He added that Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg’s “entire business model” is based on these activities, “taking [your] data for free and monetising it, and then writing algorithms behind a wall that treat you like hamsters on a wheel.”
Barber was keen to steer the conversation to more comfortable topics, trying to suggest Bannon was an admirer of Fascist leader Benito Mussolini and proposing that U.S. President Donald Trump’s plans for a military parade in Washington D.C. made him a kind of latter-day Julius Caesar — but failed to land any telling blows.

The are literally like the Ferengi on Deep Space Nine, commissioning a shoddy Shenzhen company that makes shoddy electronics intended for mainland Chinese consumption, (that basically works long enough to get you out the door with no refund or warranty protection) packing them into a shipping container, and then peddling them on Amazon and Ebay. Before the era of the internet they couldn’t pull this scam, you bought your electronics at a real brick and mortar store that had purchasing agents who knew what they were doing and would let Ferengi type shoddy from Shenzhen end up on their shelves. But with the internet these Quark type characters following the rules of acquisition can now peddle this stuff directly to suckers and all the unsophisticated online shoppers looking for “bargains” eat it all up.

I think Bannon gets a bad rap. I also think the media “positioned” him quite nicely between a Time magazine cover and some SNL skits to take the piss out of Trump who has a very fragile ego. They did this because they were deathly afraid of him, and rightly so.
He fell from grace soon afterwards. That alone should show you the true power of media. They basically caused a schism by publicly playing on one of the main weaknesses of Trump and getting the man they considered most likely to -actually- drain the swamp and start a revolution out of the picture.
It amazes me how few people actually took notice of that master stroke of j00 media use.
