and that a traditional role for them might just be a better option than slaving away at some minimum wage job.
I am married, with four kids and a good and very pretty wife (who is 15 years younger than me), so I would not take them up on the whole “coffee” thing. I am just a friendly guy and wasn’t looking for any action.
Frankly, the experiences startled me a little… I am in my early fifties, not tremendously handsome though I am very fit and have been told many times that I look like a “smart professor,” whatever that means (even if I tend to dress like a lumberjack!). Maybe it’s the glasses.
These cashier girls were quite good looking and appeared to be in their early 20s, by the way, with no visible tattoos or piercings.

They surprised me by divorcing after a year or so of counseling (which we know doesn’t work). I say “surprised” b/c although they were only married a few years, they were a longtime couple from college days (11 + years). I didn’t think he had the balls to leave to her. He is now remarried to an Eastern European girl who is lovely. She is dating a slightly less beta dude.
I googled her recently and her LinkedIn photo is more intense than ever. It’s as if chasing a career caused her manjaw features to mutate and take over her face.

Any thoughts on librarians? How do they rate in all of this?

I like librarians as a group, knew some married ones, never dated one. Librarians seem to be the most polite and earnest women smarter than elementary school teachers.
It reads like “Education major who never has to study.” is still a valid stereotype.
The summers off thing makes elementary school teachers a better choice for mother of your kids. Years ago there was a high turnover rate for teachers because they weren’t allowed to work if they were married. Kids got lucky with the young ones and suffered if they got an old bitter spinster.
A friend in college changed his major to education in order to score more with the dumb education majorettes. He became an elementary school teacher. Another friend who kept in touch with him tells me he’s been through several wives and can’t keep from seducing the young teachers he works with. Seems like a good career move if you want to maximize your notch count.

I know some librarians. The do, occasionally have to go to archivist conferences, but as business traveling goes, it’s pretty tame. Most men in library science are very beta.
Actually, librarians may be unwittingly redpilled b/c the lower classes now treat public libraries as daycare, dropping off their kids for hours and letting them run amok.

Elementry teachers are only slightly different to your average cunt out there, they are still narcissistic, entiled, princesses outta the class room. and love their social media whore bag attention fix, this may have still rang true in 2007 when this piece was originally written, but things have changed alot!! in 11 years, and I am afraid there are no exceptions today, no matter what job. Trust me I am a male teacher

Most teachers are completely pozzed, especially if they teach in diversitopia. They’ll never broach the idea of human inequality. Their little brown kids are their pet projects, and the smarter they are, the more they believe they’re priestesses of equalism.
Preschool/Elementary, sure, you’ll find a few good ones with a strong nurturing instinct (to come home to their own kids after that nurturing instinct has been blown to shit), but keep in mind they’re going to seminars and conferences to learn the latest Cultural Marxist buzzwords.
Furthermore, they have to learn how to be authoritative so these shitkids don’t walk all over them, something they’re never really comfortable with.
Ideal: Preschool – 3rd grade teacher at a rich private school with little to no diversity.
