These cases raise an interesting question: is there, perhaps, a correlation or at least a parallel between polyamory, and what the evolutionary guys call r-selection?

And you have to figure there is some genetic remnant for these behaviors even among white europeans; it’s just that for a long time civilized mores prevented their expression.
If sexual markets can become disrupted and grossly distorted by degenerating social forces similar to those of Calhoun’s rat experiments, then the evidence you’d look for would be increases in sexual deviancy, loneliness, involuntary celibacy, rancor within and between the sexes, sexual identity problems, STDs, sex panics, ideological hysteria, and miscegenation. You would look as well for decreases in the marriage rate, long-term relationship formation, and fertility.

I often marvel at how few people realize this. I think its this MMA mindset that you have to be some jacked diesel dude to get into fisticuffs with another human being. About four months ago I met a sweet German exchange student at a BBQ. I don’t share it, its wellsprings are not in my nature, but I’m familiar with a type of EE immigrant to the USA who loathes everything he had left behind.
Those individuals’ feelings are too complicated to elaborate on in a short comment, but they are real. In part, it’s the r-selected person’s love of greener pastures, roots be damned. In part, it’s a product of the bitterness resulting from the person’s youthful aspirations shot down by that, which revealed itself to be a corrupt system. And in part, sadly, it’s retro-justification for his decision to leave, emigration entailing a number of familial ties that get cut and the lingering regret.

Those are jews, they were never a real part of their countries of origin. I was thinking of a Ukrainian stripper I talked with (in the US) in my single days. My friend chatted her up and asked her about her homeland. She twisted her face, explaining to us how horrible it it is. I thought, “at least you weren’t a whore there… and you had your grandma…”

PA, I think you misunderstand the desire to move on to see the world and experience more than some stultifying village somewhat. I have lived abroad all of my life and now at the end of it, I am keen to return and spend my remaining days in that village. Before it would have been stifling for me. Most of my life abroad has been rewarding and has expanded my perspectives and horizons. You have done the same. The stripper you spoke of may well have rationalized her decision to conceal her own regret at what she had done and become. I think in your own small piece of this regret, which we all have for the path not taken, you romanticize and overstate the ties that bound the people you left behind.

Americans don’t have much experience with emigration, aside from the oddball expat here and there. In Eastern Europe, that’s a big devil and sometimes it produces a Joseph Conrad, but more commonly, just a bunch of people who like to brag about their underwater McMansion on facebook.
Fred Reed is that, which hopefully for Americans won’t become a thing: someone who runs abroad because for one reason or another, his homeland had failed him.

I understand that piece of Fred Reed well. Americans are incredibly parochial and ignorant of the outside world and indeed culturally ignorant to the point of being painful. The women are especially so. American women are generally an embarrassment for me when I see them abroad and I avoid any association with them. The tourists literally act like drunken whores on some pirate island and are easy marks for the PUAs overseas. They are too often empty cultural vessels and that alone can drive a thinking man to greener pastures. When Americans are culturally aware of the greater European culture they seek to immerse themselves in, they all too often become pretentious and have no understanding of the framework that props it up.

Only significant emigration of any kind that Americans do is from blue states to red states.
No foreign country makes it easy for Americans to move there. Not necessarily a bad thing, as I think it has helped red-pill Americans on the immigration question. If we lose this country, there’s no place else for us to go.

Katy Perry was sexy as hell when she splashed onto the scene in 2008-2010. She appeared on the red carpet for a an awards shew in Toronto wearing a blue dress and did a lingerie shoot for some perfume company and I thought it was the hottest thing I’d seen. She then prostrated herself before the altar of Satan and look what happened to her.
