I’m an old guy. I lived through Watergate and the Church hearings. Watergate was about some low-level campaign operatives that got caught breaking and entering and Nixon lying about it.

This is about using the most powerful institutions of government to try to affect the outcome of a presidential election. Watergate was a burglary gone south. This is about a coup. This is about treason. The people involved should be hung by the neck until dead. Watergate was bush league by comparison.

this is my take on all of this. Everyone thought Hillary was going to win so they didn’t bother covering their tracks. It’s why people this high up were saying so many dumb things over texts and emails. They probably thought they could find something / anything on him that could sink him before the election and then forced the Mueller investigation to distract or find something after while they covered their tracks. They never actually thought he (himself) might actually be clean and survive this. I expect them to all start eating each other in the next couple months and Trump to drop the hammer in Sep/Oct before the midterms.

This explanation ignores the obvious: If Hillary was such shoe-in, then there would have been NO NEED WHATSOEVER to have infiltrated the EGK’s campaign.
There are only two possibilities here:
1) They thought that Hillary was going to win in a landslide, but they needlessly infiltrated the EGK’s campaign out of pure unadulterated SPITE, or
2) They knew d@mned well that Hillary was a horrible candidate & they had seen the internal polls which showed her doing horribly with blue collar whites, and they infiltrated the EGK’s campaign to try to throw the election.

I think it all started as your first scenario (Why not use the DoJ, FBI, and the CIA as assets if you have them available and no one would ever know?) and it morphed into your second scenario as the campaign went on and it got worse for Hillary and the need some insurance against a Trump Presidency which would be a huge liability for them.
Once Hillary lost, they bet the farm on the Mueller investigation to find ANYTHING on him. So far nothing.

If you know that you’re ahead by double digits in the polls, then infiltrating the losing candidate’s campaign, just for the fun of it, is nothing short of sadistic.
There is another possibility here: I’ve read people hypothesizing that John Brennan knew that Obungo was a such a thin-skinned little brat of an overgrown boy that he could be triggered very easily into temper tantrums, and that Brennan saw to it that the myth of the pr0stitutes ur!nating on the hotel bed in Moscow was added to the fake dossier so that when it was shown to Obungo it would so infuriate him that he would approve whatever Brennan wanted.
If this angle is correct – that Brennan tricked Obungo into approving the spying, it still begs the question: Why would Brennan do it?
If you know with certainty that your candidate is up by double digits in the polls, then infiltrating that losing candidacy is an act of sadistic spite.
Or, again, on the other hand, if you know that all the polls being fed to the public are horsesh!t, and that you actually have a very very weak candidate, and you’re scared to death that she’s gonna lose, then everything starts to make sense.
PPS: There is a third possibility here, which is that some evopsych-aware Patriots in the Counter Deep State [guys like Mike Rogers at the NSA] knew how thin-skinned Obama was, and they knew that the EGK was getting under Obama’s skin, and they wanted to push Obama over the edge, and so they created the myth about the pr0stitutes ur!nating on the hotel bed, and fed it to the FBI, who fed it to Christopher Steele, who fed it to McAmnesty, who fed it back to the FBI, who showed it to Obungo, who promptly went nuts.

The option that Clapper/Comey/mcCabe etc are criminals is actually the optimistic one.
Unfortunately, it’s likely that there is no conspiracy as such; this is likely the standard modus operandi of the DC bureaucrats and them acting out the natural logik of their position.
Of course, as such this is much more concerning than a one time conspiracy by rogue elements of bureaucracy.

Carter Page, George Pap and Stefan Halper were used to create probable cause for the FISA warrants. Stefan Halper says to Carter Page “Have you heard the Russians ave Hillarys emails” and then when Carter Page, who is under NSA surveillance and unmasking reports back “I heard the Russians have Hillary’s emails” they use that as probable cause for the retrospective FISA warrants.
Its total deep state bollocks. But it didn’t work because leftists project and they assumed Trump must be as dirty as they are – and he isn’t. Not to mention there are still some good guys int he US Gov, such as Admiral Rogers and Mike Flynn (whose case is a classic stitch up, the Fed 302’s were amended post event, and it’s coming out under the new judge once the Obama appointee and dodgy FISA judge Conteras was booted from the case)
Your henchmen are going down. All that is up for debate now is whether they get Obama.

My father has been convinced since the Mueller investigation started that they would never find anything on Trump specifically. He says he is confident of that because 1) Outside of Twitter Trump doesn’t use a computer. IE no text, emails, files etc. 2) He has been a rich public figure for the past 20 +years and most likely has been audited by the IRS every year for decades.
He said its possible that he has done a dirty deal here and there but there will be absolutely zero evidence of it that ties it to him.

Oh wait, no one ever admitted who originally gave the stand down order. The base chief denied it altogether, although other witnesses admit he gave the order to wait twice and stand down once. So where did he get the order from? They did wait long enough for the jihadis to finish their work though. The important point of the Bengazi affair was never covered and that was the CIA funneling arms to islamist in Syria that got out of hand with those weapons winding up in the hands of people that wanted to do us harm. That is what was covered up!
