The Unaccomplished Millennial

May 23, 2018 by CH

Jim Christian writes about his life, contrasting the seeming generational decline between his time and the time of Millennials in accumulated life experiences and accomplishments,

I don’t owe young men anything, but I’ll offer in this informal setting, my experiences and impressions of the day. If rooting for the end of the world, they better think twice. They take a lot for granted, including their own experience and capacity to fight back and do murder themselves. For a morsel of food. Because that’s what the end looks like. Doods bad-ass enough to cope in THAT end-game situation ain’t sitting here raving about Baby Boomers. Millennials are creeping up on thirty or thirty five now? Time to finally grow up kids. Jesus, I’d done 10 years sports, cutting grass and working at McDonalds as a kid, then 51/2 years aboard flight decks, 200,000 miles on motorcycles, a marriage, two houses, a kid, a divorce, and two or three or four careers and dozens and dozens and dozens of chicks by 35. And that was just getting started. Most of us have similar lists of “accomplishments’ by such an age.

But then, we didn’t have ‘smart phones’, liberal-based CATV and 16 years of SJW training, K-12 and 4 at college like a Millennial. Maybe that’s where they’re hamstrung and THAT I can’t help them with other than to say to throw off the yoke, don’t get married and get a motorcycle. That would at least be a start.

Millennials are both the most narcissistic American generation in recent history, and the generation with the least accomplishments and real world life experiences that don’t require viewing through a screen.

What happens when you combine pathological narcissism with an absence of the experiences and accomplishments that would justify the narcissism?

No worries. This is all about to change with the blitzkrieg of Generation Zyklon.

Via PA, a Millennial millennializes,

A good comment by a Millennial few months back:

I’d say that Millennials are the generation of escapism. Stockholm Syndrome is just a subset of that. Our generation was presented with a world that was entirely a lie (and was apparent to us as such), but with no alternative leading to the truth. So as a generation we avoided reality. Many did this by embracing the lie, such as the Stockholm Syndrome group you mentioned. Others escaped into video gaming. Others obsessed over their childhood such as Harry Potter, and many live with their parents.

The strength of conviction of the Millennial progs is not because they truly believe, but is born of their desperate fear of reality. For Millennials, reality is too terrible to face.

If you don’t acknowledge reality, reality automatically works against you. Escapism is a short term alleviation that will create a more painful long-term reckoning. Some Millennials have it in them to fight against their own generation’s current, but it’ll be Gen Zyklon which has to deal with the reckoning and it will mold their character and make them stronger than they now know.

PS: CH, I don’t know where you found that picture of the neo-parisian art-nouveau man-jawed soi-disant-femme-fatale phuck-you-daddy experimenting-dyke who intentionally applies the lipstick to be as jarringly revolting as possible, but a picture sure is worth 1000 words.

If our theories about Zyklon are correct, then stare long and hard at her countenance, because that ilk has nothing but Toxoplasma gondii in their future, and we will have to tell our Grandchildren tales of that horror just as The Ancestors had to endow us with tales of

You must be one of those Boomers who hasn’t been to a college town recently.

In all seriousness, though, pay attention to THE FROWN.

When you drive around the local U, you quickly notice that all of the phat ugly coeds are walking around in their frumpy dishevelled clothing, their iPhags surgically attached to the palms of their hands, with a PERMANENT FROWN burned into their faces.

iPhag addiction & scr0tial media [& Frankfurt School poisoning of the kkkultur] are destroying the souls of the female sex.

Heh. I don’t think I’ve ever been so insulted. I feel like a Beta getting shittested. A Boomer. If I deny it, I’m defensive. I’d never own it for the same reason someone getting called a cuckold would never own it. That’s some funny sh!t right there. That group couldn’t possible be more proud of themselves, yet being referred to as one is grounds for getting called outside to defend one’s honor. They’ll die thinking they’re the pinnacle of human history and will never know in their hearts how hated they truly are.

        I see this at work.

Since this is CA, we had to do a mandatory sexual harassment training thing (it was all online and bogus) and I was thinking to myself, “with this crop, why bother”

GiA: “I don’t think I’ve ever been so insulted.”

I was just teasing with you, muh brutha.

I think I poasted this here at the board about a month ago, but we had a high school senior from out-of-town come visit us – he had been accepted to the local U, and we were taking him around campus to see whether he wanted to come to school here – and I was shocked at the extent to which the quality of teh P00ntang had collapsed in just the last few years.

They’re all phat, there are muds everywhere, the g00kettes are simply hideous [G0d bless their poor little g00kish hearts, but my G0d, they’re ugly], they dress like sailors on shore leave staggering around with massive hangovers, and they all have THE FROWN.

        SRSLY.

We didn’t see any chicks who looked happy.

The kid’s M0m noticed it too – the physical & spiritual ugliness – and she’s an alumna of this particular U.

He ended up accepting an offer from a school out in the midwest – his M0m told me that it had far & away teh hawtest & friendliest chicks [== Biological Calvinism] of any school which had accepted him. [Ironically enough, it also had the highest USNWR rating…]

I just had this experience a week ago. I was driving on the main road through Univ. of Maryland campus which in the 80s and 90s was a well known east coast party school like Penn State w/ a good academic program as well.

I use to drive down that road w/ my dick in my hand basically from teenage years onwards because of the # of raw hotties / smokeshows in the 18-22 range roaming all about.

I went through that campus on a crowded weekday and it was both frightening and sad. The landscape to me looked like a Neutron Bomb. You know how a highly salted nuke can be turned into a neutron bomb leaving most buildings and structures intact but causing hugely lethal neutron radiation doses to living things? It was like that. Same buildings that have been there for decades but with these amorphous blobs with their ham hands clutching at their tech god.

I think I will name it the McRib Bomb. Because it appeared as you’d expect if lethal doses of McRibs had been salted into a weapon of mass destruction. I weep for any Zyklons having to navigate that minefield to find some quality trim. I see why they go incel, I really do. Too much effort for WAY too little return. (Unless you are measuring return in raw tonnage…)

Our U once supplied all sorts of trim to Playb0y’s Girls of the Conference, and models for the Hawaiian Tropic bikini contests, etc etc etc, but now it’s a phucking post-modern wasteland.

throw off the yoke, don’t get married and get a motorcycle. That would at least be a start.

Getting a motorcycle and hitting the gym can increase your SMV by 2 points in less than 6 months. Bike game is EASY. Chicks dig them. Don’t get a Harley; they’re for fat middle aged men (unless you are a fat middle aged man).

    “But EBHS, Bikes are dangerous”

That’s what makes them attractive numbskull. Chicks dig guys willing to risk death for a bit of adrenaline.

Life insurance? It’s already rated, so is health.

Pickup trucks in the city are for posers…I laugh at these people. Trying to project rough in a 2WD F150 that’s never seen a single load of anything in the bed.

[CH: i know the type. but most pickups in the city are owned by contractors who live in the hinterland and drive in to do work for clients. so their truck beds have seen a load or two.]

Ural motorcycles. Meh. Yes, offroading in the sidecar with the 2wd is fun but they are poorly made. If you’re going to get one you should get at least two for parts. If you like fixing motorcycles more than riding them owning a piece of 1940s Russian engineering is a great way to facilitate that.

the problem with bikes is that if you’re not riding them dangerously and pushing the limits to within a nanometer of your life then you’re not really riding them.

for example, did you know that if you pick up a chick at a bar and put her on the back of your liter sport bike, and then proceed to race another dude on a liter sport bike, that you will go nearly vertical by the time you’re halfway through second gear, and it will be the luckiest day of your life if you manage to get the front wheel back down to pavement where it belongs without both of you ending up in intensive care? I do, but don’t ask me how I know that.

Again, it’s part of what makes them so damn alluring.

My Naked Sport bike insurance is about 300 bucks a year. Not too dangerous. My Liter bike insurance, if I didn’t bundle, is about a grand a year. Super dangerous. Of course, most people who by liter bikes are young squids who do stupid shit on them and kill themselves. Look at youtube liter bike tricks and don’t do those and you greatly increase your safety chances.

but there are easier and less painful ways to project an interesting personality that is attractive to women.

I’ve fallen. It hurt but the jacket protected me outside a scraped knee. I still ride. I didn’t get a motorcycle to get girls but man was it an added bonus.

This is stupid. A liter bike runs a 10 second quarter mile. Riding one at 3/4 throttle is faster than almost all things people will ever be part of. If you want to ride one at the limit, go to a track.

        “This is stupid.”

of course it’s stupid. that’s the point. stupid is where you find the outer limits of what’s possible. and what is a bike if you’re not using it to find out what’s possible? a convenient form of transportation, I suppose.

“A liter bike runs a 10 second quarter mile. Riding one at 3/4 throttle is faster than almost all things people will ever be part of. If you want to ride one at the limit, go to a track.”

not the limit, but better than nothing.

and even on the track, you might think you were doing pretty good and staring death in the eye, until you see how your time measures up to some other semi-pro riders. and then you’re, like, “wha?! how the fk is that even possible??”

There’s also the problem that white Millennial men who do want to work and have a life quite frequently have trouble getting hired (because women ‘n minorities), and get sidetracked into taking college or graduate degrees in hopes of making themselves more marketable… and it doesn’t work.

If you can’t get a job, you can’t do all the fun stuff that Jim Christian is talking about.

I’m an early millennial that got a few certifications and then lucked the f*ck out and landed a job… of course, that was after 6-7yrs of struggling with the sh!t economy and resigning myself to being a retail manager before my current position came calling. My buddies, however, haven’t been so lucky… and are still working retail/gas station type jobs just scraping by.

Now that the economy is on the ups and companies (mine included) are looking to hire, they’re going after people fresh out of college… and completely ignoring people like my friends, essentially a generation of guys, that have been down and out for damn near a decade now.

I’m not the one calling the shots, but I have definitely let my boss know “hey I’ve a few buds that would work just as hard, if not harder, and actually show up on monday’ instead of saying “sorry, I’m hungover”. Time will tell, I suppose.

Buddy of mine does welding and said that people are so in demand right now that the welders can absolutely call the shots. He told me of a few sh!t bags that would just not show up multiple days, basically because they could get away with it… such a demand for the work and not enough people to fill the positions.

At any rate, yes… been thinking about it. I’m in IT right now doing just fine, but the stress is starting to get to me, and it’d be nice to work with my hands doing something outside and not having to deal with the office politics.

One of the biggest psy-ops in recent history has been the introduction of “likes” to everything. Everyone wants them. It’s natural. But it is also very unhealthy if taken too far – and too far is not very far at all.

If you want to be free and independent and strong you have to be able to not care excessively if you are liked. The highest priority questions on your self-talk list should be stuff like “Is it true?” and “Is it good for me and my life?”

The question “Does everyone like me?” shouldn’t even be on our radar. But there it is, every day, whatever we do (online), the issue of “Am I liked?” gets pushed at us.

It seems to have fucked up the Millenials pretty much entirely.

Drunk_Concern _ Troll_Irishman comes on here with a rant “I hate all Boomers” and the correct response is “meh”. Taking offense doesn’t even come into it. Because I don’t care what he likes or doesn’t like. That is healthy.

Now I’m a millennial myself, but Jim Christian’s comment comes across as typical boomer snubbery. (Not sure if that was his intention.) How is getting married, having a kid, and then divorcing an “accomplishment”? You’ve statistically doomed that child to mental problems and just made the next generation that much worse by doing so.

How is fucking dozens and dozens of women an “accomplishment”? No wonder society is crumbling when men like you condoned this sort of hedonism for your cummies.

Mowing lawns and working at McDonald’s? Today, no one was hiring (not even McDonald’s) and most lawn care is outsourced to Hispanics. These typical boomer jobs, much less any good jobs at all, just don’t exist for young white people. Because boomers thought making their white children a minority in one generation was a good idea.

Two houses, were these used to raise your family and grow into your local community, or just rent out for cash thus hurting real estate prices and removing the potential of a happy white family owning it and living out their days there?

None of these boomer “accomplishments” accomplished anything, maybe they make you feel that you lived a fulfilling life, but none of it made the world better for your descendants, in fact most of them made it worse.

I second this. Boomers grew up in an age of unparalelled prosperity, but millenials take too much for granted? Once I die, I’ll find you in the afterlife and tell you what working to the last breath was like.

What skills do you have? Can you weld or work a CNC machine? You are barking up the wrong tree if you don’t. CNC machinists start out making $60k. Welders also do very well and there is a big shortage. Stop listening to your commie teachers. Learn to operate a MIG welder. Most working in both skills are boomers ready to retire and there is no one behind them to replace them. Get some life experience, even if it doesn’t pay. This comes from no fathers or pussy fathers when they are in the home still.

CNC machine work starts at $17 an hour. That’s not $60k. Welding starts even lower. You can get a railroad tech job, with on the job training, at $25 though. UPS driver ends up at $36 an hour. So yeah there are plenty of good jobs around. Unfortunately most millennials seem to believe that they should get a college degree and enter the do nothing management class.

17 an hour is 34k. How well do you think those managerial office class jobs are paying now? I was wrong but give it 5 years of experience and you will be pulling in that kind of money and you can always do side work. The problem I see is that these kids were raised by feminist mothers with no ballsy father in the home and finished in SJW schools. I know the military depots and ship yards can’t find skilled welders or machinists.

no small part of the problem is that if someone is picking up a tool for first time in their life at age 20 they have missed out on a lot of the brain development that goes along with learning that skill. their hand coordination is retard level. and retard-level coordination combined with i-know-everything-because-i-saw-it-on-youtube/entitlement syndrome, combined with a low pain threshold doesn’t exactly make them very employable.

ideally they are already developing those skills as kids, but *they* killed a lot of the high school shop classes and replaced them with sjw/victimhood narrative propaganda classes. so it’s a bigger problem than just the desire to work.

Technical colleges and oil and gas companies, for example, are joining forces to establish and fund programs to help plants, pipelines, refineries, etc. replenish that same aging workforce that is going to leave a gaping hole in oil and gas when all the boomers retire. Most refineries have hundreds of workers, and all the maintenance guys are old.

I was attending a technical college for a short time, and all the 18 year olds were getting internships with ChevronPhillips, Oxea, Lyondell Basell, etc. paying 25.00/hr, and guaranteed employment when they graduate at 20. 25.00/hr to start, five years you are making six figures with overtime and scheduled raises.

Anyone who says the jobs are gone and sits around with his thumb up his ass is a moron .

$35 an hour is not that much money in many parts of the country and we can’t all live in cheap places or they won’t be cheap

$17 an hour is near minimum wage in the majority of populated areas

Millennials are smart enough to know if they pretend to pay me I pretend to work and seek the easiest work possible . Good on them.

Allowing wages to be gutted by 1/3 to 1/2 for muh invisible hand is what caused most of the crisis over the years with immigration and Cultural Marxism doing the rest

Fertility is tied very much to the business cycle in industrial and post industrial civilizations and there is no one weird trick to hack the rate

Stable jobs and decent income or no babies except for the very religious who note have poor retention

Upside of that the future Americans if they make it and trends continue the US will be White mostly Amish Evangelical and Mormon stock and look a lot like people in the past

If they live in blue states it’s bound to be in abundance, but I’m not seeing the young people around here (rural) being all that much different than we were. They actually seem much more courageous and pissed off but in a constructive way.

I think the more general point is to go out and get some real world experience. I am a Gen-Xer, and when I was 16 I disappeared into a national park for a week at a time backpacking with my friends, and nobody thought that was unusual. A job working construction for the summer was considered a great job because it was six bucks an hour and you didn’t have to deal with the public. We drove off for ski weekends with a case of beer and a bottle of liquor in the trunk, and the parents didn’t know or didn’t care. In college some kids worked, one guy lived in a van so he could go climbing all summer out west.I was 17 when I took a plane ride, then bus ride with a friend and we hiked the White Mountains for a week with only what we brought. That was all normal. We couldn’t wait to get away from out parents and do things on our own. Now kids just watch other people’s interesting lives on youtube. I am in a position to hire people now – millennials – for white collar work. I always ask them “what was the strangest job you ever had?” The guy who said “I worked in a sawmill” I want to hire. The one who says, “I did filing in my dad’s office” I don’t want. We had one guy who had been an enforcer on a minor league hockey team. I really wanted that guy. But most of the millennials…and the worst part is they don’t mind. They don’t realized how exciting this time can be for them.

TARP is still going on with the government printing billions every month to buy up housing, to keep the bubble inflated. Lest boomers get upset and banksters go bankrupt. This gives the younger crowd both inflation of their money combined with highly over priced housing and rent.

So a gubmint policy that benefits the boomers while fucking over their children and grand children. Much like all government policies have been for decades now.

So yeah there’s a lot of grief to be had with the me me me generation of sociopaths. Of course appealing to the boomers to actually give a fuck about their kids and grandkids is useless. So I don’t bother to try.

Sometimes I think Milliniels get too much flack. Many Milliniels served in Afghanistan and Iraq voluntarily, and the rest came of age during a massive economic recession. It doesn’t excuse all the g@y whining or the SJWs of course.

But I’ll go for the extremely woke take. The concept of generations is Tamudic/Marxist in itself because it implies perpetual revolution, lack of continuity from father to son. We need to reject generational culture because it is a J00ish concept. Strive to be like your forefathers were before things went completely off the rails.

I don’t grudge hard working people taking it easy when they get old, but is becoming a rootless, pleasure seeking, globe trotter the right of every retiree?

About 50% of Millenials are ok but the other half is entitled and Marxist SJW types. My brother hires them and generally considers them entitled, lazy and out of touch with reality. Not to mention treacherous and disloyal. They will file a complaint at the drop of a hat. Most don’t have fathers and it shows. Most were given the full SJW dogma in school and drank it like Kool Aid. I don’t see much that impresses me.

They complain about the lack of opportunity but lack the ability to make their own opportunities too. My brother works a full time job and has a side business too. He told me last night that the couple he hired for one of the Farmer’s markets he works at stole half of his daily take. Owning two houses is also not going to destroy the neighborhood. Most shun the trades for instance and don’t want to work hard when they get jobs. I hear this too often for it not to be true. Generation Zyklon will blow their doors in.

Ask millennials about experiences and they will talk about going places, seeing things, or tasting food. I have heard very few talk abou DOING anything. They only discuss what someone else DID. I have come to think that this inaction stems from one of two sources: either, one, they are afraid and are paralyzed by this fear, or two, they are fundamentally lazy. It helps explain the xenophillic tendencies. Greginaurora has it right, go out and DO something and your outlook will drastically change. Learn to cook, learn to fight, learn to fix basic plumbing and your worldview can be changed for the better.

Mindset (refusal to accept certain conditions or outcomes) and Intent (willingness to go through with plans with full commitment) are the big items.

As to what kind of skills and tools will be required, most people can acquire those things at the baseline. But the psychological factors will decide how successful you are with them. Like you say, some guys can”t kill a chicken.

Your laziness and entitlement has been encouraged and your atheism and lack of solid values and a work ethic was inculcated into you by cult Marxist indoctrination. Now you lecture us on all kinds of irrelevant and fraudulent crap like global warming. Dad wasn’t allowed to spank you, remember?

    “many live with their parents.”

That’s because the housing market is no longer a means of providing habitation, but a casino rigged for the benefit of Boomers, speculators, and plain crooks whose losses are forcibly covered by savers and taxpayers via insane monetary experiments like ZIRP and the fruits of political capture like TARP.

Ten years ago housing bears wondered just who the Boomers were going to sell their inflated houses to, given no one else could afford them. Well, of course, they found the solution – just sell to the Chinese looking to spend their trade surpluses. So what if they sell off the country instead of bequeathing it to their posterity? God’s eleventh commandment is they must never take a loss.

So Millennials are loaded with debt for college educations that consist of worse than useless SJW indoctrination, they’re locked out of the housing ladder probably for life as things stand, and people wonder why they flock to a socialist froot loop like Bernie Sanders. Marxism (i.e. the promise of expropriating others’ wealth, especially when that wealth can be portrayed as ill-gotten) was made for these guys.

Not sure how old you are Lib but that’s a pretty accurate summary of how typical millennial grads think, minus the first part.

Can you imagine how much worse they would be if they realised how truly useless their ‘education’ is?

Too many are commies looking for free stuff. I was never so stupid as to get a sociology degree and go $200k into debt so I could get a job paying 30K. Most of these punks need a severe bitch slapping. They have been raised to be entitled socialists. Guess what- liberal arts degrees that bring in less lifetime income than your debt is a bad deal and if they had the brains they claim they have would know it without being told. Meanwhile they tell me and white people we should die and embrace our demise for their precious colored people. They aren’t even screwing. They are race and cultural traitors and proud of it. Fuck them.

If you boomers didnt import the third world for cheap labor, didnt send jobs overseas to boost your 401ks, and didnt vote for every piece of entitlement, the millenials would not be so screwed up. $21,000,000,000,000 in debt and now after sucking the life out of your country, you are reverse mortgaging your childrens inheiritance away to go boom some more.

Remember those first jobs you had in high school? Well now, bottom dollar immigrants get those jobs. I like how this boomer brags about cutting grass as a kid. You cant even cut grass today and make money…cause now a team of 5 wetbacks will do the job for half the price as one white boy. Funny thing is, i bet this boomer pays a white kid a mexican price to cut grass.

Considering that Mexican labor is no longer cheap and plentiful — and is transforming into gibsmedats like the blacks — that’s most likely more common than you’d think.

There’s a lot to unpack here and I haven’t read all the comments or the root of this comment from Jim but I’ll give a dissident millennials retort.

I doubt you do owe us anything Jim, and some of your fellow boomers to add, who very well represent the best of their generation. However, I owe you nothing and can comfortably toss the failures of my generation at your generation’s feet. Let’s not forget, dad, you are the ones who raised us. You stood idly by while Ted Kennedy, his minions, and their scum successors undid the world you were allowed to be born and raised in. Your observations are accurate and the shortcomings you recognize are aptly noted. However, your last paragraph needs to be crux of your thought, not a final, passing notion.

The Stephen Paddocks of the world are the ones who allowed for the monstrosities of today to be born and reared. Boomers have been busy fattening their defined benefit plans on my generations back, buying up all the prime properties so that my generation must live in cubicle size rentables owned by foreign interests, and chasing waifus from distant lands while your ex-wives brow beat and torment us. You forgot to keep your home, our home, in order. It’s not YOUR fault, but it’s not MINE either. We are victims of our existence. Born at the worst time under the worst conditions. Generation Z has protection, in the form of Donald Trump and the vanguard of the Alt-Right, which as I’m sure you are aware of, is made up of yes, you guessed it mostly millennials. Millennials didn’t have that; we had to navigate the world on our own with no guidance and boomers like you telling us to get off our ass and do something in a world that hates us and actively works against us.

You aren’t wrong when you say many of us have no accomplishments nor care to seek any; but there are among us many eager to earn such accolades, to make up for lost time, to live in a way that wasn’t allotted to us. Millennials like myself have lived in a world with no peace, we have been guilty from birth of our heritage and our mere existence as true heritage Americans makes us enemies of the state. We have been in a state of war all our life, a cultural war, where no one like Trump stood up for us. We were truly on our own. And you are surprised we turned to video games and iphones? We can’t even go to Starbucks or look on our iphones without being exposed to the world’s contempt for our existence. Yes, the worst of the world is among us, but just by chance maybe the best of the world is also among us as well, lying beneath our shamed exteriors desperately waiting for an opportunity to act and earn those accomplishments you talk about.

Before you lose hope in us millennials let me say that the world’s contempt, in addition to apathy, laziness, and weakness, is creating other traits in millennials like anger, which leads to hate, which leads to violence (taking action). I think you will be surprised who steps up from my generation when the time comes and what that looks like. No one thought Octavian would become Caesar Augustus. He, like us was a sickly youth, who in time took action and created the greatest civilization the world had known.

Yes, Generation Z will be the shock troops, however, don’t be surprised if they are led by people from my generation. We have the most to prove, and I believe, the most to gain, a world we heard about and saw in a not so distant past. There are ones among us who have had experiences like yours and aren’t just finger pointing do nothings.

I’m prepared to accept my generations faults and shortcomings, but honestly it seems boomers refuse to accept theirs.

I’m quite unique. I’m not the product of a boomer. My father was a World War II vet. I’m a millennial with a severe and happy disconnect from my generation because I was raised by the last vestiges of authentic America. More surprisingly it was done on the left coast, behind enemy lines.

Paddock was smuggling guns, drugs and children for the CIA. Bad example. Defined benefit plans would not be dead if we weren’t controlled by the Fed and our income looted while we pay sub humans to breed. This is by design and its not your father’s plan either.

Part of the problem with millenials and their percieved entitlement mentality stems from their boomer parents living vicariously through them and giving them wildly unrealistic expectations for life. They encourage the younger generation to not make the same “mistakes” they did (like skipping college, working hard, and grinding out a living) and insulate their adult children from adversity and condition them to be dependent.

And it’s the little stuff. A commenter on the previous post referred to another commenter as a “janitor” as an insult. That is precisely the reason millenials seem entitled. They have been inculcated to view hard work as demeaning. Nobody should be suprised when they don’t want to work. They have been told their whole libest that hard, dirty, sweaty work is for chumps.

Hopefully the millenials don’t repeat this mistake with their kids. I for one won’t.

Problem with men of today is that one can live an entire life without knowing if he is a coward
Was it Mencken who said this?
That is the essence of the failure, generation after generation each next one to a greater extent was purposely designed to fear conflict of any kind
Nothing worthwhile has ever been born in a swamp
The essence of the real man is a struggle
Such has been and such will always be
Masculinity is a struggle, it starts with the first fight on a dusty street your childhood and when it ends it time for others to take your place
Rediscovering and reviving masculinity is the the essence of civilizational survival so let me finish this short essay with a Mahatma Gandhi quote

“Those who want to live, let them fight, and those who do not want to fight in this world of eternal struggle do not deserve to live”

This post does a good job of drawing a distinction between accomplishment and accumulation.

Millenials constantly claim that they value “experiences over things.” But their typical “experiences” are pathetically shallow pursuits like going to trendy restaurants, music festivals, etc.

Even when they travel, it’s typically just to spend a day or 2 in a particular (usually cliched) location purely to check it off a list, never engaging with the locals or the natural beauty of the place on any meaningful level.

Whenever I see a Millenial out “experiencing” something, they’re mostly busy capturing and curating the “experience” for display on social media rather than appreciating it in real time.

At the end of the day, they’re no better than the “things”-loving Boomercucks they so revile. Both generations are equally insipid. They just took different routes getting to nowhere.
