ps NPC is a role-playing video game acronym meaning Non-Player Character. NPCs were stock characters inserted into games to help progress the storyline. They said the same lines every time you met them, which is where the humor of the meme originates.

There’s one where you have the loading bar and the basic NPC, then when it’s loaded 100%, the NPC is dressed as antifa.

I just realized something. This NPC meme, and how the left and is reacting to it is revealing yet another form of their hypocricy.
They claim that calling them NPCs is dehumanizing them by denying their agency. Yet, isn’t this exactly how they treat women and my minorities?
One example of this is the claim that poverty causes crime. Poverty doesn’t cause crime, it is simply the reason some people choose to commit crime. It only causes crime if the person in question is a non-thinking NPC who cannot choose how it reacts to situations.
Another example which would seem to imply that leftists are the in fact NPCs is the idea that Trump incites violence. All of the violence is coming from the left. He is not causing their violence, he is simply the reason they CHOOSE to be violent. To claim otherwise is to admit that they actually are NPCs that cannot think, but only react according to a pre-written script.

Do they not even get the irony? They’ve been calling us on the right Nazis and Russian Bots and Drmpftards for years now. Now they’re concerned with “dehumanizing” people based on their political views?

Globohomos complaining about the NPC meme is ironic.
Specifically in regard to the meme’s implication that Leftists lack agency, since its no-agency (in the manner in which they wield it: for Trump voters) message of is the foundational subtext of the Leftist narrative that Russian election advertising threw the election for Trump.
The entirety of the Left, to include their media, “NatSec” agencies, and politicians were implying that “Russian” propaganda turned Trump voters into witless NPCs.
With agency = propaganda doesn’t matter because you have agency enough to weigh all information.
Without agency = you are an NPC product of the last “Russian” meme, and as a result we need to burn Trump’s first two years in office with investigations and endless cold war style hysteria.

The term NPC comes from table top pencil and paper role playing games. NPCs were played by the gamemaster. In the video game world as well as the previous online text only gaming (that bridged the gap between pencil and paper and today’s video games) NPCs are of course nothing but computer code.
