A coterie of shitlib catladies has realized that, hey!, we can say whatever the fuck we want about a man we hate for his politics and pay no consequences for it. We will never be called out, questioned, doubted, or sued by the powers that be. We can make unfalsifiable statements and unprovable decades-old assertions about a public figure secure in the knowledge that we won’t be jailed for libel. No one can follow up and investigate our allegations for veracity, and anyone who dares to disbelieve us will be publicly pilloried as a misogynist. So why not play this card? It’s a freebie. We have everything to gain (deep-sixing the SCOTUS nomination of a right-winger) and nothing to lose (our credibility isn’t based on facts but on harmony with the reigning man-hating zeitgeist).
