When someone states that “America has no identity” you have to accept you are talking to an ignorant know nothing or conniving jackal. When they say “America is not a nation it’s an idea” you have to accept they are also an idiot and treat them accordingly. Just look at how exporting that “idea” has worked out abroad.
America had an identity. The world knew what an American looked like, sounded like, and even acted like. We had our own culture and lifestyle that was unique to us and both the envy and contempt of our cousins in Europe. Americans were loud, brash, adventurous, and bold. We as a society were conquerors and builders; as a people fearless and courageous. We were given nicknames like “Yankee” and “Gringo,” testaments to that identity Ted and his ilk says doesn’t exist.
Yes, Americans were also defined by their race because the country was in fact mostly white. Do you think over the course of history any foreign people would disagree with that Mr. Lieu?
This Ted Lieu creature knows he spews venomous anti-American poison. He spews it because in his heart he knows he isn’t American and will never be American because he doesn’t meet the definition as defined by precedence. This is why he attacks Laura Ingraham, because he knows she IS an American and in order to redefine “American” so he can be included (and his third world followers) he must conquer and subjugate Laura and her American brethren. Laura’s only crime is that she would dare to stop it.
America, was a collection of all of Europa. The culmination of the adventurous and ambitious diaspora in Europe manifested across the sea as a new distinct people that was forged from the identities of all of Europe. Everyone knew when they had encountered an American, we left a distinct impression wherever we went. That impression was a testament to our identity. And yes, it was real.
America *had* an identity. What is her identity now? A world market bazaar for the barter of goods, services, and virtue signaling. That’s not an identity anyone would cherish, let alone fight to protect.
Make America Great Again implicitly means giving back an identity to America, one that was stolen from her by rapacious Globohomoists. And identity is inextricable from race; recovering American identity necessarily means recovering America’s predominant Whiteness.

I’ve seen this with Asians. If you are full-blooded Asian, it doesn’t matter to them what country you live in; you are Chinese or Japanese or whatever. The Chinese who live in Malaysia don’t consider themselves to be Malaysian. And lord help those Asian-Americans who go over thinking they’ll be accepted.
This happened to a friend of mine on an exchange trip. She didn’t speak the language natively, and she got bullied by everyone we came into contact with. They couldn’t understand why she didn’t speak the language, and they refused to accept her assertions that she was American. She gave up her language studies and changed majors after that trip.
The Chinese are brutal about this. I just hope they’re formulating their war plans against us with the expectation that they can rely on the Chinese-American population to flip to their side. It’ll just ensure they fail that much harder.

My classmate’s parents really should have warned her, before letting her go back to their homeland and encounter it first-hand. She had no idea what was coming. Or maybe her parents intentionally didn’t tell her, so she would experience it. Not sure.
It would have been nice if our language teacher had clued the rest of us in. My classmate almost got in at least one physical altercation over it, such was her frustration level.
This was before the current SJW wave had fully engulfed our university system. I’m not sure why we never discussed this. All I can offer is that this was during that weird time after 9/11 but before Obama, when we could all still get away with believing that foreigners were just like Americans, and why would any of them treat fellow college students badly?

Even look at their languages. Practically every major Asian language — Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai — is in its own language family unrelated, or at best very distantly related, to anything else.
This is in contrast to Europeans, who are almost all Indo-European speakers, or Africans, who are almost all Niger-Congo speakers. It would contribute to, and help explain, Asian nations’ insularity relative to each other, let alone to non-Asians. For that matter, non-Indo-European Europeans tend to be quite insular too… folks like the Basques, Finns, Hungarians, and Georgians.

Isn’t China actually made up of several dialects that are as distinct as the Scandinavian languages are from each other? I saw a news report how the government is trying to suppress Cantonese with that even more shrill “Mandarin” of the north and how the south Chinese aren’t too happy about it. Chinese has to be the most awful sounding language out there. Most of the others like Japanese or Malay just sound like foreign languages but Chinese is so harsh like angry cats fighting.

Most ethnic groups in Asia hate all the other ethnic groups. Seems like most of these animosities go back centuries, although modern events have thrown gasoline on the bonfire. Japan’s actions in WWII alone would have been enough to ensure that hatred never dies, and China’s current regional ambitions are a huge problem for everyone else, especially the Koreans and the Japanese.
It’s difficult to even think about lumping people together in a group labeled “Asian”. But this is the shorthand we have here in the US. I’m trying to stay non-specific about my example here, too.

Asian means nations of the Mongoloid race in America, we don’t call Hindus and Middle Easterners “Asians.” But in the UK it means Arabs and Hindus. I worked with a Cambodian fellow called “Shorty” who was a pornography freak. Oink, while I certainly don’t absolve the puritans of their part in this series of catastrophes, I still disagree on who is the master and who is the servant.
In the East, the (((tribe))) WERE the servants, and only became masters briefly until Stalin stamped on their faces again. They killed him, but the work was done, and Beria went to his death sobbing and groveling, literally, to the executioner.
In the West, the puritans’ role was to become “those who are for sale to the highest bidder.” The jews bought them, lock, stock, and barrel, and are now running the show. It’s stamped from end to end with semitic malice. The puritans are the worshipers of the almighty dollah who leap to obey when the (((tribe))) snaps their fingers.

Latin American Whites are part of the “continental Europe” family, their diaspora. When talking with older 90% Iberian Peruvians, I felt like we “get” each other in ways that non-Catholics don’t.
Scandinavians, despite being nominally Protestant, are also in that fold, rather than lumped in with the Protestant Anglosphere. They were always people of hearth and plow. The English and their magnificent diaspora is a breed of its own.

Few get it. ‘Puritanism’ is just the most extreme expression of that universalism, ie anti-clannishness, that makes the West what it is, with high trust, high trade, industry and science. The thing is America is more of an empire than a nation. There are multiple white nations living inside that empire. At the very least there are: Southerners, Cajuns, New England Yankees and Germans and Scandinavians in the Midwest. Yes, there has been some blending of different whites, more in some places than others, but that is also true for the nations of Europe today. Most of us are not that homogenized and these separate identities aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.
As a native Southron I see yankee settlements all around my state and not all of them are in big cities. They do not blend in and both they and the local native population sense the difference even if they are not prepared to express it. The underlying consciousness remains that these yanks are just immigrants, forming their own immigrant communities among us, insulting us and voting against us and I am not the only one whose hospitality is running out fast.

As a Yankee New Englander who has spent time in the Carolinas, can confirm.
The natives there were polite. But as soon as I opened my mouth to spill my Yankee tongue there was a distance there that neither party mentioned. I didn’t feel unwelcome. Just like this wasn’t my place, I didn’t fit there.
I didn’t dislike Southern Culture. I liked it fine. It just didn’t fit, and both parties knew it.
I had a Yankeedom high school teacher from the deep south, Alabama or something, who spoke with a deep drawl. We all liked her. And we regarded her as something of an alien curiosity. Same thing I guess.

Funny story: in my twenties, I hit it off with a manager of a construction crew, who asked me if I want to make a hundred bucks next Saturday helping his guys install office carpeting. I said “sure!” and showed up nice and early at the work site. We worked hard a good part of the day. It was fun, everyone was busting each others balls, normal good ole’ boy stuff.
During lunch break, we sat around eating our sandwiches and bantered every which direction and I said something about having some beers when we’re all done.

True, but they have been there for a long time and when America was formed the Jews who immigrated there came from Europe, up until 1830 it was mostly Sephardic Jews from Holland and England who settled mainly in south Carolina and then German Jews. The Ashkenazi east European Jews who are what most Americans recognised as Jews came later after 1800.

I worked with someone from Russia. When he first came to the U.S. they asked him his Nationality at immigration. He said Jooish. Because that is his nationality. The rest of the world knows that. In the U.S. people don’t understand the difference between a Nation, a country and a State. I taught this to my kids early on, and they never understood why people at school, etc. never made a distinction between these.

I’m pretty sure non Chinese can’t get citizenship in China because the laws are defined to only allow those genetically related to the Chinese to become citizens. Essentially you must be born to a Chinese national or be a near relative of a Chinese national and the only Chinese nationals are those who are ethnically/racially Chinese.

My city was once covered with ethnic enclaves – Jews, Irish, Slavs, Italians, Yankees. Heavy industry and other manufacturing was the source of many jobs, but, no more.For all of their deficiencies and pedos the Catholic/Christian church held an umbrella morality over the place. It was safe to move about. Most people had an inner peace – it seemed. It was a vibrant and fascinating place. It was just best to stay in your own neighborhood at night. Now it is a heavily subsidized socialistic principality. The big shiny new buildings are populated during the day by white suburbanites that clog the highways – during ‘rush hours.’. Joos control the media narrative and the politicians now and that development seemed to coincide with all of the other transformation.

It was founded an settled by Englishmen. For a long time, America was considered in league with England, and its White Dominions as they were called (Canada, Australia), as an Anglo-Saxon nation.
The dominant, and default, culture for America was English. Look at its superheroes: Clark Kent, Bruce Banner, Peter Parker, Bruce Wayne, Steve Rogers. When comic book writers wanted to create an ideal, but thoroughly typical American, they went with a tall, healthy WASP. Even on tv shews today, most characters will have English surnames because that’s understood to be American.
Yes, some other Europeans were added to the mix while it wasn’t perfect, overall it worked, on the following conditions:
1) that the Krauts, Micks, and Pollacks were kept to manageable and small numbers relative to the host culture and that a dominant culture prevailed; and,
2) that said immigrants dropped the forreign language and manner of dress and habits and were thoroughly assimilated into the predominant society. Could you imagine Eddie Rickenbacker instead of shooting down German planes in WW1, publishing letters in newspapers and talking on the radio with statements such as “as the son of German immigrants we need to remember that not all Germans are like that and F you Woodrow Wilson you racist Germanophobe, you’re not my president!” That’s what today’s ingrate immigrants are doing.
I was a at a resort in upstate NY last weekend. I love fleeing Canada and going there. Everyone is white, and I don’t mean 90% I mean you sit down at a restaurant and every single person at the joint is American. As you drive down the road, you see names on the mailboxes, “LeMay” and “Ryan” are about as forreign as it gets.

Yep that’s exactly what it is. Anti-communism doesn’t resonate with people the way it did 30 years ago. But basically what is going on is we have a communist revolution brewing in the streets and it can’t really be called out for what it is.
