Russia claiming Syria shot down 71/103 missiles. Had lunch with my analyst friend here today…I busted her chops over the attack. Like wtf did they need you for. I told her to go in the next time with a Kabuki doll in her place. Low morale inside at this point.
We didn’t fire 77 missiles at that one building and they all hit. Complete BS. Pentagon claims they all hit, perfect 100% rate of success. Comparing our strike package to what Russia was using at much greater ranges from the Caspian against ISIS, the truth is closer to Russia’s side than ours. There is a natural loss rate where missiles just don’t go where you want them. Nothing gets 100%.
Bottom line is that if the success rate against our missiles has gotten good enough that we only hit 3 targets of almost negligible importance, our capability as a nation to project power is done. We’ve relied on precision standoff strike capability aka Tomahawk and JASSM, and built our naval power around it.
In more theater of the absurd, Lockheed is the contractor for F35 and JASSM. The JASSM is several *inches* too long to fit in the F35’s internal bay. How in the fuck? Nobody fucking bothered to check if the next gen ALCM was compatible with the SINGLE ONLY next-gen attack aircraft that is IT or bust?
Honestly I think if we did attack someone and the Russians decided to say fuck it, we would be humiliated. We have no national capacity to deal with the loss of an expensive ship nor everyone aboard. Nobody has shot back at us since ‘Nam.
In this attack, the Russians were notified and agreed to the targets. We spent $250M to blow up a few buildings. Next time we should get a Syrian real estate agent and just buy them.

Slaves were brought over because 1) they were better able to take the climate and could be imported in sufficient numbers for large scale agriculture, drafting water and hewing wood. 2) I am not entirely sure, but I believe they just showed up one day in Jamestown and would have pressed on to the Caribbean if there had been no interest in the slaves. Contrary to what is said today on the subject, the late 19th Century work Slave Narratives repeatedly shows that slaves were generally well treated and wanted to stay on the plantation so to speak rather than have to fend for themselves.

Note that Fidesz was a moderate party, which grew steadily into an effective, revolutionary force because someone of Viktor Orban’s caliber took helm of it.

The other night I watched the movie “Den of Thieves”. No, I never pay. Fuck that.
In its favor? Well-paced and well-shot heist story moviemaking.Good performances from the white male leads.
