RBG had pancreatic cancer and IMO she’s showing symptoms of pancreatitis. She’s always cold. Her skin is pale and clammy. She has no energy and sleeps all the time. It appears she is frequently in significant discomfort, if not outright pain.
Rumors are circulating in the legal community that she’s suffered a significant loss of her mental faculties and her clerks are doing most of her work.
She needs to step down but she won’t as long as Trump is in office. Hoping for a swift and pain-free end for her so she can join her husband soon.

Thomas has been a terrific Justice, but I hope he resigns next year. He’s 70 years old and has done the yeoman’s work of carrying the court for almost 30 years. Thomas can retire with honor and Trump can replace him with a reliable conservative in his 40s or 50s.

Understand your position, but if Trump loses in 2020, which is a real possibility, and Thomas retires thereafter then we are back to a 5-4 liberal court.
All respect to Thomas, but the right thing for him to do is to step aside and let Trump appoint a younger conservative justice who can carry the torch for 20-30 years.

Btw, Roberts swore up and down that he did not intend to stay on the Court for life. He’s from modest, middle-class stock and stated openly that he intended to go back to private practice to make some coin. He originally said he would spend ten years on the Court.
I used to practice at the same megafirm Roberts was at before going to the bench, although in a different practice group. Unlike many of the partners, he was extremely well respected and extremely well liked. Megafirms would pay him $2MM-$5MM per year just to have him on the letterhead.
Roberts is 63 years old. I can see him retiring soon to go back to private practice.

Justice Kavanaugh fits a profile of a lot of “Cad to Dad” conversions I’ve seen with devout Catholic men in the Knights of Columbus. It starts with marriage and the birth of really smart and pretty daughters and ends with middle aged women’s rights advocates.
Now the Left has gotten between Justice Kavanaugh and his expressing his love and devotion to his daughters via coaching their various sports ball activities. Thanks to their smear campaign and on-going threat of violence, this has been denied him for the rest of their childhood.
This will be neither forgiven nor forgotten.
The Left has converted “No better friend” on the SCOTUS for women’s rights issues into their worst enemy on everything. We are going to see a classic Irish blood feud played out between Justice Kavanaugh and the Left for his entire term on the SCOTUS.
And this feud will vastly limit Chief Justice Robert’s ability to go left for a lot of reasons starting with;
1. The flood of #METOO vexatious ethics complained aimed at Justice Kavanaugh that he as Chief Justice must now process,
2. The inevitable and systematic Leftist attack on the SCOTUS institutional reputation when the Left’s issues regards gun rights, immigration and voting rights start going down in flames under the Trump Administration legal assault, and
3. The Left’s next two-to-three freak outs when the 80 something liberal wing plus Justice Sotomayor start dropping like fly’s over the next six years.
Based on Justice Ginsberg physical demeanor and dress at Justice Kavanaugh’s swearing in ceremony with President Trump. She will be lucky to last another year on the court and she will not last five years.
Two to three more SCOTUS fights in Trump’s two presidential administrations will make the SCOTUS reviled on the Left and isolated from academia. Not a bad outcome, all in all.
